What type of art motivates a person to action. "The influence of fine arts on the human psyche". Music is a separate art form

23Feb

Art is an integral part of our culture. Thanks to music, painting and literature, we not only learn something new, getting emotional pleasure, but also begin to improve, developing our inner spiritual world. Everyone has long known what art is capable of - it can work wonders! And there is plenty of evidence for this.

Since ancient times, people have known that art can be used for medicinal purposes. Today, music is widely used in medicine in the treatment of psychological diseases. She is able to awaken new feelings in a person and pacify him.

Music can be used not only in healing, but also in education. There are many compositions, listening to which a person develops the ability to study such exact sciences as: mathematics, physics, foreign languages, etc. Classical music can open a feeling of calmness and relaxation in a person. In this state, the study of something new, the perception and memorization of information is much better.

However, music is only part of the art. The world of colors also plays a big role in our life. We can see it on Art of Russia http://artofrussia.ru/, where it is perfectly shown how fine art can have a good effect on a person. It helps to show new emotions, encourages creativity, calms the nervous system, and is also capable of charging with new vital energy.

In medical practice, fine arts are widely used for medicinal purposes. Special events are being created where people can throw out their emotions and inner feelings in creativity.

Regardless of whether we listen to excellent music, look at an elegant picture, or admire another work of art - in any case, we can find in it what we and our soul will need in moments of joy or adversity.

In modern society, there has been a clear trend towards the development of logic. Dry logical thinking is necessary for mastering information, moving up the career ladder, and obtaining a high social status. Often, even in communication with others, people build a dialogue based on rational calculation, and this absolutely does not contribute to the emergence of sincere relationships.

Against this background, the role of feelings and emotions is greatly underestimated. Many do not even think about the fact that the emotional sphere also needs development. As a result, the personality is disharmonic. She stands firmly on her feet, but inside she feels emptiness, she does everything right, but without a soul.

It is precisely because people pay so little attention to their emotions that there are a huge number of passers-by on the street with “empty eyes” and sad faces. We carefully "crush" our own experiences, trying to be reasonable, to respond adequately. If you do this all the time, it will the accumulation of a load of unreacted experiences. They do not go anywhere, but find a way out through illness (mainly psychosomatic), constant dissatisfaction, irritability and emptiness. Art will help to correct such a deplorable situation.

The healing power of art

Art- the sphere of human life, which touches the "strings of the soul". Drawing, playing music, doing modeling, writing poetry and prose, creating applications and needlework, a person gives an outlet to accumulated experiences, fears, mental stress. Scientists have proven that people who systematically engage in creativity are more stress-resistant, they better assimilate new information, have more flexible thinking, adapt faster to new circumstances, find optimal solutions in non-standard situations and notice beauty in everyday situations, everyday things. The passive perception of works of art has a similar effect: listening to your favorite music, watching movies, reading books, perceiving pictures.

The results of the experiments showed that neurogenesis(formation of new neurons) occurs even in adulthood. Its intensity directly depends on the lifestyle. The education system, the work environment is almost entirely aimed at the development of the left hemisphere of the brain, so you need to independently develop the right hemisphere, which is responsible for the emotional sphere. For this, it is important to be creative. Many people say that they can't draw, so there's no point in wasting time on it. But the main thing is not the perfect result, but the process of creation itself. Therefore, you should not limit yourself, you need to find an interesting field of activity and create, “pouring out” the accumulated baggage of emotions into creativity.

Effective art methods to quickly get rid of negative experiences:

  1. "Drawing".

Take pencils (pens or felt-tip pens are not suitable for this purpose). Remove all dark shades from the set. Then take an A5 sheet of paper and start filling the white space with bright colors. This will allow you to distract from negative thoughts and relax a little.

  1. State harmonization.

To harmonize the work of the right and left hemispheres (emotions and logic), take a pencil or pen in two hands and start drawing the same symbols at the same time. It can be geometric shapes, ornaments, simple drawings. At first it will be difficult to do, but after a few attempts the result will improve. Draw 5-7 characters like this. This will allow you to stabilize the state and look at the problem situation from a new angle.

No one will argue with the fact that art plays a cognitive, educational, communicative role in the formation of a person. Since ancient times, art has helped a person to realize and transform reality, presenting it in images and thereby linking it into a single whole. At the same time, a person developed abstract and figurative thinking - fantasy developed. The Soviet philosopher E. Ilyenkov said: “Taken in itself, fantasy, or the power of imagination, is not only among the most precious, but also among the universal, universal abilities that distinguish a person from an animal. Without it, one cannot take a single step, not only in art, unless, of course, it is a step on the spot. Without the power of imagination it would be impossible even to recognize an old friend if he suddenly grew a beard, it would be impossible even to cross the street through the stream of cars. Humanity, devoid of imagination, would never launch rockets into space.

It is impossible not to take into account the fact that art from an early age takes a direct part in the formation of consciousness in a child (and throughout life too). Music, literature, theater, visual arts - all of them bring up sensuality and morality in a person. Such qualities as friendship, conscience, patriotism, love, justice, etc. develop through art. Moreover, thinking itself would be impossible without the development of sensory perception: “The ability to think logically, that is, to operate with concepts, theoretical definitions in strict accordance with the norms of logic, is worth absolutely nothing if it is not combined with an equally developed ability to see, sensually contemplate perceive the world around.

Of course, with all this, art often performed the function of entertainment. And it would seem that if from time immemorial art has been used both for enlightenment and for distraction, then even now there is no cause for concern. Today, good books, films, music still remain and are being created, upon acquaintance with which a person acquires the opportunity to join all the experience accumulated by mankind, thereby developing his own abilities. Only now, if we take not individual works of art, but the trend of development (or degradation?) of contemporary art, then it deviates more and more noticeably towards the renunciation of all previous developments of mankind, turning art into an entertainment industry and distracting a person from the problems of developing his creative abilities.

Perhaps everyone, at least once entering the Museum of Modern Art, thought that, as a child, he drew better. The famous artist D. Pollock splashed and poured paint on fiberboard, considering the spontaneous creative process to be more important than the result. These blots, worth $140 million, are today one of the most expensive paintings in the world. The postmodern writer V. Pelevin spoke about the famous “Black Square” in one of his books: “Malevich, although he called himself a Suprematist, was true to the truth of life - there is most often no light in the Russian sky. And the soul has no choice but to produce invisible stars from itself - this is the meaning of the canvas. Such non-objective, depicting pictures make even the personality of the author meaningless, they say: "everyone will see something of his own."

The Soviet philosopher, who devoted a lot of time to studying the question of the influence of art on a person, M. Lifshitz wrote: “The main internal goal of such art is to suppress the consciousness of consciousness. Flight into superstition is the minimum. Even better is an escape to the unthinking world. Hence the constant efforts to break the mirror of life, or at least make it cloudy, unseeing. Every image needs to be given the features of something “dissimilar”. Thus, the figurativeness decreases, in the end - something free from all possible associations with real life.

There are many different directions in contemporary fine arts. The authors of some trends endow their works with a “deep” meaning, which in fact is only a form that reflects the personal experiences and fleeting feelings of the creator. The famous surrealist S. Dali wrote about his painting “Soft Clock”: “It was one evening, I was tired, I had a migraine - an extremely rare ailment for me. We were supposed to go to the cinema with friends, but at the last moment I decided to stay at home. Gala will go with them, and I will go to bed early. We ate very tasty cheese, then I was left alone, sitting, leaning on the table, and thinking about how "super soft" melted cheese is. I got up and went to the studio to take a look at my work as usual. The picture I was going to paint was a landscape of the outskirts of Port Lligat, rocks, as if illuminated by a dim evening light. In the foreground, I sketched the chopped off trunk of a leafless olive tree. This landscape is the basis for a canvas with some idea, but what? I needed a marvelous image, but I did not find it. I went to turn off the light, and when I got out, I literally “saw” the solution: two pairs of soft clocks, one hanging plaintively from an olive branch. Despite the migraine, I prepared my palette and set to work. Two hours later, when Gala returned from the cinema, the picture, which was to become one of the most famous, was completed. Such works do not carry anything useful to other people, because they are a reflection of the moments of the artist's well-being, which can hardly matter beyond this vanishing moment. “In the old art, a loving, conscientious depiction of the real world was important. The personality of the artist more or less receded into the background before his creation and thus rose above its own level. In modern art, the situation is just the opposite - what the artist does is more and more reduced to a pure sign, a sign of his personality. “Everything that I spit, all this will be art,” said the famous German Dadaist Kurt Schwitters, “because I am an artist.” In a word, what is done is not important at all. The gesture of the artist is important, his posture, his reputation, his signature, his priestly dance in front of the lens of cinema, his miraculous deeds, divulged to the whole world.

After reading a book by some contemporary, you sometimes sit and think “what ideas did the author want to convey?” But now, even in a book for children, you can find out “how children are made” and what words are best expressed. With cinema, the situation is the same, if not worse. Fantastic action films, "abstruse" detective stories, incredible adventure novels - such films are being churned out like on a conveyor belt. Real human feelings and experiences fade into the background, now a beautiful form is in fashion, cultivating vulgar, arrogant behavior, selfishness, and the denial of any ideals. What are the endless erotic scenes worth, pressing only on the physical human needs? And in other types of art, unfortunately, nothing qualitatively new appears. Modern musical performers or the same screenwriters-producers of theatrical performances remake old works in a new way, completely distorting, or rather, if possible, completely eliminating the meaning from there. This is often the whole point of them.

Is it possible to educate a normally developed person based on such art? Modern man reads vulgar literature, watches cruel films, listens to destructive music, and at the same time he himself becomes vulgar, cruel and blind. Our contemporary cannot properly assess the situation and find a way out of it, because "in order to think about the world around you, you need to see this world." By creating works that do not reflect anything other than the artist’s well-being at the time of the creation of this work, or by replacing art with a beautiful form that does not carry any meaning at all, the creator destroys the ability of mankind to come closer to understanding the surrounding reality, nature, society, man, and himself too . But “truth is the similarity of our representations, or concepts, with the thing itself. It should be the basis of every work of fine arts. V.I. also wrote about this. Lenin: “There are really, objectively, three members here: 1) nature; 2) human cognition, the human brain (as the highest product of the same nature) and 3) the form of reflection of nature in human cognition, this form is concepts, laws, categories, etc. A person cannot embrace = reflect = reflect the nature of all, completely, its “immediate wholeness”, he can only eternally approach this, creating abstractions, concepts, laws, a scientific picture of the world, etc., etc.”

Now, perhaps, everyone who decides to engage in creative activities and tries not to die of hunger at the same time is admonished with the following phrase: “first make a name for yourself, and then the name will work for you.” Capitalism strictly dictates its conditions: if you want to live, sell yourself. What sells best? Fictional mythical utopias, abstract surrealistic paintings, enticing, enchanting landscapes, without any deep subtext. Such works are created that stupefy and lead thoughts into oblivion. Why? There is no benefit in painting the injustice of the existing world, there is no benefit in highlighting the problems of modern society. Because such works would make the public think, think about the imperfection of the modern world. Art loses its main function - the function of reflecting reality, while it grows a limited, insensitive and blind consumer. “Art, first of all, should reflect the real life of people, and not suggest that everything is fine. There is advertising for this, it requires, forces you to buy, shave, wash, perfume, go on vacation, and so on.

Today, many people agree that contemporary art is a decay of the old and does not play a creative role in the development of the individual. These people try to educate themselves and their children in the spirit of the classics, closing their eyes to modern life. Of course, for the normal development of a person, it is necessary to master the riches of culture accumulated by all previous generations. But to create a qualitatively new in any area, you need to go beyond the existing. Therefore, you should not close your eyes, but on the contrary - you need to pay attention to the real state of affairs and change the situation for the better.

Creators should direct their efforts to open the eyes of humanity: so that people look around, so that their hearts beat, so that they feel the existing injustice and all together begin to look for a solution to the existing problem.

The influence of painting on human psychology.

Scientists have proven that painting has a certain influence on the emotional mood of a person. Therefore, when choosing a picture, you should definitely take this into account.

British researchers have found that painting has a beneficial effect not only on the spiritual and intellectual development of a person, but also on his mental health. Contemplation of the creations of great masters causes a state similar to falling in love.
As scientists from University College London explain, this is due to the activation of the same areas of the brain. When viewing pictures and looking at a loved one, a surge of dopamine is observed in the body, which is responsible for the feeling of pleasure and contributes to the emergence of pleasant sensations.

Professor of neuroscience Semir Zeki conducted a series of experiments that allow you to observe the work of the brain. Volunteers were shown 28 pictures while scanning their brains. The participants were shown the works of famous masters, in particular Sandro Botticelli, Claude Monet and John Constable. As the scientist established, increased blood flow occurred in areas of the brain that are associated with love.
Scientists have found that when contemplating works of art, people can experience feelings similar to those that appear when looking at a loved one.
In addition, according to him, contemplation of pictures improves well-being.

Every work of art contains a great charge of energy. This energy is sure to bring the viewer into contact. It is important that this energy potential coincides with the potential of a person, otherwise great harm will be done to health.

Color harmony cannot be regulated by any rules. The color circle is the primary source in which the basic order of colors is established.
More about some of the effects of colors on humans:
Active colors (yellow and red) always take precedence over passive colors (blue and green), so they are only desirable in small doses. Yellow and red are remembered more strongly - perhaps this is a consequence of observing nature.
It must not be forgotten that geometric shapes are related to colors by strict laws of harmony, and that colors can "speak out" just like geometric shapes. This becomes clear from the energy concept - the radiation of the form and the wave nature of color formation. Therefore, in our opinion, the triangle symbolizes movement, a strong desire to escape, which is similar to the contemplation of red.
The blue is trying to concentrate or lock itself into a perfect circle shape, and the yellow flower is trying to go beyond.

Similar connections of colors and shapes are found in abstract artwork.

It is known that Van Gogh gave great expressiveness to complementary colors (red-green for spring, blue-orange for summer, yellow-violet for autumn and black-and-white for winter). V. Kandinsky argued that painting can influence a person in the same way as music
We live in a world of many different forms. Some of them are linear or spherical, others are geometric, like webs, others are amorphous, like clouds, constantly changing. Many shapes catch the eye, such as an exotic orchid, a spiral seashell, or even tree branches. If any shape is repeated, a pattern is created that can also look very beautiful. Light gives a special attraction to bodies of various shapes. It emphasizes details, provides color to the texture and creates a certain mood in a person.

Color matters the time of day. We experience during the day the color transition from yellow through orange, purplish red to dark.
In nature, there is a natural series of development of flowers. If there is something cloudy in front of the beam of light, then it appears yellowish, but if something cloudy is placed in front of the dark, then the dark appears light blue, turning into dark blue. Therefore, the sky appears blue to us, regardless of the fact that there is nothing blue in it.
If we enter first the yellow room and then the red one, then you are inspired; when returning from the red room to the yellow one, it seems to us that we become light.
The order in which colors change in space is very important for our mood.
The perception of paintings depends on the composition, shape, lighting and colors. However, it should be borne in mind that works of art also affect the viewer with their energy, which depends on many factors.
Art lovers know that it is pleasant and easy to stand near one picture, as if exciting, fresh air is blowing, and the other creates a feeling of tension and discomfort. In the same picture there can be areas with both positive and negative energy. However, the total energy layering of various elements of the plot of the picture can create in the viewer a feeling of unearthly radiation.
Great painters, being in a state of creative ecstasy, worked on a strong surge of bioenergy, which passed through the hand to paint and canvas with the imposition of thoughts and emotions of the master. This is the magic of art, which contributes to the spiritual and often physical healing of a person.

Many people know that works of art (paintings, sculptures, arts and crafts) carry a certain charge of energy. Let's talk about painting, since it is paintings in the interior of a house or office that have a particularly large energy potential. It is important that this energy potential coincides with the potential of those people who live or work where the paintings are located and come into contact with their energy every day. First of all, it is important for their physical health and emotional and psychological state.

When choosing a painting, we look at the subject, composition, painting style, painting technique, color scheme, etc. At the same time, art lovers know that it is pleasant and easy to stand near one picture, as if exciting, fresh air is felt, and the other creates a feeling of tension and discomfort. The powerful positive energy of the canvas can give the impression that the whole picture is filled with some kind of inner light. At the same time, in the same picture (if its dimensions are large) there can be sections, fragments with both positive and neutral energy. However, the total energy layering of various elements of the plot of the picture can create in the viewer a feeling of unearthly radiation.

The energy biofield of paintings can be explored. For example, with the help of dowsing methods, a study of A. Ivanov's painting "The Appearance of Christ to the People" was carried out. Experts believe that A. Ivanov's paintings have a high bioenergetic content and have a strong positive psychotherapeutic effect on people's health. During the study, it was found that the energy of John the Baptist was several times higher than the energy of all the actors, except for Jesus Christ, whose biofield radius is more than eight meters. The biofield of John the Baptist is about five meters, despite the fact that his figure is three times smaller than the figure of Christ. It is believed that the biofield is not associated with the size of a person, but is associated with his personality, more precisely with what the artist thought about his hero at the time of creation.

Many researchers of painting have recently been talking more and more often about the provable penetration of the non-material into real matter. In their opinion, painting, as well as music, take their energy from the surrounding space. The artist transforms this energy and transfers it to the canvas. Great painters, being in a state of creative ecstasy, worked on a strong surge of bioenergy, which passed through the hand to paint and canvas with the imposition of thoughts and emotions of the master. Thus, the total energy of the radiation of all colors and the bioenergetics superimposed on the subconscious give that unique magical effect of healing painting, which contributes not only to the spiritual, but also to the physical recovery of a person. Creative people have a special gift: when creating a work of art, they move away from what they have experienced, rethinking it, so that later they can convey their feelings on the canvas, cleansed of trifles. The experiences caused by them, being transformed into the energy of paintings, not only delight, excite the soul, but also heal and restore health.

According to British researchers, a trip to a psychoanalyst can be safely replaced by a trip to an art gallery. Works of both world and modern art affect the human psyche in a unique way, experts say. Scientists conducted a study in which they scanned the brains of a group of volunteers while they were viewing paintings by great artists such as Claude Monet and Sandro Botticelli. Experts have recorded that while watching the brain activity was similar to that experienced by the human brain in moments of love. In addition, the researchers found that the hormone dopamine, associated with pleasant sensations and pleasure, was released into the blood of the subjects. Moreover, such a reaction arose in the subjects almost instantly. The experts believe that their research results suggest that the contemplation of pictorial masterpieces can help to cope with fears and anxiety and even reduce pain.

In traditional Chinese qigong therapy, there is a method that the Chinese doctor Shen Jian called "painting admiring qigong", or "painting admiring therapy". Since ancient times, it has been based on well-known techniques using such means as paintings and calligraphy. The medieval literature of China gives many examples of how the contemplation of the paintings of the masters of painting brought obvious relief to the sick, who seemed hopeless. This method is still used by Chinese medicine today. Chinese doctors say: "In addition to the fact that paintings and calligraphy simply decorate empty walls, they also create a special atmosphere, give people aesthetic pleasure, serve as a means of developing intelligence and educating character, developing a friendly attitude towards others, which naturally balances the nervous system" . Shen Jian describes several vivid cases from medical practice, when patients were so carried away by contemplation of pictures that, forgetting about everything, they came into a state of joyful experience, as a result of which blood circulation was normalized, the protective functions of the body were strengthened, which ultimately led to recovery. The great Avicenna in his famous work "The Canon of Medicine" also described the relationship between color, human temperament and human health.

Starting from the middle of the 19th century, European doctors, following the doctors of the East, began to advocate the use of contemplation of the masterpieces of painting as one of the healing, and quite effective, methods. So in one of the major hospitals in London conducted an interesting experiment. Not only the corridors and halls, but also the hospital wards of the clinic were decorated with paintings of different genres and styles. A few years later, a survey was conducted among patients, and it was found that 80% of them believe that painting improved their mood and distracted from health problems. In another clinic in England, they tried to find out how masterpieces of painting affect patients in the oncology department. Patients, after preliminary tests, were divided into three groups, one of which listened to music, the second was surrounded by pictures, and the third underwent the usual course of treatment. After examination, the doctors noted a significant improvement in the psychological state of patients who listened to music and looked at the paintings of artists. In group I, the feeling of depression and fear decreased by 32%, in group II - by 18%. But in those patients who took only drugs, the mood remained the same. No less interesting are the results obtained in Australia, at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. David Evans conducted a series of experiments using art therapy, and it turned out that patients who received therapeutic "doses" of music or painting began to require less painkillers than before. In addition, their blood pressure dropped markedly.

The method of treatment by painting is also used in Russia. According to some studies of groups of patients by psychoneurologists, it is noted that landscapes dominated by blue, green colors and soft sunlight relieve nervous excitement in patients and help overcome depression. Doctors say: “Real art always has a healing effect. It is an excellent analgesic."

Interesting are the results of the studies of Leonardo Olazábal (Bilbao, Spain), which formed the basis of his treatment methods, which he repeatedly reported at scientific conferences. He considers the study of the physics of microvibrations in painting by N.K. Roerich and his son S.N. Roerich. Leonardo Olazábal used various paintings, primarily mountain landscapes. A lot has been written about the mountain landscapes of Nicholas Roerich. But for Olazábal, the paintings of the Roerichs became the subject of natural science research. Based on many years of experience, he fixes a specific healing effect associated with the contemplation of paintings. He writes: “Let's take for example the paintings of Nicholas and Svyatoslav Roerich. We can take pictures that simply show sunrises and sunsets, with hills and mountains. We will conduct a special test and see that these paintings emit the highest vibrations up to 10 thousand microns. Evaluating the results obtained over several years, the scientist concludes: “N. Roerich's painting has a healing therapeutic effect, even when we just look at his paintings. This healing effect is definitely there, although for the observer it is something unthinkable, inexpressible through words.

Recently, more and more specialists from specialized clinics and psychological assistance centers are implementing programs on painting treatment methods. Without requiring large financial outlays, such programs, with proper organization of treatment, have a positive effect on the psychological state of patients. It is likely that in the future the creation of special rooms in medical institutions - art rooms will become a common practice. In the meantime, painting treatment has not found such wide application in traditional medicine, you can become your own doctor and collect a collection of modern paintings at home. You can determine the energy potential of the picture both with the help of specialists and on your own, based on personal feelings. Stay longer at the picture you like, look carefully at the colors, the plot, try to feel its energy, and if the picture causes inexplicable pleasant sensations, then there is a coincidence of energy potentials, and such a picture, being in the house, will definitely give a healing effect.
