Oblivion - Enchanting Armor

OT> No one will advise - the better to enchant a set of Daedric
OT> armor?

Why you asking? Mages usually enchant for mana, preferably transcendent
sigils. You can also absorb, atronachs can catch up to a hundred of him. But for magicians
daedric - bad manners. To carry this scrap metal, you may need to sew in strength
or a pen (my Persian walked in the lungs). Enchantment capacity - same as
heavy, and for light armor, and even rags. Meaning?

With best wishes Jurij

I have a melee swordsman who throws fireballs just for added fun.
I have a flashlight in my necklace, that's enough. I'm thinking about the "Shield"
increase in Strength, Dexterity or Swords. What would be smarter?

This is clear; I already have Azura's Star. The question is who to shove there. golden
Saints and these, with trunks, do not seem to be observed.

??>> And so - anything, at least detect life or a flashlight.
OT> I have a flashlight in my necklace, that's enough.
the flashlight is not very convenient, night vision is more useful. and more chill.
detect life radius 180 (sigilstone) - also very nice.

OT> I'm thinking about "Shield",
keep in mind that the maximum AC = 85.
a full set of intact Daedric gives comparable.
I practiced wearing a shield with a fire shield sewn into it. AC 28+25=53.
one more elemental shield 25% in some kind of gear - and the armor is unnecessary.

OT> increase in Strength,
increasing strength above 100 adds only carrying capacity.
moreover, the "feather" raises the carrying capacity more.

OT> Dexterity or Swords. What would be smarter?
similarly - there is absolutely no point in raising above 100,
and up to 100 you can shake.

OT> Does it make sense to shove a long Daedric sword?

??>>> By the way, is there a list of "weights" of souls somewhere?
??>> Yes. Only grand soul is of interest for enchantment.
OT> This is understandable; I already have Azura's Star. The question is who to shove there.
senior krich - the master level of the summon. with a soul size of 1600.
Gloom Wraith
Goblin Warlord
Lich
Minotaur Lord
Savage Orge
Xivilai

or NPCs (from black stones)
I preferred to summon the banshees.

??>> For enchanting items (not weapons) - sigils rule.
OT> While I have one and some bespontovy.
show-off sigilstones - give at hero level 17+
you can get plenty of them.
And if you play saveloads before taking a stone -
then you'll get what you need right away.

OT> Why are sigils better? Do they have more capacity?
effects are already sewn into them, and stronger
than you can get in Azura.
for example, a grand soul gives +24 mana, and a sigilstone +50.

The patient went on the mend. But didn't get there...

Useful bugs, tricks and small strategies for Oblivion on PC and Xbox360

All of the above that follows has been collected from many sites - these are tips from players around the world. Many of them can be useful and useful if you play Oblivion on PC or Xbox360. However, on PS3, it doesn’t hurt to at least try it.

Fight melee attacks

If a hand-to-hand combatant is heading towards you, climb onto the hill and shoot him with all available weapons.

If you are afraid of a big and scary melee that is coming right at you, then ... run.

Run and look for rocks, rocks - anything you can jump on.

So, climb to the very top and just shoot the enemy with arrows, fireballs - everything that is.

The poor fellow may live long, but he won't be able to defend himself.

How to get to you.

Your success is guaranteed!

Slow Items

If you're playing Oblivion and using different weapons, you may notice how quickly your inventory fills up.

If you're playing Oblivion like a true nerd and using different weapons, you may notice how quickly your inventory fills up. Well, and how much objects in general can slow you down, even if you still have two-thirds of the free space.

So, gentlemen, here's a good way for you to carry around a bunch of armor, potions, weapons - everything your darling wants, and even useless quest items that you, in general, didn't give up.

When you receive Shadowmere from the Dark Brotherhood, you automatically forget about all other horses in principle. Is that the animal rights activists will suffer.

So, beat Tenegriva until you pass out. His, not yours. And immediately, before he comes to his senses, search him as you would any enemy. Usually an unconscious character lying on the ground will only give you, uh, "Talk" to yourself. The horse you can search; press the left trigger and discard whatever you need to transfer. This is much better than carrying around any slag in your inventory during a battle.

This works on Xbox360 using horse armor; in other cases ... Well, check.

Proper selection of weapons

Carry different types of weapons with you at the same time: fiery, stunning, having a magical effect - and ordinary.

To hell with the various enemies in Oblivion, and remembering them all is simply unrealistic. And even more so their vulnerability to different elements and abilities. After the fifth level, you won’t get anywhere from enchanted weapons, so carry with you a simultaneous fiery, deafening, magical effect - and an ordinary, unenchanted one. Yes, all together. And with the weight, the Ease Burden spell, which can be bought in magic guilds, will help you.

Why is this? So that you do not feel stupid, hammering a fire-resistant enemy with a fire weapon and wondering what you will need to take with you next time. You meet the enemy - and start sorting out weapons one by one in search of vulnerabilities. Yes, sometimes the difference is pitiful units per hit. But somehow it can save your life.

Quickly close the Oblivion Gate

If you do not want to take a long bath with this or something else, then believe me, this is not difficult. Once you get into Oblivion, run as fast as you can and grab the Sigil Stone. Everything.

Quick Acrobatics Skill Upgrade

Well, who doesn't want to get a skill quickly? Exactly. Acrobatics is by no means an exception. Run to the stairs or the steep hill and just jump the way up. This way you will be in the air for a record short amount of time and quickly start a new jump. Voila!

To increase your Stealth skill, go to the Imperial City Arena, go to one of the sacred lotus ponds, and press Q (default) to enter Stealth mode.

The same egg, only in profile.

Go to the Imperial City Arena, go to one of the sacred lotus ponds and press Q (by default) to enter Stealth mode.

There are guards behind the door, so the skill will increase.

You do not worry - go, drink coffee, let the brave hero run while on the courts, think about his behavior, learn to hide well.

By the way, if Stealth is a profiling skill, then your level will increase.

Take note.

fun in the air

Well, finally, t, this is not a hint. But it's fun.

Jump up next to the NPC and start a conversation with him. And as long as he talks to you, you... stay in the air. It's a pity, but when you leave the conversation, you will also fall. Sadness.

Duplicate Items

To duplicate any item in your inventory, you will need a bow and at least two of any arrows.

To duplicate any item in your inventory, you will need a bow and at least two arrows - any. Stretch the string and, leaving the bow in this state, go into inventory. You need to remove equipped arrows from the active cell; then a message will appear stating that you cannot remove the weapon during the attack.

After that, select the item you want to copy and discard it.

After exiting the inventory, you will find that there is as much dropped item on the ground as arrows were equipped.

This only works if there were more arrows equipped than there were items you wanted to copy. That is, if there are two arrows, and, for example, three keys, it will not work. Before opening inventory, make sure the bow is fully drawn.

This doesn't work on most enchanted and rare items either, but there are exceptions.

They say that if you double-click on a magic scroll, and then throw the item away, the effect will be the same ... But this is not certain.

Kill Umbra and take her armor and sword

To kill Umbra and take her equipment, jump on the destroyed pillar in the square and shoot her. Well… Everything. The sword that devours souls is yours.

Quick increase in Stealth skill

There is another way, yes. Enter the house where someone is sleeping, go into stealth mode, and then go into the wall. Into the wall Into the wall And don't stop.

In my opinion, the option of drinking coffee is still preferable.

Reminder

Play Oblivion as if you were in this world, living the life of the character you created.

Just a little reminder that Oblivion is a sandbox where you can and should have fun.

Many gamers try to play Oblivion the way they played any other RPG - Final Fantasy, Neverwinter Nights, Diablo... They think they're playing a game with standard features and objectives.

However, Oblivion must be played as if you are in this world, living the life of the character you have created. When someone says they didn't like Oblivion, but they liked other RPGs, it usually comes down to a desire to stupidly follow directions: tasks in a journal, a strictly built plot ...

Only here in Oblivion you create your own story. And, realizing this, you will greatly facilitate your gameplay. You just have to make choices as you would in real life - and don't be afraid to make mistakes.

The most fun for me usually started when I was about to be caught, or when I was not strong enough to win the fight - and I had to get out and come up with something unusual. No, really, Oblivion is a huge sandbox where you can both build your little world out of sand and destroy it to hell! Do not be shy.

Light Enemies While Playing

If you want enemies to be easier to defeat, simply create a new character and choose as your main skills those that you hardly use or don't use at all. Yes, you will not be particularly pumped - like the opponents you will meet.

Tired of being overloaded?

To reduce weight, you can make potions that will reduce weight, though not for long.

Unfortunately, this advice does not apply to real life, but only to games.

In general, there are several tips. One of them requires a more or less pumped Alchemy skill and access to the Arcana University.

The simplest solution is to enchant a weapon or piece of armor to increase strength or decrease weight.

There is more difficult - through alchemy. If you have the skill level, you can make potions that will reduce the weight by hundreds.

True, only for a few minutes. And if you drink several potions at a time, you can lose weight over 1200 units for more than 500 seconds.

Quickly kill ten bears

In order to get a bear, you can lure it into the garden, and then shoot it with a bow or fill it with spells.

If you have problems with pumping, and you nevertheless committed to kill ten wild bears for the farmer, then you should not despair.

Go for a walk, and when you run into a bear, run as fast as you can back to the farm. And then head to the fenced garden.

The bear will chase you. And when he's in the garden, run outside before he kills you and slam the door behind you.

Everything. The bear is trapped, and now you can shoot him with a bow or spell. Repeat ten times.

Easy killing minotaur lords

The Minotaur Lord is the most complex and expensive monster.

Once you have passed through all the steps to the title of Grand Champion of the Arena and become one, you will be able to fight against certain monsters once a week for a certain fee. The most complex - and expensive - of these is the Minotaur Lord. It comes to the point that you can oppose three of these peppers at a time.

The trick is to run back to the exit to the Arena at the very beginning of the battle: the minotaur lords are simply too gigantic to crawl through after you. And since they don't have long-range weapons, you become unreachable.

You will need a bow and at least about 50 arrows. Well, or a good arsenal of attacking spells. Voila - without any problems, the minotaur lords were defeated. And for your torment, you get at least 2000 gold. Agree, it's quite good.

Solving problems with Eloquence

Things will become much easier when you join the Arcana University (mutka with the Mages Guild). You just need to create a very cheap spell: increase Charm (Charm) by 100 points for 2 seconds. It's really cheap. This will solve all possible problems with Eloquence. This is insanely useful in terms of Trade.

Gold from Count Skingrad

The Count of Skingrad is very distracted - which is what needs to be done.

Oh, this Count of Skingrad is very distracted - and it will do you good.

When you finish the vampire quest (the one where you are cured of your vampirism), he will offer you a reward for saving his wife from suffering.

Only now he will not remember that he has already awarded you.

Ask him for 2500 gold again and again.

You will quickly be able to afford that ohhhhhhof that lovely house or upgrade your Alchemy or Commerce skill, which are pretty slow to fill up.

It's easier to win battles

The easiest way to defeat the AI is to climb to a high point where the enemy cannot reach you.

The easiest way to defeat the AI is to climb to a high point (like a rock) where the enemy can't reach you.

The pumped Acrobatics skill is very useful here - you can easily jump to where no one will ever touch you.

Well, now use long-range attacks - magic and arrows to help.

Well, what if the enemy is also a trucker? See if you can hide behind cover or at least dance around something without going down.

If you fall or the enemy somehow rises towards you, try doing the same thing again in the same place - or find a better place.

Best light armor for beginners

Best Light Armor for Beginners - Bruzef Amelion Armor Set

Probably the best light armor you can get at the beginning. Go to Leyawiin (a town in the south). Right outside the city you will find the Tomb of Amelions - in the north, on the east bank of the "river". Follow the right side of the river and you will be happy.

Inside will be a whole set of Bruzef Amelion's armor. They increase resistance to frost damage, the sword adds 5 cold damage. Believe me, at the beginning of the game it's just great. And it looks pretty. Pieces of armor are scattered throughout the tomb, but finding them is not difficult.

Just leave the cuirass and sword in your inventory later - a quest will be associated with this tomb, and if you don’t have them, you will lose a thousand gold.

You don’t have a house, but do you have to leave garbage (and not only) somewhere? Use rooftops. Country houses are especially good for this purpose; they can usually be jumped from slopes or rocks. Items do not lie in the inventory, NPCs do not climb roofs, so your things will be safe and sound.

But it’s not worth shoving anything into random containers - when the game is restarted, everything can simply self-destruct.

+5 to favorite stats

Oh, this is puzzling. The issue is resolved through the console. Will you risk? Forward.

Open the console (key "~") and enter "setdebugtext 10", then add "TDT" - these commands will display all the information about your skills and show how much is left before the skill leveling. By entering "TDT" again and again, you can open and close this information.

Have you played enough? Look at how many points you have earned in each attribute.

For example, if it says STRENGTH: 10, it means that you have received 10 points of strength, which means that you will receive another +5 after leveling up. If you manage to take advantage of this and choose your profiling skills wisely, it will be quite easy to have +5 to the selected stats during each level up.

Easily increase Stealth and Athletics

To increase the Stealth and Athletics skill - rest your forehead against a wall or corner and turn on the autorun.

These two skills can be well pumped at the same time. Stealth increases when you fulfill the following three conditions at the same time: you have at least one NPC near you, you remain undetected (the eye icon is dark), you move. Achieving this is very simple: just find a wall or corner next to which there is an NPC who is not looking at you.

Well, a guard or a goblin in a cave would be perfect. Did you find this? Fine. Enter stealth mode, rest your forehead against a wall or corner, and turn on autorun. Well, autorun, as you like. The hero will continue to move into the barrier, while remaining in stealth, and at this time you can calmly admire how your skill grows. Just don't forget to get rid of all light sources first: spells, torches... And remember: if your Stealth is less than 50, take off your shoes, otherwise you will be noticed.

Athletics, even without being the main skill, stuffs even easier. All you have to do is walk or run. Well, you understand, right? You rest against a wall - better in a corner, so as not to turn anywhere - and use the autorun. Thus the displacement is zero, but the velocity is not. This means that you are rocking yourself calmly, as if traveling. Also, you automatically provide yourself with +5 speed when you catch the next level-up.

Story above all else

In open world games, as a rule, everyone dilutes the storyline with the help of side quests and exploring locations. However, in Oblivion, things will have to be done a little differently. To be more precise, quite the opposite. The fact is that with the performance of various tasks you are pumped, and at the end of the game your opponents will automatically be of the same level as you. But the allies with whom you go will remain low-level, and therefore die with ease. And you probably won't be able to finish the game.

100% invisibility

First of all, you need to be able to enter the Arcane University - for this you need to complete at least one Mages Guild quest. Then make sure you have five large soul gems. Yes, it is difficult, but very important. Now enchant five pieces of armor with Chameleon. Congratulations, you are completely invisible! Enemies will not attack you, and the guards will not notice that you are stealing something. Check it out if you don't believe me.

Is there a threat?

If you are not sure if you should be afraid of an attack, quickly enter stealth mode. If the crosshairs of the sight are yellow, then look around: the enemy is somewhere nearby.

Loot storage in bones

Perhaps the most heartbreaking thing about Oblivion is when you have to part with valuable loot due to overload. This problem can be solved by killing a collapsing enemy - for example, a skeleton or a lightning atronach.

Take a fragment from the corpse of a fallen enemy using the "Z" key. In a small bone, you can store as much loot as you need. Don't forget to bring it back to town to sell or keep for later.

Seeking cover under fire

When you're being stormed hard in the abandoned tower, run up the stairs to the very top.

When you're being stormed hard in the abandoned tower, run up the stairs to the very top.

There you can jump onto a ledge where the enemies can't reach you.

There you will have time to heal and prepare for the second run.

It's also a great vantage point to gauge the number of enemies - not just for tactical purposes, but also, um... aesthetically.

Always immediately try to mark such safe places.

It can be high cliffs that are not easy to reach, destroyed walls ... Sometimes it can even reach the roofs of buildings.

Slight increase in Alchemy skill

Alchemy, oddly enough, is one of the most easily pumped skills. Duplicate the necessary ingredients (it is written above how) and start preparing potions. Lots of potions. And yes, these potions can also be sold, and not cheap ...

Life hack for the quest "Through the Nightmare"

For a successful passage, reload until you get a weapon with 80 damage and an enchantment for nine times the use of weapon disintegration.

For those in the tank: a quest from the Mages Guild in which you need to free Henantier from the world of his dreams. It's about the Test of Perseverance. First, it's worth saying that if you have the Acrobatics skill, you can jump onto the balcony without a ladder and bypass the battle with two minotaurs. If this skill is not enough for you ... Let's move on to the second point.

Save before starting the Trial. The fact is that weapons spawn randomly, that is, each time is different. Yes, the lightning staff will always be in place, but the other two ... Randoooom!

Got a not-so-good set? Reboot. Reload until you get a weapon with 80 damage and an enchantment for nine times the use of weapon disintegration. Now you can destroy minotaur hammers, and everything will be much easier. This is especially noticeable at higher difficulty levels.

Lots of free money

After you become the Grand Champion of the Arena, you will have the opportunity to fight with one, two or three minotaur lords.

This thing will provide you with a minimum of 6000 gold per week. After you become the Grand Champion of the Arena, you will have the opportunity to fight with one, two or three minotaur lords. Actually, these guys are hard to put down. But go ahead and take three at once. But when the gates go down, run not forward to the arena, but back.

Minotaurs simply won't fit into your corridor because of their huge heads. It is enough to step back and throw spells at them or run up to them with a sword, beat them and run back so as not to get hit.

If you start to lose health, back off. Wait until the mana is restored, heal up and ... Again.

You will receive 3200 gold for the victory and will be able to pick up three weapons that the minotaurs leave behind - usually axes, hammers, etc. Selling cheap.

Almost easy to increase your Speech skill

Pretty quick and easy way to level up Eloquence - only for Xbox360 though. Start a conversation with someone and try to convince them. Start the circle mini-game - it doesn't matter if you understand what to do in it or not. Just spin the circle and press A without stopping. You can do this for a very long time. You can relax and watch TV. The main thing is to continue to twist and press. It doesn't matter how the NPC reacts there. Well, something like this...

Enemies don't like eyebrows

Well, eyebrows. Borders. Like invisible barriers between locations. As some oldfags remember, in Morrowind, opponents could not move to another zone. In Oblivion, this seems to have been fixed ... Or not?

It turned out that aggressive NPCs can indeed cross the boundaries between locations. But they very rarely do this in large groups. Sometimes they don't do it at all. This is especially noticeable in Kvatch if you enter a location with about six hostile Daedric subjects. You can just turn around and leave - one will follow you, the rest ...

Further experiments showed that the enemies go out of the zone one by one, maximum two.

Rule and humiliate, gentlemen.

Free cool horse

The game gives you the opportunity to get a unicorn or a horse.

To get a free horse or even a unicorn, head south of the Imperial City across the moat until you see a camp on your compass.

Enter it and go south again until you see Hircine's shrine, then go south again into an open field, kill the three minotaurs and...

Here it is, the unicorn.

Fast and strong!

Just do not attack him, otherwise he will never let you ride on himself.

Choose the Journeyman as the mage's birth sign

When starting a game as a mage, always choose Journeyman as their birthmark. In the end, this will allow you to cast master spells that require 500+ mana points.

Well fed crab

On the road from Skingrad to the Imperial City, there is a cave called "Green Meadow". You will have to wander inside, but in the end you will find a crab that has already eaten even the grandmother who cooked it.

Secrets of the game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

It also includes the use of special altar for charging subjects to the University e Secret arts. To implement this method, the following standard procedures must be followed. Select an item to charge, select one or more magical effects to “attach them to the item”, determine the parameters of these effects, select the source of magical power to charge and give the item a name. After all this, you need to press the button for creating a magic item and voila! Item is ready.

All weapon effects have an action type "on impact"(on strike), i.e. triggered on hitting a target. Total charge such effects divided into unit charges. Each single use of the item (hitting the target) consumes a single charge. Accordingly, the maximum number of "magic hits" that can be produced by a weapon is equal to the ratio of the total charge to the value of a unit charge. Upon reaching this amount, the item must be recharged. Upon impact, a message will appear stating that the item does not have enough magical power. The magnitude of the total charge depends on the strength of the charge source.

Magic effects on clothes, armor, rings, amulets and other jewelry have the form of an action "permanent effect"(constant use ). That is, the total charge is not divided into unit charges. And in general, these characteristics in this case are not applicable. Effects last forever - as long as you wear them, or until they are worn out.

Magic effects on magic staves have the form of an action "by use"(cast upon use) , i.e. are triggered when you use a staff (although in the game it is the "attack" button - by default, the left mouse button). At the same time, a single charge flies out of the staff, and the rest is like a weapon. Magic staffs are ranged weapons, just like the bow. However, using it does not increase your skills. In addition, a magic staff can only be made by completing the quest of the same name for the Mages Guild.

Stage 1. Altar activation . Most charging altars are located at the University of the Arcane Arts. Three altars in Kai ranesium (Chironasium) and one in the chambers of the Arch-mage. To use the first three, you must gain access to the University, i.e. receive recommendations from the bosses of all guild branches. The last - only when you yourself become an Archmage. To activate the altar, you need to move the mouse over the altar (a fist icon will appear) and click the "use" button. After that, the "Main menu of the altar" will open, see fig. above.

Brief description of the main menu from top to bottom from left to right:

1 line: information about the current charging parameters: magic power of a single strike 32 , number of strokes 28 , charging price 320 , your cash 1747822 .

2nd line: the name of the item ("My new weapon").

3rd line: on the left - the selection field of the subject ("Languorwine Blade"), on the right - the selection field of the soul stone and information about the power of the soul located in it.

4th line: on the left is the effect selection field, on the right is the selected effects field. When you click on the name of the effect in that field, a menu for setting the effect parameters will appear.

Button "Create" (Create)- creates a spell.

Button "Exit" (Exit)- exit the altar menu.

Stage2 . Item selection . Items only non-magical armor, jewelry, and weapons can be charged. For armor and jewelry, the type of action of the magic effect is automatically selected"permanent effect"(constant use ). For weapons - "on impact"(on strike) . To finish off an item, you need to click in the field called "Add Item" ( Add Item) . The blade is selected in the figure Languorwine Blade.

Stage 3 . Choice source of magical energy . The power of the magical source equal to , trapped in a soul gem. The soul of each creature can be a source of magical power, the amount of this power depends on the spiritual power of the creature (in the figure, the strength of the soul is 900 - I just have the "triple improvement of soul stones" mod connected). This force determines the total charge of the object, and hence the number of unit charges. In addition, the minimum number of single charges in the game is set to 10...12 . This is done to limit the power of a single charge, otherwise you could bring down any creature with one hit. Unlike Morrow Windows, the price of the charged item does not affect the total charge, since all items in Oblivion are very cheap.

Note. For permanent effects, the power limit is set based on the creature's spiritual power. The more “stronger” the soul, the greater the percentage of the effect . The maximum effect corresponds to 100%.

Stage 3 . Choice effects . effects you can use only those that, firstly, are known to the hero (there is in the spell book), and secondly, the hero has enough corresponding magic skill to use them. All available effects are displayed in the left column called "Available Effects"( Applicable Effects). Checking the possibility of using a magical effect for charging is very simple: try casting a spell with this effect. If successful, the effect of this spell can be used to charge. The selected effects for charging are displayed in the right column under the name "Added Effects"( Added Effects). In the figure, the effects "Fire Damage" are selected ( fire damage ) and "Catch the Soul" ( soul trap).

Notes:

1. Unfortunately, not all effects can be used to enchant items. For example, you cannot make an item with a permanent Restore Health effect.

2. For use of the devastating combination of Weakness and Damage effects, see .

3. For information on how to get rare effects, see .

4. Important! There can only be one effect on clothes!

Stage 4 . Settings effect . Effect setting current " on impact"is to choose three options: effect strength ( Magnitude) , duration effect actions ( duration) And region effect actions ( area) . The parameters are set using "sliders". The following is shown below:

After the icon () - the value of a unit charge, and in brackets - its maximum possible value. It is a multiple of 5 and is equal to the ratio of the magical power of the soul to the minimum number of hits, which is in the range of 10...12.

After the icon () - the number of hits until the item is completely discharged,

After the icon () - the price of charging the item.

After the icon () - your cash.

Stage 6 . Item creation . Price charging depends on the effect and its parameters. No money - no item. In the figure, the charging price is 320 rubles. Charging increases the price of the item by the amount of the charging cost:

charge_cost = Strength_of_effect * Barter_factor(barter factor see Magic Effects section).

The price of the enchanted may change during use, because. It also depends on how fully charged it is. The increase in the price of a weapon from charging is equal to:

0.4 * (charge_cost+ item_charge ).

True, there are some exceptions.

As a conclusion - Don't forget to call the item and turn off the altar when you're done!

2.2. How to capture the soul of a creature

First, you must have a soul gem in your inventory. Secondly, you must have the "Catch a Soul" effect in any form. i.e. either a usable spoken spell in a magic book, or a spell scroll, or a loaded weapon with this effect.

The technology is simple activate the effect "Catch the Soul"(cast a spell, hit the target with a loaded weapon) and kill a creature during the duration of the spell. When doing this, consider the range of the spell. If it is “on touch”, then you need to come close to the creature when the spell is activated, if “on target”, then you need to hit the creature with this magic, it is not necessary to approach. Now, to keep within the duration of the spell, you can activate it when the creature has very little life left. And the last thing about the effect "Catch the Soul". The higher the Mystic skill, the longer the duration of the spell can be used, making it easier to capture souls.

2.3. Soul Stones

2.3.1. Classification of soul stones

The larger the volume of the stone, the "big" soul can be caught in it.

* The only kind of stone that can trap a human soul.

** Allows multiple use.

All stones, except Azura's Star, are one-time use, i.е. after using the soul to charge or recharge an item, the stone disappears, and you will have to get or buy a stone again. But praise to the great Nine - deliveries of stones to merchants are regular (i.e. stones appear again from those from whom they were bought).

2.3.2. Black Soul Gems

Ordinary soul gems can only capture the souls of creatures. Souls of humans and Dremora can only be trapped in black soul gems. These stones are used in the same way as ordinary ones. Their volume is equal to the volume of huge soul stones - 1600. The soul of a person and Dremora also has a "strength" of 1600. Note that you can catch the soul of any creature in them. So, be careful when you catch souls. If there is no free space for the soul of some animal, it will fit into a black stone, and it is a rarity. Moreover, the soul will fit into it sooner than even into the Star of Azura of the same volume. Black gems have "catch priority" over Azura's Star.

2.3.3. How to get black soul gems

2.3.4. Azura's Star

This is the most powerful soul gem in the game. In terms of volume, it is equal to a huge stone of souls, but it works like a reusable one, i.e. does not disappear after reloading or charging items, like a giant soul gem. But Azura's Star cannot be crafted into a black soul gem. This means that the souls of people and Dremora cannot be caught in it.

How to get it read in the description Azura statue quest. The thing is very useful - don't give it to Martin! He will manage with some Rose of Sanguine. The main trouble is that the soul caught in the Star of Azura cannot be released just like that. The only way to release a soul from a Star is by using it when charging or recharging magic items.

Note. The star has a greater attraction for souls than a huge soul stone, i.e. the soul will fit into Azura's Star faster than into a huge soul stone . However, black stones have a higher attraction than Azura's Star.

2.4. Classification of souls by volume and level of magicalenergy

Special Souls

(Special Souls)

1600 5

The souls of all humans, vampires, real Daedra and Dremora can only be trapped in black soul gems.

The soul chooses the smallest suitable stone, so be careful. If there is no free small stone for a small soul, it will fit into the next largest one, and this may be a huge stone. If there is no suitable place for the soul (there are no stones, they are all filled or small for the soul), a message will appear stating that the hero has no place in the inventory for the soul - "There is no soul gem in your inventory capable of holding such a soul." One stone can contain one soul.

After completing the last quest for the Guild of Mages, you can get an artifact Staff of Worms, which can resurrect any creatures and people for 30 seconds. After that, they die on their own, i.e. kill the creature once, and then resurrect it several times and after each resurrection again and again catch its soul.

3. Magic Weapon Reloading

1. In the Guild of Mages at the relevant workers (see The Mages Guild in full glory!). But it is expensive: for 1 point of power - 1 ruble. This is robbery. So, if the sword has a charge of 10,000, then fully charging it from scratch will cost 10,000 rubles, i.e. approximately $370.

2. With stone Varla (Varla stone). This stone can be found in Ayleid Ruins. He is white. It costs 1000 rubles. Using it will allow you to reload all the weapons that are currently in your inventory. Now think - is it worth selling?

Yes, and do not confuse it with a stone Welkynd stone, which replenishes the hero's Mana. Welkynd is smaller and has a turquoise color. And remember - all these stones are unique. They are in strictly defined places, do not reappear like ingredients, and are not related to the level of the hero.

3. You can reload a weapon using the soul of a creature trapped in a stone. And that's where Azura's Star is indispensable!

4. Miscellaneous

4. 1. Effects on armor and clothing

Effects on clothing and armor have a permanent effect, and such items can only have one effect. The level of the soul gem determines both the strength of the effect and the charge cost:

Effect_strength = ( base_price * Charging_Factor_permanent_effect* Soul_Level ) + fMagicCEEnchantMagOffset

For the base price, see the Magic Effects section. Soul level is a number from 1 to 5, and corresponds to the amount of magical energy of the soul.

fMagicCEEnchantMagOffset - coefficient depending on game settings(default is 5.0). The table below shows some of the movement effects on items and their strength for each soul type..

Charging_Factor_permanent_effect - a variable that is introduced for effects that have a permanent effect on clothing and armor. It can be viewed through the editor. CS . For many effects, this variable is 0. For others, see Magical Effects.

The formula for calculating the price of charging armor / clothing is not exactly known to the author, but something like this:

Enchantment_Cost = Effect_Strength*EFS*Effect_Duration.

FSPE - Constant effect cost factor.

Dependence of the effect strength on the item and the cost of charging the item on the size of the soul (for the most common effects)

In Oblivion, you can apply a magical effect to an item in two ways:

1. Use Sigil Stone, obtained by closing the gates of Oblivion.

Each sigil carries two specific magical effects: "on impact" and "on itself". The strength of the effect is determined by the quality of the stone, and the quality directly depends on the level of the hero until he reaches level 17, after which the player always receives transcendental sigils.

2. Use Soulgem and Altar of Enchanting.

Altars are available at the Arcane University - public access and in the chambers of the archmage, as well as in the Frostcrag tower from the official Wizard's Tower plugin. In order to get to the University, the hero must be a full member of the Mages Guild, t i.e. complete the initial chain of the corresponding quest group. The player himself chooses what magic effect will be applied to the item. The strength of the magic effect, as in the case of the sigil, is determined by the quality of the stone used, however, even a 1st level player can get great soul stones. Note that several magical effects can be applied to weapons.

Any non-magical weapon, shield, armor, clothing, ring, or amulet can be used to enchant. Clothes, armor, shields, jewelry are given a permanent effect, and the weapon is "discharged" with each hit. After the charges are over, the magic effect ceases to operate. Weapons can be recharged for money in the Mages Guilds or on their own by spending a soul filled stone or using a varla stone from the Ayleid ruins.

There are no non-magical staves in the game. The player will have the opportunity to choose the enchantment for the staff for the only time (see GM quests).

A detailed description of each type of enchantment can be found in the relevant sections:

Although the set of effects that can be applied to an item using sigils is limited, but magic is much more powerful. Here is a table comparing some enchantments (with a permanent effect) using a great soul stone and a transcendental sigil stone:

There are magical effects that you cannot give your things with the help of an altar, but you can with the help of a sigil - these are Resist Magic (Magic Resistance) and Spell Absorption (Spell Absorption).

Merchants don't sell spells with the "Skill" effect, but you will gain the ability to create such spells yourself and enchant items if you get any ability with this effect, for example, visit the Jone Stone (see section

You can only find Altars of Enchantment in TES 4: Oblivion without add-ons at the Arcane University in the Imperial City. Only full members of the Mages Guild can enter the Temple of Science.

In order to give an item a magical effect, you must not only learn, but also be able to use a spell with such an effect. Suppose you are a beginner in the School of Destruction and know the spell Spark (Spark), then you will easily create a weapon that shocks. If your spellbook only has Shock (Shock) that is not yet available, then you will not be able to use it for enchantment. In addition to spells, you will need a filled soul gem, a non-magical item, and, of course, money. The power of the effect depends only on the quality of the soul stone and does not depend on your intelligence, or on the degree of advancement in a particular school of magic, or on the quality of the item itself.

The list of magical effects that you can give an item using an altar is given in the table. If there is no checkmark in the column with the letter "E", this means that the effect is not available regardless of whether you know such a spell or not. So, for example, it is impossible to create armor that constantly restores health or magic.

The processes for enchanting weapons and all other items of clothing, including the shield, differ significantly.

You can enchant armor, clothes, shields, rings and amulets for only one effect, acting on yourself, but permanent. A weapon can be enchanted with multiple effects of varying duration.

The process goes like this: you go to the altar, activate it. Select an item from your inventory, insert a battery, i.e. filled soul gem, determine the effect(s) and name of the item. Press the button and accept congratulations if you have enough money.

After enchanting, an item always has 100% durability, no matter how worn it was before. If the item was stolen, then after enchantment it is released from the "stolen" tag.

Below is a table of the power of enchanting things for a permanent effect. In the second line, in parentheses, the cost of creating an item in sevenths is indicated.

Permanent effects are unequal. It makes no sense to create a thing with a "feather" effect, since increasing the strength will not only allow you to carry the same amount, but also give an increase in damage. It is also unwise to enchant items to increase intelligence: an increase in mana is a maximum of 20, and you will not receive other effects.

Pay attention to the ability to give purely negative effects to wearable items. So, by enchanting the mage's weightless hood to permanently lower health and placing it on an enemy, you can play a cruel joke with him.

By enchanting a ring to "Destroy" armor or weapons, you can damage your own property and then repair it, improving the skill of a gunsmith.
