List of weapons in Dying Light. Easter eggs, unique weapons, additional tasks, secrets, walkthrough and more Where can I find dying light weapons

There are many in Dying Light. Starting with the widest range of melee items, ending with explosives. From this article you will learn about where to find this or that type, and what characteristics it has.

Steel arms

It is quite effective when in a crowd of zombies. It would be nice if the weapons were improved. A direct blow to their head kills the first time.

It is worth making a small note: there will be a "Contact" parameter. It is responsible for the ease of use, the speed of pumping, as well as the amount of stamina taken away.

Melee weapons are divided into the following categories:

  1. One-handed axes. This weapon has 84 damage. It has a durability of 35 and circulation of 85.
  2. Two-handed axes. 154 damage points. They have a durability of 35 and circulation of 68.
  3. Blades. Capable of dealing 54 points of damage. Durability is 30. Appeal 88.
  4. Cleavers. Deal 76 damage with 30 durability and 88 circulation.
  5. Nail puller (scrap category). Able to take 88 hit points of the enemy. Durability is 35 and circulation is 82.

  18. Pipe wrench. Deals 29 damage. Durability 25. Handling 82.

Thrown weapons

This includes knives only. They deal 40 points of damage. Strength 40 points. Appeal 90. Throwing is intended for close combat. Almost all of its types disappear after use.

firearms

We will now talk about ranged weapons in Dying Light. Where is it found and how to get it?

  1. American pistol 9 mm. Often found in police vehicles. Sold by merchants. Lies in police stations and is obtained from the corpses of infected policemen.
  2. German pistol 9 mm. Available in the store, starting at level 9 of the "Survival" section. Can be found in a police truck or a chest. Can be found at the beginning of the game in a house with the inscription Take what U want, from the body of a guard who committed suicide.
  3. Raisa. The pistol is given for completing the side quest "Shadow of the King". Will be in a supply crate after completing the quest.
  4. Police rifle. Can be found when completing quests in the slums and the Old City.
  5. Sniper rifle. Obtained by purchasing the DLC Gun Psycho Bundle.
  6. Army. Given for activating the DLC through registration on Gemly.
  7. Military rifle. There is an opportunity to find when completing the Pact with Rais quest.
  8. Double-barreled shotgun. Found after the end of the quest for Jeff, as well as after the end of the quest "Full Throttle".

explosives

This species appears frequently in both the base game and the Dying Light the following expansion. The weapon is extremely effective when faced with a crowd of enemies. However, it is worth remembering that the sound of the explosion will spread around the area, and additional groups of zombies will come running towards it. Also, don't use it against Leapers. Fast moving enemies can cause damage to be dealt to you instead of them.

  1. White. Maximum damage level 40. Maximum durability 35. Appeal - 82. Can be upgraded 1 time. It costs $1350.

  4. Purple weapon. The average damage dealt to an enemy is 58. Durability is 49 points. Appeal is 82. 3 enhancements can be applied. The average cost is $1834.
  5. Orange weapon. The average level of damage is 62 points. Durability at level 52. Appeal 82. 3 upgrades can be installed. Such a weapon costs from $ 1989.

There is also another type of weapon. It will be discussed in more detail below.

How to get golden weapons in Dying Light

This weapon is extremely rare and has enhanced characteristics. In total, there are three ways to get such items. But it is worth noting that the drop rate is not equal to 100%.

Police van and receipts

You can get golden weapons from them only at a high level of difficulty. With all this, you will have to examine more than one van. You can also try your luck at the Bridge of Shame.

You can get receipts for passing tests on Bozak. After they are exchanged at the storekeeper. But it doesn't come up often.

Invasion

To get a golden weapon in this way, you must be at level 25. After you activate the invasion mode and deal with the elimination of hunters. In case of victory or defeat, there is a high probability that the desired tool will fall out.

Korek machete

Machete "Korek" - full modification of melee weapons in the game Dying Light. The name "Korek" is a reference to the name of a leading game optimization specialist..
Place of search Slums. To obtain the blueprint for this machete, you must travel to the Quarantine Zone located northwest of the "Stuffed Turtle" Quarantine Zone. Sam h The drawing is located in a blue box on the roof of a building near the underground parking. Getting a drawing is not so easy: for this you need to kick the box in which it lies about 80 times. P.s By the way, the screenshots are taken from the DL fandom.

EXPAlibur

EXPcalibur is a unique weapon in the Dying Light games. Power attacks launch light enemies flying (works on the jumper too, but they have a certain resistance). Like normal attacks, they do not deal direct damage, the target takes damage from falling or hitting an object. When killed, you will receive 50 agility points, as if you had thrown an enemy from a height or smashed it against a wall. Sometimes you will not gain experience when killed, apparently the game thinks that the zombie hurt itself, without the help of the player. Weapons cannot be repaired. And it breaks very quickly, however, there will be no breakage icon on the icon.

Korek Machete 2.0

Korek Machete 2.0 is a complete modification of melee weapons in the game Dying Light. The name "Korek" is a reference to the name of a leading game optimization specialist.
"Developers like to cheat when they" re playimg their own games. Especially Korek. it turned out that the previous version of his machete wasn "t good enough for the challenge of The Following so, well, we made him a new one. Have fun, Korek-senpai!" To get the blueprint, you need to bring all 4 canisters to the assembly point at the same time. If you bring each canister immediately to the house, and then follow another, then the brought one will return to its place.
If you play alone then your task is the most difficult. You need to go to the far canister, take it and carry it to the next one, then by throwing it already carry 2 canisters to the third one. And the last all 3 by throwing to deliver to the fourth. From there, already throwing all 4 canisters, drop them to the collection point on the roof of the house.
P.s. I found the video on YouTube, if the author watches this manual, then I apologize for not respecting copyright.

Suit

The Pyza Suit is a unique piece of equipment in Dying Light. Easter egg.
The drawing can be obtained in the Old City. On the roof of the southwesternmost building in the district, there is a chimney with a green circle inside, which opens the passage to the secret location "World 1-1".

Five dice before the first failure, you need to jump up and reveal a hidden pink cube from which the desired drawing is knocked out.
A blueprinted suit allows for a few seconds of glide before transitioning into a normal fall.
It is a reference to the game Super Mario.

Right hand glova

The right hand of gloVA is a throwable weapon in Dying Light.

To obtain a drawing, you need to insert two stones into the skull, which can be found at different ends of the Old City (in the very north in the tower wall and in the very south on the beach). The stones are marked as "Unknown". To do this, you must be in the process of completing or completing the quest The Shadow of the king, which is given after completing the quest Do You Believe? (Do You Believe?).
It is a reference to Left Hand of gloVA in Dead Island.

A Mysterious Blueprint

A Mysterious Blueprint - a blueprint from developers to create a unique weapon: Extraterrestial Chicken on a Stick.
To get a drawing, you need to throw a grenade into the pit several times or hit the ground with any weapon, after which a drawing should appear.

Origami 101- unusual developer drawing in The Following DLC. Using this blueprint, you can craft a paper airplane (fits in equipment or throwable weapons). When activated, the airplane starts circling around the player at a short distance and deals damage to the nearest zombie (damage animation in the form of flying pieces of paper). Not all zombies are killed by the airplane the first time.
The ability to take the drawing appears after the complete completion of a series of tasks with Fatin and Tolga.

Stasis Field Projector

The Stasis Field Projector is a unique grenade-like throwable weapon in Dying Light.
After being thrown and triggered, it lifts targets into the air in a fraction of a second and suspends them. They will hang in the air for about 3 seconds, after which they will fall hard to the ground.
Stasis Emitter works correctly on Biters and Infected. Does not suspend, but freezes zombies such as Destroyer, Brute, Leaper and Toad. Instantly kills Screamers and Bombardiers.
The blueprint can be obtained during Rupert the Gunsmith's quest by repeatedly activating the pink teddy bear in the kindergarten in the Old Town until it explodes.

Name
The name of the weapon reveals two things: the general look of the weapon you are dealing with and the relative power of the weapon. For example, there are many types of hammers: regular hammers, nail pullers, and so on. But you will quickly realize that Hammers are fast one-handed weapons. Whereas axes are much slower, but allow you to deal higher damage per hit.

Damage
The amount of damage a weapon does each time you hit an enemy. This factor doesn't take into account hitting speed, stamina consumption, or anything else. It's just damage per hit. The more the better, but there are also differences between weapon types. For example, a medium damage weapon can be better than a high damage weapon due to the difference in hitting speed.

Strength
Each time you hit with a weapon, its Durability decreases. In the end, the weapon breaks and becomes unusable. High Durability is always good, no matter what type of weapon you use.

There are skills that increase the amount of time you can use your weapon (for example, the Weapon Handling ability from the Strength ability tree). There are other ways to improve Durability. Each weapon can only be repaired a certain number of times. With the help of "metal parts", you can fully restore the durability of the weapon. This procedure will take a few seconds, so it is better to fix it before the fight.

Appeal
The circulation determines the speed of the weapon. The faster you can hit, the more damage you can deal to enemies in a given amount of time. This is a very important indicator, and the higher this indicator, the better for you. Even what looks like a small difference in Embrace can actually make a big difference in your ability to land quick strikes and fend off enemies.

Repairs
This characteristic shows how many times a weapon can be repaired before it becomes completely unusable.

Improvements
Weapons can be improved (increased Damage, Durability, and Appeal characteristics) in two ways: using blueprints, as well as special upgrade parts, which are called “Weapon Upgrades”. The number of possible improvements is determined by the subject. Better weapons can get more upgrades.

As a rule, "Improvements" are given as a reward for completing side tasks. Sometimes you can also find them in closed chests, but this is extremely rare. Before you make the final upgrade, you will be able to see exactly how the characteristics of the weapon will change with the use of one or another Improvement.

Blueprints allow you to change the weapon even more radically and add the effect of the elements (for example, additional fire damage). They do not take up an upgrade slot, so they are quite applicable even if you have already used all the slots on the weapon. Don't forget about Durability, the sooner you upgrade a weapon, the more time you can use it. Blueprints also visually change weapons, which makes their use especially interesting.

List of weapon upgrades:
Assassin: Evocation (Tier 1)
Barbarian: Damage (Tier 2), Durability (Tier 2)
Berserker: Damage (Tier 1), Transformation (Tier 1)
Brawler: Damage (Tier 2), Appeal (Tier 2)
Brute (Bruiser): Damage (Tier 2), Transformation (Tier 1)
Beast (Brute): Damage (Tier 2), Durability (Tier 1)
Champion: All weapon stats (Tier 1)
Clicker: All weapon stats (Tier 2)
Crusader: Durability (Tier 1), Evocation (Tier 1)
Duelist: Damage (Tier 1), Circulation (Tier 2)
Enforcer: Damage (Tier 1)
Fencer: Evocation (Tier 2)
Gladiator: Damage (Tier 2)
Juggernaut: Durability (Rank 1)
King: All weapon stats (Tier 2)
Knight: Durability (Tier 2), Evocation (Tier 1)
Mercenary: Damage (Tier 1), Durability (Tier 2)
Paladin: Durability (Tier 2), Appeal (Tier 2)
Pit Bull (Pit Fighter): Damage (Tier 1), Appeal (Tier 1)
Templar: Durability (Tier 1), Evocation (Tier 2)
Titan (Titan): Durability (Rank 2)

Price
The total cost of the weapon. Sell unwanted weapons to get more money. You will only receive 10% of the value when you sell weapons to one of the storekeepers. Trading skill (Survival skill tree) will allow you to get a lot more money from your sales, which makes it a pretty important source of income for your character!

Firepower
Feature for firearms. The more firepower, the more damage to targets. Similar to "Damage" for melee and thrown weapons.

Accuracy
A characteristic of a firearm that shows the probability of hitting exactly in the cursor's crosshairs. The higher the accuracy, the more headshots you will take. The skill of the player also affects this factor, of course.

rate of fire
Another characteristic of firearms. Unlike other data, higher rate of fire is not necessarily better. On the one hand, a high rate of fire is good, but on the other hand, it is necessary to remember about the shortage of cartridges.

Weapon Quality/Weapon Color
Many of the items you find are color coded so you know how good they are in their category. In other words, "Not all yogurts are the same." The color of a weapon's icon provides a quick way to determine its quality.
Color codes:
White- basic level of quality
Green- improved performance
Blue- more rare high quality items
Purple- very good performance, extremely rare
Orange- the maximum possible characteristics for this type

An example based on the Classic Beat

Dismantling weapons
After the weapon has become unusable, it can be disassembled and thus receive metal parts with which you can extend the life of other equipment. Dismantling weapons is done directly from the inventory. Just select the required item and click the "Parse" button.

Weapon Upgrade
This is also done from your inventory. Highlight the weapon you want to upgrade, make sure it has upgrade slots available, and then click on the button indicated in the lower left corner (default is F6 on the keyboard or LT on the Xbox controller). The upgrade screen will open.

Only one upgrade can be inserted into each slot. Select the slot you want to use and then select the upgrade you want. These upgrades have names such as Berserker, Assassin, Titan, etc. They increase the weapon's damage, circulation, and durability. Some upgrades can increase several stats at once.

In addition, you can upgrade weapons using blueprints. They do not take up an upgrade slot, but can only be used once.

Weapon modifications are expensive (generally requiring a wide range of components). However, they are certainly useful. Upgrades add various additional types of damage, which not only increases the overall lethality of the weapon, but also changes its appearance and functioning in combat.

Upgrade damage type

Which weapon is better to choose
The player can select four weapons at the same time for quick switching. Early on, you'll likely add whatever you can find. But over time there will be a real choice. Ideally, you should have a firearm, a fast weapon, a slow weapon, and a fourth slot for the weapon you like the most. One of our "favorite sets" looks something like this: a pistol, a rifle, a one-handed sword, and a two-handed hammer. This allows for ranged combat with multiple ammo types, melee combat with point-blank kills, or multi-target burst damage with two-handed weapons.

Weapon types
There are quite a few different categories of weapons in Dying Light, so it will take you quite some time to try them all out. It's not a hierarchy, because each category has both weaker and stronger varieties, with some weapons you will only find in the later stages of the game. This chapter provides samples with basic characteristics from each category.
Axes (one-handed)

Name: Axe
Damage: 84
Strength: 35
Handling: 85
Regular axes allow you to deal good damage at medium speed. They are the standard tool for combat operations at the beginning of the game. Use them against weak infected. Maximum damage is dealt on headshots.
Axes (two-handed)

Name: heavy ax
Damage: 154
Strength: 35
Handling: 68
Two-handed axes do more damage than one-handed counterparts, but are slower. Use this weapon against Biters (the easiest zombies), Brutes, Destroyers and other slow targets. Avoid using two-handed axes against nimble enemies who can avoid your attack and then punish you while you prepare your next strike.
bits

Name: Composite bat
Damage: 55
Strength: 35
Handling: 82
Bats are one of the most common types of weapons. You can get your first bat from the storekeeper in the Tower for free. Use them on weaker targets, always try to hit the head, because hitting the body with a bat is like a relaxing massage for zombies.
Blades

Name: Hookblade
Damage: 54
Strength: 30
Handling: 88
Blades are slower than Knives, but faster than One-Handed Swords. Effective against fast monsters.
Cleavers

Name: Meat cleaver
Damage: 76
Strength: 30
Handling: 88
They deal decent damage, especially in the early game. They allow you to kill Biters with ease, they are quite good in combat with the Infected. However, they are ineffective against targets with a lot of health. Cleavers have low Durability, so don't waste your best upgrades on them.
Scrap

Name: scrap iron
Damage: 88
Strength: 35
Handling: 82
Standard one-handed weapon. Has no particular strengths (or weaknesses) in any area. In the later stages of the game, they drop out very often.
Hammers

Name: normal hammer
Damage: 46
Strength: 30
Handling: 82
Simple hammers are relatively fast weapons that are easy to find. Perhaps the most optimal and cheap option against Biters in the early stages of the game. No need to think about Strength, used and disassembled into parts.
Two-Handed Hammers

Name: blacksmith hammer
Damage: 206
Strength: 35
Handling: 52
Don't let the high damage stats fool you, don't think it's some kind of ultimate weapon. Two-handed hammers are very difficult to use effectively. However, they can be used to kill large groups of enemies if you use the Whirlwind ability correctly. They are also great against Brutes. At the same time, this weapon is almost useless against Infected and Leapers. You just can't hit the enemy!
Khopesh

Name: Eastern khopesh
Damage: 279
Strength: 35
Handling: 81
Violent-looking weapons from the times of Ancient Egypt will make you a deadly opponent. However, it can only be found at a later stage of the game.
Knives

Name: copper knife
Damage: 40
Strength: 40
Handling: 90
Long and short knives are visually different, but are used in the same way during combat. Both varieties are very fast weapons that are great for killing fast enemies like the Infected.
Machete

Name: combat machete
Damage: 175
Strength: 35
Handling: 85
The machete is a deadly weapon that you are unlikely to see at the beginning of the game. A versatile zombie killer with decent speed and high lethality.
Army shovel

Name: Army shovel
Damage: 46
Strength: 25
Handling: 68
It is not found too often and is more of an element of diversity than a full-fledged weapon. Low performance will always allow you to find an alternative.
Kayla

Name: simple kayla
Damage: 100
Strength: 35
Handling: 81
A weapon with fairly decent speed and damage. He can be relied upon in fights against the Infected early in the game. It can also be used against faster targets if a good knife is not at hand.
Pick

Name: Pick
Damage: 180
Strength: 35
Handling: 68
Great for breaking the heads of simple zombies and Brutes, but we advise you to forget about the pickaxe in fights with more serious enemies.
Pipe

Name: regular pipe
Damage: 49
Strength: 25
Handling: 82
A simple weapon with which you will fight off zombies at the very beginning of the game.
Pistols

Name: German pistol 9mm
Firepower: 159
Accuracy: 95
Rate of fire: 199
Pistols allow you to kill enemies at short and medium range without having to engage in close combat. Don't waste ammo on slow enemies. Better save valuable ammo against Infected and aggressive Survivors.
Baton

Name: Baton
Damage: 73
Strength: 35
Handling: 89
A good weapon against fast enemies early in the game. The maximum effect is achieved when applied to the head of a militant opponent.
Rifles

Name: police rifle
Firepower: 184
Accuracy: 75
Rate of fire: 100

Name: military rifle
Firepower: 137
Accuracy: 55
Rate of fire: 100
In some parts of Harran, both police and military rifles can be found.
There are both police and military rifles in some parts of Harran. Save precious ammo by firing short bursts with an automatic military rifle, or use the equivalent for the police (the police rifle is not fully automatic).

Shotguns

Name: shotgun
Firepower: 1576
Accuracy: 25
Rate of fire: 199
Shotguns have a small ammo capacity, so they require frequent reloading. In addition, this weapon is absolutely useless at long distances. But when it comes to close encounters, a good shotgun is your best friend. It is also very effective against clumsy enemies with a large supply of health. Thugs and Destroyers, yes, we're looking at you.
sickles

Name: garden sickle
Damage: 63
Strength: 35
Handling: 88
Sickles are an effective tool for weeding through the ranks of your enemies. They are fairly quick to handle and deal enough damage to take down tough opponents. When properly upgraded, the sickle will be useful even against Infected or living enemies.
Swords (one-handed)

Name: Sipahi Saber
Damage: 134
Strength: 35
Handling: 85
Another category of weapon that is great for tearing the heads of enemies. One-handed swords have fairly high damage, decent speed, and can be used against most targets. They may not be fast enough against particularly nimble enemies, but this disadvantage is compensated by the damage they deal.
Swords (two-handed)

Name: Sword of the Bastard
Damage: 323
Strength: 35
Handling: 81
A longer swing time means that targets that use block and dodge are not good for you. But against Thugs and Destroyers, this weapon will be extremely effective. In short, two-handed swords are designed against anything that has more health than brains.
Keys

Name: Pipe wrench
Damage: 29
Strength: 25
Handling: 82
Keys are often found at the beginning of the game. The weakest members of this category are only functional against Biters, although later on you will find upgraded variants that are quite good against more serious enemies (Infected or Human Survivors). To get the most out of these tools, aim for the head.
custom weapon
There are also several other types of weapons that are too rare or extremely useless in terms of their characteristics. For example, killed Thugs leave behind pieces of reinforcement (the slowest weapon). You can also find paddles, other types of shovels, boards with nails, and more. All of these finds are not upgradeable and have significant drawbacks compared to conventional weapons.

IN Dying Light there are quite a few different categories of weapons, so it will take a lot of time for the player to experience them all. There are both weaker and stronger varieties, while the player will find some weapons only in the later stages of the game.

There are 5 types of weapons in the game:

Represented by a couple of types of pistols and assault rifles. Very effective, but expensive and draws the attention of zombies from a distance.

Basic and very extensive type. Includes everything imaginable, from broken boards to chef's knives. From a piece of rebar to a machete. Can be thrown at an enemy. Required to create modified weapons.

Includes several types of daggers and shurikens. It is possible to throw at several enemies at a time.

4. Modified
Crafted from melee weapons using various debris and blueprints. Very efficient.

This category includes: explosives, grenades and grenades with various elemental powers.

Parameters

All melee weapons in Dying Light there are the following options:

  • Damage- the amount of damage inflicted during an attack.
  • Strength- This parameter reflects the durability of your weapon. Weapons with minimum durability are not effective in combat.
  • Appeal- the higher this parameter, the easier the weapon should be to use, faster, it can be pumped (for melee weapons) and less stamina is required to use it.
  • Improvements— allow you to put modifications on weapons that improve the above and below described characteristics.
  • Repairs- each weapon can be repaired a certain number of times before its final wear. Repair consumes one cell and one metal part. You can extend the "life" of a weapon by taking a special perk in the branch, which will sometimes (usually once such an opportunity falls) repair weapons without spending a cell + install some kind of mod that increases the durability of the weapon.

All firearms have the following stats:

  • Damage- the amount of damage inflicted during an attack. Varies by body parts and distance.
  • Accuracy- determines the chance of achieving the intended goal.
  • rate of fire- the number of shots fired per unit of time. Usually calculated per minute.

Parsing- after the weapon is completely broken and can no longer be used, it can be sold or taken apart. Firearms cannot break, and as a result, they do not need to be repaired.

About the game ===================

Dying Light Dying Light is a first-person Survival Horror and Action open-world video game. The game is being developed by the Polish studio Techland (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Techland , techland.pl) and published by Warner Bros. interactive entertainment. The release of the game is scheduled for January 27, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC.

The game will take place in a city called Harran. An outbreak of an unknown virus occurred in the city, which led to an instant infection of the population. The main character, Kyle Crane, is an undercover operative who enters Harran on a mission. He finds himself in the middle of a real war, where, on the one hand, there is a gang of thugs led by Kadir Suleiman, and on the other, a group of fugitives trying to survive.

Simple infected. They can be both fast and slow. They attack the player, trying to grab him and bite him, or by striking him.

Enhanced Infected that spawn at night. The same walking dead, but much more dangerous. They make characteristic sounds, which shows that the infected has become more dangerous.

The deadliest infected, referred to as "elusive" (Volatiles). They only appear at night. They are stronger, faster, and more agile than the other Infected. Can chase the player across rooftops. A characteristic feature is the absence of clothing on them and a bifurcated lower jaw.

There are also some zombie giants that are able to lift heavy objects and throw them (in some cases killing other infected) and break through some walls. The second type of "giant zombies" are giants with pieces of rebar in their hands that cause great damage.

Infected, capable of spitting acid. They look a little swollen and swollen.

Semi-infected. These are people who have been infected. They still have the remnants of the mind, but they have almost no control over themselves. They can attack the player, but retreat when they react, shouting various phrases, for example: “No! Get away!"

Human opponents. Most of them are soldiers, well-equipped and armed. Sometimes fights with them can be avoided. Armed with both cold and firearms.
