We are treated with baptismal water. The healing properties of baptismal water and the rules of slipping. Why baptismal water does not spoil

So ends Christmas time - festivities. But they end for a reason, and we receive holy baptismal water as a result of the great purification of water on Earth. Baptism - "immersion in water" - is one of the important Christian sacraments. From January 18 to 19, on Epiphany night, the greatest miracle happens in the world - the Spirit of God descends on all the water on Earth and it becomes healing, bringing harmony.

Epiphany water is not even denied by doctors. It normalizes the immune, endocrine and nervous systems. Heals the brain area and respiratory system. It improves the distribution of energy in all organs and systems of the body, improves the balance between the right and left sides of the body. There are cases when a few drops of it, poured into the mouth of an unconscious patient, brought him to consciousness and dramatically changed the course of the disease for improvement. Therefore, the healing power of baptismal water can be used for the benefit of your priceless health. To do this, as a preventive measure, take it inside the throat on an empty stomach from all diseases, most often with a piece of prosphora. It is not recommended to drink it in large quantities every day, as baptismal water is a strong energy water. In the morning you need to get up, cross yourself, ask for a blessing from the Lord for the day that has begun, then wash, pray and take a sip of great hagiasma. If the use of medicines on an empty stomach is prescribed, then they first drink holy water, and then medicines. There is no need to add holy water to medicines, it is better to take medicines with prayer. In fact, it is advisable to start every morning with water to activate the body after sleep.

Women wash themselves with baptismal water, wipe their whole body in order to be attractive. Priests recommend sprinkling food with it, and during illness, use it as a medicine, taking a tablespoon every hour. It is necessary to use holy water with a prayer "so that we can receive power that strengthens health, heals diseases, drives away demons and averts all enemy slander, from God."

holy prayer

“Lord, my God, may Your holy gift and Your holy water be for the remission of my sins, for the enlightenment of my mind, for the strengthening of my spiritual and bodily strength, for the health of my soul and body, for the subjugation of my passions and infirmities through Your infinite mercy the prayers of Your Most Pure Mother and all Your saints. Amen".

When holy baptismal water is recommended to drink for nine days. To relieve headaches or other pains, a compress dipped in holy water must be applied to the sore spot. It is useful to rinse your mouth with Epiphany water, sprinkle your eyes, face, and whole body.

It is very effective to drink in the morning on an empty stomach a glass of boiled water cooled to room temperature, to which a tablespoon of Epiphany water is added. This procedure is a useful prophylactic and helps to remove toxins from the body. With conjunctivitis, rinse your eyes with baptismal water and everything will pass.

Epiphany water is a very good psychotherapeutic agent for relieving irritability and increased anxiety. After a nervous, hard day, drink 0.5 cups of holy water, making a mental setting: "My irritability, tension and anxiety go away. I am calm," and you will feel how tension and irritability go away, peace and peace come.

With the help of baptismal water, demons, demons, evil spirits are cast out, sprinkling people, dwellings, furniture, and every thing with it. If you put a bucket of this water on the negative zone, it will become neutral. But baptismal water heals only when we drink it with prayer and trying to live according to God's commandments.

True, it is not advisable for women to take baptismal water on critical days. But if a woman is very ill, then this circumstance does not play a big role. May the water of the Epiphany help her!

They also collected snow for Epiphany. According to legend, lowered into the well, he could keep water in it all year, even in the driest time. Also, various ailments were treated with this snow: dizziness, convulsions, numbness, etc., girls bleached for beauty, and women bleached underwear. And in order to see the Baptism of the Lord in reality, they put a bowl of water on the table and said: “at night the water itself sways” - this was a kind of sign. And if at midnight the water really swayed in the bowl, everyone ran to look at the “open skies” and make a wish. So, as for what you pray at this time to the open sky, then. Also, everyone believed that on the night of Epiphany, the water itself is sanctified in all sources, regardless of church rites, since Christ Himself plunges into it again on this night.

Rules for handling baptismal water. Epiphany water is sacred!

Attention!!! It must be remembered that baptismal water is a shrine that has been touched by the grace of God, and therefore it needs a reverent attitude. Only with this attitude, it remains fresh for a long time, pleasant to the taste. It is desirable to store it in a dark place, and most correctly under the home iconostasis

You can pour holy water only in a certain place that is not trampled under foot. Therefore, it is not recommended to pour water into an infant font. It is better to let your child drink holy water, and take communion regularly. You should not dilute the water in the bathing bath with holy water, because after that it drains into the sewer, and this is simply unacceptable. Also, do not water the plants with holy water. Some of them just dry up.

Hundreds of people decide to take in Baptism a cleansing ice font: after all, the sins made by a person for a whole year are washed away with baptismal water. It is simply impossible to get sick at Epiphany.

We are treated with baptismal water. How to cleanse yourself with baptismal water at home?!

But who is afraid of an ice font, douse yourself with baptismal water three times or take a bath. To do this, at 00.10 minutes and up to 1.30 minutes, you can fill the tub with cold water from the tap. Then, having crossed the water and yourself three times, read the prayer (see above). Then hit your chest with the fist of your right hand three times, causing the body to vibrate in harmony with the vibrations of the water.

Without noise and screams, sit in the bath and plunge headlong three times, not forgetting to hit your chest each time. If during bathing the water begins to “boil” or bubbles form, the purification process takes place, negative energy comes out, the evil eye is removed.

Then silently exit the bath. Do not dry off immediately, let the water soak into the skin. While doing this, massage your body or tap your fingers vigorously from head to toe. Then put on linen, a warm bathrobe, socks, preferably everything new, but it can be washed and ironed. Relax, drink herbal tea with honey.

If one of your loved ones wants to bathe in baptismal water, fill the tub with fresh water.
What if you are afraid of cold water? Then dilute the baptismal water with hot water. The bath can be taken during the day, but water must be drawn into it at night from 12.10 to half past two.

Do not take Epiphany water in buckets or bottles. You can use a small amount of it until the new Baptism.

After all, it, added to ordinary water, gives it the same beneficial properties. Therefore, if you do not have enough holy water, add it to a simple one - "a drop of holy water sanctifies the sea." Do not be upset if you did not collect holy water at Baptism. It is always present in every Temple.

If your baptismal water has deteriorated, then you have sinned greatly. Pour it into running water: into a stream, a river. It is strictly forbidden to swear, quarrel, commit impious deeds, and allow bad thoughts when collecting holy water. At the same time, holy water loses its holiness, and most often it simply pours out.

Therefore, do good to the water of the Epiphany, and let it bring you healing.

Be healthy!

When the Savior entered the Jordan and was baptized by John, the God-man came into contact with matter. And until now, on the day of Epiphany, it is according to the church style, when water is consecrated in churches, it becomes incorruptible, that is, it does not deteriorate for many years, even if it is kept in a closed vessel. This happens every year and only on the feast of Epiphany according to the Orthodox, Julian calendar. On this day, according to one of the church stichera, “the nature of all waters is sanctified,” therefore, not only the water in the church, but all the waters acquire the original property of incorruption. And the next day, after Epiphany, all the waters again acquire their usual properties.

On the day of Theophany, every Orthodox Christian brings home a vessel with holy water, carefully keeps it as the greatest shrine, praying to partake of holy water in sickness and all kinds of infirmity.

How to use holy Epiphany water?

The use of holy water in the daily life of an Orthodox Christian is quite diverse. For example, taken on an empty stomach in small amounts, usually together with a piece of prosphora (this especially applies to the great agiasma - Epiphany water), sprinkle their dwelling.

She eats on an empty stomach, a spoonful, a little bit, daily and with a prayer:

« Lord my God, may Your holy gift and Your holy water be for the remission of my sins, for the enlightenment of my mind, for the strengthening of my spiritual and bodily strength, for the health of my soul and body, for the subjugation of my passions and infirmities, through Your boundless mercy, with the prayers of the Most Pure Your Mother and all Your saints. Amen«.

A man got up, crossed himself, asked for a blessing from the Lord for the day that had begun, washed himself, prayed and took a great hagiasma. If the medication is prescribed on an empty stomach, then first take holy water and then the medicine. And then breakfast and stuff.

But due to a special need for God's help - in case of ailments or attacks by evil forces - you can and should drink it without hesitation, at any time or every hour.

Ascetics of Christian piety call blessed water the best medicine for all spiritual and bodily ailments.

She can wash the patient and sprinkle. Truth, women on critical days are not blessed to take baptismal water. But this is if the woman is otherwise healthy. BUT if she is sick, then even this circumstance does not play a role. Epiphany water will help her!

With a reverent attitude, holy water remains fresh and pleasant to the taste for a long time.

It should be stored in a separate place, next to the home iconostasis.. Because the Great Agiasma is one of the main shrines of the Orthodox Church. The very word "Agiasma" means "shrine". And you don't have to put it in the fridge. It is also unacceptable for holy water to fall into the drain..

A special property of holy water is that, added even in a small amount to ordinary water, it imparts beneficial properties to it, therefore, in case of a shortage of holy water, it can be diluted with plain water from a clean container.

We must not forget that blessed water is a church shrine, with which the grace of God has come into contact, and which requires a reverent attitude towards itself.

  1. Holy water should be drunk in the morning on an empty stomach or at night before bed (but not from the total capacity).
  2. With a very serious illness or if a person is in a state of intense spiritual struggle, despondency, it can be drunk in unlimited quantities, regardless of food intake.
  3. After drinking, you need to pray for healing.
  4. For pain or just a sore spot, you can apply a compress moistened with holy water.
  5. Holy water has tremendous healing power. There are cases when a few drops of such water, poured into the mouth of an unconscious patient, brought him to his senses and changed the course of the disease. But that doesn't mean you don't need to see a doctor. A special property of holy water is that, added even in a small amount to ordinary water, it imparts beneficial properties to it.
  6. It is necessary to store holy water at the icon or behind the icon. Just please label the bottle or stick a proper label on it. Be careful that your loved ones inadvertently do not pour out holy water, or do not use it reverently. Do not store this water in the refrigerator. Do not keep it near food.
  7. This water is not given to animals.
  8. You can only sprinkle it with your home (while reading a prayer), a car, or some other thing, also clothes, and even pets.
  9. If the water has deteriorated, it must be poured into a river or other natural source. Holy water must not be poured down the sink or drain. Holy water is not thrown on the ground. It is poured into an "impregnable" place, that is, to the place where people do not go ( do not trample on feet) and dogs don't run. You can pour water into the river, you can into a flower pot, you can into a clean place under a tree.

HOLY WATER IS NECESSARY NOT ONLY TO KEEP CAREFULLY, BUT ALSO USE REGULARLY.

  1. Eternal storage of water "in reserve" is unacceptable if it was brought to their church once for Baptism according to the principle "to be in the house, because everyone has it." This is a kind of confinement of the shrine. The grace of holy water does not decrease, no matter how much it is stored, but people who do not turn to the shrine rob themselves.
  2. Once blessed water always remains so.. In the case when we have little holy water left, but we need some significant amount, we can add holy water to ordinary water. All water will be sanctified.

Finally, the most important:

Holy water will not bring us any benefit if we spend our lives away from God. If we want to feel God in our lives, to feel His help, His participation in our affairs, we must become Christians not only in name, but also in essence.

Being a Christian means:

  1. Fulfill the commandments of God, love God and neighbors;
  2. Participate in Church Sacraments and pray at home;
  3. Work on fixing your soul.

May the Lord help us, no matter how far we are from our Heavenly Father's home, to return to Him.

Did you drink water today? This liquid has become so everyday and everyday in our life that few people think about its properties, capabilities and miraculous effect.

Our current perception of water does not even remotely resemble how our ancestors treated it.

And they treated her with respect, reverence, revered water as Source of Life, a symbol of the feminine, giving life to all living things.

Attitude to water in different religions

The ancient Slavs worshiped the goddess Moksha, who could be seen when it was raining. Rain streams were considered the hair of Moksha. Moksha was for them the foremother of all living things - both man and beast, and the grain ear.

The Egyptians idolized Isis - the goddess of the water element, considered her the mother of all people.

Water is also important in Islam. Before turning to God with a prayer, a Muslim must go through a ritual bath.

The entire Old Testament reflected the belief that water has mystical power and, united with God, is able to cleanse sins and impurity, thereby opening the way to human rebirth.

In Shintoism, the original Japanese religion, waterfalls are considered sacred, and it is believed that by standing under a waterfall, a person is cleansed of spiritual impurity.

For many Hindus (and not only for them), the sacred river Ganges carries a special philosophy. They are washed in it in order to cleanse themselves of sins, get rid of diseases, and receive insight from ignorance.

All teachings and religions have one thing in common: water is an essence that cleanses and sanctifies the body. These two properties give water an important, almost sacred status.

It is impossible to call it "substance". An ordinary chemical has no mind, no soul. And the water has it. Our ancestors knew about this, and this simple truth was revealed to scientists not so long ago.

Modern research on the properties of water

Scientists have proven that vibrations are at the heart of everything that exists. Our words and thoughts are also vibrations of different frequencies.

And water has the ability to perceive and record information. Clear evidence of this amazing fact is simple ice.

Japanese explorer Masaru Emoto(Masaru Emoto) found a way to show how water changes by photographing its frozen crystals using a powerful electron microscope and a camera built into it.

Under the influence and influence of the energy of words, prayer or music, water changes its energy-informational structure.

With a negative message and bad words, water crystals turned into something ugly and shapeless, and with a positive message and kind words, the crystals turned into amazingly beautiful patterns and drawings.

Thus, we receive an invaluable treasure and an absolutely free medicine for many diseases.

Water itself cleanses the body and removes toxins from it, and if we add to this the power of intention, then the effect of water will increase many times over.

“A careless, abusive attitude towards water can ruin your health and ruin your life, because water is basis of life.

On the contrary, if you treat her attentively, caringly and lovingly, then she, like any mother, will give you everything you need for life. First of all, health”

- Sister Stephanie writes in her book "Water Hexes to Fulfill Your Desires".

The Russian language has very well noticed the relationship that exists between water and information. Note that the words "water" and "know"- historically identical.

Thus, water is a substance that knows (knows) a lot and can tell (tell) a person.

Unfortunately, water is now suffering all over the Earth. People, not realizing that water is a living, animated being, simply kill it.

Industrial waste, all kinds of radiation, chemistry, radiation, swearing and foul language make water unhealthy.

There are many ways to purify water to make it drinkable.

But there are several days in the year associated with religious holidays, when nature itself allows the water to purify and acquire healing properties.

A holiday honoring water

And now a special holiday is approaching, which for many is the strongest mechanism for cleansing, strengthening health and recharging with divine energies - Epiphany Night!

On the night of January 18-19, the water is cleared of all the information that it had to absorb into itself, and therefore this time is considered the Christmas of the Dead (Zeroed) Water.

This water neutralizes all harmful substances, perfectly cleanses and heals wounds, cleanses the skin, reduces inflammation, slows down neoplasms, and has an analgesic effect on the body.

What is the secret of Epiphany water?

According to the Vedas of the Rus, during the Epiphany Night (Water Light) the Sun, the Earth and the center of the Galaxy are located in such a way that a line of communication opens between the heart of our planet and the center of the Galaxy.

Operates a special kind energy channel, which in a certain way structures everything that falls into it. This structurization is subjected to water on Earth and everything that it is part of.

This is confirmed by modern scientists.

According to S. Zenin, Doctor of Biological Sciences, water researcher, the surge of the unique properties of water begins, as a rule, on Epiphany Christmas Eve from about 17.30 to 23.30 and continues on the Epiphany itself - from 12.30 to 16.00.

After that, the water in natural reservoirs quickly returns to its normal state.

The fact of the miraculous properties of "Epiphany" water, which does not deteriorate for a long time, corresponds to a scientific explanation. By reducing the electrical conductivity in it, the growth of microorganisms is suppressed.

Therefore, during the hours of the greatest calmness of water on the planet, it can be collected from any source, it will retain its good quality for a long time.

According to the biophysicist Zenin, unique quality of baptismal water are intensified during the procedures usually carried out in the church: when a silver cross is lowered into the water (silver improves the quality of the water) and prayers are read.

How can you use this period and the special properties of water

At 11 p.m., an uncovered bucket or basin of water should be taken outside (to the balcony, courtyard, etc.) and left there until the morning.

In the morning, heat the water, pour 3 buckets on yourself and drink a few sips, then you need to spray the corners of the house and everything around, wash the floor with the rest of the water. Believe me, you will immediately feel burst of energy, the house will become easier to breathe.

The water collected from the hole on the eve of Epiphany was considered healing and was used by healers to treat diseases throughout the next year.

For a long time, a belief has been preserved: if you pray to the sky on the night of January 19, then any request will come true: it was believed that on the Epiphany night “the sky opens”.

From 0:10 to 1:30 or a little later, go out into the open sky or look out the window at the stars, thank God for what you have and ask for what you want.

On the day of Epiphany, after the prayer service, the sick bathe in the hole - to be cured of the disease.

And those who guessed on the night of the New Year, at Christmas time and at Epiphany, bathed or doused themselves with water without fail: in this way they washed away the sin, because divination has always been considered a conspiracy with evil spirits.

After the water was consecrated in the church, each owner with all the household members drank a few sips from the brought jug, and then sprinkled holy water all his property in order to protect his house for a whole year from troubles and from the evil eye.

They use baptismal water in many cases: for healing from ailments, removing damage, for cleansing dwellings and things, as well as for the purpose protection from all evil.

It is best to store it near the icons. This water does not spoil during the year.

It was believed that after washing with water from the melted Epiphany snow, the girls became amazingly attractive!

This snow was considered healing, they were treated with various ailments - dizziness, numbness in the legs, convulsions.

It’s also good to do at Baptism rituals and rites good luck in business.

Now both science and religion are unanimous in their beliefs: water is a single information system that connects all life on Earth. Water has a memory, it remembers everything it has come into contact with on its way.

Our body consists of 80% water. And if water is a carrier of information, then it is possible to program the consumed liquid for what is useful for the body and the person as a whole: for health, luck, beauty.

Your words and thoughts carry information and have great power. Therefore, you yourself can program the water for the result that is important to you.

There are certain rules that must be observed in such work. We will talk about this in more detail at our monthly meeting − Day of the reincarnist.

Use the Feast of Epiphany to cleanse yourself of everything old and unnecessary, making room for new insights and discoveries.

And I invite you on January 22 to Reincarnist Day, where we will continue this topic and you can charge my water and also go through meditation to cleanse and harmonize all bodies.

It is known from ancient history that the Patriarch of Constantinople, the great theologian, Ecumenical teacher and saint, John Chrysostom spoke about the Epiphany holy water in his sermons. It turns out that until the XII century in Ancient Russia there was no tradition at all to sanctify water. It appeared only after the Jerusalem liturgical charter began to operate in the Russian Orthodox Church, which was criticized and canceled more than once. But the reformer Patriarch Nikon generally forbade in 1655 to bless the water on the feast of Epiphany. In 1667, the Great Moscow Cathedral lifted the ban. Now it’s worth dealing with a huge number of questions: when can you take baptismal water, how to use it, why it doesn’t deteriorate, etc.

The use of Epiphany water in Christianity dates back to the 2nd century. In the Church there was then a special rite, which had the name - Blessing of Water. He was associated with the Old Testament traditions and the biblical story that tells how John baptized Christ himself in the Jordan River. Archaeological excavations of the East and West filled the world's museums with rare specimens of special clay vessels in which the holy baptismal water was kept by ancient Christians.

Three ranks of water blessing

Now let's dwell on when they take baptismal water. But first you need to familiarize yourself with the fact that in Orthodoxy there are three ranks according to which they sanctify water. The first rite is held on Epiphany Christmas Eve, January 18, and on the day of Epiphany - January 19. It is on this day that a procession is made "to the Jordan", to the local reservoir, for the traditional blessing of water.

The second rank is an abbreviated Great Blessing of Water. It is performed before a person is baptized. And the third rank is a small consecration of water, it is carried out on special holidays, when special prayers are read.

Secrets of Epiphany Water

Today people come to the church to collect Epiphany water there. Then the question quite logically arises: when can I take baptismal water and for what? People believe that after a special ceremony and prayers, water begins to show some of its special properties and does not deteriorate at all, which, by the way, does not always happen. Yes, indeed, a special Blessing descends on the water of the Epiphany, and Divine power begins to be stored in it. This is the whole secret of baptismal water. Therefore, people who will use it with reverence will indeed receive sanctification and grace.

How to bless an apartment with baptismal water

On the great feast of Epiphany, according to tradition, baptismal water is collected, and with the prayer “In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit”, the walls of the dwelling, various objects and even animals are consecrated.

Then how to consecrate an apartment with baptismal water correctly? To do this, a special sprinkler (broom) is bought in a shop or an ordinary twig from a tree or bush is used, and everything is sprinkled with consecrated water. And a special troparion is also pronounced.

People, when they take baptismal water, for some reason begin to be deeply mistaken in this question: is water the most healing on January 18 or 19? The main thing is to understand for yourself that the water on these two days is sanctified in the same way. In most temples, therefore, consecrated water is poured for several more days in a row.

Properties of Epiphany water

Many people are very interested in Epiphany water and its properties. People are trying to use it as a pill for all sorts of diseases, like drinking - and immediately cured. The secret of Epiphany water lies in the fact that, collected on the feast of Epiphany, it really has powerful healing properties, but it is always accepted with prayer and faith, and only then can you get real healing. During the consecration of water, according to the Christian tradition, the grace of the Holy Spirit is invoked on it, which endows it with powerful healing power.

Epiphany water. How to use

They drink this water not to quench their thirst, but to get strengthening of faith, healing of the soul and body. Good power is baptismal water: its properties are really healing, it is mainly used to restore mental and physical strength. And it is recommended to drink a small cup of water on an empty stomach. But the holy fathers of sick people blessed Epiphany water to drink one tablespoon every hour. It turns out that even a few drops of water taken during an illness could change the course of the disease. The Monk Seraphim Vyritsky claimed that consecrated oil and water help better than all medicines. He advised to sprinkle food with it.

People are always interested: how is baptismal water useful, how to use it? It is able to strengthen the immune system, and a person will be resistant to infections and will become less likely to catch a cold. She needs to wash. Ambrose of Optina sent a bottle of consecrated water to a terminally ill man, and, to the amazement of the doctors, the incurable disease receded.

Based on the opinion of Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, it is imperative to understand for yourself that on monthly days a woman cannot only partake of the Mysteries of Christ. Such a temporary state of her remains full-fledged for serving God. And this means that she can at any time touch the shrines and kiss them, smear herself with fragrant oils and drink holy water.

Holy water from the tap

Many believe that Epiphany tap water on the holiday is also holy. However, all this, first of all, depends on the faith of the person himself. If he comes to the sacrament of Baptism completely unprepared and unbelieving, then he will not receive anything good. And a deeply and truly believing person will really see that even Epiphany tap water can work miracles, and due to its unique properties it will not deteriorate at all, it will be well stored and help for a whole year. But due to the fact that the faith of people is generally very weak, you should take blessed water in the church.

Answering the question of when you can take baptismal water, the Orthodox Church claims that all water on earth on January 18 and 19 is sanctified and purified in the same way.

Epiphany water of rivers and lakes

There are many questions about this. For example, is it possible to drink or cook food from water taken from water bodies baptized on the feast, or where and when can one take baptismal water?

There are, of course, reservoirs with clean water from which you can drink, but the bulk of rivers and lakes are still undrinkable. Any Epiphany nature does not necessarily need to be drunk, it is cleansed and sanctified, and therefore everything must always be treated reasonably. In baptismal reservoirs they bathe, sprinkle objects, houses, animals, and so on. But this water should not be used for drinking. We will not drink sea water with all our desire, therefore it is best to collect consecrated water in our church and not experiment.

How to properly store baptismal water

First of all, we must always remember that even Epiphany water in all its physical parameters still remains water. But according to the metaphysical, after the baptismal rite, it acquires the divine power of consecration. However, to keep this water for a long time, some care will also be required.

In order to have enough water for the whole year, you should not strain and drag it with whole tubs. In fact, just a small amount is enough to last until the next Baptism. After all, this water has one special property: diluted with ordinary water, it sanctifies it all. It is advisable to store this water near the icons and away from sunlight, and it is better to sign it immediately so as not to accidentally use it for other purposes.

reverent storage

A case was recorded when one old woman had kept holy water since 1947 and was fit for use, because it did not deteriorate at all, as it was guarded with reverence and great love.

But the painful state of a person's soul can also affect the water. Water does not stand well where people quarrel and utter abusive words, where there is fornication and adultery. Through the water, God can show all this disgusting desolation in the house. Now the answer to the question why baptismal water does not deteriorate is clear enough.

But some negligent owners spoiled the water stored in the dishes, on which the old labels from alcoholic or carbonated drinks remained. Even if the water has deteriorated, this is not a reason to pour it out, you can no longer drink it, but you can sprinkle it. But the priests still recommend not to be lazy, go to church and collect other blessed water.

They tell one case connected with sacred water. The woman secretly put divination cards in the Easter basket, for she was told that they would be better at telling the truth. But when drops of consecrated water fell on them, they literally burned through the paper, like hot melted tin particles. Therefore, people need to beware and not use the shrine for their magical purposes, since God can shame for this in the most unexpected way.

The concept of "Holy water"

It turns out that the very concept of "holy water" is incorrect, there is a correct word - sanctified. From the Greek language "Megalo agiasma" means "Great shrine", but not "holy" ("Agia"). The word "holy" speaks of the holiness of the object, but does not make it holy, for "One is holy, one is the Lord ...". By virtue of the image and likeness, a person can be holy, or Gifts and temples, because this can be a place of special stay of the Lord. And water can only be consecrated or holy. She is consecrated with great solemnity, she is given many honors and great importance.

Many do not know what to do if baptismal water is spilled, and whether it can be poured into the sink. The spilled consecrated water is wiped off with a clean towel and squeezed into a pot with a house plant or into a pond, or simply poured into the ground, but not into a sink and into a public sewer, where it is simply unacceptable to pour it.

Deteriorating or not deteriorating

Some people wonder why baptismal water does not spoil? As mentioned earlier, water can still deteriorate, primarily due to the fact that it is taken and poured into an insufficiently clean vessel or drawn from a polluted source, or stored in the sun or in a hot place. Such an attitude in hagiasma, when the water has a musty smell, greenery, sediment, mold, can serve as a reason to shame dishonorable people.

Consecrated water can heal only by the will of God, and not because it has some magical power. The Lord influences a person through the consecrated water element. And He does this in a variety of manifestations - he gives a blessing to someone for healing, and he will admonish someone right up to illness.

real christian

Epiphany water, prayer and faith are the real weapons of a true Christian. Orthodox believers always have a need to pray, to sanctify their homes and everything around, and thereby devote their lives to serving the Lord. Therefore, in the house of a Christian, there are always icons, vessels with consecrated water, blessed oil, and an antidoron is stored in the tueska for everyday drinking of water, and this is always done with prayer. Such communion with shrines makes it possible to feel the true Divine power, which strengthens and protects.

If we recall the gospel stories, then the Lord did not just heal people, but breathed, spat, anointed the eyes of a blind man, made clay or put His fingers into the ears of a deaf person.

Double rank of Great Consecration

In general, this double rite of the Great Blessing of Water has long traditionally existed only in the Russian Orthodox Church. In ancient churches, water is consecrated only on Christmas Eve, that is, just before the feast of Epiphany. On Christmas Eve, Vespers of the Feast of the Enlightenment is directly served, this great day is also called that. And then, at the end of Vespers, a passage is made to the source for the Great Blessing of Water.

The tradition of the double rank of consecration of water dates back to the 15th century, at that time not all villages had churches, and therefore priests traveled from village to village to bless the water there on the very day of Epiphany. So this tradition was canonized - to bless water on the feast of Epiphany, although today there is no such need for this. Now the answer to the question, when they take baptismal water, will be more understandable. And therefore, it is most likely to draw water on the Eve of Epiphany - January 18 (January 5), and whoever could not do it on Christmas Eve comes a day later - January 19. The properties of water on Christmas Eve and on the day of Epiphany are the same, so you should not draw it twice.

Epiphany water, prayer and faith are the real weapons of a true Christian.

It is known from ancient history that the Patriarch of Constantinople, the great theologian, Ecumenical teacher and saint, spoke about Epiphany in his sermons. It turns out that before the XII century in Ancient Russia there was no tradition at all to bless water. It appeared only after the Jerusalem liturgical charter began to operate in the Russian Orthodox Church, which was criticized and canceled more than once. But the reformer generally forbade in 1655 to bless the water on the feast of Epiphany. In 1667, the Great Moscow Cathedral lifted the ban. Now it’s worth dealing with a huge number of questions: when can you take baptismal water, how to use it, why it doesn’t deteriorate, etc.

Rite of blessing

The use of Epiphany water in Christianity dates back to the 2nd century. In the Church there was then a special ceremony, which had the name - Blessing of Water. He was associated with the Old Testament traditions and the biblical story that tells how John baptized Christ himself.

Through can show all this disgusting desolation in the house.

The woman secretly put in divination cards, for she was told that they would be better at telling the truth.

And He does this in a variety of manifestations - he gives a blessing to someone for healing, and he will admonish someone up to illness.

real christian

Epiphany water, prayer and faith are the real weapons of a true Christian. Orthodox believers always have a need to pray, to sanctify their homes and everything around, and thereby devote their lives to serving the Lord. Therefore, in the house of a Christian, there are always icons, vessels with consecrated water, blessed oil, and an antidoron is stored in the tueska for everyday drinking of water, and this is always done with prayer. Such communication with shrines makes it possible to feel the true Divine power, which strengthens and protects.
