Gazpromneft winter diesel fuel from what date. Standard frost resistance

Choosing the right gas station that has both acceptable quality fuel and not exorbitant prices is often no easier than choosing a car, because the duration and safety of the operation of your vehicle’s components, as well as the security of your wallet, depend on these parameters. Therefore, we present a rating of gas stations in terms of quality in 2018-2019 in Moscow and the region.

What is quality gasoline?

Why refuel a car with decent gasoline and how to determine which one is better? We answer the first question: low-quality gasoline adversely affects the engine starting procedure, quickly disables spark plugs and damages the components of the fuel system. Remember that the longer you save money and opt for gas stations that offer low quality gasoline, the more endangered your car is.

Gazpromneft

The gas station network from the largest Russian company does not leave indifferent millions of car owners across the country. All fuel complies with the Euro 4 standard, and therefore you can not worry about the safety of the elements of your car.

In addition to gasoline and diesel fuel available at all gas stations, Gazpromneft is also expected to offer gas. Gas stations are almost always equipped with corners for relaxing or buying a bite to eat on the road, and the professionalism of the employees is not satisfactory.

Rosneft

A major player in the Russian fuel market not only provides a license for the sale of BP oil products, but also has the widest network of gas stations throughout Russia. Own production, as well as the status of the most important state corporation, guarantees consumers the quality of fuel. And at their gas station, perhaps, the most delicious coffee.

Lukoil

A widely recognized leader among domestic suppliers of refined products. The fuel complies with Euro 5 standards and constantly wins awards for the environmental performance of its gasoline, and customers usually stay with Lukoil for a long time after the first use.

A big plus against the background of many competitors is the breadth of the offer of petroleum products, which allows you to refuel any car without fear of losing its performance. The prices at the gas stations of this company are quite high, but the excellent quality of gasoline here is complemented by excellent service and additional services, and therefore you have to overpay a little.

We hope that our review on which gas stations to buy fuel at will help you choose the right network of gas stations for your soul and budget, as well as keep the key technical elements of your vehicle safe and sound. Good luck on the road and do not save on the most important.

On July 1, 2014, a new state standard for diesel winter and arctic fuel will be put into effect. The initiators of the development of the new GOST were specialists from Gazprom Neft.

Low pour point diesel fuel produced by catalytic dewaxing does not freeze at -52°C and can be used in the Far North

NON-TECHNOLOGICAL CIRCUMSTANCES

The Russian system of state standards requires updating in many industries. First of all, such a need is dictated by technological progress, sometimes fundamentally changing the standardized product itself or its production technology. This is exactly the case with the standards for winter grades of diesel fuel.

The main diesel fuel standard valid until 2013 is GOST 305–82 “Diesel fuel. Specifications” was adopted in 1982. At that time, in most domestic oil refineries, all types of diesel fuel were obtained by direct distillation of oil. The selection of hydrocarbon fractions for summer diesel fuel took place at boiling temperatures in the range of 180–360°C. Such fuel freezes (pour point) already at -5°C. To obtain winter diesel fuel that does not freeze down to –35°C, the boiling point was lowered to 340°C. Under such conditions, heavy fractions of hydrocarbons (paraffins) do not enter the fuel, for which solidification at higher summer temperatures is just characteristic. In the future, these "screened" fractions are used for the production of fuel oil - one of the lowest-margin products.

The boiling point limit of 340°C for winter diesel fuel was fixed among other physical and chemical parameters in GOST 305-82. However, a more efficient method for obtaining winter and arctic diesel fuels has now been developed - using catalytic dewaxing. In this case, the limiting boiling point for winter fuel will be the same as for summer fuel: 360°C. This discrepancy with GOST was, until recently, a stumbling block in the way of the most technologically advanced production of winter diesel.

However, this contradiction did not disappear with the adoption of another GOST, which now regulates the quality of diesel fuel. “Since 2013, in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union, GOST 305–82 has been distributed only for export supplies and the needs of the state defense order,” explained Tamara Mitusova, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor at the All-Russian Research Institute for Oil Refining (VNII NP). - The main document, according to which diesel fuel is currently produced, is GOST R 523685-2005 “Diesel fuel Euro”. Fuel "Euro" is intended for use in modern diesel engines, it contains a package of additives for various functional purposes and is of higher quality compared to fuel that complies with GOST R 305-82.

However, GOST "Euro" - an analogue of the European EN 590 - is not ideal: in addition to the fact that it still contains the same boiling point of 340 ° C, which is typical for winter fuel produced by direct distillation, it lacks standards for arctic fuels. The temperature of use of the Euro winter diesel, indicated in GOST, is not lower than -44 ° C. At the same time, low freezing diesel fuel produced by catalytic dewaxing does not freeze at -52°C and can be used in the Far North.

DIESEL BREAKTHROUGH

The technology of catalytic dewaxing, which necessitated the development of a new standard, was invented at the end of the last century. Its essence lies in the fact that long molecules of normal paraffinic hydrocarbons are split (cracked) and isomerized with the help of specially selected crystals with a complex structure - catalysts (see diagram). That is, in fact, they are shortened. At the same time, their freezing point decreases significantly and corresponds to the temperatures of lighter fractions. Depending on the type of dewaxing process, the yield of dewaxed fuel can be 85–95%. In addition, the cetane number of fuel obtained in this way is higher than that of conventional diesel. In practice, this means reduced fuel consumption and increased engine efficiency.

For a long time, the catalytic dewaxing method did not find industrial application due to the high cost and complexity of the production of catalysts, as well as the need to modernize the corresponding oil refineries. In the West, its introduction began somewhat earlier than in Russia. In our country, catalytic dewaxing is currently used by only a few industries, including the Omsk Oil Refinery. For this purpose, in 2011, the ONPZ upgraded the equipment at the L-24/7 diesel hydrotreatment unit.

RENEWAL FACTORS

Catalytic dewaxing at the Omsk Refinery was launched in 2012. This made it possible to significantly increase the production of winter diesel fuel. Since the resulting fuel does not meet the existing GOSTs (in terms of boiling point), it was produced according to TU - technical conditions. From a legal point of view, the application of state standards is voluntary, only observance of the Technical Regulations *, which determines the main parameters of the product, is mandatory. This is fully supported by the specifications.

However, the development of a new GOST was still necessary for several reasons. Firstly, there are large consumers on the market, such as the Ministry of Defense or the Federal Reserve Agency, which, due to some internal features, use only products that comply with GOST. “If contracts for the supply of products contain references to the need to comply with standards, then they are considered as an annex to the contract, and their failure to comply is a violation of the contract,” said Vladimir Bulatnikov, chief technologist of VNII NP.

Secondly, the attitude of the consumer towards state-owned products is traditionally better than towards products manufactured according to factory specifications, industry standards, etc. Since the company's prospects include a large-scale increase in diesel fuel output at the Moscow Refinery, compliance with GOST may become a decisive factor: the Moscow market is the most capricious and sensitive to marketing markers.

And finally, do not forget that Russia is a member of the Customs Union, which has its own technical regulations. Compliance of products with GOSTs ensures their legitimacy on the territory of the states that are members of the Union. “In accordance with the agreement “On uniform principles and rules of technical regulation in the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation”, national standards are a document that supplements the regulation and facilitates the proof of product compliance with the requirements of the technical regulation. Specifications are not such a document,” said Vladimir Bulatnikov.

The new GOST R 55475 "Dewaxed Winter and Arctic Diesel Fuel" was developed at the VNII NP for two years. The standard (in fact, the winter diesel fuel produced according to the new technology) has passed the procedure of coordination with the largest manufacturers of automobile engines - KamAZ and the Yaroslavl Motor Plant. Now GOST is in print and will come into force on July 1, 2014.

There is no doubt that the new winter diesel will be in demand on the market. At present, there is a shortage of low-solidification fuels in Russia. The production of winter diesel of the total volume of diesel fuel is only 14.6%, and arctic fuel - no more than 1%. According to Alexander Rodionov, Head of the Market Forecasting Department of Gazprom Neft, in 2012, all deliveries of winter diesel fuel (grades with a filterability limit temperature (PTF) not higher than –20°C according to the current Technical Regulations for motor fuels) to the Russian market in 2012 amounted to about 10.6 million tons. At the same time, the demand for DTZ was estimated at 11.7 million tons. The lack of fuel was covered by surrogate and off-season grades of diesel fuels. In total, in 2012, the share of Gazprom Neft supplies of winter diesel fuel that complies with the Technical Regulations amounted to about 15%. With the introduction of the new GOST, the output of DTZ by the method of catalytic dewaxing at the ONPZ will increase by 60–80 thousand tons per year. After the commissioning of dewaxing and hydrocracking processes at other plants of the company, Gazprom Neft will be able to completely close its market niches for winter diesel in 2016-2019.

* Technical regulation - a document adopted by an international treaty of the Russian Federation, ratified in the manner prescribed by the legislation of the Russian Federation, or an intergovernmental agreement, or a federal law, or a decree of the President of the Russian Federation, or a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, or a regulatory legal act of a federal executive body on technical regulation, and establishes mandatory requirements for the application and implementation of requirements for objects of technical regulation: products, including buildings, structures and structures, or processes of design (including surveys), production, construction, installation, adjustment, related to product requirements, operation, storage, transportation, sale and disposal.

Igor Barsukov,
the head of the Department
development of oil refining
and petrochemistry

The approval of the new standard is a long-awaited event, we put a lot of effort into making it happen. This GOST will allow us to increase the production of winter diesel, thereby covering our own needs and taking a decent share in the Russian market. In addition, diesel fuel produced using catalytic dewaxing technology will be of higher quality and environmental friendliness. This is another definite plus.

The Russian economy is very much tied to the northern regions, now we have begun active development of the Arctic, which means that the consumption of winter grades of diesel fuel will only grow, and Gazprom Neft is ready for this.

The development of the product line is a necessary condition for the company's success in a highly competitive environment. This year, Gazprom Neft introduced new branded gasolines to the market, and also began active promotion of Diesel Opti fuel, which is already well known to residents of several regions.

Diesel Opti. History of success

The history of Diesel Opti entering the market began in 2015 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Soon the geography of sales expanded due to the network of gas stations "Gazpromneft" in Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Omsk. The choice of the Siberian market as a pilot market was dictated by the opportunity to test a new product in the most severe climatic conditions. By the end of 2015, the new diesel engine also appeared at the filling stations of the network in the Urals and in the Krasnodar Territory.

In addition to the high quality typical for all types of fuel sold at Gazpromneft gas stations, Diesel Opti is distinguished by improved performance compared to non-branded diesel. The multifunctional high-tech components included in the composition of the fuel have cleaning properties and prevent the subsequent formation of deposits on the intake valves and engine injectors. It is the deposits on the injectors that prevent the complete combustion of the fuel, which further leads to its overspending. In turn, the gentle cleaning of the injectors, which provides "Diesel Opti", can reduce fuel consumption. The amount of savings when switching to Diesel Opti depends on the condition of the engine, its characteristics, and the quality of the previous fuel. During laboratory tests, fuel savings in the range of 4-7% have been demonstrated.

Dmitry Guzeev,
General Director of Gazpromneft - Corporate Sales:

Especially tangible savings from the use of "Diesel Opti" will be for commercial vehicles, which consume more than 70% of all diesel fuel. These are trucks, buses, special equipment of municipal households in such industries as large and small retail, transport companies, public transport, city ambulance services, police and others. In transport companies and companies with their own vehicle fleet, spending on fuel and lubricants can reach one third of the total budget. The fuel economy provided by Diesel Opti is an important resource for increasing the efficiency of the vehicle fleet.

The innovative additive used in the production of Diesel Opti has undergone a comprehensive bench study, including in the laboratory of the German company APL Group, a recognized international expert in the field of highly efficient testing of motor fuels and petrochemicals. APL Group tests were carried out in accordance with the European Coordinating Council (CEC) standard and were then confirmed by an independent examination of the North-West Scientific Research Center for Fuel and Lubrication (Russia). “All tests, both in Germany and in Russia, confirmed that the components of the innovative Diesel Opti fuel effectively prevent the formation of internal deposits in the injectors, gently clean the injectors and valves from the already formed soot, thereby protecting the engine and fuel fittings” , - says Viktor Chuyakov, General Director of Gazpromneft Laboratories.

However, any quality is best tested in practice. The new diesel engine had the opportunity to show its worth this summer, when Gazprom Neft sent the Diesel Opti to one of the most difficult rallies on the planet - the Silk Way.

Innovative fuel - battle test

Off-road test

Gazprom Neft has been supporting the Silk Way Rally for many years, providing its organizers with the opportunity to refuel at their filling stations during the race. But this time the company has become not just a fuel partner, but a real participant in the rally, sending a fuel truck filled with five tons of Diesel Opti along with the caravan. His combat mission included refueling media crews with well-known journalists and bloggers on board who agreed to participate in the experiment.

“It was the first such experience for us,” says Yana Belyakova, Deputy General Director for Marketing at Gazpromneft Center. “Of course, we were confident in the quality of our fuel, but here it was to be tested with superloads, and then broadcast the results in real time.”

For the purity of the experiment, four brand new Land Rover cars were taken as experimental cars. For two weeks of the rally, they traveled almost 10 thousand kilometers - from Moscow to Chinese Xi'an. Most of the way, to the border with China, the cars were refueled exclusively by Diesel Opti, and on the Chinese section of the race they stocked up on the maximum with the fuel that had already become native. “Last year, I went to the Silk Road, and in Kazakhstan, our car stopped because of low-quality diesel fuel,” Anton “Avtoman” Vorotnikov, a well-known autoblogger, shares his impressions of participating in the race. - This year we were accompanied by a fuel truck with Diesel Opti, and the car was running perfectly. On one stretch, I even set a personal record for fuel consumption: 5.7 liters per 100 km. For a large SUV, this is an impressive result.”

No less impressive was the result of checking the fuel system of the cars after the race, when they were taken back to Moscow. Here, in addition to regular diagnostics, technical experts studied the condition of the fuel, oil and air filters, checked the oil. And then carried out additional computer diagnostics. Studies have shown that the fuel system and engine remained as new. This is exactly the result for which the experiment was started. “We chose the Silk Road as a universal platform for testing fuel before bringing it to the mass market, and we were not mistaken,” believes Yana Belyakova. “Diesel Opti proved that it can be poured not only into trucks that “endure everything”, but also into expensive SUVs with a sensitive fuel system.”

The innovative fuel, tested by Siberian frosts, summer heat and off-roads of Eurasia, will replace conventional diesel fuel at all Russian filling stations of the Gazprom Neft network by the end of the year.

Fuel for everyone

Two years of sales experience in several regions, numerous research and testing, a well-thought-out promotion program - today the company is fully ready for a large-scale launch of Diesel Opti on the market. And how ready is the Russian market for a new product?

"Diesel Opti"

"Diesel Opti" is manufactured on the basis of fuels from three Gazprom Neft plants - in Moscow, Omsk and Yaroslavl - by automated injection of the additive directly into the fuel stream. Automated input allows you to enter the additive strictly in a given concentration and ensures perfect homogenization - that is, a uniform distribution of the component. In this way, it is guaranteed that in each batch the concentration is the same and exactly corresponds to the norm.

A multifunctional synthetic additive used in fuel, developed specifically for Gazprom Neft by one of the world's leading manufacturers of components to improve the performance and properties of diesel fuel in harsh climatic conditions. The additive gently cleans the engine and improves its performance. Helps maintain original engine performance throughout its life cycle. It has a new, fully synthetic, ashless formula (free of phosphorus and halogens). Gives fuel frost resistance: it prevents the formation of ice microcrystals in it at very low temperatures.

“We don't call Diesel Opti a premium fuel. This is an improved and counterfeit-proof diesel engine, a real workhorse - hardy and reliable, - says Yana Belyakova. “This is the kind of product that consumers need today – high-quality and profitable.” This combination is not often seen. And Gazprom Neft understands this. Starting the development of branded diesel fuel, the company deliberately assumed all investment and operating costs, without including them in the cost of the future product. “We don't want to make money on a high price,” explains Yana Belyakova. - We expect to earn on increasing sales. As it turned out, all customers, both corporate and private, need such fuel.” According to the expert, in the end everyone wins. Customers, along with fuel at a reasonable price, get the opportunity to save money by reducing consumption. In addition, customers can be sure that the car will not stop in winter due to a frozen engine, and the engine will not have to be repaired because of a surrogate filled into the tank.

As market research shows, in the case of diesel fuel, the demands of different consumer segments turn out to be very similar: first of all, reliability and efficiency are valued. This means that Diesel Opti will be chosen as the optimal fuel for life and business.

G-Drive 100. Strong start

In September, Gazpromneft filling stations in Novosibirsk started selling G-Drive gasoline with 100 octane The octane number of motor gasoline is an indicator of its detonation resistance. It characterizes the ability of motor gasolines to resist self-ignition during compression. The high detonation resistance of gasoline ensures its normal combustion in all engine operating modes.. This is a new product for Russian drivers, but it has been successfully sold at gas stations of Gazprom Neft subsidiaries in Europe since 2015.

The transition from the usual 98th gasoline to the 100th became possible thanks to the system modernization of the Gazprom Neft refinery. The introduction of modern complex technological processes has made it possible to produce commercial gasoline with a higher octane number. The first industrial batch of the new high-octane G-Drive 100 motor gasoline was produced by the Omsk Oil Refinery. This autumn, 600 tons of the new product have already been sent to consumers at gas stations in the Novosibirsk region.

Alexander Krylov,
Regional Sales Director, Gazprom Neft:

G-Drive for several years has become the most famous branded fuel in Russia, in the CIS and Eastern European markets. Motorists rightfully associate it with racing, power and innovation. Now, the G-Drive premium fuel range has been expanded with super octane gasoline, which will be available exclusively at stations in our network. With the new "hundredth" the consumer gets the opportunity to get the most out of the engine of his car and experience the true pleasure of driving.

G-Drive 100 is the highest quality product designed for modern engines, which are mostly adapted to run on gasolines with an octane rating of 95 and higher. Automakers rarely limit the upper bar for octane, since it is on gasolines with a higher octane number that the engine runs stably and reliably, increasing power characteristics.

Before entering the Russian market, the characteristics of G-Drive 100 gasoline were confirmed by the leading industry institute VNII NP, and its compliance with European fuel quality standards was confirmed by the largest international laboratory SGS.

Petr Degtyarev,
Director of the Oil Refining Directorate of Gazprom Neft:

Thanks to the timely modernization of the Omsk Refinery, including an automated gasoline blending station, the plant has the ability to flexibly and quickly switch to the production of gasoline grades with a wide variety of recipes. This significantly increases the efficiency of the ONPZ and its competitiveness in the automotive fuel market.

Petrol "Opti". Ural test

Ilya Ivanov,
Head of Marketing Department, Gazprom Neft BLPS:

Yekaterinburg has become the first city in the country where Gazpromneft filling stations now offer gasoline and diesel fuel only with improved characteristics, under their own brands. This is a well-known symbol of power - G-Drive and, in parallel with it, economy class fuel "Opti", sold at no extra charge.

Gazprom Neft is not the only vertically integrated oil company switching to the sale of exclusively branded fuel through its filling stations. One of the world's leading oil companies, Shell, is also taking a dual-brand approach to the fuel mix in many markets, offering V-Power premium fuel and fuel-efficient FuelSave at its filling stations.

Following the branded "Diesel Opti" in Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region, a pilot project is underway to replace conventional AI-92 and AI-95 gasolines with improved Opti 92 and Opti 95 gasolines, which, like Diesel Opti, are sold without additional margins.

A multifunctional additive is responsible for the improved properties of Opti gasolines. With regular refueling, the intake and exhaust valves of the engine are gradually cleaned, optimal injection and combustion parameters are achieved, friction losses are reduced and, as a result, fuel consumption is reduced. A clean engine lasts longer, Opti's improved lubricity reduces wear and tear - it's safe to say that this fuel extends vehicle life.

The effect of using Opti gasoline has been confirmed by independent research centers. During tests in the international SGS laboratory, a 27% reduction in valve deposits was confirmed on a Mercedes engine, and an average reduction in fuel consumption of 4 .75%. Thus, with a gas tank volume of 65 liters, on average, the savings due to the use of Opti gasoline will be 3 liters from each tank, and, accordingly, the mileage on one tank will be greater.

The question arises, then how do gasolines differ: premium G-Drive from improved Opti gasolines? Why pay extra for a G-Drive 95 when you can fill up with Opti 95 gasoline, sold at the price of standard gasoline, without an extra charge, and even with the additional benefit of a few liters of fuel saved per tank? The answer is in the different product formula of premium and economical gasolines. Just like Opti gasolines, G-Drive has cleaning and protective properties, but with a more pronounced effect of increasing power characteristics and improving the car's acceleration dynamics. Therefore, fans of a dynamic driving style will like G-Drive more, and more rational motorists will appreciate the clear benefits of regular use of Opti gasolines.
