On August 1, 2016, the VKontakte social network team completed the main work on the new design, which lasted more than a year and a half, and turned it on to a limited number of users in test mode. Those 10% who agreed to test this update were pleasantly surprised, after which, in a voluntary-compulsory manner, the new design was displayed on all accounts. Many bugs were also fixed, and VKontakte began to work faster. In the new design, VK settings can be opened as follows: the top blue panel in the right corner displays the username and thumbnail of the account, and next to it is a small light arrow. By clicking on it, after the "My Page" and "Edit" sections, you can find the necessary settings. There were no significant changes in them. In the "General" menu, the "Page settings" column has been supplemented with the "Accessibility" item for people who need voice acting for some account controls. VK settings still give access to page security, privacy, alerts, blacklist, application settings, mobile services and payments.

There is no opportunity to switch to the old VKontakte design, which means that such a function is also not provided in the settings. The VK team promises to refine all update errors, if any are found. The new design gave VKontakte a new lease of life and significantly improved its performance.

Therefore, it is recommended here to link the page to the current email address and indicate the true data. There you will have to enter the password again and then confirm the action by clicking on the link in the letter that will be sent to the associated email address.

The last two subsections are setting up notifications via SMS and email. "Change Password". To change the password, you must enter in the first field the password by which you enter your VKontakte page. Enter the new password in the next two fields (same password in both fields). The password must not match any of the previous passwords. After filling in all the fields, click the "Change password" button.

"E-mail address". In this section, as the name already implies, you can add your email address for various mailing lists, messages, alerts, notices, and the like. So that the social network VKontakte reminds of itself everywhere and everywhere. Enter your email address and click the "Save Address" button.

In the second line - the email address of your page, which can be changed.
