Before starting fortune-telling, you should try to remove everything - thoughts about extraneous things, concentrate on the subject or desire that interests you most. Fortune telling is a creative process, it does not lend itself to logical thinking, therefore, during fortune telling, you need to trust your intuition, inner voice more.

Folk divination is simple, accessible and understandable. Now, as many centuries ago, people are worried about the same problems related to their future, their destiny, family, career, material wealth.

In the old days, they used to guess in the bathhouse, according to popular beliefs, the bathhouse was considered a haven of dark forces. After these words, the image of the betrothed disappears, and his thing remains on the table. If the girl forgets these words or does not have time to "beware", then the ghost can mischief.

Fortune telling on Ivan Kupala by wreaths

Girls guessed not only at Christmas time, but also on the night of Ivan Kupala. At this mysterious time, they preferred to guess near rivers and ponds. In the most popular divination, wreaths woven from birch twigs were used. On the eve of the holiday, the girls wove wreaths, each of which was beautiful in its own way and different from the other. Then everyone went to the river and asked in unison if they should get married this year. The girls threw wreaths into the water and carefully watched how he behaved. If you land on the shore, the girl is destined for a quick marriage. If he swam further, she would not marry. And if he drowned, the girl will have a hard time - she will get sick or die.

There are other types of divination. For example, in the tradition of the Old Believers there was also fortune-telling with a flower wreath. Before getting married, the girl must work for a whole year as a maid in the groom's house. As the term expired, they wove her a flower wreath and threw it into the river, asking if the girl would marry this year. If the wreath remained afloat, they celebrated the wedding, but if it sank, she had to serve in the house all the next year or leave in disgrace to her parents. Some cheated with such divination - they wove heavy flowers into the wreath, and it sank. This was done either by the mother-in-law, who did not like the daughter-in-law, or by the girl herself, if she did not want to get married.

You can guess on the wreaths in a different way. Weave a lot of beautiful wreaths, put pieces of paper with written desires on them and throw them into the water. Your wreath will stick to the shore - the desire will come true, float further - you will achieve what you want yourself, drown - you won’t see anything, no matter how hard you try.

Folk divination by wax

For divination by wax, it is necessary to melt the wax (or crush several wax candles) in a metal container. Pour completely melted wax into water in a thin stream. As it cools, the wax takes on various forms. What image will pour out, then in life it will happen.
