The journey of a thousand years ahead begins, but this time you should not expect spaceships from it, plowing the expanses of the galaxy. In Horizon: Zero Dawn, the future of humanity looks sad: people are thrown back almost into the Bronze Age, and huge machines rule the world undividedly.

What happened? The answer to this question will try to give Aloy, an exiled hunter and part-time main character of Horizon: Zero Dawn. Together with her, we will explore the impressive game world and try to figure out what is happening.

True, first you need to learn something important about the gameplay mechanics of the game - robots are dangerous, the slightest mistake can cost Aloy her life.

The higher the level of Aloy, the more skills she can learn and the more effective she is in fighting robots. With each new level, our heroine receives one skill point and ten additional health units, Aloy earns experience both for completing tasks and for hunting robots.

To speed up pumping, you should carefully look around. Don't ignore side quests, long necks, bandit camps, and infested areas - visiting all of these places will provide Aloy with additional experience, although it can be quite dangerous.

Horizon: Zero Dawn - What you need to know about robot battles

Robots are huge and very dangerous creatures, a successful strike can easily deprive Aloy of half of her health. Conclusion - it is worth preparing for battles in advance.

Start with a scan. Thanks to her sensor, Aloy is able to determine the weak points of robots. You only need to scan each type of robot once, after which information about the machine will appear in the game database. Believe me, it's worth spending some time reading - this knowledge will greatly simplify your life.

Remember to choose the right weapon - different types of weapons deal different types of damage. Again, it's worth spending some time researching the inventory and weapon stats. For example, armor-damaging arrows are great for fighting large vehicles - they are able to demolish pieces of armor in one hit. You will find a list of the best weapons in the game.

After the battle, these parts should be picked up, they will still be useful to you.

Do not forget to install modifications on weapons and equipment. They are able to add some buffs to Aloy or equip weapons with new types of attacks - for example, increasing armor penetration or adding some kind of freeze effect.

Mods, like all equipment, should be checked from time to time for relevance. Are you dying too often? Take a look at your inventory and skills section - maybe it's time for you to choose a couple of new abilities and dress up. Sometimes it is worth going to the merchants - suddenly something new has appeared?

If the task is not completed in any way or the robot is not killed in any way, then you should pay attention to the surroundings. Go through the side quests, upgrade Aloy and come back again.

Horizon: Zero Dawn - dealing with inventory, resources and equipment

As with many open-world RPGs, Aloy now and then fills the inventory to capacity with items of varying degrees of usefulness. In Horizon: Zero Dawn, this can be robot parts, equipment, ammunition and a variety of resources - for example, one of the plants, balsam, is useful for restoring health. Did you see four red flowers? Take it without hesitation.

You have probably noticed that items in the inventory can be highlighted in different colors. These colors indicate the quality of the items, there are four colors in total: white (common items), green (uncommon items), blue (rare items), and purple (very rare items).

It is best to start by increasing the size of the inventory - at first it is very small, you have to carefully choose what to take with you. The first time in Horizon: Zero Dawn is worth spending on hunting: Aloy uses the extracted skin and bones to expand his backpack. In addition, they are useful for organizing fast travel.

Fast travel in Horizon: Zero Dawn isn't easy. First you need to find a campfire, then you need to create a special fast travel kit: it costs 15 units of timber, 1 unit of fatty meat and 1 unit of bony meat. Over time, the process can be simplified - merchants will have gold fast travel kits. 10 units of fatty meat, one fox skin, 50 metal fragments - and you can travel as much as you like.

From time to time it is worth visiting merchants just to rid your inventory of excess garbage. It is worth noting that you will get the best equipment when you collect five fuel cells, but the best weapons are bought from merchants or obtained by completing the hunting quest chain.

The main thing is not to get involved in the sale. Before you give all the extracted resources to the merchant, make sure that you cannot collect anything useful from them. This is especially true for ammunition - try not to sell or throw away resources that go into the production of ammunition.

Today we will talk about all types of robots, their habits, vulnerabilities and tactics of battles with them.

But first, I want to touch on a few important elements of the gameplay that can greatly simplify the battle with enemies. Yes, it’s not so difficult to figure them out on your own, but judging by the numerous questions from the Internet, not everyone can do this, or rather, not only everyone ... well, you understand.

Why do we need traps

Having learned how to correctly set traps, you can inflict serious damage on enemies without any problems, just luring them to devices installed in the right places. All traps, like ranged weapons, have their own elemental effects: explosive, fire, and electrical.

Why do you need a rope launcher

The Rope Launcher is a great choice for those situations when an attack by a beast is imminent, but hitting a fast-moving target with a bow is quite difficult. In this regard, kites, hunters, petrels and other enemies, on which it is difficult to fix the sight due to their agility, cause serious inconvenience. But it is enough to get a rope launcher from the inventory, nail the car to the ground with cables, and you can safely shoot the lassoed enemy with the most effective ammunition.

How to find weaknesses in robots

The main character of the game Horizon Zero Dawn has a visor in her arsenal, with which you can scan the area, find valuable items, read the encrypted notes of an ancient civilization, and so on. Among other things, the visor allows you to scan enemies and find weaknesses in their design. All you need to do is get close to the enemy, point the camera at him and press R3. The visor will take a few seconds to determine the target's vulnerabilities, after which it will indicate in yellow the places that need to be shot.

Also, after the scan occurs, you should pay attention to other information that will appear on the screen, because the visor can tell you which of the elements the machine is vulnerable to the effects of. When you realize that, for example, the target in front of you cannot stand fire, pick up fire ammunition and mercilessly punish the “piece of iron”.

And now about what weaknesses each of the machines presented in the game has:

Watcher Vulnerabilities

The weakest representative of the robotic fauna. It can only cause problems in the early stages of the game. His role in the world of Horizon is to watch and guard. As a rule, watchers live next to a herd of other robots in order to warn everyone about the danger when they see the enemy.

Vulnerability: the knights have one single eye, which is precisely their “Achilles heel”. It is enough just to drive a couple of arrows into the luminous element and the enemy is finished. In addition, the knight is easily killed with an ordinary spear in close combat.

Runner Vulnerabilities

Another car that can not boast of serious performance. There is exactly one problem in the battle with the runner - these creatures do not walk alone, they are pack machines that react in unison to the enemy and together try to trample the enemy. The value of runners lies in the fact that, upon obtaining the appropriate equipment, you can easily lure one of the individuals to your side and later use it as a horse for more convenient movement across unexplored lands.

Vulnerability: To kill a runner, you need to aim at the fireflame canister in the back of the hull. It is enough to shoot down these cylinders, after which, it remains to shoot one or two arrows at her head.

How to kill a ruminant

Another animal that looks quite dangerous on the outside, but in reality, ruminants are not so scary. Curiously, in a flock, these robots pose little to no danger to you. A pack of ruminants would rather run away than attack the enemy. Another thing is loners. A lonely wandering ruminant will surely want to destroy the enemy at all costs.

Vulnerability: On the back of the body of this machine there are four canisters of firefire, which are easily knocked down by ordinary arrows, which causes serious damage to the ruminant. Horns are also a weak point of this individual, they can also be shot down with arrows.

Carrion Vulnerabilities

As the name suggests, these machines collect useful parts from the remains of the deceased “piece of iron”. They have in their arsenal a module for detecting a hidden enemy, so approaching them close is with extreme caution.

Vulnerability: To destroy the machine, it is worth knocking down the radar on the back and the reactor on the back of the carrion's body. If there is only one individual, then melee combat can be practiced on it. In this case, it is worth using the Dark Souls tactics: we beat until the car is ready to attack, dodge the blow and beat again.

Redeye Watcher Vulnerabilities

This is just a variation of the good old knight with improved armor. It should be noted that this model also has improved armor around the eye, so when encountering this machine, it is worthwhile to carefully target the vulnerability.

Archer Vulnerabilities

Also a variation, but already a runner. A distinctive feature of this model are the horns with which the robot can strike.

Vulnerability: the horns are also the weak point of the arcuate. By shooting off the horns, you will not only damage the car, but also deprive it of the ability to ram. Also vulnerable to this model are containers with firefire on the back of the body.

Weaknesses of the spear

Spearhorns look like ruminants, but instead of deer antlers, they have drill spears on their heads. Spearhorns behave similarly to ruminants, so there is no need to reinvent the wheel in hunting these animals.
Vulnerability: As well as the horns of the ruminant, the weak point of the spearhorn is the horn itself (what a surprise). In addition, containers are located on the back of their bodies, but not with fire, but with refrigerant.

Strider Weaknesses

A very nasty enemy. First of all, it causes problems with its persistence, because, having noticed you, it will not only follow your heels for a long time, but can also call for reinforcements from several similar individuals. However, in a fight, the long-legged one is able to ruffle the nerves. It throws the player away with a stream of air and fire from the wings, rams and at the same time causes quite significant damage.

Vulnerability: on the back of the Strider there are containers vulnerable to hit by arrows, knocking down such a container will deprive the robot of fire attacks. To prevent the Strider from calling for help, it is better to shoot a couple of antennas from its head. You should also break through the shields on his chest to open yourself up to the most important weak point.

Bison Vulnerabilities

The bison looks big and scary, but in reality it can be sent to a landfill without much difficulty. The main thing is to constantly keep at a significant distance, trying not to fall under his ramming and other melee attacks.

Vulnerability: On the head of a buffalo there are rather large horns that just ask to be shot at. Well, how can you say no... Having lost the horns, the bison will stop using the battering ram, and its total damage will become somewhat lower. On the back of this car you can see antennas and containers, which are also not a sin to bring down. The main vulnerability of the bison can be considered a large container on the belly, inside of which there is a fire.

Sawtooth Vulnerabilities

A large, fast and rather strong enemy, which at first is better to bypass. The most disgusting thing about the battle with the sawtooth is that there is very little time between his attacks to aim and shoot. A rope launcher and traps will come to the rescue here.

Vulnerability: first of all, it is better to immobilize the enemy with a rope launcher, and only after that try to shoot weak structural elements. These elements include antennas, a yellow device in the back, and a container on the stomach.

Scarab Vulnerabilities

A rather slow, simple, but at the same time annoying enemy. The scarab has a shield and an energy weapon in its arsenal. Luckily, scarabs don't jump or run like crazy, so it's pretty easy to punish them.

Vulnerability: The left claw of the robot is responsible for the shield, which recharges from time to time. At this moment, you need to shoot off the right claw and transfer your sight to the left one, in which the energy weapon is located. If, after shooting the claws, the car does not fall apart, then at least it will become practically harmless. It remains to shoot a couple of times in any place on her body.

Weaknesses of the fireskin

Even in the late stages of the game, an encounter with a fireskin can be fatal for the heroine of the game, so you should approach the battle with this creature with extreme caution. As you might guess, the fireskin uses fire to attack. However, the waterskin does not disdain melee attacks, so do not stand in his way and get confused under his paws.

Vulnerability: on the back of the fireskin there is a rather large tank with a fireflame, a container with the same fireflame is located on the neck of the machine. It is at these points that the power of all your attacks should be directed. It is advisable to use projectiles with a freezing effect in battle. If, after the destruction of the containers, the waterskin can still survive, then it is worth moving the sight to the belly of the robot, because somewhere there is a small cylinder.

Freezer waterskin vulnerabilities

All the key features of the fireskin are also characteristic of the freezer, except that instead of fire, this machine uses a refrigerant.
Vulnerability: The freezer skin's weak points are identical to its fire counterpart, only instead of cold, this machine is vulnerable to fire.

Vulnerabilities

Another variation of riding robots. For the lentorog, everything is true that is characteristic of the arcuate.

Vulnerability: we shoot at the cylinders in the back of the car and the horns.

Seeker Vulnerabilities

A machine that can take one position for a long time to track down the victim. The hunters place signal traps on the location, and they themselves climb rocks or other hills in order to observe from a height the territory where the victim may appear. The problem is that it's not so easy to spot the hunter, because these machines have a cloaking system. In addition, these creatures can emit a summoning roar, which attracts other machines.

Vulnerability: On the back of the Seeker's body is a pair of antennas and a protruding yellow device. A similar device for hunting is located near the head of the car. We shoot down antennas - we deprive the opportunity to call for help, we shoot down yellow devices - we turn off camouflage and the trap spread system.

Vulnerabilities of the kite

These animals rarely fly alone, so when you see at least one kite in the sky, you should remember that somewhere nearby there are at least a couple of his friends. Attacking in a group, kites can cause a lot of problems, because they are not so easy to hit, and they themselves can fly an impressive distance, use rockets and ice attacks. In a word, it’s worth getting involved in battle with them only with decent weapons and a decent supply of trash for making ammunition.

Vulnerability: The “Achilles heel” of the kite is the compartment on the chest, which is closed by armor by default. We knock down the armor, open access to the reactor, after which we shoot with all our urine into the luminous spot on the chest. It is best to first lasso the kite with a rope thrower.

Invader Vulnerabilities

A very strong and agile representative of the mechanized fauna. His attacks will make you remember the main mechanics of combat in Dark Souls once again.

Vulnerability: On either side of the invader's head are cannons that are vulnerable to attacks from your weapons. The first thing to do is to shoot them. If desired, the machine can be overheated with fire projectiles and at the moment when it opens the cooling compartments, inflict crushing damage on vulnerabilities.

How to kill a villain

The Rogue is just a more serious version of the Sawtooth, so if you have already defeated the latter, then there will be no problems with the Rogue.

Vulnerability: the set of weaknesses of the villain is almost identical to the sawtooth, except that in the arsenal of this machine there is a cannon that can be easily shot down and later used as a heavy weapon. In this case, it will be even easier to defeat the villain.

Clicktooth Vulnerabilities

Snaptooths live near water bodies. It is often difficult to spot this machine without a scanner, as the Clicktooths are very effective at camouflaging themselves by diving underwater.

Vulnerability: On the body of a snaptooth, you can see canisters with firefire, as well as a lot of yellow elements. The latter are both on the body of the robot and on its tail. It is necessary to aim precisely at these parts of the structure.

Rockbiter Vulnerabilities

Rockbiters are very large creatures, but this does not prevent them from making passages underground and thus getting close to the victim.

Vulnerability: in a fight with a rockbiter, it is highly recommended not to stand in one place, because the robot will appear at your feet and cause heavy damage. Hiding somewhere on stones or rocks is also not an option, because in their arsenal, stone-biters have small arms, which, when hit, not only cause damage, but also discard. The only correct decision in the battle with this creature is to run, waiting for the stonebiter to crawl out of the ground to the surface, and then shoot at the green container on the belly of the beast with explosive shells.

Hippo Vulnerabilities

Quite a large and not the most pleasant enemy. Outwardly, the hippopotamus resembles a bison, only there are no horns on its head, which, however, does not prevent it from famously knocking down the heroine's health bar.

Vulnerability: First of all, you need to shoot at the tank on the belly of the behemoth, however, you can cause serious damage by destroying the refrigerant tanks on the back of the car and the yellow devices on both sides of the beast's body.

Gromozev vulnerabilities

This comrade has a really impressive size, and his attacks can send even experienced players to the next world. It is worth going into battle with him only if you have good equipment. If other robots roam next to this giant, then the first step is to stealthily eliminate them, because otherwise all this trifle will get under your feet and complicate your life in every possible way.

Vulnerability: there are cannons on both sides of the Gromozev's body, which at first it is worth shooting down. This is important because one of these guns is a disk launcher that can be used as a heavy weapon. Taking the disk launcher in hand, we shoot while there are shells at the cannons on the sides of the Gromozev's muzzle and on the back, at the cylinders on the back, at the tail and at the antennas.

How to kill a petrel

Another enemy, which is better to bypass once again. The problem here is not only that it is quite difficult to defeat him, but also that it is difficult to escape from the petrel. Seeing the heroine, the petrel follows her through the air, while periodically releasing electric projectiles, which in most cases overtake the victim and cause serious damage.

Vulnerability: to make it easier for yourself, it's better to knock off the nozzles on the wings of the robot. In this case, the machine will not be able to fly and the chances of a successful outcome of the battle will increase. Next, it is worth destroying the containers in the area of \u200b\u200bthe petrel's tail, as well as knocking down the protection from the bird's chest. When the protection is removed and a vulnerability opens up, you need to direct all your strength, the power of arrows, to this particular element. In this case, it will turn out to cause the most serious damage to the car.

How to kill a fighter

The fighter does not look like an animal at all. It's more like a tank on legs. The battle with him is not so much difficult as long, because the fighter has a fairly serious damage resistance.

Vulnerability: its arsenal is rich, so everything that this tank shoots from is worth destroying. Don't miss an opportunity to deal damage to Molten Elements when the Fighter cools down from overheating. Otherwise, circle around him and shoot at the cannons.

How to kill long neck

If you suddenly decide to voluntarily go and kill these stately and graceful creatures, then we have two news for you:
1. you are a heartless bastard
2. you can’t kill a long neck
These machines are invulnerable, but they can be scanned, for this you need to jump on the neck and get on it to the highest point. Scanning will reveal part of the map.

Vulnerabilities of infected machines

Absolutely any car can be infected, so the approach to each of the enemies must be chosen based on its breed. It is important to remember that the infected can transfer the detrimental effect to the heroine of the game, though not forever. For a while, the effect of the infection will stick to Aloy and will gradually take away part of her health.

Horizon: Zero Dawn isn't just about breathtaking landscapes - it has a lot of different mechanics and secrets that newbies might not find easy to figure out on their own. But with our guide, you will not have any problems and you will quickly adapt to life on the Earth of the distant future.

How to upgrade

Three branches of development are available to the heroine Aloy: Hunter, Gatherer and Warrior, but there are not many skills in them - by the end of the game it is quite possible to get everything at all. At the same time, they mainly represent passive bonuses: sneaking quieter, collecting more loot, slowing down time when aiming.

The maximum level in the game is limited to 50, and you have several ways to get to it. You can hunt, you can clear bandit camps, complete side missions, and complete Hunting Challenges. Not counting the completion of the story missions, of course. For the latter, they give the most experience, but they also “pay” quite well for the bandit camps and cleaning the Cauldrons.

Fighting people in the game is not as fun as fighting machines, but you don't really risk anything. It is much more difficult to deal with boilers, but there is more benefit from them - a captured boiler gives you access to reprogramming new types of machines, and this will never be superfluous.

Where to begin? Below is a list of the most useful skills to acquire as early as possible.

  • Silent Attack- This is the most important skill available to you at the beginning of the game, because it allows you to silently eliminate enemies from an ambush. Aloy most often cannot stand up to machines on equal terms, so stealth and the element of surprise are her (and your) main weapon.
  • Concentration- This skill makes archery much easier by briefly slowing down time when aiming. Without it, it will be very difficult for you to quickly fire arrows at the vulnerable points of mechanical monsters during the battle - and this is often necessary for victory.
  • Bait- An extremely useful skill for any style of play. Aloy baits one nearby enemy he looks at. This makes it much easier to deal with large clusters of enemies, especially when combined with "silent attack".

Once you've mastered the bare minimum, you can develop in whatever direction you prefer, but these are the skills to consider as the most useful:

  • Collector
  • Junkman
  • Disarming traps
  • Mechanic

But these abilities are not worth spending priceless skill points at all:

  • Hunter reflexes- you will not roll up and shoot in a jump so often, believe me
  • A sense of balance - in 100% of cases it is much easier and more effective to first reach the end of the rope, and then shoot.
  • hit back- You deal more damage with heavy melee attacks when your health is low. Only now, if you have little health left, it’s better to just run, and not break into battle.
  • Car Call+- in theory, it is very convenient to summon a mount at any time, anywhere like Roach in The Witcher 3, but in Horizon they are not so in demand.
  • Almost all abilities with "Attack" in the name- all these strikes "from above", "from below" and "on the leader" have an extremely limited use in real gameplay, so if you do not intend to concentrate on close combat, then you can safely go past.

How to get the best armor

In Horizon: Zero Dawn, Aloy can obtain many different sets of armor, but none of them compares to the Shield-Weaver armor - the high-tech legacy of the Forerunners. Now we will explain how to get to it.

The Shield Weaver armor differs from all the others in that it neutralizes all types of damage and does not have a narrow specialization. However, the force fields she creates last only a few seconds - so even with her, Aloy will not turn into an absolute terminator.

The armor is hidden in the bunker almost at the very beginning of the game - you can see where exactly on the Horizon interactive world map. After going down into it, you will receive a quest called "Ancient Arsenal", according to which, in order to access inside, you need to collect five fuel cells.

IMPORTANT: It is better to pick up the first cell at the very beginning, even before entering the open world. After passing the Initiation, Aloy descends into the Womb of the Mother, where next to the closed red door you need to climb into the ventilation shaft on the left. Doing it right away is better in order not to wait with getting the armor almost until the very end, when you will be allowed into the sanctuary again (after the Heart of Nora mission).

The remaining four are scattered throughout the map, and you will have to run after them.

The second element is hidden in a bunker that Aloy is already familiar with - it was in it that she found the Visor as a little girl. Once inside, look for a closed door on the first level (on the right). After opening it with a spear, go up the stairs, then to the right - the fuel cell lies on the table behind the stalactites.

Now you have two batteries - enough to power the bunker door, but take your time. The armor needs to be freed from the mounts, and for this you need three more remaining cells.

Don't look at the red circle, you need the ruins in the center of the picture.

The third battery can be found in the Forerunner ruins in the northwest of the map. The quest "Master's Limit" will take you there.

Your goal is hidden on the 12th floor of the ruins - for this you will have to climb to the very top, and then, at the risk of your life, rise even higher - there, in an open area, there is a battery.

The penultimate fuel element is hidden in the northeast, in a bunker relatively close to the Banuk settlement. You will only get there through the story, so take your time.

After going down to the third level, restore the power supply to the door. To do this, go down to the lowest level, there you will find two blocks of four regulators, in which you need to rotate the handles. The left block is opened with the combination "up-right-left-down", and the second - "up-up-down-down". There is another block one level higher, we activate it with the “up-down-left-right” combination.

After that, the door will open, and you can go to the treasured battery.

For the fifth cell, you will have to climb into the GAYA-Prime cauldron. On the third level, do not rush to descend into the abyss along the rope - first inspect the cave on the left. In the farthest corner of the cave, the last fuel cell will be waiting on a rack. It's time to open the bunker!

To open the armory, arrange the batteries in their places, and then turn the controls until you get the combination of "up-right-down-left-up".

The combination for armor-binding mounts is "right-left-up-right-left". Congratulations, now Aloy is amazing and almost invulnerable.

How to knock out platinum

There are 56 trophies in the game: 48 bronze, 5 silver, 2 gold and, in fact, platinum. There are no particularly complex and tricky ones among them, but in some places you can get confused.

Stealth killed 10 machines- it's simple, just learn the skill "Stealth kill".

Kill 3 enemies with 3 Strikes From Above- everything is in the name, it is enough to learn the skill "Murder from above" and put it into action 3 times.

Tore off 10 components- you need to knock down 10 components from cars, not necessarily from the same one, so that the trophy will open by itself.

Kill 10 Vulnerable machine kills- you need to either freeze enemies vulnerable to cold and finish them off, or set fire to those vulnerable to the enemy - and also finish them off. Towards the end of the game, there will be an episode in which the trophy will open by itself.

Tore off 5 heavy weapons from vehicles- here you need a high-precision bow - you can use special arrows with it, just knocking down components from enemies. Another good weapon is the Fender, but it's harder to get. The goal is better to choose Gromozev - he has a huge disk launcher on his back, do not overlook it.

Take over control of 7 types of machines (7 types of machine overridden)- you just need to capture the "Boilers" and hack the cars.

Kill 30 human enemies with headshots (Headshot 30 human enemies)- everything is clear from the name.

Downed 23 Grazer dummies- You need to find all 23 stuffed ruminants in the lands of Nora.

First Modification- do not miss.

Scan all types of machines (All machines catalogued)- the essence is clear from the name. How to find all-all cars - see.

All Acquisition machines killed- here: All Recon machines killed, All Combat machines killed, All Transport machines killed - all this can be opened during the trophy "Scan all types of machines.

Reach level 10-25-40-50 (Reached level 10-25-40-50)- Only 4 trophies. You just need to swing, hunt and complete side quests. On the main quests, you can only level up to level 30.

Master all available skills (All Skills learned)- the advice is the same as for the previous trophy. For some tests and quests, they give additional skill points.

Next come the trophies associated with finding collectibles and completing secondary activities. An additional trophy is associated with each in the spirit of "find the first metal flower" or "clear the first bandit camp" - we will not list them.

Find all vantage points (All Vantages found)- location of all points.

Find All Metal Flowers found- arrangement of all flowers.

Find All Banuk Figures found- the location of all the figures.

Find all ancient vessels (All Ancient Vessels found)- the location of all vessels.

Take Control of All Tallnecks Overridden- where to look for long necks.

Cleared all the Bandit Camps And Clear all Corrupted Zones cleared– all zones and camps are initially marked on the map.

Take control of all cores (All Cores Overridden)- you need to capture all the boilers, they are initially marked on the map.

All suns in all grounds (All Suns at all Grounds) And Blazing Suns at all Grounds- you need to perfectly complete the tests in all areas. If you get stuck somewhere - here

Aid the defectors- obtained during the completion of Vanasha's side quest, which will "fall" into your diary according to the plot.

Enlist the support of all allies (All allies joined)- to put it simply - complete all the side quests before the final battle. For more details, here is the video.

And finally, there are more than a dozen story trophies in the game that are impossible to miss (one of them is gold), we did not list them.

Want to hunt dinosaur robots like a post-apocalyptic pro?

Open world and dinosaur robot hunting, what more could you ask for from ? The PS4-exclusive game engulfed us for the duration of the review - especially on PS4 Pro, where 4K HDR visuals make Zero Dawn the most beautiful game of all time.

But these huge metal beasts are not ready to dutifully endure the beating. Want to learn how to deal with a pack of Rex robots before stepping into the world of Horizon: Zero Dawn? Read our tips and tricks on how to survive in the world of robots on PlayStation.

Never stop collecting grass

Referring to gathering herbs, console game old-timers reminisce about old Resident Evil, Horizon uses a healing system that requires either health potions (which are quite expensive and only found at merchants or picked up from corpses) or freely available herbs that grow throughout Horizon's open world. .

The green bar under your health, located in the upper left corner of the screen, is your medical bag, which can be used by pressing up on the D-pad (it will replenish your health until it is completely restored or the drugs run out). This bar can be filled three times (green crosses below the bar indicate a supply), so be sure to collect fresh herbs while traveling (most of them are red, although they can be white in cold regions).

Use tall grass to hide from enemies

Horizon's stealth mechanics are very similar to what you've seen in recent Far Cry games - where your opponents can only follow you with line of sight. With that in mind, use tall grass (usually red or light-tipped) to get close to wild robots or human opponents.

Keep in mind that Horizon's robotic monsters are also very sensitive to sounds, so don't forget to crouch. This will hide you in the grass and drown out the sound of your footsteps. Now you can plan and start hunting your chosen target without being seen (long grass is also great for sneaking past dangerous foes you're not ready to face).

Level up: The right skills in the first couple

Like most action-packed RPGs, Horizon uses a skill tree that unlocks special moves and actions that can make the difference between a successful hunt and death. These skills are divided into three types: Hunter / Prowler(Hunting), Warrior / Brave(Combat) and Gatherer / Forager(Gathering resources and Crafting).

In the Rogue section, invest in Silent Attack / Silent Strike(stealth, sneak attack), Low Silhouette / low profile(limits your visibility to the enemy) and Dodge Mastery / Dodge Prowess(adds two new rolls). In the "Getter" section, select the Gatherer / Gatherer(increases the number of herbs collected) and Healer / Healer(accelerates healing). And finally, in the "Warrior" section, select Concentration / concentration(slows down time by pressing R3) and Accuracy / precision(increases the chance of a critical hit).

Use focus before attacking a new robot

The device on Aloy's head is not only part of the story, it's also an incredibly useful tool in the game. In addition to giving you the ability to follow a path, Focus can also be used to study the enemy and identify their weak points that are susceptible to critical hits (these will be highlighted in yellow when you activate Focus on L3).

You move much slower and can't aim in Focus mode, so if you spot a new, intimidating enemy, just hide in the nearest tall grass and use Focus to study it. Focus also allows you to see enemies through obstacles and can be used to highlight patrol routes, an important part of any attempt to clear a bandit camp.

Buy different types of arrows from vendors to unlock them

And while some arrows can only be used with certain bows - the Precision Bow uses the same name arrows, for example - the standard Hunting Bow (and its modifications) can shoot three different types of arrows. You can shoot and craft standard arrows from the start, they deal the most damage, but you will need to buy fire arrows and hard-tipped arrows from vendors to be able to craft them yourself or choose from the radial menu.

Hold R1 to open it and you'll see three types of arrows on the far left of the wheel - just select the ones you want by holding X and you can craft up to 10 arrows in a matter of seconds. As an additional recommendation, gather Woodgrass in the first few hours (you can carry as much as you need as wood only takes up one slot in your inventory) - you will need it.

Learn robot weaknesses and then use fire, ice and traps/ammo

Every robotic monster that roams the wilds of Horizon's open world usually has a specific strength and a certain weakness (for example, the Snaptooth draws strength from ice, so it can be significantly weakened by fire). Always use your Focus to find out what to use against a robot before engaging it (especially if it's a new robot).

If the enemy is weak to some element, a circle will start to fill up above him - once it is full, he will start dealing damage until the counter runs out. This will usually slow down or immobilize the enemy, so use your precious time to destroy the robot's armor plates and weapons.

Use hard-tipped arrows for critical hits

Another important tip is to use hard-pointed arrows to maximize damage on vulnerable (yellow) points. Hitting weak zones deals critical damage to the monster (you will understand because the damaged component will hiss and turn blue).

Use the Concentration skill (press R3 while aiming) to slow down time and take an aimed shot. This tactic is vital for dealing with superior opponents like Thunderjaw, Snaptooth and Thunderbird. Another use for hard-tipped arrows is to destroy weapons before taking on armor - when the robot is unarmed, you have fewer threats to dodge. You can pick up some weapons and use them!

Fast travel with the hidden Golden Fast Travel Pack

The world of Horizon is full of bonfires that allow you to save your game progress in seconds. These same fires also serve as cozy resting places and can be used as travel points. The fact is that fast travel is not free, you will need a Fast Travel Pack, a traveler's backpack.

But we want to recommend resorting to fast travel only when it is most necessary - you will level much faster by exploring the territory on your own, participating in open battles and hunting in between. However, if you really want to fast travel, you can find the Traveler's Golden Backpack from a few merchants with a crosshair symbol (we found one of them behind Meridian Long Bridge).

Don't rely on the bow alone in combat

One of the main games that Horizon has taken from the combat system is The Witcher 3, so you have to play as if you are controlling the White Wolf, you have to use more than one weapon with each dinosaur robot. Most of the weapons you will find at merchants with a crosshair symbol above their head.

For example, if you are fighting Gromozev, you will need coils of rope, which are attached to the ground and will help to immobilize him (which will allow you to shoot a dinosaur with your bow). Also, try using your sling to launch powerful fire damage bombs. Experimentation is the key to winning this game, feel free to return to the campfire.

Cauldrons, Infested Zones and Big Dinosaurs: Leveling

When it comes to any game with an experience system (in other words, every game), it's great to know how to speed up the process of gaining experience in order to build up health and gain skill points. For us, the consistent exploration and robot fights that happen along the way (especially the biggest ones) are a surefire way to rack up XP.

Clearing Infested Zones (marked with an "X" on the map) and Cauldrons (dungeons in Horizon) also holds a lot of experience. If you want to find them, you can track the congested signal with Focus, which will mark them on the map.
