Two-handed weapon(orig. - "Two-handed") is one of the 18 character skills in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Part of the warrior skill group. Two-Handed Sword:
The fastest among two-handed weapons, it has a medium stamina consumption and enough attack speed to hit and parry on par with fast human and small animal opponents. Highly effective in the early and mid game against any opponents.

In the perk tree, the left side is responsible for damage reduction (requires a shield), and the right side is for offensive blocking.

6. Shooting arrows

A sideways power attack deals damage to all targets in front of you.

Requirements: Two-Handed Weapon 70, Crushing Blow or Great Charge

Indispensable for the extermination of weak, but numerous opponents or the boss's retinue.

Backwards power attack has a 25% chance to paralyze the enemy.

You can invest 21 skill points.

One-handed weapons increase the effectiveness of weapons such as swords, battle axes, maces, and daggers. The skill increase occurs with each hit and depends on the damage dealt (damage from enchantment is not taken into account), the number of hits does not matter. So whether you kill a bandit with 10 pokes of a dagger or three blows of a mace, it doesn't matter.

Some perks affect only a certain type of weapon, so if you use everything in a row, spend skill points on more versatile ones.

1-5. Strong hand (5 levels) ★

One-handed weapons deal 20/40/60/80/100% more damage.

Requirements: One-handed weapon 0/2040/60/80

It does not depend on the type of weapon used, therefore it is useful for all swordsmen.

6. Fighting stance ★

Power attacks require 25% less stamina.

Requirements: One-Handed Weapon 20, Strong Hand 1

Allows you to carry out power attacks more often. Especially useful if you're looking for two-handed attacks, as it pairs well with the Double Whirlwind and Double Meat Grinder perks.

7-9. Swordsman (3 levels)

Sword attacks have a 10/15/20% chance to deal critical damage.

Critical hits increase damage by 50%. On average, at level 1, damage increases by 5%, and at level 3 - by 15%. Also good, but a strong hand is better.

10-12. Bonebreaker (3 levels)

A mace attack ignores 25/50/75% of the target's armor.

Requirements: One-Handed 30/60/90, Strong Hand 1

Useless against unarmored targets, but makes it easier to fight against heavily armored opponents. For example, most bosses.

13-15. Grunt (3 levels)

Ax attacks deal additional bleeding damage.

Requirements: One-Handed 30/60/90, Strong Hand 1

Blood loss depends on the damage of the ax, but in general each hit gives 1-3 damage for 3-6 seconds. As the level increases, the effect increases. It is, in fact, an analogue of poison with a short duration of effect.

16-17. Double whirlwind (2 levels)

Attack with two hands is 20/35% faster.

Requirements: One-Handed Weapon 30/50, Strong Hand 1

18. Snatch

Allows you to carry out a power attack while sprinting. The critical damage dealt is doubled.

Weaker than the description suggests: double crits only pierce on the first hit and (more importantly) difficult to execute. Although in the case of playing the role of a berserker with two swords, it can be useful: the swordsman perk and weapons in both hands provide a good chance of a critical hit.

19. Ruthless Strike

Standing Power Attacks deal 25% more damage.

Requirements: One-Handed Weapon 50, Fighting Stance

Gives a significant damage bonus. Chopping off the head is suitable only as a fatality - it works only when the enemy dies (there is no chance of killing with one blow).

20. Double meat grinder ★

Dual-handed power attacks deal 50% more damage.

Requirements: One-Handed Weapon 70, Dual Whirlwind 1

A great perk if your character is dual-wielding - the effect is much higher than the Relentless Strike and Dash perks (and stacks with both).

21. Paralyzing Strike

Power attack with moving backwards paralyzes the enemy in 25% of cases..

Requirements: One-Handed Weapon 100, Merciless Strike or Dash

16 skill points can be invested

Shooting increases the effectiveness of using bows. The skill increase occurs with each hit and depends on the damage dealt (damage from enchantment is not taken into account, bonus damage from an arrow is taken into account), the number of arrows spent does not matter. If the enemy completely blocks the arrow, then the skill increase does not occur.

1-5. Overstretch (5 levels) ★

Bows deal 20/40/60/80/100% more damage.

The only damage perk. Be sure to take it first.

6-8. Critical Shot (3 levels)

12. Thrifty hunter

Twice as many of your arrows are stored on corpses.

Requirements: Archery 50, Critical Hit 1

Useful only when using rare and expensive arrows. If you use common ones (iron, steel, etc.), then there are much more interesting options.

13. Powerful shot ★

An arrow hit causes all but the largest enemies to stagger 50% of the time.

Requirements: Marksmanship 50, Eagle Eye

A very useful skill: in the time until the enemy regains balance, you can fire one or two more arrows. It also cancels spell casting and block. Yes, and to break the distance, if the enemy came close, it will not be superfluous for the archer.

14. Gamekeeper

Movement speed decreases less while aiming.

In truth, there aren't many absolutely better weapons in Skyrim, thanks to the fact that some use of enchantments and other mechanics can make just about any weapon viable with any difficulty - even your bare fists! With that said, some of the most famous weapons in the game are unique weapons that can be found in specific locations or through specific quests. Each unique weapon has its own set properties, a unique name, and very often an enchantment that will give it some sort of special advantage.

Best Skyrim Daggers

There are over ten unique daggers in the game, but we're going to focus on a couple that we think are especially excellent. If you're creating a character for stealth play, they can prove to be quite a significant weapon for you for quite some time.

Mehrunes Razor

Mehrunes' Razor is a decent little dagger thanks to its base damage status of 11, but what really sets it apart is its enchantments. Any strike with Mehrunes' Razor has a chance to instantly kill the enemy.

To get the Razor of Mehrunes, you need to complete the quest "Pieces of the Past" and kill Silus Vesuya at the end of the quest. You will be prompted to complete this quest once you reach level 20 via the courier, or you may stumble upon the quest while walking around Dawnstar; where they will tell you about the museum of Silus, that's where you need to go to start the mission.

Blade of Woe

This dagger is even more powerful than the Mehrunes Razor with a base damage of 12, its enchantment is useful for fighting powerful enemies - each hit absorbs 10 health points.

The Blade of Woe can be obtained from an NPC during the Death Incarnate quest, part of the Dark Brotherhood faction questline. You can also follow the early quest steps and kill Astrid during the With Friends Like These quest. You will be able to take the Blade of Woe from her body, but you will no longer be able to join the brotherhood.

Best Skyrim Maces

There are even fewer unique maces in the game, but some of them are still impressive. Maces are really meant for people who want to master the real power of the character and deliver devastating blows to their enemies.

Mace of Molag Bal

This artifact is quite powerful, with a base damage of 16. It also comes with an enchantment that takes away 25 damage, stamina, and magicka. On top of that, if the target dies within 3 seconds, you will fill a soul gem.

The mace is given to you after completing the Daegric Quest House of Horrors. In the city of Markarth, a leader named Tyranus will ask you for help finding an abandoned house. As soon as you enter the house with or without a clue, this quest will begin. Finish the quest, take the mace.


The best Skyrim swords

Swords are, of course, the most common weapon class you'll find in Skyrim. There are many of them, they are unique and scattered all over the world. For you, we have collected the best samples that are worthy to be seen.

Sword of Miraak

Players of the original Skyrim may not be familiar with the Sword of Miraak since it was added in the Dragonborn DLC, but it's a pretty darn good weapon. The sword absorbs stamina thanks to its enchantment and it has sustained damage.

To get your hands on it, you will need to start quests with the dragon priest, going to the island of Solstheim. When you're ready, two priests will tell you about the "first dragon" and try to kill you. This will start the DLC quest line. After a few quests, you will be taken to the final Dragonborn quest, on top of Apocrypha. You will be able to take this weapon as loot from a corpse at the end of this quest. It's a long process to get to it, but it's worth it.

Chiller is a glass sword and is great for enemies who don't like frost damage. His spells inflict frost damage and have a chance to paralyze enemies.

The weapon is held by the leader of the Thieves Guild, Mercy Frey. The easiest way to access it is to find it in Frey's house during the Purist Thieves Guild quest. It is proudly displayed in a case and has an expert pick lock that will give you access to it. Keep in mind that these weapons are level dependent, so how good they are will be determined by your level.


Curse of the Dragon

Do you spend an awful lot of time in Skyrim fighting dragons? The dragon's curse means that it deals additional damage to dragons. This sword is level dependent, so its performance will be partly determined by your level the first time you pick it up.

The Dragon's Curse is located in the Heavenly Temple during the Wall of Alduin quest, it is an important step in the main story of the game. In order to take it you need to find a room next to the main chamber of the temple.


Strangler and Blood Scythe

Two more weapons that were added in the Dragonborn DLC. These two swords were designed to be double swords. When activated, the player gains a powerful enchantment to absorb magic and health, reducing the target's defense against further physical and magical attacks.

You will need to walk to the Dragonborn questline to get to Solstheim. Once you reach level 36 or higher, you will find a copy of the book, Deathbrand inside Tel Mithrin or Raven Rock Temple. You will receive both of these weapons through a quest.


Black Blade of Gauldur

Gauldur's Blackblade is another level dependent weapon, meaning its effectiveness will be determined by your level when you first find it. The best version of it is used at level 36. As a weapon of the ancient Nord, the dwarven blacksmith's fist will help you make it even more deadly.

The sword can be picked up during the Forbidden Legend quest. You can start this quest by reading the book Lost Legends - this will start the search for the legend of Galdur. You can find one of the books naturally, you will find it on the body of a dead adventurer in Reachwater rock. Later in the quest, you will find yourself in the ruins of Golguntur - upon completion, this sword will be your reward.


Best Skyrim Battle Axes

Battle axes are less popular weapons than the sword. We have selected a couple of axes to show you.

Okin

Okin is a cool Nordic battle axe. It contains a frost spell, and is dangerous to the enemy's stamina, health, and has a stable base damage of 12. It can be upgraded and upgraded with a blacksmithing piece of steel.

To enjoy Okin, you need to complete the Silence of Tongues quest. You can find it in the wreckage of Volundrud by exploring around - you will find notes that will start pushing you towards the quest. In the end, you will receive this weapon as a reward.


Dawnguard Rune Ax

As the name of this weapon suggests, it can be found in the Dawnguard DLC pack. It uses solar damage against the undead, and the amount of damage increases each time for each undead enemy you have killed with an ax since the last sunrise - this is its unique effect.

For players who like to play with two-handed weapons in Skyrim, there are quite a few unique types of axes, hammers and swords. So we grouped them together.

Wuutrad

If you don't like elves, this weapon is definitely for you. It does even more damage to elves, and that's on top of its base damage set to 25. It also looks pretty bloody, to be honest.

In order to become the owner of this weapon, you need to complete the task "The Last Duty", and for this you will have to join the Companions faction. The Last Duty is the final quest for this faction. You can take the ax of Wuutrad on the statue by activating it.


Ax of Sorrow

It is described as a very powerful weapon - it has a base damage of 22. It can be upgraded at the forge.

The ax can be found in search of Daedra. Once you reach level 10 or higher, you'll want to find Lod near the Falkreath entrance. When given a chance, kill Barbas with an axe. You must use an ax to kill him. You can keep it as a reward.


Bloodthirsty Blade

Originally added in the Dragonborn DLC, this greatsword releases an energy blast when you make an attack. The energy blast also deals 30 damage.

You need to start the Dragonborn main quest and then head to the Raven Rock Mine. Chat with Cresius at the entrance to the mine and start the quest "The Last Descent". You will find the blade next to the remains of Gratian Caerellius later in the quest, in the Bloody Swamp.

The Nightingale Bow is actually owned by Karliah, a member of the Thieves Guild and temporary dragonborn follower for some of that guild's quests. The best version is at level 46 and up.

To become the owner of a nightingale bow, you will have to join the Thieves Guild and follow your questline. By the end of this series of quests, you will receive the Blindsighted quest. This bow is the reward for completing this quest. He also gives you a bone key, so it's a really rewarding quest.

Stag King's Glass Bow

This bow has a charm that blesses you for every 20 animals you kill with a bow perfect for hunting. The blessing does the most, but it also provides a significant boost to health and stamina while the bow is equipped.

You can get the Bow from Falas Selvayn at the Old Trading Post. He's on Solstheim, so it's part of the Dragonborn DLC. The bow can be taken by stealing or simply bought.


Black Bow of Gauldur
