Another unique ski resort in France is Alpe d'Huez. It is there that the longest ski slope in the world is located - Saren. Its length is 16 km. Last winter, 33 additional snow guns were installed on the slope. As a result, with the already existing 72 snow cannons, snow is always there now.
This year Alpe d'Huez has replaced ski lifts with mixed lifts (combination of cabins and chairs).
The resort of Megeve (by the way, it is there that former French President Nicolas Sarkozy mainly rides) this year will be replenished with a hotel of the Palace category. Megève will offer its guests a flight on an airplane over the icy peak of Mont Blanc, hot air ballooning, snowshoeing, ice skating, ice climbing, dog sledding and a visit to a deer farm.
Les des Alpes boasts another world record among ski resorts in the Alps - there is the biggest difference in altitude: the ski area is between 3600 m and 1300 m. By the way, this area is called nothing more than a gourmet resort: Les Deux Alps 66 restaurants.
Until May 1, this year the Val d'Isère ski area will be open. About 300 km of ski slopes, 80 mechanical lifts are waiting for guests. The height difference in the resort reaches 1900 m (the lowest is 1550 m, the top is 3450 m). In addition, there are two glaciers above 3000 m and two snowparks.

In addition to the fact that this is 508 km of well-prepared slopes, these are also new offers and options that simply cannot be refused. 
To begin with, it is here in the Zillertal that a special network of mountain huts began to develop, where you can dine on occasion (the Platzalm, for example, serves signature cheese and potato pies) or simply choose them as a permanent place of residence. At the same time, the design of the huts is varied and will satisfy the most demanding taste: from traditional Tyrolean dwellings to the most modernist suites. In other words, you find yourself in the position of the owners of the slope - while the rest of the skiers are just approaching the lifts, you are already rushing down the mountain.
However, there is another option to be on the mountain first. It is in this season that the funiculars in the Hochzillertal start working at 7.30 in the morning. So, immediately after waking up, instead of charging, the larks can slide down the slopes several times, and then, with a sense of accomplishment, have breakfast in one of the resort restaurants. 
And a completely dizzying option will be available from mid-January 2017. From now on, you will be able to book a track for one hour only for yourself and your friends. This proposal in the Zillertal was born not from a bad, but rather from a too good life. There are so many slopes that your "personal" descent will not change the traffic in the resort.
This season, the longest ski slope in Austria with a vertical drop of 1930 m will open in the Zell-Gerlos region. But if such distances are not enough for you, we advise you to try the seven-kilometer Gerlosstein toboggan run - this is where genuine ecstasy is guaranteed to you.
Please note that at the Hintertux Glacier, by the way, a year-round skiing area, a new fun track awaits you with many obstacles for skis and snowboards. For those who are not in the know, we inform you that under the ski slopes in a cave of natural origin there is an ice palace, where relic stalactites and stalagmites shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow. Be sure to dine at the local Alpenhof restaurant.
