Pmm connection. Built-in dishwasher installation: step-by-step installation instructions. Where to put the "dishwasher" and how to prepare the installation

The dishwasher not only eliminates the eternal reason for family troubles: “duty”; “outfit for the kitchen”, simply put - who will wash the dishes today. With the current dynamics of growth in utility tariffs for water, a dishwasher in a family with two schoolchildren pays off in 2-2.5 years, and if there is a third, small one, in a year and a half. Soon, a dishwasher will probably become an indispensable household item, especially since installing a dishwasher with your own hands is a simple matter, and it saves a lot of money.

Let's consider in order how to install the dishwasher yourself so that it does not break until it pays off, and lasts long after that. Each specific model of the dishwasher, of course, comes with instructions, but it is designed for the master, for whom some technical subtleties are taken for granted. And the instructions do not say anything, or say in passing, about what you need to know or do before buying a car.

Place for dishwasher

In modern kitchen sets, designers provide a niche for a dishwasher with fixtures. The mount is standard, but there are very good models of dishwashers for non-standard mounts. The type of fastening, and for the machines of which manufacturers it is suitable, is indicated in the furniture passport. If not, you need to measure the mount, and before buying, do the same on the car. If they do not match, it does not matter to rearrange the mounting strips in the niche of the kitchen cabinet, a Phillips screwdriver is enough.

It is worse if the dishwasher is larger than the niche under it. There's nothing you can do about it: you'll have to look elsewhere. For a skilled craftsman, the option is to remake furniture, but this is difficult and not easy. Another great option is a dishwasher on the table. More on this at the end of the article.

Wiring

Connect the dishwasher to the power supply only through a European socket with reliable grounding. If you replace the euro plug with a “Soviet” one yourself, then, in addition to the instant loss of warranty (branded sockets are molded non-separable), you will also risk your life in the kitchen all the time, even if the dishwasher is turned off.

In apartment buildings, instead of protective grounding, protective grounding is done: the ground wire is connected to a deaf neutral. If the sockets in the apartment are not yet grounded, it is better to arrange this work with a DEZ electrician: for a specialist, this is not a difficult task, but it is categorically not recommended for amateurs. Without resuscitation, the matter will probably work out, but if the energy service detects a “self-made” zeroing, then they won’t put a hand in the penalty part.

In addition, it is impossible to simply turn on the dishwasher, for the sake of the same electrical safety. That is why their power cords are made short so that they cannot reach a regular outlet.

The dishwasher is connected to the mains through an additional outlet located 25-35 cm above the floor. And the additional outlet, in turn, is powered by a tap from the main one through a 16 A circuit breaker (circled in yellow in the figure). Installing an additional outlet should, of course, be a specialist electrician. Only when the power supply for the dishwasher is installed, you can take on the rest yourself.

Tools, consumables and fittings

Before embarking on the installation of a dishwasher, you need to stock up on tools, consumables and water fittings. Most likely, there will be no problems with the tool: all you need is pliers and a screwdriver. Also on the farm there will probably be some electrical tape; vinyl or cotton - it doesn't matter. Electrical tape is needed to wrap metal threaded parts before tightening with pliers so as not to scratch. If there is an adjustable wrench No. 1 (small) at home, then electrical tape is not needed.

Of the consumables, you will have to buy a waterproofing tape FUM (fumka). Also not a question - the price is cheap. But you can’t try to use electrical tape instead of a PVC fumka: it is too thick and shrinks over time. If it turns out to tighten the PVC thread, then anyway, a leak will soon go.

From water folding and water shut-off valves you will need the following:

  • Waste siphon with fitting or two (see picture on the right). If the house already has a washing machine, then one fitting is needed. If not, the drain of the washer will be connected to the second one over time, but for now it can be plugged with a complete plug or rubber stopper.
  • Tee with 3/4 inch thread. ONLY brass, bronze or metal-plastic. Due to intergranular corrosion, silumin parts of water fittings tend to suddenly disintegrate without any warning signs. With everything that follows.
  • A coarse water filter, the same as the one in front of the water meter. Without it, the dishwasher is good if the warranty works out. And if not, then the case is non-warranty. Abroad, by the way, too: the quality of domestic water is one of the serious world problems.
  • Ball shut-off valve. Just like a tee - anything except silumin.
  • If the dishwasher is far from the sink, and the standard water connection tube - the henki - is not enough, then the metal-plastic henka is of the required length.

Dishwasher connection

Do-it-yourself dishwasher connection is carried out in the following sequence: drain, water, power supply. Recommendations - well, they say, anyway, are untenable already because the fittings and inputs on the machine itself are located based on just such a safe connection order. Those who want to do it their own way will have to work hard and probably redo it.

Stock

To connect the dishwasher to the drain, you just need to pull the drain hose onto the fitting. But two conditions must be met:

  • The drain hose may slip out of the sink and drain from the sink onto the floor.
  • The sewage pump of the machine, in order to pump the drain high, will have to work with an overload, and it will quickly fail.

Water

For any type of washing machines, it is strongly not recommended to connect hot water to the water supply. Firstly, the savings on heating water here are apparent: hot water costs more than electricity. If you already have an electric boiler, then you yourself know this.

Secondly, the quality of hot water is inevitably worse than cold water: its path from the water intake to you

longer and more complex - through the boiler room, where it comes into contact with the metal of the water heating system, and through additional pipes. All over the world, in contracts with subscribers, water supply organizations write that it is impossible to use hot water for cooking.

On the dishwasher, this affects very specifically and unpleasantly: the non-return valve fails. With proper installation, there will be no leakage to the floor, but an unpleasant smell from washed dishes may appear.

Note: when the dishwasher is powered with hot water from a household boiler, in which the magnesium protector is regularly changed, the problem of water quality disappears; it may even be higher than the incoming cold. But the consumption of electricity will be greater: with each start-up of the sink, 5-10 liters of water will be wasted to warm up the supply pipe.

Actually, connecting the dishwasher to the water supply is done like this:

  • We turn off the water in the apartment.
  • We disconnect the cold hank of the kitchen faucet from the pipe; We remove the old waterproofing and throw it away.
  • We attach a tee to the pipe, connect the mixer to it again and, in series, the filter (circled in blue in the figure), the ball valve and the dishwasher handle. Do not forget to isolate all threaded joints with a fumka.
  • Check if the ball valve is closed.

Note: the fumka needs to be wound in 10-15 layers along the thread. If, when screwing, the connection is tight, and the fumka gets into lumps and sticks out, you need to rewind in the opposite direction.

Electricity

Since the additional outlet is already installed, just plug in the dishwasher's plug.

Leak test

We turn on the water in the apartment. Then, without turning on the dishwasher, open its stopcock. Check to see if it's leaking anywhere. We turn on the dishwasher, start the test mode, or simply lay a portion of the dishes and wash. So nothing has flowed anywhere - we leave the stopcock open, the automatic machine of the machine is turned on, and we use it.

Note: if all adults leave the house, then the latter needs to remember to turn off the shut-off valve of the dishwasher and turn off its machine.

"Chips" of famous brands

Almost all manufacturers of dishwashers do not make henks themselves, but buy from subcontractors. A complete henk with a “non-Russian”, too short thread, may come across on sale. In this case, to connect the water, the complete gasket must be thrown away, and the joint must be insulated with a pipe. All of the above recommendations are given just in such a case. Besides:

  • Bosch- even if the standard gasket fits, it must be installed exactly according to the instructions. An inverted gasket leaks, not during the test, but after a day or two. If the Bosch leaks quickly, first of all try to close the shut-off valve and turn the gasket over. In addition, Bosch's non-return valve is a terrible picky about water quality. A filter for Bosch is a must, even if you live in an ecologically clean area and use artesian water. But Bosch easily becomes almost any kitchen set.
  • Siemens- "does not like" standard mounts and niches of standard sizes. You can count from the heels of models that clearly ignore the specifications of furniture makers. But unpretentious.
  • Electrolux- in order for these dishwashers to work long and well, their inclination in any direction should not exceed 2 degrees. Therefore, when choosing an Electrolux, do not forget to purchase or borrow a good short level for mounting.

Installing a dishwasher with your own hands will save you 1200 - 2500 rubles. The work you have to do is not the most difficult. And yet, if there is no experience, then it is better not to take risks and call the master.

But if you purchased a portable PMM, then it is easy to install it yourself - you just need to connect the water supply hose to the cold water tap, and lower the drain into the sink.

In general, connecting a dishwasher, located permanently, consists of the following steps:

  1. Installation of PMM at the place of operation (and dismantling of the old device, if necessary);
  • If you bought a built-in dishwasher, then you need to additionally mount it in the furniture and hang it in the facade - here the main difficulty is to make the markings for the fasteners correctly so that the facade is installed evenly.
  1. Connecting the dishwasher to the outlets for draining and filling water (if necessary, extend the drain hose);
  2. Connection to a socket (if necessary, electrical work on installing a socket, laying a cable);
  3. Leveling the machine;
  4. Installation quality check.

If you are confident in your abilities, then let's get started.

What do we need

Before you install a dishwasher in a niche under the countertop or connect a stationary model, prepare the tools and plumbing fittings.

Tool:

  • Pliers, and preferably an adjustable wrench;
  • Insulating tape (vinyl or cotton), it is wrapped around a metal thread on pliers so as not to damage the fasteners when tightened;
  • FUM tape for waterproofing;
  • Drill;
  • Clamps.

Plumbing fittings:

  • Waste siphon with 1 or 2 fittings - 2 fittings will allow you to immediately connect the washing machine;
  • Tee, ¾ thread;
  • The filter providing rough water purification;
  • ball valve;
  • Hank connecting pipe.

Connection Features

So, step by step instructions on how to connect the dishwasher in stages:

  1. If you are installing a built-in PMM, then first you need to prepare a niche, which, as a rule, should be 60 cm wide, and for narrow models 45 cm. You can level the machine with the level of the cabinets by removing the countertop and adjusting the legs of the lower cabinets. You also need to drill holes in the cabinet body for drainage, water intake hose and electrical wires.

  • Installing a dishwasher under the hob is prohibited;
  • The place for installation is chosen so that the length of the drainage hose does not exceed 1.5 meters. It is allowed to increase the length up to 5 meters, but in this case it will be difficult to guarantee the stable operation of the equipment.
  1. The next step is connecting to electricity. Please note that the socket must be of the "euro" type. You need to replace the socket if it does not meet the standards (but not the plug of the machine). Do not forget that when connected, we ensure safety, and the dishwasher is characterized by significant energy consumption. This determines the ban on the use of tees and extension cords. Installation of the outlet involves the use of a wire with a diameter of more than 2 mm. In addition, a 16A circuit breaker is additionally mounted in the electrical panel. Grounding is also performed using a 3-core wire, and it cannot be brought out to the pipes.
  2. Next - connect the dishwasher to the water supply. To do this, the water is shut off, a tee is connected to the pipe, then a filter, a ball valve and a hank. All threaded joints are insulated with a fumka - it must be wound at least 10 layers.

It is also mandatory to install a coarse filter, as it will prevent sand and rust from entering the machine from the water pipe.

  1. As for connecting the equipment to the sewer, here you can go the simple way by installing a siphon with an additional outlet and valve. In order to protect the device from water ingress from the sewer pipe, it is necessary to place the drain hose in a special way - at the exit to the sewer network it is placed at a height of 600 mm along the wall, and then bent to ensure water flow.

  1. The final step in connecting the dishwasher is to check the device for operability. In this case, the machine is tested idle, controlling the rate of water inflow, its heating, as well as operation in the drying mode. The check is carried out without dishes, but with the obligatory addition of regenerating salt and detergents.

Every woman is pleased to receive a dishwasher as a gift. However, joy replaces grief and resentment when some husbands undertake to connect equipment on their own.

It will be easy for a knowledgeable owner to complete the installation, and for the inexperienced, there is no need to be upset, because there is an instruction with a detailed description of the process. If the wording in it is incomprehensible, then it is better to use similar articles, where everything is written in an understandable language step by step.

Work on the installation of equipment is conditionally divided into 4 stages, each of which has nuances and features.

Connecting the dishwasher: the first stage

So, where to start the installation? Of course with the preparation of the place. Experts recommend following a few tips when determining it:

To the connection point with the sewer should be no more than 1.5 m;

An outlet will be required to supply power nearby;

The built-in model must match the parameters of the furniture.

If the machine provides for a tabletop location, you can do without a drain system. It is enough to lower the drain hose into the sink. The service life of the equipment will increase, since the load on the pump will be minimal. The desktop model does not need to be selected according to the dimensions of the kitchen furniture sections.

Installing the dishwasher: the second stage

After determining the location, you need to prepare a tool, without which it is impossible to make the installation. This:

- screwdriwer set;

- building level (it is better to use a short one);

- wrenches;

- construction knife, scissors;

- a screwdriver with an indicator.

You may also need longer hoses than those that come with the kit. Therefore, before starting work, it is necessary to carry out control measurements and check the necessary consumables:

- stop valve;

- tee for connection;

- a waste siphon with 2 fittings for additional connection of other equipment;

- FUM tape.

The power outlet must be grounded for safe operation.

Connecting the dishwasher: the third stage

Before starting work, turn off the water supply to this unit. Next, connect to the water supply in the following order:

Disconnect the flexible hose from the faucet to the water supply;

Install the tee, after wrapping the sealing tape on the thread;

Install the mixer hose on the top of the tee;

Install a cleaning filter into the outlet of the tee (seal the connection with tape);

After the filter, put the tap using sealing tape;

Connect the hose from the dishwasher to the faucet, pre-sealing it with tape.

It should be borne in mind that the connection is made only to a pipe with cold water. Do not use hot water for equipment.

Installing the dishwasher: the fourth stage

After arranging the water supply, you need to drain the used liquid from the dishwasher. The best solution is to install a siphon under the sink. So the knot will be invisible, and unpleasant odors will not spread throughout the room. To do this, simply connect the drain hose at an angle to the siphon. A large angle of inclination is welcome, because the drain will be carried out to a greater extent by gravity. At the point of connection to the siphon, a kink should be created so that the drains do not fall into the sink.

The last step is to connect to a grounded outlet. It must be rated at least 16 A. You also need to check the condition of the wiring. If there is a discrepancy between the cores or obvious damage, it should be replaced with a new one that can withstand the load of powerful equipment. Experts recommend supplying power directly from the electrical panel or junction box. This connection will be more secure. Also, do not use one outlet at the same time for two connections, the wiring may not be able to cope.

Manufacturers assemble dishwashers according to the developed scheme. The location and type of nodes are similar, so the device is considered in one example. The article describes how to connect the device to the water supply, electrical network and check it for leakage. Description of compact models placed on the table is at the end.

Dishwasher device

The dishwasher components are located in a metal or plastic case. The frame is assembled from metal racks that take the load from the motors and pumps. Inside the dishwasher, the walls are made of stainless steel. This is done to extend the service life when exposed to water and detergents. Cutlery is loaded into the dishwasher through the front door, which opens 90 degrees. The deuce in the diagram is a spring that makes the movement of the sash smooth and facilitates closing. Plates, forks and other items are arranged in baskets. The top one is numbered 1.

There are two or three trays in the dishwasher. The height changes according to the dimensions of the dishes. Baskets are removable or non-removable. Manufacturers provide folding plastic holders for the legs of wine glasses. The number 3 in the illustration above indicates sprinklers or rockers. Their role is to supply a directed jet of water. The nozzles rotate to cover the inner radius of the dishwasher. Cutlery is poured with cold and hot water. A thermostat (4) is built in to monitor the temperature.

Food residues that get into the machine with dirty dishes are retained when the liquid is drained through the filters (5). The dishwasher is connected to the sewer pipe by a drain hose (6). The sleeve is similar to that used in washing machines. The water level and pressure are monitored by relay number 7. The liquid is discharged under pressure, which is important when the hole height difference in the dishwasher and in the sewer. This is done with a pump (8). A leakage sensor (10) is installed in the bottom of the dishwasher. If its sensors are closed by liquid, then it closes the inlet valve (17). The signals to the components come from the control unit number 11. The water pressure inside the machine is pumped by the pump (12). Together with the liquid, detergent is supplied through the dispenser (16).

If the dishwasher door opens during the program, the water will go to the neighbors below. To prevent this from happening, the locking latch number 15 holds the sash. The steam remains in the hopper thanks to the sealing rubber (18). A dishwasher without hot water supply heats it with a heating element at number 20. An option in the device is a second heater and a fan. The latter is mounted in dishwashers with a turbo-drying function. The dishes are rinsed with clean water, so a liquid sensor is installed in the dishwasher models so that the product does not get on the washed cutlery.

For dishwashers with two or three drying systems, a sensor is provided. The sensor analyzes the air temperature in the kitchen and selects the program. In premium models of dishwashers there is a hardness analyzer. He adds salt to the water to soften and selects the washing mode. The process is monitored on a digital display or on the dishwasher's LED indicators. The third option is "beam on the floor". A red or green dot is projected onto the area next to the machine, which indicates the passed stage.

The principle of operation of the dishwasher

The power button activates the dishwasher. The device informs about the operating status by indication on the display or simultaneous second flashing of the LEDs. Load the dishes into the dishwasher baskets, close the door and select the program. The drain valve is blocked and the inlet valve is activated. Water enters the dishwasher through the filling hose. An ion exchanger passes for softening and merges into a water collector. When the level is reached, the sensor activates and closes the inlet valve. The liquid is heated to the temperature provided by the mode.

The circulation pump delivers heated water through the channels of the dishwasher to the sprinklers. Through the nozzles, the liquid washes the dishes. Flowing down the walls of the machine, it enters the filter, is cleaned and reused. In parallel, the water is saturated with detergents. After the wash cycle, the instruments are rinsed with cold liquid. The waste is drained after the valve is activated. In the second and third rinsing phases, the dishwasher uses warm or hot water. Plates, spoons and forks are dried by the condensation method, in which moisture evaporates due to temperature differences. During turbo drying, the fan is activated.

Comment! After the washing cycle is completed, the machine beeps or displays a message on the display.

Do-it-yourself dishwasher connection

To connect the dishwasher, use the following set of tools:

  • level;
  • coarse filter;
  • siphon with drain inlet;
  • cable;
  • wrench;
  • sealing tape;
  • side cutters;
  • ball valve;
  • socket with grounding;
  • differential machine.

It is not worth saving on accessories, because the life of the dishwasher depends on it.

Installing the dishwasher

Dishwashers are solo and built-in. The first are installed on the desired site without or with reference to furniture. For built-in when designing a kitchen corner, a niche is made that corresponds in size to a typewriter. If the length of the dishwasher drain hose exceeds 1.5 meters, then there will be problems with the pump when draining. This is taken into account when choosing a place for a dishwasher. When the distance cannot be maintained, the machine is mounted in the bathroom. A grounded outlet is placed next to the dishwasher.

Attention is paid to the floor plane under the dishwasher. There should be no distortions, this is checked with a bubble level. Models of devices have adjustable legs, leveling small errors. For compact dishwashers that are installed on a table or stand, do not make a stationary drain. The hose attaches to the sink when in use. If the dishwasher has a switchable pump, then it is not used, because due to the level difference, the water leaves itself.

Connecting the dishwasher to the mains

Dishwasher manufacturers indicate the connection power in the passport. For a single-phase network, it does not exceed 3.5 kW. The socket under the machine must withstand a current of 16 amperes. It is placed at a distance of 1-1.5 meters from the dishwasher. Losses on the power cable of the machine will be small, which does not lead to overheating. The line is laid from the switchboard, in which a separate machine is installed. They use a 16 A differential, because its sensitivity is less than that of an RCD, which will prevent false positives.

The wire is placed in a strobe if the repair is not yet completed. If the finish is completed, then the conductor is pulled in the cable channel. Buy VVG or PPV 3 × 2.5. The contacts are fixed with plate clamps so that the cable does not go out from under the screw. The socket adjacent to the washing machine is not being used because the total consumption is higher than allowed. At the time when the dishwasher is not involved, the power is turned off in the shield.

Connecting the dishwasher to the water supply

Before connecting the dishwasher to the water supply, the inlet valve is closed. This step prevents leakage during the installation of adapters, filter and valve. Connect the dishwasher with a flexible hose. The tee is installed in the place where the mixer is connected to the water supply. The adapter thread is sealed with Teflon tape. There should not be many turns, because it will bite and take it off. After the tee, a ball valve is installed. Its task is to manually turn off the dishwasher to repair or replace the nozzle. After the tap, a fine filter is mounted to prevent rust and debris from entering the mechanism of the machine. The flexible hose is wound onto the filter outlet without a sealing tape, since there is a rubber gasket in the nut.

The dishwasher can be installed in homes where there is no running water, for example, in the country. To do this, a plastic tank is lifted into the attic. It is fixed with wooden or metal spacers. The walls are insulated with expanded polystyrene or mineral wool so that the water does not freeze in winter. A pipe is brought from the tank and the apparatus is connected. The tank is filled with water from a well or well with a deep pump. Before buying a machine, it is important to make sure that there is enough pressure for the fluid flowing by gravity.

Advice! The inlet tap to the dishwasher is turned off when it is not in use. This is done to extend the life of the filling valve.

For models of dishwashers with double connection, a supply of cold and hot water is made. The latter should not be taken from the water supply. It is filled with impurities that will ruin the mechanism of the machine and increase the payment for heat. Hot water is supplied to the dishwasher from boilers or storage tanks through a filter. In this case, the savings will be obvious, since excess liquid is used and the dishwasher does not turn on.

If a washing machine is already connected through a tee at the entrance to the mixer, then it makes no sense to mount another one under the dishwasher. The problem is an increase in the load on the thread and the lack of space under the sink. It is rational to install a collector. A supply is made to it and water points are connected to the outlets with flexible hoses. Cranes are placed at the input of the collector and at its outputs. The first overlaps the node, the rest each device separately.

The dishwasher is connected to a steel pipe. If a highway passes near the machine, then you do not need to pull the hose. A brass saddle insert is used. The adapter is selected according to the diameter of the pipe and mounted like a clamp. A hole is drilled in the pipe through which water enters the dishwasher. A tap is screwed onto the tie-in, a filter is installed and a supply is made to the dishwasher.

Connecting the dishwasher to the sewer

When connecting the drain of the dishwasher, it is not necessary to block the risers. If the machine is placed in the kitchen, which is in use, then the siphon changes. It is purchased as seen in the photo above. It has a hose outlet. The drain is attached above the water seal so that odors from the sewer do not seep into the kitchen. The adapter is placed at an upward angle so that when using the sink, water from it does not enter the dishwasher. The hose is fixed on the outlet with a clamp. If this is not done, then under the pressure of the pump it will be torn off.

Advice! The point of connection of the hose to the siphon should not be higher than indicated in the passport. If this is not done, then the dishwasher will stop with an error.

It is not always possible to replace the siphon under the sink, because it may be occupied by the washing machine or difficult to access. In this case, use an oblique dishwasher tee. It is a sewer outlet. Disconnect the assembly where the sink siphon is connected to the sewer pipe and insert the adapter. A corrugation from the sink is connected to one of the holes. In the second, an o-ring is inserted. Lastly, a flexible hose from the dishwasher is lowered. With this connection, a loop or "anti-siphon" is used. An example is seen in the photo above. This is done for a water seal that retains odors.

Advice! Connecting the dishwasher to the sewer during repairs is carried out with a wall siphon.

If the manufacturer has put an air break valve in the dishwasher kit, then it is installed between the machine and the drain hole. The element is attached to the countertop or to the back wall of the furniture. From above, the hole is closed with a decorative overlay. A video on installing and connecting the dishwasher is below.

Checking the dishwasher for leaks

After connection, the dishwasher does not move towards the wall. Water is smoothly supplied to the inlet hose of the dishwasher. When it is open, the threaded joints are fully verified. They must be dry. If everything is in order, the valve is closed and the dishwasher is put in place. Run a short mode without dishes. During the process, the observer is next to the machine. If the machine has not been knocked out, there are no leaks at the inlet and outlet, then the installation is successful.

Dishwasher on the table

Connecting a desktop dishwasher is carried out according to the example described for a full-size one. The difference lies in the supply of the fill and drain hose. For them, holes are provided in the countertop or behind it. Use a plastic overlay to hide the chips along the edges of the cut. If a desktop machine is included in the project, then the water and sewer pipes are laid in a strobe, and conclusions are drawn at the level of the dishwasher.

When placing the drain hose from the dishwasher in the sink, it is fixed so that it does not pop out and flood the neighbors. Dishwashers from the Electrolux brand are capricious to floor level. The deviation during installation should not exceed two degrees. Appliances from Siemens are purchased before ordering a kitchenette. The dimensions of the machines of this brand may not meet the standards, so they are measured after the fact. If you change the sequence, then the dishwasher will not fit or there will be gaps with furniture.

Grounding from the device is connected to the circuit. Do not do this to a gas or water pipe. In a multi-storey building, there are pickups on them that can harm the electronics of the dishwasher. Between the wall and the end of the dishwasher, the gap is made from 5 cm. This is necessary for air circulation, which is ventilated by the components of the equipment. The connection diagrams given in the article are general. For each model, the passport contains instructions from the manufacturer. Rely on factory standards.

Mains filters, ready-made extension cords and electrical adapters are not used when connecting a dishwasher. Insufficient wire cross-section or poor contact leads to overheating, damage to the device or injury. If it is not possible to place an outlet next to the device, then the extension cord is assembled independently. When installing a dishwasher next to an electric stove, refrigerator or washing machine, a separate line is connected for each appliance. This is done to eliminate network interference and overload.

Conclusion

In dishwashers, manufacturers provide a delayed start. In this case, the device is programmed to work at night, when the load on the network is lower. The option is relevant for two-tariff meters. In order for the dishwasher heater to last longer, additives are used to prevent the formation of scale. If there are children in the house, then when buying a dishwasher, the child protection mode, which blocks the control, is taken into account.

In the article, we will look at how to independently connect a Bosch dishwasher to communications. Its type, dimensions, installation methods should be taken into account - the performance of the Bosch dishwasher depends on the correct connection. The store will offer you to use the services of a master, but if you want to save money, follow the instructions and our tips.

Place of installation of PMM

If you decide to integrate appliances into a new kitchen set, it is enough to order a niche of the required size. The layout of the premises already provides for the location of communications. But if you need to install a built-in dishwasher in an old set, it is important to consider the placement of outlets and the water supply system.

Ideally, a place near the sink is suitable. You can prepare a cabinet to accommodate the Bosch PMM. To do this, the door is removed, the shelves are removed. If you do not want to remove the back wall, make holes in the side panels to let the hoses out.

The advantages of this placement:

  1. When connecting, "native" hoses are used, which are included in the kit. No need to buy an additional inlet and drain hose.
  2. Quick and easy connection to the drain. Therefore, waste water will quickly leave.
  3. Ease of use. Dirty dishes from the sink are transferred to the machine without any extra effort.

The Bosch SKS51E28EU compact dishwasher fits perfectly under the sink. If there is not enough space, change the siphon to a compact version with additional drainage.

How to connect PMM to electricity

Have you decided on a place? Time to think about the electrician - everything is not so simple here. It is recommended to connect powerful equipment to a separate network with a difavtomat and a stabilizer.

It is important to place the outlet at a level of 25-30 cm from the floor, since the dishwasher has a short cord. Do not undertake to lay the wiring with your own hands, entrust this business to professionals.

Here is what the on-site specialist should do:

  • prepare a groove in the wall for laying a three-core copper wire;
  • lay the wire and connect the difavtomat;
  • install a grounded socket (necessarily moisture resistant, European standard);
  • organize the connection of the voltage stabilizer.

It happened that for the incorrect connection of the Bosch machine to the network, users were deprived of the guarantee.

Then a drain site is organized. It is better to replace the old siphon with a new one with one or two outlets. So you can connect not only PMM, but also.

Tools and parts for DIY installation

To successfully position and connect the dishwasher, you will need:

  • brass threaded tee;
  • corner faucet (in case of leakage, it will help to quickly turn off the water);
  • a set of cross and slotted screwdrivers;
  • coarse filter (if not already installed);
  • pliers;
  • open-end wrenches;
  • tape for waterproofing;
  • building level.

An additional cleaning filter can be installed at the inlet hose connection. So the heater will last much longer.

Connecting PMM Bosch to communications

If you have acquired a freestanding dishwasher, it is important to level it and adjust the legs. The equipment must stand straight, without distortions.

Built-in appliances will require more effort, because you need to fix it in the headset and organize outlets for hoses. You have two connection options:

  1. Immediately connect all communications, and then embed the machine in the furniture.
  2. First install in furniture, but then the connection will be more problematic.

Water supply

Must be connected to cold water. To do this, follow the instructions for use or read our recommendations:

  • turn off the water supply by screwing the inlet valve;
  • disconnect the hank (connecting tube) of the mixer and remove the waterproofing;
  • attach a tee to the outlet of the water supply;
  • to the tee - a filter: an inlet hose is installed on one outlet, the other goes to the mixer.

For reliability, fasten the joints with a fum tape, wrapping it in 10-15 layers around the joint.

Why is a cold water connection recommended? Because the quality of cold water is much higher than that of hot water. She immediately starts to run through the pipes after turning on, while the hot one comes with a delay.

Important! Take a look at the specifications of the dishwasher. Some Bosch manufacturers indicate an inlet water temperature of +20 degrees. Therefore, by connecting to a hot water supply, you risk losing the warranty.

Organization of the drain

By installing a new siphon, you can connect a drain hose to one of the outlets. The drain diameter must match the size of the hose. It is important to follow the instructions in the instructions to avoid an unpleasant smell from the sewer.

Fasten the connection point with a clamp. Strong pressure can easily break the connection, which will lead to a flood.

After completing the connection of the dishwasher, check its stability, conduct a test run. Watch how water is collected and drained, how heating and drying work.

  1. Use extension cords to power outlet.
  2. Plug your dishwasher and stove into the same outlet.
