Literature tests for the exam year. Preparation for the exam in literature. The new exam in literature has already been launched

The unified state exam in literature is one of the most difficult. According to statistics, no more than 5% of students choose it. The thing is that the tasks are drawn up with the expectation of the program of specialized humanitarian classes and schools. Previously, before the introduction of the Unified State Examination, an exam in the form of an essay was mandatory and 2 grades were immediately given for it - in literature and the Russian language. Now, passing the unified state exam in literature is a rather difficult task for a graduate of an ordinary school, since the questions cover topics studied in specialized classes, and the structure of the ticket itself changes every year.

Most teachers are unanimous in their opinion that in order to successfully pass the exam in literature in the 2017-2018 academic year, it is not enough just to read all the works from the list of the school curriculum and be able to correctly express your thoughts. Professional training is required, taking into account the specifics of currently relevant CIMs.

In this article we will tell:

Having successfully passed the unified state exam in the Russian language, mathematics at a basic or profile level (depending on the requirements of the university) and literature, a graduate can choose various directions for himself.

In 2018, such a set of subjects will provide an opportunity to enter the vast majority of creative areas:

  • faculty of journalism or military journalism. Journalism is the most popular humanitarian field with great job prospects. In most universities there is a huge competition for this specialty. In addition to literature, in most cases, a certificate in a foreign language will also be required;
  • consistently high competition for a place and for universities that train translators (respectively, it is necessary to pass the Unified State Examination in a foreign language);
  • linguistic and philological faculties;
  • to universities that train translators (accordingly, passing the exam in a foreign language is required);
  • faculty of journalism or military journalism (some universities also required a certificate in a foreign language);
  • faculties teaching creative specialties: graphics, painting, sculpture, restoration, design, vocals, choreography, theater arts, etc. (an additional creative competition is mandatory in many universities);
  • faculties that provide education as a producer, sound engineer, cinematographer (a certificate in mathematics of a specialized level is required).

It is worth deciding on the list of required subjects even before the start of the 2017-2018 academic year, having familiarized yourself with the requirements for applicants of a particular faculty, which can be found on the official website of the corresponding higher educational institution.

All the changes that will be made in 2018, as well as the most up-to-date information about the Unified State Examination in Literature, can also always be found on our portal.

Changes in the exam in literature in 2018

As part of the improvement of KIMs, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has developed a radically new promising model of USE tickets in literature and, most likely, already in 2018, graduates will have to face a number of innovations:

  1. Questions with a short answer are completely excluded from the tickets.
  2. The number of tasks of the participant's choice has increased.
  3. In tasks for comparison, it will be necessary to compare the text with only 1 work (previously there were 2).
  4. Essays will be checked more carefully, and the verification criteria will be tightened.
  5. The minimum length of a detailed answer is 50 words, and essays - 250 words (essays that are less than 200 words are rated at 0 points).

You can also learn about innovations in the Unified State Examination in Literature by watching a video interview with Dmitry Bak, professor at the Russian State University for the Humanities:

235 minutes are given to complete all tasks.

The minimum passing score is 32 points.

To get an “excellent” rating, you need to score more than 67 points.

When evaluating the essay, the members of the commission will rely on the following criteria:

  1. Depth of understanding of the problem and the presence of their own thoughts. The content of the answers is the main thing. Correct spelling and punctuation do not affect the answer, but speech errors, violation of lexical norms, will take away points.
  2. The level of theoretical and literary knowledge of the examinee.
  3. Validity of the quoted excerpts from the works.
  4. Logic and consistency of presentation.
  5. Compliance with the norms and rules of the Russian language.

List of works for passing the exam in literature

One of the most pressing issues that concerns 11th graders is the list of works that need to be thoroughly studied in order to successfully pass the exam in literature in the upcoming 2018.

Indeed, the main difficulty of the exam is the need to possess a sufficiently large amount of information, because the USE codifier in literature lists:

  • over 150 poems;
  • 11 novels;
  • 9 poems;
  • 6 plays;
  • 4 stories;
  • about 20 stories.

A complete list of works can be found in the "codifiers" section of the official USE website.

Preparation for the exam in literature

It is important to understand that high-quality preparation for the exam is not only about getting to know the meaning of various works, because in order to successfully pass the literature exam in 2018, you will need:

  • deep understanding of the essence of the problems raised by different authors;
  • possession of information about the portraits and characters of the characters;
  • the ability to draw parallels between the plot of the work and the spiritual experiences of the author;
  • the presence of one's own opinion and the ability to defend and justify it;
  • knowledge of the history of literature.

That is why it is necessary to read novels, short stories, poems, plays, short stories and other literary works in the original, and not according to criticism, but in the process of reading, pay attention to the little things and keep a reader's diary in which to write down the basic information that will be needed when reading. preparing for the exam and writing essays.

  1. Write as many practice essays as possible, building for yourself certain templates for various topics.
  2. Create a card for each writer with key dates and important information.
  3. Think about the problems of the works.
  4. Do not be lazy to write out phrases that can be used in essays.
  5. If something is very difficult to remember, use diagrams and sketches.

Changes in the system of conducting the Unified State Exam in 2018 have been known for a long time. For the first time, the former head of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Litvinov, announced big changes. In particular, innovations will affect USE in Literature 2018.

The new exam, which will be taken by all graduates of the 2017-2018 academic year, will consist entirely of creative assignments. According to the current Minister of Education of Russia Olga Vasilyeva, next year a new promising model of the unified state exam, specially developed by leading specialists of the FIPI Institute, will come into force.

FIPI has finished testing the new model of the unified state exam in literature and 2018 graduates will already take the exam in a completely new way.

Employees of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements took drastic measures, completely excluding test items from KIM. What other innovations await the already anxious 11th graders?

There will be no more short answer questions.

To begin with, let's figure out which are the most important in literature. So, as mentioned above, the tests were extracted from the exam.

The reasons for such a step were found - according to the developers of the new method, tests do not represent any difficulty for the graduate, being an extra element of assessment. In test tasks, there is a high probability of “guessing” the correct answer, which FIPI experts in no way agree with.

In the Unified State Examination in Literature, there will no longer be open-ended test questions, where the student is required to answer in one word or in the form of digital sequences.

Today's exam has twelve such questions out of the total. Most of these questions test the graduate's knowledge of the basic terms of literary criticism.

However, schoolchildren these days are well versed in these points. In addition, tasks that require detailed written answers are already designed to operate with terms, so additional verification of this knowledge is not required.

To the great sadness of graduates, they lose the guaranteed opportunity to score points on mere thorough knowledge of terminology. In addition, the strategy of C students to get off with "little blood" completely collapses, that is, to do only one part with tasks that require short answers. Starting in 2018, every examinee will be expected to demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and beautifully.

Increase in the number of optional tasks

From now on, graduates will have a wider choice of options: instead of three tasks for a detailed essay, there will be four. That is, you will need to take one topic from an increased list. Having received this or that work for the “big” essay, the student can choose which question it will be more interesting for him to answer.

The volume of writing will grow

In the "main" essay, the minimum amount of required text will be increased. In the current exam in literature, the minimum volume is 200 words, but in a year it will be necessary to “put” at least 250 words on paper.

Also, the developers of the new method came to the decision to specify the requirements for mini-essays. If now there are no strict conditions regarding the number of words in such essays (when writing mini-essays there is a recommendation of 5-10 sentences), then by 2018 the FIPI plans to set a minimum length of 50 words. This requirement will apply to both comparative tasks and text analysis tasks.

Simplifying Matching Jobs

The changes also affected the tasks for the so-called "immersion in the literary context." If today in the Unified State Examination in Literature it is proposed to compare a text with two texts, thereby showing your horizons as a reader, then in 2018 it is proposed to abolish the task, mentioning only one text for comparison.

Evaluation criteria are specified

Now, when there are no tasks with short answers in the Unified State Examination in Literature, automatic verification has become impossible. In light of this, the developers of a promising method of a unified examination in literature faced an important task - how to achieve the most objective assessment of a student's knowledge?

Now the exam in literature consists of five essays, which brings it closer to the "traditional" school final exam. Experts approached the matter seriously, various meetings are held where wishes and suggestions are expressed for the approach to evaluating works. Presumably, by the time of delivery, we will know the final decision of the FIPI specialists.

The new exam in literature has already been launched

In the academic year 2015-2016, a trial exam in literature was held with some changes. More than 1,000 schoolchildren from 60 educational institutions in 13 subjects of the Federation took part in the "experiment".

In the course of testing a new approach to passing the exam in literature, it was found that 94% of teachers were in favor of introducing an updated exam. In addition, experts emphasize the fact that the new model does not differ too much from the previous one in its complexity. In other words, schoolchildren should not worry - it will not become fundamentally more difficult to pass the exam in literature in 2018.

The purpose of the demonstration version of literature is to enable any USE participant and the general public to get an idea of the structure of future KIM, the number of tasks, their form and level of complexity.

The given criteria for evaluating the performance of tasks with a detailed answer, included in this option, give an idea of the requirements for the completeness and correctness of writing a detailed answer.

Changes in KIM USE 2018 in literature compared to 2017

The criteria for evaluating detailed answers have been improved and brought closer to the OGE. Simplified algorithm of actions of the expert when evaluating detailed answers of different types; greater transparency in the formation of marks for individual tasks and work as a whole (for an expert and an examinee) was ensured. The changes are aimed at increasing the objectivity of assessing the examination work and at strengthening the continuity between the forms of final control at different levels of school education. Strengthened control over the quality of speech of the examinee (speech is assessed in response to all tasks).

The requirements for performing comparative tasks 9 and 16 have been clarified: in the instructions for them there is no requirement to justify the choice of an example for comparison, which is reflected in the criteria for their assessment.

The fourth task has been introduced in part 2 (the themes of essays vary taking into account the genre and generic diversity of literary material and the literary era).

The maximum score for the entire work has been increased from 42 to 57 points. The procedure for appointing 3 experts has been clarified.

The instructions for work and individual tasks have been improved (they more fully, consistently and clearly reflect the requirements of the criteria, give a clear idea of what actions and in what logic the examinee should perform).

The duration of the exam 2018 in literature

The duration of the exam in literature is 3 hours 55 minutes (235 minutes).

Structure of KIM USE

In the examination work, two parts are distinguished and continuous numbering of tasks is adopted. KIM includes 17 tasks that differ in form and level of complexity.

In part 1, it is proposed to complete tasks containing questions for the analysis of literary works. The ability of graduates to determine the main elements of the content and artistic structure of the studied works (themes and problems, heroes and events, artistic techniques, various types of tropes, etc.) is checked, as well as to consider specific literary works in conjunction with the course material.

Part 2 of the work requires USE participants to write a full-length detailed essay on a literary topic. Thus, one more meaningful component of the course being checked is added to the literary material worked out in part 1. The graduate is offered 4 topics.

The graduate chooses only one of the proposed topics and writes an essay on it, substantiating his judgments by referring to the work (from memory). Writing an essay requires a great measure of cognitive independence and is most consistent with the specifics of literature as an art form and academic discipline, which aims to form a qualified reader with a developed aesthetic taste and a need for spiritual, moral and cultural development.

USE test in literature-2018 acquired the most creative character - in connection with the improvement of KIMs, the exam format has been updated, and the main focus is on testing the ability to correctly, consistently and beautifully express thoughts.

At the same time, according to specialists from the FIPI, it should not become fundamentally more difficult for graduates to pass the exam. After all, they were given a wide choice of topics for writing, the conditions of assignments for “immersion” in the context were changed - they would have to compare half as much. And for those for whom writing essays is not a problem, the new USE model will appeal to them.

Exam Structure Changes

Radical changes have affected tickets for literature- now they do not contain tasks with open answers and, as a result, automatic verification of knowledge is excluded.

With 2018 The exam will be a "set" of five essays, which brings its format as close as possible to the standard school exam.

At preparing do not ignore the use USE demos in literature- last year's version has already lost its relevance, but a version corresponding to the updated format has been developed and published. And do not limit yourself to just a superficial study of the meaning of the work, learn to understand as deeply as possible the essence of the problem that the author raises, find a connection between the plot and the experiences of the heroes of the work, defend and justify your opinion that arose after reading.

Works required for the exam

Number of works :

  • poetry - more than 150 poems and 9 poems;
  • novels - 11;
  • plays - 6;
  • stories - 4;
  • stories - within 20.

A specific list can be found in .

How to prepare for writing an essay

Despite the small size of the exam essay, writing it is not easy for many: excitement and lack of experience in creating written works interfere.

To ensure that the exam runs smoothly, preparing certain rules must be followed:

  • write as much as possible, write regularly;
  • build your own unique template, on the basis of which you will create essays on various topics;
  • delve into the problems of the work;
  • write cards for each work or author;
  • write down all the successful phrases and quotes that can be used for writing;
  • train online.

Public discussion of a new model of the Unified State Examination in Literature has begun

In 2018, graduates of Russian schools will take an exam in literature according to the new model. Demo versions of the updated USE are ready, moreover, they have already been tested in 13 regions of the Russian Federation. The experiment involved 1000 high school students from 60 educational institutions of various types. The majority of educators (94 percent) approved of the changes. And the analysis of the USE results showed that the new model is not more complex than the current one.

Nevertheless, based on the results of testing, the promising model of the Unified State Examination in literature has been finalized and is now presented for a wide public and professional discussion.

We have studied the demo version and are ready to tell you what graduates of 2018 should prepare for.

The main difference is that in the USE-2018 in literature there will be no tasks with a short answer at all. In all tasks, you will need to write detailed answers.

Also in the new model, the number of tasks at the participant's choice has been increased, but at the same time, as the developers assure, the total number of tasks with a detailed answer remains unchanged: the examinee writes four detailed answers of a limited volume and one essay.

But now it will be easier to perform comparative tasks: the source text will need to be compared with only one work, and not with two, as it is now.

But the requirements for the volume of essays will become tougher. If earlier it was enough to write 200 words, then in the new model it is already 250 words. If the paper has less than 200 words, it will be rated 0 points. The developers also specified the volume of detailed answers of the first part of the exam. Each answer must be at least 50 words.

In order to increase the objectivity of the assessment, the criteria for evaluating detailed answers have been improved. The teachers who took part in testing the new USE model insisted on this.

You can get acquainted with the demo version of the updated USE in literature on the website of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements.

You can send your comments and suggestions on the promising USE model in literature until the end of March 2017 to FIPI: [email protected].

Please note that the new examination model in literature will not be used at the USE in 2017, its introduction is planned from 2018.
