Is it possible to go to the club on Easter? Is it possible to go to the cemetery in fasting before Easter, the rules of the Orthodox Church. Is it possible to go to the cemetery in fasting before Easter: rules of behavior in the cemetery

A bright holiday is approaching - the day of the Resurrection of Christ. Many will surely gather to attend the church service on Easter - together with their children, relatives and friends ... But how many of us know exactly how the Easter service is held? We will tell you what and how to do while in a temple or church...

So Holy Week has come, there are only a few days left before the Bright Resurrection of Christ ... According to tradition, on Holy Thursday morning, believers bake Easter cakes and paint eggs, cook Easter in the evening, and on Saturday they bring them to church - to consecrate. And on the night from Saturday to Sunday - the bright holiday of Easter begins ...

So, original, bright, whimsical, and on the night from Saturday to Sunday, many believers go to the procession - a service that marks the beginning of Easter and the feast of the Resurrection of Christ. But not many are familiar with all church rules. We will help you figure out how to behave in church during the Easter service and what to do.

Easter is the main Christian holiday, which marks the victory of good over evil, life over death. The Easter holiday precedes - the time of liberation from sins, passions, addictions. For this, abstinence in food, in entertainment, in emotions is prescribed. But even if you have not fasted, feel free to go to the temple and celebrate the Bright Resurrection of Christ. According to tradition, on Holy Saturday, believers bring Easter cakes, colored eggs and other products for the Easter table to the church to bless them.

And on the night from Saturday to Sunday, a festive night service is performed in the churches, which usually begins at about eleven in the evening and lasts until three or four in the morning:

  • 1 In the evening (on Great Saturday), the Acts of the Holy Apostles are read in the church, containing testimony in the Resurrection of Christ, after which the Paschal Midnight Office follows with the canon of Great Saturday. The beginning of Paschal Matins is preceded by a solemn procession around the church, which follows the sun (counterclockwise), which symbolizes following towards the risen Savior. During the singing of the second half of the troparion of Pascha, “And giving life to those in the tombs,” the church doors open, the clergy and those praying enter the temple.
  • 2 At the end of Matins, while singing the words of the Pascha sticheron: “Let us embrace each other, brethren! And we will forgive those who hate us all by the resurrection,” believers say to each other, “Christ is risen!” - answer "Truly risen!". Kissing three times and giving each other Easter eggs is better not in the temple, but after the service, so as not to be distracted from prayers and not provoke a crowd.
  • 3 Then Matins passes into the Divine Liturgy, the faithful partake of the Body and Blood of Christ. If you want to take communion, then you must confess in advance and receive the blessing of the priest.

Visiting a temple or church on the day of the Resurrection of Christ, especially during the Easter service, is an obligatory "item" of the holiday for every believer ...

Now a little about the general rules of conduct in the temple, which you should follow so as not to feel like a black sheep and not embarrass other (more knowledgeable in church affairs) believers in the temple:

  • clothing must be clean and neat. Women should wear a skirt or dress, with the sleeves at least to the elbow and the hem of the skirt to the knee or below. In Russia, it is customary that all girls and women cover their heads - and it does not matter, with a scarf, hat, cap or beret. Avoid plunging necklines and sheer fabrics. The use of cosmetics is not forbidden within reasonable limits, but it is better not to paint the lips so that when kissing the icons and the cross during the Easter service, they do not leave marks.
  • there is such the myth that females should not attend church on critical days, but it's not. These days you can go to the temple, you can light candles and submit notes, you can kiss icons, but it is better to refrain from participating in the sacraments (communion, baptism, wedding, etc.), however, this is not a strict rule. In the event that a piquant physiological moment wedged into your plans, just consult with the priest - it's a matter of life, there's nothing wrong with that. And for sure - a woman can attend the Easter service,
  • entering the church you need to cross yourself three times with waist bows(with three fingers and only with your right hand, even if you are left-handed). It is necessary to be baptized by removing gloves or mittens. Men should take off their hats when entering an Orthodox church.
  • during Easter service(as during any other church service) you can’t talk loudly, use a mobile phone and push those praying at the icons - when the service is over, you can pray and light candles at the images, as well as submit notes about health and repose. Out of reverence, it is not customary to kiss the faces of the saints depicted on the icons.
  • during worship you can't stand with your back to the altar. All women and men who have not received blessings are forbidden to enter the altar.
  • if you take children with you to the service, explain to them that in church you can’t run, play pranks and laugh. If the child is crying, try to calm him down so as not to disturb the common prayer during the Easter service, or leave the temple for a while until the baby calms down.
  • light candles for the repose and for health you need in different places: for the health of the living - in front of the icons of the saints, for the repose of the dead - on the requiem table (a square candlestick with a crucifix), which is called "eve". Notes on health and repose are given to the servants on a candle box, after which they are transferred to the priest at the altar. These commemorations do not include the names of people of other faiths, suicides and unbaptized people.
  • when a priest overshadows you with a cross during the Easter service, the gospel and the image, one must bow. It is necessary to be baptized with the words “Lord, have mercy”, “In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit”, “Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” and other exclamations.
  • if you want to ask anything, first turn to the priest with the words “Batiushka, bless!”, And then ask a question. When accepting the blessing, fold your palms crosswise (palms up, right to left) and kiss the right, blessing you, hand of the clergyman.
  • leaving the temple at the end of the Easter service, cross yourself three times, make three waist bows when leaving the church and when leaving the church gate, turning to face the church.

We hope that these elementary, but very important rules will help you feel more confident in an Orthodox church on any day, and during the Easter service in particular.

We thank the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate for their help in writing this article.

Easter is one of the most important Orthodox holidays. It is a symbol of rebirth and victory over death. On this holiday, Great Lent is observed, thanks to which a person is cleansed spiritually. Before the holiday, a tradition has been preserved to clean the graves of the dead.

Since ancient times, it was believed that you can visit the cemetery absolutely on any day. It is impossible only when there are church-Orthodox holidays on the calendar. If a person wants to commemorate a loved one who has long been dead, it is best to do this in the afternoon, the Wordyou website reports. Although it is not forbidden in the church to remember the dead after 12 days.

When they clean the cemetery before Easter, is it possible to go to the cemetery before Easter: signs and traditions

Easter is one of the brightest holidays celebrated in different countries. Regardless of creed. The church charter appointed "Parents' Saturday". These days, various services are held in churches for the repose of those people who have long been gone from this world.

On "Parents Saturday" it is customary to visit the cemetery and clean the graves, put them in order. You can plant flowers, paint the fence. Before Easter, during Great Lent, three Parental Saturdays are established. They fall on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th day before Easter. If a person adheres to Orthodox cans, then these days are considered the best for visiting the cemetery and cleaning the graves.

If a person works these days, or Easter falls in the early period, the snow has not melted, then it is advised to clean the grave on Saturday before Palm Sunday. After cleaning, be sure to remove garbage from the grave, you can not talk on the phone, take branches, flowers with you. As soon as you come home, you are advised to wash your hands well with soap and water.

When they clean the cemetery before Easter, is it possible to go to the cemetery before Easter: when you can’t visit the cemetery

On Holy Week, on Easter itself, you cannot visit the cemetery, also according to Church laws, it is advisable not to go to the grave for 8 days after Easter. On the 9th day after Easter, people go to the cemetery and commemorate people who have long been dead. This day is considered Radonitsa.

It is worth visiting the cemetery, remembering relatives, praying for their peace of mind and the Kingdom of Heaven. Hello, father! Happy Holidays to you! Tell me, please, is it possible to do household chores during the Easter week and lead an intimate life? I heard that on Easter and in the first three days you can’t do this, but then you can, is that so? Tell me please. Thank you.

Natalia

Hello Natalia! During the Bright Week, you can do everyday or urgent household chores. It is better to leave some global affairs for later. The issue of intimate relationships is decided by the spouses jointly, according to the words of the Apostle Paul: "Do not turn away from each other, except by agreement, for a while, for exercise in fasting and prayer, and then be together again, so that Satan does not tempt you with your intemperance" (1 Corinthians 7:5). But in general, it is advisable to refrain from marital relations until the end of Bright Week.

Priest Vladimir Shlykov

Hello! Help me, please, in my situation. Tell me how to act in relation to people close to me and save myself? I am a believer, I pray, I go to church, I try to observe fasts. There was a conflict in my family. My brother invited the whole family to the birthday of the child, he turns three years old in a cafe. He works very hard and wants everyone to be happy. But the birthday falls on Holy Week, on Wednesday. My mom is upset and doesn't want to go. I understand that going to a cafe on Holy Week is a big sin, my soul hurts, I worry about relatives who quarreled. I understand and support my mother, and I understand my brother (he plans to hold a very modest event, no frills): he is young and does not quite understand the meaning of Holy Week. How to do it right?

Svetlana

Svetlana, try to do the following: prepare a small treat at home for the narrowest circle of relatives and tell your brother to arrange a dinner in a cafe for friends and acquaintances, and when the whole official part is over, you and your mother will be waiting for him at the table at home.

hegumen Nikon (Golovko)

Hello! Tell me, when is it possible and when not to do household chores during Holy Week (cleaning, washing, washing)? There are several opinions, all my friends agree on what can be done on Monday, Tuesday and definitely not on Friday, but about the rest of the days, the opinions are completely opposite: some say that Thursday is a day for cleaning, others that in no case you can’t do things on Thursday, but you can do everything on Saturday (after the service). Is it possible to clearly and specifically name the days when it is possible to clean up (at the end of the service in the Temple), and when it is undesirable?

Tatyana

Tatyana, pay more attention to your soul. For Easter, you need to prepare spiritually - confess, take communion. There are no strict rules regarding when you can and cannot clean. You watch at the time that is most convenient for you. We usually start cleaning churches, our homes, church grounds and homes from Maundy Thursday. But there is no need to give it a global significance. When it's convenient for you, then clean your house.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

Hello, father, tell me, please. The husband suggests that the family make a long trip to relatives in his car from May 1 to May 5, 10 hours one way. We rarely travel with the whole family, the children study, we have work. I am worried that the trip falls on holidays, May 5 is the feast of the holy Easter, and we have a way back. Can't reschedule your trip or cancel?

Nina

Hello Nina! If visiting relatives you manage to piously spend Holy Week and meet Easter, pray at the Easter Liturgy, then you can go. Otherwise, I would advise staying at home.

Priest Vladimir Shlykov

Hello! July 1 is my husband's grandmother's birthday, 90 years old, and 3 years since the death of her husband's family. Please tell me, is it possible to make a wake and celebrate a birthday on the same day?

Elena

Elena, there are no definite rules on this matter in the Church. The dead should be prayed for on this day. Birthday is a joyful event, a person was born and, as a rule, people have fun. I believe that, for ethical reasons, it is not good to have a commemoration and celebrate a birthday on the same day. We need to separate these two events. Say, first celebrate the wake, and then, even the next day, celebrate your birthday.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

Hello, fathers! Thank you for your work, for your answers, it’s not always possible to ask at confession, but it’s not convenient to somehow distract the priest in the temple, and you help us sinners very, very much! Last week, on Wednesday, on the day of the Standing of Mary of Egypt, I could not be in the temple because of the workload, I read the Canon of St. A. Kritsky herself, but it turned out that I did not read all of it in the evening, but read part of it in the morning (in transport) and in the evening (in transport and at home), I am embarrassed by reading in transport, although I read with attention, is it not a sin and is it necessary to confessions to mention it? And another question, at work they ask me to go with the team to a demonstration on May 1, just to walk for numbers, I don’t want to (Holy Week), but in order not to let the leadership down, apparently, I will have to go, would it not be a sin to participate in this procession without any slogans, etc.

Svetlana

Svetlana, regarding the reading of the canon, I will say that if the soul is embarrassed, then it is better to tell about it in confession and get rid of embarrassment. Of course, it is better to pray at least in this way than not to pray at all, but, of course, there is also an appropriate time and environment for prayer. And if I were you, I would try not to go to the demonstration, nothing, the authorities will tolerate it. I'm pretty sure you won't be the only one.

hegumen Nikon (Golovko)

My birthday coincided with Easter. Can I celebrate my birthday?

Dasha

Dasha, you are very lucky this year. Celebrating your birthday on Easter is very good. You will have a double holiday.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

Is it possible to make a commemoration, 9 days fall on Palm Sunday? Thank you.

Svetlana

Svetlana, first of all, you need to pray for the deceased. The 9th day is important for the soul of the deceased. Therefore, on the 9th day, you must definitely pray for him. In the church on this day, April 28, you need to pray for the Liturgy, and at the end of the service, order a memorial service, and attend the memorial service yourself. The memorial meal can be celebrated on April 28, but you need to remember that Great Strict Lent is now underway, and meat, dairy products and eggs cannot be eaten at the meal. Since April 28 is Palm Sunday, you can eat fish at the memorial meal. The rest of the commemoration should be strictly Lenten and very modest.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

Hello! Tell me please. I keep a strict fast. My birthday falls on this post, April 24th. Tell me, are there any indulgences in food and drinks? I would not want to postpone the celebration, because the fast lasts until May.

Darius

Hello Daria! The charter does not provide for relaxation of fasting for a birthday. I would advise you to celebrate your birthday on Palm Sunday, when the eating of fish is allowed.

Priest Vladimir Shlykov

Hello, father. Tell me, please, my birthday is April 7, and on this day there is a big holiday, the Annunciation. Can I celebrate my birthday on this day, invite friends, go to the forest for barbecue and, in general, celebrate on this day? Because they say that nothing can be done on this holiday, and you can’t go home. But this is my birthday, and I always wanted to celebrate on this day, and not transfer to other days. Thank you.

Natalia

Natalia, let's start with the fact that Great Lent is now underway. What can be now kebabs? You can't eat meat now. You can fish on the Annunciation, but no entertainment. If you want to celebrate your birthday on this day, then do it as modestly as possible, without music and with a fasting table. If this does not suit you, then it is better that you do not sin before God, postpone your birthday, celebrate it after Easter.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

Hello! Is it possible to celebrate the birthday of a child (1 year old) in advance?

Elena

Elena, if you want to celebrate your birthday, then you need to remember that now there is a strict fast, and you can celebrate your birthday, but strictly according to Lenten. You can not eat meat, dairy, fish products and eggs, and, of course, any fun should be strictly limited. You can celebrate your birthday earlier.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

Hello, father! My birthday is May 4, falls on Good Saturday, they say that you can’t celebrate! What do i do?

Ekaterina

Ekaterina, why would you celebrate your birthday on Holy Saturday, this is a strict fast, when you can’t eat almost anything, only strictly fast food. On this day, the church sings "Let all human flesh be silent," that is, one cannot celebrate a birthday on this day. This is the day of preparation for the Great Feast of Holy Pascha. We consecrate Easter cakes, eggs. The best thing is to celebrate your birthday on Easter, May 5th. You will have a doubly holiday, and do not sin before God. On Easter, you can have any products, and have fun, and celebrate in the restaurant.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

My husband will soon be 40 years old, can I congratulate him on his birthday?

Love

Lyudmila, we can wish happy birthdays to our loved ones, but it’s not always possible to celebrate a birthday. And the point here is not at all in superstition, which, as I understand it, you mean. It’s just that Great Lent is underway now, and there shouldn’t be any amusements. You can celebrate a birthday, but it should be modest, and should be celebrated on Sunday. You also need to remember that during fasting you can not eat meat, dairy, fish products and eggs.

Hieromonk Viktorin (Aseev)

Good afternoon, holy father! I have a question, a great post is coming soon, I am a military man, an officer, I serve in the mountains of Dagestan, March 20 is my birthday. I am now in Kislovodsk and I talked with the priest, he said that you can celebrate your birthday, but I didn’t understand, what can I do? Eat, drink or just call friends? And yet, my wife and I have problems conceiving a child, we try every month, but it doesn’t work. I am married a second time, I have a daughter from my first marriage, and now my wife is very upset about this. I wanted to know if we can try to conceive a child in fasting? Thanks in advance!

Sergey

Sergey, you can celebrate as you usually did - by inviting friends, having a meal. Since you talked with the priest, I think that you are a Christian, and you will not forget that when celebrating Great Lent, we remember moderation (in the sense of eating and drinking). Marriage fasting depends on how you and your wife agreed to fast. If you usually do not enter into this fellowship by fasting, then you do not need to make an exception for conceiving a child; and if you do not observe the marital fast so strictly, then surrender to the will of God, asking to grant you a child. God bless your family.

Priest Sergiy Osipov

Hello. I recently started to become a church member, and I want to do as little sin as possible, and the question is: is it a sin if a person for friends on holidays (for example, a birthday or a new year) arranges a fun show with humorous scenes, as well as dressing up in costumes of Baba Yaga, Santa Claus, devil, etc. Moreover, my friends, as it were, are already waiting for some kind of performance from me for the holiday, so that it would not be boring. I try to cheer up in this way, not because of some malicious intent, but from the bottom of my heart. At the same time, I think that the holiday does not have to be held together at the table and drinking, but it can be spent soberly, but at the same time have fun, participate in competitions and laugh at the skits together. Only one thing worries, is what I do pleasing to the Lord, or is it considered a sin?

Andrei

Andrey, to amuse your friends in moderation is a good thing, but let's better without "evil spirits". It is not for nothing that you have a question about this, you yourself already feel something. And if so, then there is no need for demonic characters in the house! In general, I agree with you one hundred percent: we have so many wonderful holiday and drinking games, traditions that help keep the mind in good shape, learn something new, and just have fun without sin, what to look at stupid gluttony and drunkenness just boring. And loto, and word games, and quizzes, and crossword puzzles, and recitation of poems, and songs, and the very tradition of "skits" - anything! Plant, plant your good rules! Let your home be the home of educated, intelligent and appreciating good humor friends!

Saturday, which comes in Holy Week before Easter, is a special day. Therefore, they are often interested in the question: what can and cannot be done on the Saturday before Easter?

A detailed response and first-hand comments from the clergy are presented below.

You can start the discussion with what kind of Saturday comes before Bright Sunday. Interestingly, this day has several names at once:

  1. Great.
  2. Passionate.
  3. Dyeing.
  4. Quiet.

The main name is due to the fact that Saturday is the last day of Holy Week. These days were the last in the earthly life of Jesus Christ.

On Good Friday, the Savior was crucified, and all Saturday his body lay in the tomb. And the grief of loved ones at the tomb of Christ was very heavy, because hardly anyone hoped that he would rise again.

That is why Great (Holy) Saturday is a very dramatic day. And therefore it is undesirable:

  • make any fun
  • go to parties,
  • sing dance,
  • organization of some celebrations (wedding, birthday, etc.)
  • indulge in carnal pleasures.

In this regard, the Sabbath day is also called quiet - it is really better for believers to refrain from worldly noise.

It is also better to give up work in the garden, hunting and fishing.

What not to do on Great Saturday before Easter

It is good to feel the atmosphere of Great Saturday, to learn a brief history of what lies in the traditions of this day, and what it means. Then it will become clear what exactly should not be done in such dramatic hours.

First of all, this is a day in which you need to try to restrain all earthly passions. It is unacceptable to swear, especially to swear and get annoyed in general.

So, it is better to leave all the clarification of the relationship for later. After all, Easter is coming, and it's time to tune in to the bright waves of the holiday.

If possible, it is better not to devote time to fun parties, to postpone the celebration of any dates. It is undesirable to do housework, hard work. It is better to plan your time in such a way in order to fulfill routine duties before the mournful hour.

Of course, there is no need to laugh, unrestrainedly have fun on Saturday before Easter. After all, we certainly would not do this in the days of memory of our loved ones. And if we are talking about the fact that a good half of humanity remembers the suffering and death of Jesus Christ, it is clear that this only increases our responsibility.

What to do on Holy Saturday before Easter

Since we are talking about the fact that on this day believers especially commemorate Christ, it is important to pay sufficient attention to their spiritual life. It would be right to attend a church service that starts early in the morning and continues throughout the day. Moreover, in the evening it turns into an all-night service, and then Bright Sunday comes.

And among the people, Saturday is also called Dyeing (or Red), since the hostesses are completing the last preparations for Easter. Eggs are dyed in the house, Easter cakes are baked, boiled pork is baked. Although it is traditionally customary to finish all household work on (cleaning the house, washing), the church does not prohibit doing business on the Sabbath.

Of course, on such a day you can read the Bible, pray, do good deeds, help those in need. Here you can focus on your inner voice. Perhaps someone has long needed your attention - then you should visit the person and help him as much as possible.

It would be useful to ask for forgiveness and forgive other people yourself. After all, by doing even the smallest things, we really change the world for the better and fill it with joy.

What can you eat on Good Saturday in Lent

And you can also take care of tomorrow's celebrations - traditionally, housewives begin to collect Easter baskets in order to consecrate festive food in the church. In this regard, the question arises: what do they eat on the Saturday before Easter?

In fact, this is the last day of Lent, so it is better to try to withstand the restrictions. In addition, there is not long to endure - tomorrow you can eat any dish.

And on Saturday itself, you can be content with only this menu:

  • bread (not rich);
  • fruits and vegetables in any form;
  • water.

Great Saturday is the last day of Great Lent, and it is very strict (bread and water). And if we talk about when the Sabbath meal is allowed before Easter, then only after the end of the vigil in the temple. In fact, Great Lent ends on Sunday: after the service, believers solemnly say: “Christ is risen! He has truly risen!"

And then you can already taste pastas, eggs and other food. After that, the parishioners go home, rest and go to bed. But the real Easter holiday comes a few hours after Easter night - and it lasts at least a week.

Folk signs and beliefs on Holy Saturday

As we know, this is a particularly dramatic day: the body of the Savior has already been removed from the cross and placed in a coffin. Of course, on such a day you should refrain from any quarrels, and even irritation is better left for later. And you also need to pay attention to such folk signs and beliefs:

  1. On Good Saturday, it is better not to plan any noisy parties. Even if a birthday falls, it should be celebrated as modestly as possible. And if you arrange a feast for the whole world, then this is an unkind sign: the year may not turn out as well as you planned.
  2. It is also popularly believed that it is not necessary to take out the garbage on Saturday and nothing (any item) from the house at all, including loans. Wait until Sunday - because if you disobey, it can give rise to minor troubles, failures and harm you.
  3. If Easter cakes turned out well on Great Saturday, this is a very good symbol: the year will turn out and delight loved ones with pleasant events.
  4. If you wake up precisely during the Easter dawn and see it, a new bright streak will come in business.
  5. If a deceased relative dreamed on Easter night, this is a very good sign. There is a belief that then in the next year all family members will be healthy, and no misfortunes will touch them.
  6. It is better to try not to oversleep the morning service and generally get up early. Being late for church is not a good sign.
  7. Interestingly, even hunters have a peculiar system of Easter symbols and signs. If you describe all their signs, you need a whole book. But the most important rule is that on such a day it is strictly forbidden to shed the blood of animals, this is considered a great sin. Therefore, with hunting (and fishing) you need to wait a little.
  8. If it was clear and warm on Saturday before Easter, then the whole summer will be clear and sunny. And if cloudy weather turned out - to be a cold and rainy summer.

Easter is a wonderful and bright holiday. Although there is no official state religion in our country, the day of the Holy Sunday of Christ is celebrated everywhere. Everyone knows that this holiday is directly connected with the coming (resurrection from the dead) of Christ to earth in a ghostly visible appearance to believers, after he was crucified on a cross and laid in a cave, giving him all the honors. immediately after the spring equinox. It is known that Jesus Christ came to earth in a divine guise in order to strengthen the faith of ordinary people, and this was in fact, according to the historical data available today.

Of course, the celebration itself is bright, because the Savior descended to earth. For this reason, various fairs and festivities are held everywhere in the cities of Russia, solemn Easter services are held in churches, and all people gather together at a quiet family evening in order to glorify the name of God. According to custom, the holiday begins with the condescension of the Holy Fire, and the holiday ends with the day named.

How to properly behave on this blessed holiday for true believers and what specifically cannot be done on this day, we will tell further.

First, we will describe what you can do on this bright day.
Easter is a joyful day for believers, since Christ is Risen, and thus he conquered death and proved to many people the truth of his sermons, instilled faith in them. For this reason, no one should go sad, dull, gloomy and touchy on this holiday. Easter includes a whole week, not just one day, as many people think. It is necessary to behave in a civilized, civilized and cheerful manner. On the very day of the Bright Sunday of Christ, one should: rejoice, forgive all those who have offended, after a long forty-day fast, meet with family and relatives, glorify God, congratulate everyone, invite guests, give to the destitute, please the poor and sick people and etc. In general, all week you should behave as befits a kind and merciful person.

What can not be done in this celebration? What does the church say about what not to do on the day and the whole subsequent week of glorifying God?

First, the church says that the Bible says that not even a bird nests on this day. This suggests that on Christ's Resurrection and throughout the week you should not engage in difficult tasks that require physical activity. For this reason, on this day and the next week, it is better to postpone all the hard things that you can. So, washing a car, building a house, doing physical things without a special need for it (only if it is not connected with the constant work activity of a person, for which he receives the means for his existence) is impossible. It will not be a sin that a person works on Bright Sunday for the benefit of society. On the contrary, if a person approaches his work on a holiday with humility and calmness, calmly fulfills his duties, the Lord will be able to touch his heart and send, perhaps, a miracle.

Another thing is if a person asks: is it possible to fish for Easter. The question is moot. On the one hand, the Bible says that when the disciples went out on land, they saw "... coals laid out and fish and bread lying on them ...". Christ sat down with them, and in order to show that he was not a ghost, he began to eat fish with them. Thus, we conclude: that you can eat fish. So, you can catch fish in order to break the fast. However, since fishing is a physical activity, if it is possible to postpone fishing until the day before the holiday, then it is better to do so.

Secondly, if you answer the question: is it possible to listen to music on headphones on Easter, you can definitely answer like this - you can’t. The goal of any believer is to connect with God, connect with the Light of Tabor, and the Resurrection of Christ is the day when you can comprehend all the mysteries and be with Christ. It is impossible to feel God when music is playing in the ears. The same goes for listening to music and dancing. The Church does not forbid having fun on this day. But the words in the songs should glorify God, and the dances should symbolize the union with him. If music with dancing glorifies his name, then you can do it.

Thirdly, it is impossible to fry kebabs for Easter on the holiday itself. Sunday is allowed. God can only require ""exceptional devotion""; he can be offended if we do bad deeds (according to Exodus 20:5). In general, it is worth breaking the fast with bread, fish and wine, as the apostles did when Jesus came to them to show that he had really risen.

And lastly, playing sports on Easter is not forbidden by the church. Whether it's a matter of going to the cemetery, drinking alcohol before the holiday and making love.

So, since Easter is a sacred and divine holiday for true believers, there is a special behavior that people must adhere to. The most important thing is to be human on this day and thereby glorify the name of your God.
