The first missile hits the engine room of the boat "Tbilisi", the second - the wheelhouse. There was a strong flare on the radar for 30 seconds, which means the complete destruction of the target, accompanied by a large release of thermal energy.
18:50. The Mirage commander gives the command to change position. The ship moves towards the shore at high speed, makes a turn and returns to its combat course. The radar shows only 4 targets. One of them, a Georgian boat, has increased its speed and is approaching our ship. The distance to the target is 15 kilometers. "Mirage" fires a salvo from the "Osa" anti-aircraft complex. The missile hits the side of the Georgian boat, which immediately slows down and tries to leave the line of fire. The remaining Georgian ships leave the battle, turning sharply in the opposite direction.
19:28. After checking the sea space, the Mirage takes its place in the ranks of ships heading to Sukhumi. From the report to the flagship: “Of the five targets, one was destroyed, one was damaged, three left the battle. Missile consumption: anti-ship - two, anti-aircraft - one, no casualties among personnel. No damage to the ship.”
Let us recall that NATO sent its group of warships to the Black Sea and is showing increased interest in the movement of Russian Navy vessels. Western journalists are closely following the maneuvers of Russian ships. Marines

Marines are one of the most elite and significant troops of the navy, requiring serious military training and being involved in special operations related to the water element and the protection of the state's maritime borders. Marines are a kind of universal soldiers, the characteristics of whose service dictate the need to perform a wide variety of tasks, ranging from participation in naval battles and boarding enemy ships, to airborne landings to perform special operations on land.

The scope of their operations expanded over time from simple guard duty on the country's border to special operations involving long crossings of water spaces and the abolition of enemy anti-landing forces. Not only military operations are carried out without participation, these troops were involved in the Russian-Turkish battles, won numerous victories in the war with France, during the Great Patriotic War they took part in operations related to the defense of Leningrad and Stalingrad, fought for Murmansk and Odessa, reached the very Berlin and continued their journey as liberators of many European states.

The concept of a sailor is broader than a marine. Sailors are all those people who work or serve (watch) on sea vessels. Moreover, it’s funny, but it’s not necessary for a sailor to go to sea; it’s enough just to be a member of the crew or be listed as support personnel.

Usually navigators, pilots, captains or sailors of sea vessels are called sailors. Sailors are both those who carry out combat duty on military ships and those who carry out transport operations by sea.

Captain as a rank was introduced during the reign of Peter the Great, after the emperor returned from a trip to foreign countries. This event occurred at the beginning of the 18th century, but a few years later the division of captain into ranks was abolished.

Since then, during the time of tsarist rule, a captain of the first rank had a slightly modified title; it sounded like “fleet captain.” In fact, practically nothing has changed in the functioning of the army, only the names of individual elements of the structure have changed. At the same time, the concepts of captain and colonel managed to merge, so the title “captain of colonel rank” was present. It is worth noting that this approach is optimal from the point of view of understanding which rank in the ground forces corresponds to a particular rank in the navy.

In the mid-fifties of the same century, the captain's ranks were again restored. Moreover, an age limit was even established, that is, a maximum period during which a particular serviceman had the right to occupy the position of captain of the first rank. The maximum number of years was 55, but this limitation applied only to this rank. A captain, for example, of the second rank could remain in this rank indefinitely.

When the communists came to power and the time of the Soviet Union came, another rank was established, which related to engineers who, like others, carried out ship service. “Engineer of the first rank” was also assigned to this title. It was assigned only to those military personnel who were engaged in engineering and were on amphibious personnel. Other military personnel were given the rank of colonel.
