Bioxi septic tank maintenance. Why is the Bioxi septic tank good: an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of these cleaning systems Bioxi septic tank device with a backwash pump

The treatment process in BIOXI stations occurs due to the interaction of wastewater with activated sludge - the biomass of various types of microorganisms and protozoa involved in biochemical breakdown, but simply by eating organic pollutants and many inorganic compounds, which contributes to deep wastewater treatment. Such treatment allows, without violating sanitary standards, to discharge treated effluents after BIOXY stations onto the terrain.

Consider the operation of the station in more detail:

First of all, sewage flows enter the receiving chamber (2), where they are mixed, as well as the splitting of large mechanical inclusions. This happens due to the process of intensive aeration - saturation of the liquid with oxygen, in this case due to the supply of atmospheric oxygen by a membrane compressor to the aerator (3).

Side view

Further, the already prepared effluents through the filter of large fractions (5), which retains undissolved organic waste and inorganic debris, through the main airlift - a pump operating on the principle of squeezing liquid with air pressure (7), enter the next chamber, called the "aerotank" (8), where the concentration of working activated sludge is maximum due to constant and intense fine-bubble aeration. In the Aerotank there is a buried secondary settling tank (abbreviated ZVO) (9). Moreover, the aerator of the aerotank is located on one side, which allows, in the presence of a water treatment plant, to ensure the movement of treated wastewater with activated sludge in a circle, intensifying the treatment process. When part of the treated water with activated sludge moves down, the oxygen concentration in the water drops, the process of denitrification intensifies (the reduction of nitrites and nitrates to nitrogen gas), the resulting nitrogen bubbles are easily separated from the sludge particles due to water circulation.

After the denitrification zone, part of the water, passing through the WTO, is separated from the sludge and flows through the outlet pipe of the buried secondary settling tank (14) into the outlet tank (15). From the outlet tank, the treated effluents are discharged from the station by gravity or forcibly using a drainage pump through the outlet pipe ( 25).

Excess activated sludge from the aeration tank is pumped by an airlift (22) to an activated sludge stabilizer (19) with a large-bubble aerator (20), where it is accumulated and stabilized under aerobic conditions. Heavier sludge settles to the bottom of the tank, and water with a small amount of small particles of activated sludge flows through a small vertical sump through the overflow pipe (23) back to the aerotank and continues to participate in the purification of incoming polluted water.

View from above

BIOXY treatment systems are equipped with an automatic flushing system and have a flushing pump (17) located in the outlet tank (15) and controlled by a control unit timer (16). The pump is connected to the distribution pipeline of the automatic flushing system (18), to which, in turn, the following are connected: the main airlift (7), the activated sludge recirculation airlift (22), the denitrification zone flushing injector (13), and the AEO film breaker (11). Also, during the operation of the pump, the outlet pipe of the air cooler (14) is flushed, and the air cooler itself is washed through it. During the process, the liquid level in the aerotank rises and, accordingly, in the SCZ. Due to this, part of the activated sludge and insoluble particles flows through the overflow remover (21) of the buried secondary clarifier into the receiving tank. The washing pump also pumps out the sediment from the bottom of the output tank, which acts as an additional sump.

A septic tank is a device that processes and cleans sewage in autonomous sewers. Its installation is carried out in private houses where there is no city sewerage. The function of the Bioksi septic tank is to accumulate its reservoir of sewage waste with subsequent processing. Bacteria that settle in organic waste multiply and, in the course of their life, process wastewater. Bacteria-purified water and silt residues are used in home gardens as fertilizer.

So, you have decided to install a Bioxi septic tank on your site, but you have no idea where to start doing the work. In this article, we will look at how to install a Bioxi septic tank on our site.

Model selection

Before installing a septic tank, you must select a model. There are several models of the Bioxi septic tank, which differ in their modification. At first glance, it looks like a large refrigerator. Having different characteristics, the equipment is installed at different depths and depends on the depth of the laid sewer pipes.

  • If the sewer pipes will be located at a depth of no more than 90 cm, then it is enough to purchase the usual Bioxi.
  • With a depth of 90 to 140 cm, it is necessary to install a Bioxi Long septic tank.
  • Well, if it turns out that the location of the sewer pipes is deeper than 140 cm, install the Bioxi Super Long model.
  • Another of the main parameters that you need to pay attention to before buying a Bioxi septic tank is the amount of sewage being processed.
  • If up to 3 people live in a residential building, it is enough to set the option "Bioxi - 0.6".
  • When the number of people living in the house is 5 or more people, it is necessary to install "Bioxi - 1".

There are models that can clean the wastewater coming from the sewer from a hundred people. This type of septic tank is installed in cottage settlements.

Location selection

So, you have chosen a suitable model of a septic tank. The next step is to select and prepare a place for installation.

  • "Bioxi" must be installed in such a place that it is possible to lay sewerage to it without obstacles.
  • The distance from the septic tank to the residential building, according to sanitary standards, should not be less than 5 m. Although practice shows that the distance should be from 10 to 25 m.
  • The place for installation should not be in a ravine. Rainwater and melted snow can get into the installation, and the septic tank will not be able to perform its cleaning functions.

Installation "Bioxi"

  1. Preparatory work has been carried out, the choice of model and installation site has been made. Our next action - According to the size of the selected model and the depth of the sewerage passage, we dig a pit in the ground.
  2. We prepare the bottom of the pit. If your site consists of sandy soil, then the bottom of the pit must be tightly packed. Remove stones and foreign debris so that they do not damage the bottom of the structure. Provided that the soil is solid at the bottom of the pit, we pour a pillow of sand and gravel about 10 cm.
  3. We bring a protected power cable to the pit in parallel. We select its cross section according to the power consumption of the electrical equipment of the septic tank.
  4. We install a septic tank in the finished pit. The cover must be 20 cm above the edge of the earth. This condition is above
  5. The installed septic tank is connected to the power cable and pipeline. In the event of an irregular supply of electricity, it is necessary to install an additional power source. The sewer input should be one, therefore, having several buildings equipped with sewage, we combine it into one and only then we make the connection.
  6. We start backfilling the pit. The capacity of the septic tank, as it falls asleep, is filled with water. This is required to distribute uniform pressure on the walls of the structure.

On this, the process of our work on the installation of the Bioxi septic tank is completed. Maintenance is required after three months of use. It consists in pumping out the sediment with a pump included in the device. During pumping, we clean the walls. After five years, the secondary chamber is cleaned. After ten years, we carry out an audit of the aeration unit. With the correct performance of all work and timely maintenance, the Bioxi septic tank will serve you for a long time and will not give you much trouble.

The most popular station of the lineup. Optimally suited for living outside the city of a family of up to five people. You can forget about the constant pumping by the machine and the unpleasant smell of the sewer.

To connect plumbing fixtures to the water supply network, a flexible water supply is used. It is in demand when connecting faucets, showers, toilets and other points of water intake, and greatly simplifies the installation process. Flexible piping is also used when installing gas equipment. It differs from similar devices for water in manufacturing technology and special safety requirements.

Characteristics and types

Flexible hose for plumbing is a hose of different lengths, made of non-toxic synthetic rubber. Due to the elasticity and softness of the material, it easily takes the desired position and allows installation in hard-to-reach places. To protect the flexible hose, the upper reinforcing layer is designed in the form of a braid, which is made of the following materials:

  • aluminum. Such models withstand no more than +80 ° C and retain functionality for 3 years. In high humidity, aluminum braid is prone to rust.
  • Of stainless steel. Thanks to this reinforcing layer, the service life of the flexible water supply is at least 10 years, and the maximum temperature of the transported medium is +95 °C.
  • Nylon. Such a braid is used for the manufacture of reinforced models that can withstand temperatures up to +110 ° C and are designed for intensive use for 15 years.

Nut-nut and nut-nipple pairs are used as fasteners, which are made of brass or stainless steel. Devices with different indicators of permissible temperature differ in the color of the braid. Blue ones are used to connect to a pipeline with cold water, and red ones - to hot water.

When choosing a water supply, you need to pay attention to its elasticity, reliability of fasteners and purpose. It is also mandatory to have a certificate that excludes the release of toxic components by rubber during operation.

Features of gas connections

When connecting gas stoves, columns and other types of equipment, flexible connections are also used. Unlike models for water, they are yellow and are not tested for environmental safety. For fixing, end steel or aluminum fittings are used. There are the following types of devices for connecting gas appliances:

  • PVC hoses reinforced with polyester thread;
  • synthetic rubber with stainless steel braid;
  • bellows, made in the form of a corrugated stainless steel tube.

Drainage is a hydro-reclamation measure to remove excess groundwater.

If water does not leave the territory of the site for a long time, soil gleying occurs, if shrubs and trees quickly disappear (wet), it is urgent to take measures and drain the site.

Reasons for waterlogging the soil

There are several reasons for waterlogged soils:

  • clay heavy soil structure with poor water permeability;
  • an aquiclude in the form of gray-green and red-brown clays is located close to the surface;
  • high occurrence of groundwater;
  • technogenic factors (construction of roads, pipelines, various facilities) that impede natural drainage;
  • violation of the water balance by the construction of irrigation systems;
  • the landscape area is located in a lowland, a beam, a hollow. In this case, precipitation and water inflow from higher places play an important role.

What causes excess moisture in the soil

You can see the results of this phenomenon yourself - trees and shrubs are dying. Why is this happening?

  • the oxygen content in the soil decreases and the content of carbon dioxide increases, which leads to a violation of the processes of air exchange, water regime and nutrition in the soil;
  • oxygen starvation of the root-forming layer occurs, which leads to the death of plant roots;
  • the intake of macro and microelements by plants (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, etc.) is disrupted, because excess water washes out mobile forms of elements from the soil, and they become inaccessible for assimilation;
  • there is an intensive breakdown of proteins and, accordingly, the processes of decay are activated.

Plants can tell at what level groundwater occurs

Take a close look at the flora in your area. The species inhabiting it will tell you at what depth the groundwater layers are located:

  • top water - in this place it is best to dig a reservoir;
  • at a depth of up to 0.5 m - grow marigold, horsetail, varieties of sedge - blister, holly, fox, Langsdorf reed grass;
  • at a depth of 0.5 m to 1 m - meadowsweet, canary grass,;
  • from 1 m to 1.5 m - favorable conditions for meadow fescue, bluegrass, mouse pea, rank;
  • from 1.5 m - wheatgrass, clover, wormwood, plantain.

What is important to know when planning site drainage

Each group of plants has its own moisture needs:

  • with a groundwater depth of 0.5 to 1 m, vegetables and annual flowers can grow on high beds;
  • the depth of the water reservoir up to 1.5 m is well tolerated by vegetable crops, cereals, annuals and perennials (flowers), ornamental and fruit and berry shrubs, trees on a dwarf rootstock;
  • if groundwater at a depth of more than 2 m, you can grow fruit trees;
  • the optimal depth of groundwater for agriculture is from 3.5 m.

Do you need site drainage?

Record your observations at least for a while. You yourself will be able to understand how much drainage is needed.

Maybe it makes sense to simply redirect melt and sediment water along a bypass channel, and not let it flow through your site?

Perhaps it is necessary to design and equip a storm drain and improve the composition of the soil, and will this be enough?

Or is it worth making a drainage system only for fruit and ornamental trees?

The exact answer will be given to you by a specialist, whom we strongly recommend calling. But after reading this article, you will gain some awareness in this matter.

At the end of the technological and production tasks associated with the arrangement of the sewer system in an apartment building, an industrial building, as well as in a private household, it is required to test the system involved using the forced spill method. This task was applied to identify possible defects or improper installation of the entire sewer part involved, and the act of testing the internal sewerage and drain systems will be material evidence of work on the acceptance of the object.

A visual check should be accompanied by entering into the test report of internal sewerage and drain systems according to SNIP, which is currently represented by the current regulations of the appendix of the D series, which corresponds to SP 73.13330.2012 "Internal sanitary systems of the building", recently a new one has been applied updated working version according to SNiP 3.05.01-85.

Like any mechanism, aeration stations need scheduled maintenance to maintain overall performance and the required degree of purification of incoming domestic wastewater. Since the main users of this type of sewage are people living in private homes, it is structurally possible to carry out maintenance of Bioksi stations with their own hands.

Here we will step by step consider the entire process of necessary service work, which will allow you to operate your cleaning station in normal mode for a long time.

Video:

Before you start cleaning Bioksi with your own hands, you need to know the frequency with which it should be done:

  • Once a quarter. With daily residence of a nominal number of users (for example, when using the Bioxi 5 station by five users) all year round.
  • Once every six months. With daily living during the summer season (the first time in the middle of the season, the second, with conservation - at the end of the season).
  • Once a year. For weekend stays during the summer season (with conservation at the end of the season).

Having decided on the frequency of the service, we proceed to its step-by-step execution:

1) We remove the spent sludge from the activated sludge stabilizer. This can be done in two ways:

but. Using the built-in mamut pump.

With the unit turned off, remove the mamut pump hose from the fixing clip and lead it outside the station, remove the plug by loosening the metal clamp at the end of the hose. We turn on the installation in the direct phase ( the float switch in the receiving chamber is forcibly raised). After pumping out about 50% of the volume (about 1 meter of liquid column) of the chamber into a previously prepared container, turn off the unit, fix the plug and fix the hose in its original position.

b. Using a sump pump.

We lower the pump with a hose to the bottom of the sludge stabilizer chamber, lower the end of the hose into a previously prepared container for collecting sludge or directly into the compost pit. We turn on the pump and pump out about 50% of the volume (about 1 meter of liquid column). We wash the walls of the sludge stabilizer from precipitation and fill it with clean water to the original level.

It is best to clean the walls of the chambers with high-pressure mini-washers, having previously covered the compressor compartment from water entering it during the washing process.

2) Using a drainage pump, we pump out about 20-30 cm of liquid from the bottom of the aerotank. We wash the walls of the aeration tank and the secondary sump from sediments and fill it with clean water to the original level. Remove from the fixing clips and clean the hair collector.

3) We wash the walls of the receiving chamber.

4) With the help of a net, we remove all non-decomposable mechanical debris from the station.

5) We disconnect the air hose and the main mamut - a pump that pumps from the receiving chamber to the aerotank and take it out by removing it from the fixing clip. We wash the mamut pump from the outside and clean it by supplying a pressure jet of water into the pump tube.

6) We disconnect the air hose and the coarse fraction filter, remove it by removing it from the fixing clip. We wash the filter from the outside and clean it by supplying a pressure jet of water into the filter pipe. We install the coarse filter and the main mamut pump in place, fixing them on the clips and connecting them to the air hoses.

In order not to confuse the hoses of the pump and the filter, they should be marked, for example, with electrical tape.

7) Clean the compressor air filter. To do this, unscrew the screw located on the top of the compressor, remove the cover and take out the air filter. We clean the filter by shaking it. Install the filter in place. Similarly, we clean the filter of the second compressor.

If the air filter is excessively dirty, it must be washed in water and reinstalled after drying.

After completing all the above steps, turn on the installation

As you can see, Bioxi maintenance can be freely done by hand. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend that the first service be carried out by the efforts of specialists, as they say: “It is better to see once than to read a hundred times on the Internet!”))
