Prayer for solving problems to St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky - Irzeis. Saint Spyridon - the life of a miracle worker and the most powerful prayer appeals

Saint Spyridon Trimifuntsky became famous among the people for his numerous miracles. The elder was a God-fearing man, for which he was honored by Christ with the gift of foresight, he could command the weather, resurrect the dead, heal illnesses, and guide people to virtue. The icon of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky is the miraculous face of a God-loving old man who loves mankind infinitely.

The life of a miracle worker

The miracle worker was born in Cyprus in a simple working-class family. He was a kind and humble child, tending sheep. He did not receive a high education, but from an early age he tried to live piously, taking the example of virtues from the Old Testament forefathers. The young man liked to host travelers, was meek with people, helped the poor. He transferred all the virtues to family life, marrying a meek and chaste maiden.

Read about the saint:

Unfortunately, Spiridon became a widower early. He gave all his property and finances to the poor. The Lord Himself helped the man in good deeds, with His holy help the future saint learned to heal ailments, cast out demons, and help people in all their needs.

The consequence of the charitable life of Spiridon was his appointment as Bishop of Trimifunt. But being in a high position, the saint, as before, was merciful, did virtue.

In 325, Spyridon participated in the 1st Ecumenical Council, where he denounced the philosopher, who called to accept the heretical teachings of Arius. He showed to the audience the proof of unity in the Holy Trinity: taking a brick in his hands, he squeezed it with force. As a result, a fiery flame came out of the brick, then a thick stream of water flowed out of it, and the clay remained in the hands of the saint. Thus, it happened that the brick is one, and the elements are three - the same is true in the Trinity: She has three Persons, but the Deity is One. His subsequent speech on Christ and the dogmas of the faith bore fruitful results: the previously furious Aryan heretic became a defender of Orthodoxy in minutes and accepted Baptism.

Miracles of Saint Spyridon

Once Cyprus suffered a severe drought: people were dying of thirst and hunger, previously rich crops dried up in the bud. The saint offered prayers to the Almighty and the long-awaited downpour consecrated the Cypriot land, which soon gave a rich harvest, hunger and human pestilence ceased.

Spiridon has always helped poor people in their needs. Once a poor man asked a wealthy citizen for a loan of grain for sowing and promised to repay the debt after harvesting. But the rich man demanded gold from the poor man as collateral. The frustrated peasant came with his grief to the miracle worker and he promised to help him by sending the poor man home. Taking the snake in his hands, the miracle worker turned it into gold and gave it to the plowman, so that he would give it as a pledge and return it after the harvest. Having received grain, the farmer sowed the field and received a rich harvest. Having redeemed the gold from the rich man, he returned the ingot to the saint, who, before the eyes of the peasant, again turned the gold into a snake. The peasant was very surprised by the miracle and thanked God.

Spiridon of Trimifuntsky

Once a pagan townswoman came to Spiridon. Weeping bitterly, she laid the dead body of the infant at the feet of the saint. Having prayed to the Almighty, the saint instilled life into the baby. The astonished mother, seeing her child alive, immediately died of joy. But the saint ordered her to rise and stand on her feet. The woman seemed to awaken from a deep sleep, got up and took her beloved child in her arms.

End of life path

The height of the dignity was not a reason for the pride of the saint. Along with the poor, he worked in the field. During the harvest, a miracle happened and Spiridon's head was covered with cool dew, and his hair changed color. The saint understood that the Heavenly Father was calling him to Himself, that the time had come to leave earthly life for heavenly life. Around the year 348, he gave his soul to the Lord.

With honor, Spyridon of Trimifuntsky was buried in the city of Trimifunt, and at his tomb, to the Glory of the Lord, numerous miracles and healings were performed to this day.

Miraculous icon and cancer with relics

The face of the holy wonderworker rests on the iconostasis of every Orthodox church. Spiridon always responds to heartfelt prayer.

What can you pray to St. Spyridon:

The relics of the saint are on the Greek island of Corfu in a church consecrated in his honor. The right hand (right hand) of Spiridon Trimifuntsky rests in Rome. For centuries, the body of the saint remains incorruptible, its temperature is always 36.6 degrees. Through the glass of the shrine, the hair, skin and teeth of the saint are clearly visible. Scientists are still unable to explain the phenomenon of the incorruptibility of the body of a saint. The clergy periodically change the clothes and shoes in which the saint is dressed, because they often wear out.

Cancer with the relics of Spyridon Trimifuntsky

There is a legend among the people that the great saint sometimes goes to travel the world and helps those in need.

The sarcophagus is under lock and key and is open only for worship by Orthodox Christians. It is decorated with countless jewelry made of silver and gold, which is people's gratitude for Spiridon's miracles through their prayers.

In Moscow, in one of the temples of the Danilov Monastery, a shrine is kept - the saint's slipper, brought from Corfu. From time to time, clerics notice that it wears out, as if the miracle worker puts it on during his wanderings around the world.

The icon kept in the Moscow Church of the Resurrection of the Word is marked with miracles. In its center is an ark bearing part of the holy relics of Spyridon. It happened that once a servant of the temple fervently prayed before the face and suddenly saw how the door of the relics opened. The woman repeated her request again - the door closed and the request was soon fulfilled.

The meaning of the image

Orthodox people have long revered the holy face of the blessed miracle worker. Spiridon, during earthly life, favored the poor, the sick and the needy. To this day, he helps those who pray to him, including healthy, wealthy Christians.

He was always sincere in prayer and righteous in deeds.

Prayer requests

Most often, before the holy face of Spyridon of Trimifuntsky, people ask for solutions to problems:

  • in case of job loss and reduction;
  • about the resolution of material problems;
  • about finding a decent income;
  • about the timely return of debts;
  • on the acquisition of their own housing;
  • on preventing the sudden fall of livestock in peasant villages;
  • about the preservation of the harvest;
  • in litigation;
  • in healing from diseases;
  • to resolve family problems;
  • to prevent cruelty between loved ones;
  • for business success;
  • when harassed by enemies;
  • for guidance in making important and life-changing decisions.
Important! It must be understood that the saints and their Faces "do not specialize" in the fulfillment of petitions in some particular areas. The appeal to heavenly intercessors should take place with faith in the Power of the Heavenly Father, and not in the power of a separate icon or prayer.

Only pure and honest thoughts should be present in prayer, the conversion should be disinterested and pious.

When a prayer book asks for something, you must definitely thank God for absolutely everything. For sorrow and joy, wealth and poverty. With the Lord, everything is providential and according to merit.

Attention! Prayer requests to the Higher Powers must be carried out with a pure heart, disinterestedly and piously.

But it is important to know that the petition may not be fulfilled as quickly as the prayer book wishes. Perhaps, its execution will have to wait not a year or two, or even more. In this case, it is important not to lose faith, because faith and patience can move mountains!

The veneration of the icon takes place annually on December 25th. It is this day that falls on the date of the winter solstice, from which the sunny day begins to arrive. Since the time of ancient Rus', this day has been referred to as "Spiridonov's turn".

Saint Spyridon Trimifuntsky

Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky was born at the end of the 3rd century on the island of Cyprus. Little is known about his life. It is known that he was a shepherd, had a wife and children. He gave all his means to the needs of his neighbors and strangers, for which the Lord rewarded him with the gift of miracles: he healed the terminally ill and cast out demons. After the death of his wife, in the reign of Emperor Constantine the Great (306-337), he was elected bishop of the city of Trimifunt. In the rank of bishop, the saint did not change his way of life, combining pastoral service with works of mercy. According to church historians, St. Spyridon in 325 took part in the activities of the First Ecumenical Council. At the Council, the saint entered into a contest with a Greek philosopher who defended the Aryan heresy. The simple speech of St. Spyridon showed everyone weakness. human wisdom before the Wisdom of God: “Listen, philosopher, what I will tell you: we believe that the Almighty God created heaven, earth, man and the whole visible and invisible world out of nothing with His Word and Spirit. This word is the Son of God, who came down to earth for our sins, was born of the Virgin, lived with people, suffered, died for our salvation, and then rose again, atoning for original sin by His sufferings, and resurrected the human race with Himself. We believe that He is Consubstantial and Equal in Honor with the Father, and we believe this without any sly fabrications, for it is impossible to comprehend this mystery by the human mind.

As a result of the conversation, the opponent of Christianity became its zealous defender and accepted holy Baptism. After a conversation with Saint Spyridon, turning to his friends, the philosopher said: “Listen! While the competition with me was carried on by means of proofs, I put up against some proofs others and, with my art of arguing, reflected everything that was presented to me. But when, instead of evidence from the mind, some special power began to come out of the mouth of this elder, the evidence became powerless against it, since a person cannot resist God. If any of you can think in the same way as I do, then let him believe in Christ and, together with me, follow this elder, through whose mouth God Himself spoke.

At the same Council, St. Spyridon showed against the Arians a clear proof of Unity in the Holy Trinity. He took a brick in his hands and squeezed it: instantly fire went up from it, water flowed down, and the clay remained in the hands of the miracle worker. “These are the three elements, and the plinth (brick) is one,” Saint Spyridon said then, “so in the Most Holy Trinity there are Three Persons, and the Deity is One.”

The saint took care of his flock with great love. Through his prayer, the drought was replaced by abundant life-giving rain, and continuous rains - by a bucket. the sick were healed, demons cast out.

Once a woman came to him with a dead child in her arms, asking for the intercession of the saint. After praying, he brought the baby back to life. The mother, overwhelmed with joy, fell down lifeless. But the prayer of the saint of God brought life back to the mother.

Somehow, hurrying to save his friend, who had been slandered and sentenced to death, the saint was stopped on his way by a stream suddenly overflowing from a flood. The saint ordered the stream: “Stand! Thus the Lord of the whole world commands you, so that I may pass over and the husband, for whose sake I hasten, may be saved. The will of the saint was fulfilled. and he crossed safely to the other side. The judge, warned of the miracle that had taken place, met Saint Spyridon with honor and released his friend.

Such a case is known from the life of the saint. Once he went into an empty church, ordered the lampadas and candles to be lit, and began the service. Having proclaimed "Peace to all," he and the deacon heard in response from above a great multitude of voices, proclaiming: "And your spirit." This choir was great and sweeter than any human singing. At every litany, an invisible choir sang "Lord, have mercy." Attracted by the singing coming from the church, people who were nearby hurried to it. As they approached the church, wonderful singing filled their ears more and more and delighted their hearts. But when they entered the church, they saw no one but the bishop with a few church ministers, and no longer heard heavenly singing. from which they were greatly astonished.

Saint Simeon Metaphrastus, a description of his life. likened St. Spyridon to Patriarch Abraham in the virtue of hospitality. “One must also know how he received wanderers,” wrote Sozomen, who was close to monastic circles, citing an amazing example from the life of the saint in his Church History. Once, at the onset of Forty-cost, a stranger knocked at his house. Seeing that the traveler was very tired, Saint Spyridon said to his daughter: “Wash this man’s feet, and offer him something to eat.” But in view of fasting, the necessary supplies were not made, for the saint "ate food only on a certain day, and on others he remained without food." Therefore, the daughter replied that there was neither bread nor flour in the house. Then Saint Spyridon, having apologized to the guest, ordered his daughter to fry the salted pork meat that was in stock and. having seated the wanderer at the table, he began to eat, “persuading that person to imitate himself. When the latter, professing to be a Christian, refused, he added: "It is all the less necessary to refuse, for the Word of God has said: All is pure pure (Titus 1:15)."

Another story reported by Sozomen is also very characteristic of the saint: the saint had a custom of distributing one part of the harvested crop to the poor, and giving the other part to the needy on credit. He personally did not give anything, but simply showed the entrance to the pantry, where everyone could take as much as they needed, and then return it in the same way, without checking and reporting.

The story of Socrates Scholasticus is also known about how the thieves decided to steal the sheep of St. Spyridon: in the dead of night they climbed into the sheepfold, but immediately they were bound by an invisible force. When morning came, the saint came to the flock and, seeing the bound robbers, having prayed, he untied them and for a long time persuaded them to leave the lawless path and get food by honest labor. Then, giving them a sheep each and letting them go, he said affectionately: “Let it not be in vain that you were awake.”

Saint Spyridon is often likened to the prophet Elijah, for it was also through his prayer that during the droughts that often threatened the island of Cyprus, it rained: Once upon a time, the country suffered greatly from lack of rain and drought: there was a famine and a plague, and a lot of people died, but with the prayers of the saint, rain came down from heaven to earth: the people, having got rid of disaster, gratefully cry out: Rejoice, like the great prophet and the rain that takes away gladness and ailments, Thou hast brought down the timely.

The whole life of the saint is striking in its amazing simplicity and the power of wonderworking. given to him by the Lord. At the word of the saint, the dead were awakened, the elements were tamed, idols were crushed. When a Council was convened in Alexandria by the patriarch for the destruction of idols and temples, through the prayers of the fathers of the Council, all the idols fell down, except for one, the most revered. It was revealed to the patriarch in a vision that this idol was left in order to be crushed by St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky. Summoned by the Council, the saint boarded the ship, and at the moment when the ship landed on the shore and the saint set foot on the ground, the idol in Alexandria with all the altars fell into dust, than the

He informed the patriarch and all the bishops of the approach of St. Spyridon.

Saint Spyridon lived his earthly life in righteousness and holiness, and in prayer he gave his soul to the Lord (c. 348). In the history of the Church, St. Spyridon is venerated together with St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra.

His relics rest on the island of Corfu in the church of his name (except for the right hand, which is in Rome).

Prayer for money and prosperity

Spiridon of Trimifuntsky provided assistance to the afflicted who experienced material difficulties. Once a peasant came to the Saint for help, who could not buy grain to sow in the field. The saint prayed with him and ordered him to come the next day. When the peasant came again, Spyridon Trimifuntsky gave him a piece of gold with the condition that after the harvest was harvested, the money would be returned. The year turned out to be very fertile, which already seemed like a miracle, but when the tiller came to repay the debt, Spiridon of Trimifuntsky, taking gold, read a prayer and a piece of metal turned into a snake.

For the sake of the poor peasant, the saint performed a miracle, turning the animal into a material value. And today the Saint works miracles for everyone who is in a difficult financial situation. To ask Spiridon for help, you need to read him a prayer:

Ask us from Christ and our God a peaceful and serene life, healthy soul and body, the earth's prosperity and all abundance and prosperity in everything, and may we not turn the good, given to us from the generous God, but to His glory and glorification of your intercession!

Everyone has experienced financial hardship at least once in their life. Prayers can not only attract...

Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky is a great miracle worker, who, for his virtuous life, was promoted from a simple farmer to a bishop. This is a Personality, with a capital letter, whose holiness was undeniable even during His lifetime, and His miracles, which are performed to this day, surprising with their scale and beauty of the plot.

So who is this Saint Spyridon the Wonderworker? What miracles are associated with His name and why is He considered the defender of Orthodoxy? Why do they pray to Spiridon for housing and where is His miraculous image in Russia? All this is the topic of today's post. Well, and finally, already traditionally, a selection of prayers, and today it is dedicated to St. Spyridon.

The fact that Saint Spyridon is not like other saints becomes clear even at the first glance at the icon. The saints on the icons are mainly depicted - either with their heads uncovered, or in a mitre. Saint Spyridon is not just hair, and not in a mitre, but in a small cone-shaped shepherd's hat. The thing is that the saint was a shepherd for many years. Moreover, He was a family man, he had a wife and children. Spiridon was loved for his gentle and meek disposition, for always helping his neighbors and giving all his funds to the needs of the poor and needy. For this, the Lord gave the saint the gift of miracles.

To begin with, Saint Spyridon lived in that troubled time, when the Church, calmed down from oppression, was “sick” with false teachings and heresies. That era began to demand true defenders of the True Faith, apostolic fidelity and steadfastness. It was at this time that such Greatest Saints were born as: Nicholas of Myra the Wonderworker and Spyridon of Trimifuntsky the Wonderworker.

After the death of his wife, Saint Spyridon was elected Bishop of the Cypriot city of Trimifunta. Cypriot farmers were happy with this choice, because He was a simple man and in many ways similar to them. The inhabitants of the district acquired a kind and caring father in the person of Spiridon. In the event of a drought, through the prayer of the saint, it rained, through His prayers people were repeatedly resurrected, justice and peace reigned around. According to the word of the saint, the weather changed and, like the example with Elisha, the water element obeyed.

Once, Saint Spyridon, with his prayers, caused heavy rain, which washed away the granaries of a rich, merciless rich man, who, due to his stinginess, sold bread at incredibly high prices during a drought.

Once, a simple farmer came to the Saint with a request to lend money. Spiridon ordered the farmer to go home, and in the morning he himself brought an ingot of gold. The farmer was incredibly happy about this, his affairs improved, and soon he brought Spyridon the debt he had previously occupied.

“Let's go, brother, now let's pay tribute to the One Who so generously gave the loan,” said the Saint.

Spiridon in prayer began to ask the Lord that the gold would regain its original form. The piece of gold hissed, writhed, and turned into a snake.

It should be noted that the description of Spiridon's life is not complete, one might even say it consists of fragments, but even those that remain admire the power of force, the unusual plot and are an example of the greatest miracle - philanthropy.

The most famous plot from the life of the saint, which is often depicted on icons, is the “accident with a brick”.

Let me explain the plot:

In the year 325, St. Spyridon takes part in the Nicene Council, where he miraculously refutes the heresy of Arius, who rejected the holiness of Jesus Christ. All those gathered understand that the Lord Himself spoke through the lips of the saint, and as proof of this, Spyridon brilliantly proves to the Hagarians the Unity of the Holy Trinity. He took a brick and squeezed it: instantly water flowed out of it and fire soared up, and the clay remained in his hands. Three hypostases in one Trinity - this explanation of Spiridon has become more eloquent than any words.

“When, instead of evidence from the mind, some special force began to come out of the mouth of this elder, the evidence became powerless against it ... God Himself spoke through his mouth.” The philosopher is an eyewitness.

Saint Spyridon has great boldness towards God: through His prayer, people are healed and resurrected from the dead (in a word, but resurrection through prayer is a rather rare case in the life of the saints).

To prove these words:

A woman comes to Spiridon, full of tears with a dead child in her arms. The saint, praying to God, resurrected the baby. Shocked by what she saw, the woman fell lifeless, and already at the second prayer of Spiridon, she is also resurrected.

“The woman got up, as if waking up from a dream, and took the revived child in her arms.”

The case of how St. Spyridon entered an empty church and began to celebrate Divine service is widely known. People nearby were surprised by the angelic sounds coming from the church. But when they entered, they did not see anyone except the Bishop and a few servants of the temple. Another similar case has come down to our days, when, through the prayer of the saint, empty lamps began to be filled with oil.

Saint Spyridon tried to lead people to repentance, to change their sinful way of life. For example, there is a case when thieves decided to steal sheep from Spiridon. Having climbed into the sheepfold, they could not get out of it until the morning, and the Saint admonished them in the morning, discouraging them from going down the criminal path, then he forgave them and even, finally, gave each a sheep, saying: “Let you not stay awake in vain” .

Another case is known when a greedy merchant, knowing that the saint trusts people and does not count money, decided to deceive and not pay Spiridon for one goat. Having counted 100 goats, the merchant began to take them out of the pen, but no matter how hard he tried, one of the goats ran away and came back. The stingy merchant saw in this case his sin and repented to the Saint of his intention to hide money from him.

There are other lifetime wonders that you, my dear blog readers, can easily find for yourself. I wanted to move on to the second part of the post.

Miracles through prayers to St. Spyridon and how the saint helps

The imperishable relics of St. Spyridon are located on the Greek island of Corfu (Kerkyra), where many believers come to venerate the relics of the saint. In a word, this is the only island in the Ionian Sea that did not fall under the yoke of the Turks, and so the saint protects his island.

An interesting fact is that the imperishable relics of Spyridon are well preserved and the features of the saint are very recognizable: white teeth, hair, skin is perfectly preserved, although it has darkened a little and then recently, namely at the end of the 17th century, after the so-called reform of Patriarch Nikon. As the clergy say: "It is evident that the saint did not like it."

Another surprising fact is that the body is soft and its temperature is constant: 36.6 degrees, like that of a living person. Scientists cannot explain the phenomenon of the imperishable relics of Spiridon, despite their numerous studies.

It is a miracle that Saint Spyridon to this day does not stop “wandering”, helping those who turn to Him in prayer. Proof of "walking" are the velvet shoes of the saint, worn to holes, which are changed twice a year and handed over to believers as a shrine.

Cancer Spiridon is closed with two locks that must be opened and closed at the same time. Two people need to open the box. And if the cancer does not open, the ministers know that at this time the saint walks the earth and helps people.

By the way, the saint’s shrine is opened only for the Orthodox, however, particles of the saint’s velvet shoes are also distributed only to the Orthodox.

Why is Spiridon considered the "Defender of Orthodoxy"?

Saint Spyridon never ceases to testify to the true faith. In 1719, the ruler of the Venetian fleet, Andrea Pisani, and some other Catholics decided to arrange a Catholic altar in the Orthodox church of St. Spyridon, about which he asked the clergy of the temple. Having received a firm refusal, Andrea decided not to accept it and act violently and contrary to the ban. Orthodox priests turned to the saint for help.

On the first night, Spiridon comes to Pisani in a dream demanding to abandon his intention: “Why are you bothering me? The altar of your faith is not befitting to have in my temple.”

The frightened ruler rushed to his adviser for advice, and he assured that these were just tricks of the devil.

Having calmed down, Pisani began to order materials for the construction of the altar. Orthodox priests began to pray even more to the saint with a request for protection from Catholics.

“I asked you not to disturb me. If you dare to proceed with the fulfillment of your plan, you will be very sorry, but then it will be too late, ”Spyridon said to the ruler of Pisani in the second dream.

Andre did not listen to the saint for the second time, but again he listened to his adviser.

But his plans were not destined to come true.

On the night of November 12, a terrible storm arose. Thunder and lightning shook the city. At midnight, a wanderer in monastic robes approached the gates of Fort Castelli. To the question: "Who's coming?" the guard heard: "It's me, Saint Spyridon." At the same moment, three flames erupted from the bell tower of the church and hit the gunpowder warehouse. Nine hundred Catholics were killed, and the body of Admiral Pisani was found dead with his neck between two logs. Councilor's body found dead in a sewer pit outside the tower. Not a single Orthodox was harmed. The guard of the Fort, who communicated with the saint, did not suffer either. And in the temple of St. Spyridon, a silver lamp, donated to the temple by Andre, fell and received a dent. You can look at him even now, he weighs like a dumb witness to an old tragedy.

Through the prayers of Spiridon, countless miracles are performed. He helps those in need in many ways.

“Would you pray to St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky, and you would have been with housing for a long time” John Krestyankin

They mostly pray to Spiridon in search of and. I will not give examples of cases of the saint's help in the housing issue, since there are a great many of them.

In addition to housing problems, they pray to Spiridon of Trimifuntsky:

About health and healing, on the road, when oppressed by enemies and for faith, from the loss of livestock, for prosperity in the house, for success, in the house, for, with hunger, spiritual infirmities and domestic needs.

Miraculous image with part of the relics of St. Spyridon in Russia

This wonderful and unusual image is located in Moscow, in Bryusov Lane, house 15/2 (200 meters from Tverskaya) in the Church of the Resurrection of the Word on Uspensky Vrazhek.

The temple was built in 1634 and there are three shrines in it:

  • Ancient icon of Nicholas the Wonderworker (Nikola Mozhaisky);
  • The miraculous icon "Search for the Lost" (St. Justin the Philosopher);
  • Miraculous icon of Spyridon Trimifuntsky with relics.

The icon of Spyridon is unusual, with a small metal door (the ark with the relics of the saint). There are witnesses that by prayer to the saint (the icon is behind glass, so draft is excluded) the door opens and closes by itself.

It is said that this icon is very much prayed for, and many miracles happen through prayer in front of it. There is also a documentary on the subject.

Prayers to St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky

Prayer one

O great and marvelous saint of Christ and the wonderworker Spiridon, Corfu praise, the whole universe is the brightest lamp, warm to God in prayer and to all those who come running to you and pray with faith, a quick intercessor! You have most gloriously explained the Orthodox faith at the Nicestem Council among the fathers, you have shown the Unity of the Holy Trinity with miraculous power and shamed the heretics to the end. Hear us sinners, the saint of Christ, praying to you and by your strong intercession with the Lord, deliver us from every evil situation: from famine, flood, fire and deadly ulcers. For in your temporary life, you delivered your people from all these disasters: you saved your country from the invasion of the Agarians and from gladness your country, you saved the king from an incurable illness, and you brought many sinners to repentance, you gloriously resurrected the dead, for the holiness of your life Angels, singing and serving you invisibly in the church, thou hadt. Ikos 7

We see a new miracle, a divine one: when you, father, marched to deliver the innocent condemned to death, a stormy stream blocked your path; you, in the name of the Almighty God, commanded him to stand and you passed from the satellites across the river, as if on dry land. The glory of this miracle will spread everywhere, and all will glorify God, crying out to you:

Kondak 9

You were illumined by the Spirit of the Divine radiance, Saint Spiridon, you had the spirit of wisdom, as if you were wise with the words of the insane, and among the fathers you affirmed the faith, the spirit of reason, as you illuminated the minds of the darkened; the spirit of the fear of God, as if you had cleansed your soul by making it pleasing to God. Meanwhile, presenting yourself to the Throne of the Most High, with a host of Angels you sing to Him: Alleluia.

Ikos 9

The rod of the shepherd of verbal sheep received from the Shepherd of the Lord Jesus, Saint Spyridon does not change his life: he is not acquisitive, meek, endure love for the sake of everything, do not be ashamed of the flock of dumb sheep. All this excites us to praise God and cry out to you:

Rejoice, contemptible glory of this world, like a vain one;

Rejoice, thou who didst receive many rewards in Heaven.

Rejoice, red of this world in the mind of a sane person;

rejoice, vessel of heavenly blessings.

Rejoice, most holy one, live the Cypriots;

rejoice, for for the sake of God your sheep are bound by invisible ties.

Rejoice, thou who didst teach fatherly admonition;

Rejoice, by your mercy, for the night spent without sleep, you gave them a ram.

Rejoice, by the disobedience of the goat, as if the mind of the possessor, the merchant, who concealed his price, is convicting;

Rejoice, thou who hast hidden thy pieces of silver to repentance.

Rejoice, for thou hast healed him with thy exhortation of the passion of covetousness.

Rejoice, Spiridon, wonderful miracle worker.

Kondak 10

Rejoice, for thou hast turned away thy disciple Trifillius from addiction to earthly goods and made thou a vessel of the grace of God;

rejoice, as I will come to you in Alexandria, the idol of the fall.

Rejoice, even demons obey him;

Rejoice, for thou hast turned away many from idolatry.

Rejoice, Spiridon, wonderful miracle worker.

Kondak 11

Angelic singing was always, when in the temple you brought, to St. Spiridon, your evening prayers, and those who serve you do not besha. The inhabitants of the city, having heard the wondrous singing, entered the temple and, having seen no one, sang with the Higher forces: Alleluia.

Ikos 11

The luminous sun of the world, the interlocutor of the Angels was on earth, Saint Spiridon; betraying your spirit in the hands of God, thou hast settled in the Mountainous village, praying for peace before the Throne of the Lord. But we, who live on earth, cry out to you:

Ikos 12

We sing to you, the saint of God, as if you surprised the world with miracles flowing from your holy relics. All who come in faith and kiss them receive all the good things they ask. And we, who gave you strength, crowned you with the crown of incorruption, and glorifies God who works through you, we cry to you:

Rejoice, blind, with faith flowing to your holy relics, bestowing sight.

Rejoice, healer from the incurable illness of the lad;

Rejoice, you cast out the demon from your wife and made her healthy.

Rejoice, exiled governor of Kerkyra;

Rejoice, for thou hast expelled the hordes of the wicked Hagarites, and thou hast sank their ships in the abyss.

Rejoice, having seen him surrounded by a host of angels, holding a sword in his right hand and bringing enemies into awe;

rejoice, create a temple for yourself, in a hedgehog to celebrate the liturgy in it on unleavened bread, forbidding the governor.

Rejoice, thou who struck the governor of the Latin with fierce death;

Rejoice, having burned his image in a house in Venice with lightning.

Rejoice, shameful apostasy and false wisdom of the West;

Rejoice, affirming the one Orthodox faith to be true and saving for people.

Rejoice, Spiridon, wonderful miracle worker.

Kondak 13

Good afternoon! My name is Irina.
I want to tell you about the help of the great Saint Spyridon Trimifuntsky to me.
For several years we tried to sell the apartment for which we paid the mortgage. The apartment remained in another city, and we lived in Moscow. it was hard: I was alone, with a child, without help from other people. I earned little, and I had to constantly earn extra money to make ends meet. I had to take another credit card, but in the end it only added extra costs.
The apartment was sold for a long time. Since it is a mortgage, many potential buyers turned around and left. This burden (to live in Moscow and pay for a mortgage apartment in another city) dragged on for a total of 4 years.
In the third year of my life in Moscow, I came across information about Father Spiridon Trimifuntsky, and I remembered that I had already heard about him from a woman whom he helped solve her housing problem. Then this story seemed to me a fairy tale, I was surprised, admired and forgot. Now I decided to ask the saint to help me.
In February, my daughter read an akathist to Father Spiridon for 40 days, asked to help solve the problem with the apartment. Spring passed, summer came, but nothing changed. I thought that the saint did not hear us. In June, the landlady of the apartment we were renting said that she was selling the apartment, and we urgently need to look for another one. It was like a bolt from the blue. The time of the move was right, but the apartment was not located: we needed it in this area (my daughter went to school), for little money and without a deposit, in good condition with furniture. Were either expensive, or broken, or far from the school. And so, when a week was already left before the deadline to move out of the apartment, I "accidentally" (later I realized that it was not accidental) I saw an advertisement for renting an apartment in the house in which we lived. I called, it turned out that they rented an apartment in our entrance, one floor above. And the apartment met absolutely all the requirements! We happily moved. Later I realized that it was Father Spiridon who helped the Lord with his prayers for us.
Time passed, and I again decided to read the akathist to Father Spiridon, to ask him for help: the apartment was still for sale, but we still lived on a rented house and could barely make ends meet. This time I read alone. It was in autumn. The New Year has come, and we are waiting for a miracle with hope.
A miracle came in January in the form of the mistress of our apartment: my grandmother is over 70, and she did everything as her daughter would say. And my daughter wanted money. Therefore, the hostess announced that she herself was moving into this apartment from February 1, “wherever you want, but so that you are not here” (of course, the apartment was simply rented out more expensive, with a large deposit - it is clear that she would not have received this money from us ). We were warned 10 days in advance. During this time, we again needed to find an apartment with all the previous requirements. Views of apartments began again, and when the hope began to melt, an apartment was found with excellent owners, freshly renovated and for reasonable money. Again, Father Spiridon heard me, and helped me at a critical moment! Thanks God! Wonderful God in His Saints!
But in the meantime, the mortgage was being paid and the apartment was being sold... the main problem remained unresolved. I prayed to Spiridon, went to the temple in Bryusov Lane in Moscow - there are always people who turn to the Saint for help, and I was among them.
In June, they called me and said that there is a buyer for the apartment. We talked with the buyer on the phone and agreed to conclude a contract on a deposit for a month. In a month, we will either settle all the issues and make a deal, or not. I tried to think that everything would work out, continued to go to the temple and read a prayer to Spiridon.
In July, she arrived to settle the formalities, the deal was supposed to take place on Friday, but fell through. I learned that in this city (the city of Engels, Saratov region) a temple was built to Spiridon of Trimifuntsky. I went there over the weekend, defended my service, and on Monday the deal was successfully completed. The apartment has been sold!! paid off all debts! I even straightened my shoulders and straightened my back!) Truly, God is wondrous in his saints!
Dear believers! Do not doubt the help of the Holy Father Spyridon of Trimifuntsky! He listens to everyone and helps. As one person said, saints are not an army of wizards. Remember that in order to perform a miracle, you yourself need to try: read a prayer, try to become better yourself, and do not forget to thank. Thank those people who suddenly appear and help you, and then your paths diverge (they were sent by the Lord); thank the Saint whom you asked for help - imagine how many people ask him for help, and he heard and helped you too; to thank the Lord for mercy to you and for the fact that He gave the world His Saints and Helps us, people, through their prayers for us, and in this also Shows His love for us. After all, if we always felt good and comfortable, how would we know that the Lord Hears and Loves us?
I believe that Father Spiridon hears all prayers and helps. And I know, I see by my own example, that he shows miracles of help in difficult housing issues. I tell all my friends and you too.
Thank God for everything!
