The lower armor plate, having a thickness of 76 mm, has almost no slope, which without a doubt makes it possible to penetrate Conqueror without problems in NLD with guaranteed damage. And with a side armor thickness of 51 mm, tanking will not work, whatever one may say.

The Conqueror tower makes it possible to play WoT with pleasure. After all, 152 mm in the forehead and 89 mm on the sides, with rational angles of inclination - and we get a rebound tower. Yes, it is very difficult to break through the Conqueror in the tower in a duel. Especially if the tank does not stand still, but constantly moves, does not allow surveillance devices to aim.

Dynamics and maneuverability of the Conqueror, as it seemed to me, is absent. Although the maximum speed of 34 km per hour pleases, but at the same time, the turning speed of the chassis is only 26 degrees, which of course is not enough. But still, it will be possible to leave them under enemy fire at such a speed, the Conqueror is clearly not a Maus.

The Conqueror is a tier 9 heavy British tank in World of Tanks. In many ways, it continues the concept of its predecessor in the branch: an accurate gun with small one-time damage for its level, relatively weak armor. Compared to its predecessor, the vertical aiming angles have slightly worsened, but, in general, there are no cardinal differences in the tactics of using these machines.

Magnificent weapon

So, let's start with the gun, which this British tank has is simply magnificent. One-time damage of 400 units is the minimum for this level and class, but it pleases with accuracy (0.33) and aiming speed (1.9 seconds). One of the best in the game is stabilization, to some extent this is due to not the best mobility (after all, this is a heavy tank). It is not uncommon to hit a moving enemy on the move from a distance of several hundred meters.

Damage per minute is almost 2300 HP, which is a good indicator for a heavy tank. Penetration is one of the best for this level and class: a regular projectile penetrates an average of 259 mm, a "gold" sub-caliber - 326 mm. Even the high-explosive projectile went to the British good: it penetrates 120 mm and inflicts 515 damage. Although in modern conditions it is often ineffective to shoot with land mines even at completely “cardboard” opponents.

Armor is not good

For a heavy tank, armor is extremely important, here the Conqueror is not doing so well. The thickness of the upper frontal part is 130 mm, although it is located at an angle, it is often penetrated by vehicles of the eighth level. The lower frontal part can also be pierced by a light tank. The thickness of the sides is only 51 mm, so they break through even at a very large angle. The sides are protected by screens, but they only significantly reduce the damage from the splash of high-explosive artillery shells, nothing more.

The tower is much better protected, although the thickness of the armor can hardly impress: in the forehead of the tower 152 mm, in the sides - only 89 mm. But rational tilt angles, streamlined shapes and a strong gun mantlet save. Naturally, the Conqueror easily penetrates the side of the turret, but it often “tanks” with its forehead. Vulnerable are the "cheeks", although few people guess to shoot at them, and surveillance devices. If you stand still, then they will pierce you quite easily, even if you hide the body.

Conqueror Dynamics

The dynamics for a heavy tank is not bad: the maximum speed is limited to 34 km/h, but the specific power is almost 15 hp. per ton. The Conqueror accelerates quite briskly and climbs gently up hills relatively quickly. But on the spot, it spins mediocrely (the speed of rotation of the suspension is 26 degrees per second), some fast medium tank will be able to spin you.

The safety margin is 1950 units, which is a good value for this level and class. The review reaches 400 meters, which is also good. The ammunition load holds 35 shells, which is not so much, but it is almost impossible to shoot them all in battle. Compared to its predecessor, the vertical aiming angles are somewhat frustrating: the gun drops down by 7 degrees, so that in some positions you will not be able to shoot at the enemy.

Tank Conqueror in battle

The tactics of using these tanks often depend heavily on the level of combat. If you are in the top and you will have to fight mostly against vehicles of the seventh and eighth levels, then you should play the classic role of a heavy tank, that is, go ahead, "tank" and deal damage mainly at close range. The armor of the Conqueror is rather mediocre, but if you hide the lower frontal part, "tank" through the tower, use terrain folds, then you will often not be penetrated. Excellent stabilization allows you to show up for a shot literally for a moment and at the same time shoot accurately at vulnerable spots.

If you are thrown into battle with mostly tanks of the tenth level, then you should not climb forward. Your armor is no longer worth much in battles of such levels, and there will be much more experienced opponents. It is better to play the role of a second-line support tank. Penetration even with an ordinary projectile will be enough against most opponents, and good accuracy with such tactics will not be superfluous at all. But this means that you need to be afraid to go forward. Often you need to help the allies, cover him with your tank if he has few hit points left.

In battles with ten levels, Conquer armor does not save

In general, good accuracy and excellent stabilization of the gun should be used to the maximum. If possible, force a firefight on the enemy at long distances, most likely, you will hit and pierce more often. Conqueror feels good on hilly terrain, vertical aiming angles are sometimes not enough for positions where the same T32 can realize a strong turret, but excellent stabilization, on the other hand, allows you to show the turret for a shot in just an instant.

Stabilizer for ventilation

From the standard set for a high-level heavy tank (rammer, stabilizer and coated optics), you can exclude the stabilizer and replace it, for example, with improved ventilation. Still, the stabilization of the British tank is already very good, although a lot here depends on personal preferences. For some, "stabilization does not happen much." In a standard set of equipment from a repair kit, first aid kit and a fire extinguisher, the latter can be replaced with pudding with tea. The tank rarely burns.

The choice of perks is also not difficult, everything here is standard for a heavy tank: repair and the sixth sense of the commander are of paramount importance. There is no point in disguise, Conqueror is large, easily glows, so it will not be possible to play effectively on it from disguise. The loader will not be out of place with a non-contact ammo rack, the shells of the Conqueror are located in front of the hull.

In general, tanks of the Conqueror series are very comfortable vehicles in the game. An accurate penetrating gun with excellent stabilization allows you to hit the enemy from a distance of 400-500 meters. The Briton also shows himself well in close combat. Now consider the strongest and most pleasant side of this unit - its armament. The fact is that on the Conqueror, the gun costs from a vehicle of the tenth level, which means that we finally have a good alpha strike and armor penetration is almost always enough.

You can also note a good rate of fire, which in total with the above characteristics allows you to deal about 2285 damage per minute, and taking into account modules and crew perks, this figure can be accelerated to almost 2800.

Our dispersion circle is always very small, the stabilization is excellent and the aiming speed is excellent, which allows you to shoot very accurately right away and not waste time on aiming after stopping.

In other respects, the Conqueror WoT's gun sloshes down by 7 degrees, which is pretty good, and the turret turns at an acceptable speed, there are absolutely no complaints about the gun, this is our main advantage.

On the first line, the heavy tank Conqueror WoT is also capable of a lot, but here it is very important to constantly dance, slightly turn the hull and stand with your forehead to the enemy, hide your NLD. At the same time, it is important to use superiority in accuracy, shoot on the move, push the enemy to shoot, but in no case let him on board. Due to the poor mobility of the Conqueror, the tank is easy to spin, in such cases it is better to have several allies nearby.
