Performing the correct prayer in Islam. Obligatory prayers: features and order of performance by men. Pronunciation of some letters of the Arabic alphabet

The one who is going to read the prayer must be undefiled, that is, he must have a full ablution and a small ablution. If you do not have it, you cannot read namaz. Also, the conditions of prayer must be met. Only after that, a woman and a man can stand up for prayer.

Video training on reading namaz for women

This video, inshaAllah, will help you understand what is being done and how. Detailed text description below.

Our main task is that beginner women could learn how to read namaz. It is for them that we tried to briefly and in an understandable way write the order. There is a necessary minimum, one might say. And for those who want to know more subtleties - we have hidden additional information in the "more".

Namaz for a novice woman from 2 rak'ahs

Fajr morning prayer consists of 2 rak'ahs. Another double prayer is used in additional prayers. How to do a prayer of two rak'ahs for a woman? The rules for performing this prayer are the same for all Muslims. The only thing that differs is only the position of the hands and feet in prayer. In order to perform prayer correctly, a woman needs to know not only how duas and suras are pronounced in Arabic, but also to understand their meaning. Below will be a diagram of the performance of prayer with the translation of meanings into Russian. It is advisable to learn the reading of suras and duas with an Arabic teacher or listen to the correct audio playback. It is very important - the correct pronunciation of words. In order for a novice woman to be able to perform prayer, the Russian alphabet was used when writing suras and duas, but unfortunately this spelling does not convey the correct pronunciation.

Before you start reading, you must fulfill some conditions: the body and the place of prayer must be clean, cover all shameful places, face towards Mecca (qibla) and have the intention to perform a certain prayer. The time for reading the prayer is strictly defined. Never at noon, at the time of sunrise and sunset.

Stand facing Mecca (can be determined by the compass), legs slightly apart. Looking at the place of prostration - sujud, indicate your intention to perform prayer and say words that glorify Allah. At the same time, raise both hands with open palms and closed fingers to ear level (), with open palms and closed fingers to chest level ().

Place your right palm on top of your left and place your hands just below the navel (male), at chest level (female). Read, standing, without lowering your hands, the prescribed prayers, suras.

Make a hand - a waist bow with the words "Allahu Akbar." Men bend forward with a straight back at a 90º angle and place their hands with spread fingers on their knees. Women lean forward with bent knees and back, put their hands on their knees with closed fingers. Read, without straightening up, the prescribed prayer. Straighten up with the words "Allahu Akbar."

Next, make a prostration - sajda. Say the words "Allahu Akbar", touch the floor with your knees, then with your forehead and nose. The head should be between the hands, the eyes are open, the legs are not. Read the prescribed prayer. Again say "Allahu Akbar" and lift your forehead off the ground. Sit on your left heel, (the right leg remains bent (women fold their legs under themselves and sit on the ground) fold your hands on, say the words "Subhan Allah." Then, with the words "Allah Akbar", make another sajda - prostration.

With the words “Allahu Akbar”, stand up, tearing your head off the ground, hands, put your hands on your hips and raise your knees from the ground. The first rak'ah is over.

Repeat the rak'ah for the prescribed number of times. Finish the last rak'ah by sitting and make "Salam": turn your head to the right, eyes should look at your shoulders, say "As-salamu" alaykum wa Rahmatul-lah ", do the same to the left. Prayer is over.

Getting on the path of faith and righteousness is a serious step for many people. If you are a Muslim, then according to religious customs, you must do five daily prayers -.

Instruction

Remember the number of rak'ahs for each prayer but. This is the order of words and actions in prayer. In every prayer The number of rak'ahs is different. In the first prayer you need to make 2 rak'ahs. In the second, third and fifth - 4 each. In the fourth prayer, Maghreb, you need to make 3 rak'ahs. You can learn more about the text of prayers from the holy book of the Koran.

Wajib are also obligatory prayers, the failure of which is usually equated with sin. But opinions about their obligatoriness in different senses of Islam differ. According to the most extreme point of view, if there are five obligatory prayers, then all the rest are voluntary.

The wajib prayer is often referred to as the Witr prayer, performed in the interval between the Isha and Fajr prayers, most often, the last third of the night. As well as the id prayer, performed in the morning on - and Eid al-Adha. Although many theologians refer to id as a fard prayer.

Sunnah - additional voluntary prayers. They are of two types: those practiced on a regular basis and performed from time to time. Rejection of the Sunnah is not considered a sin.

Well, nafl - exclusively voluntary overdue prayers. You can perform them at any convenient time. Except for the moments when prayer. These are the moments of true noon, sunrise and sunset. The ban appears to be related to preventing the practice of sun worship.

Prayer order

Each prayer includes a different number. Rakat is the performance of prescribed movements and the pronunciation of words addressed to God (Allah).

Namaz is read at a certain time. Before praying, a Muslim must purify himself, i.e. perform ablution. Namaz is not recommended to be performed in clothes with images of animals and people. While reading a prayer, one should not be distracted by carnal and other needs.

One of the important features in the performance of this ritual is the direction of the worshiper. The fact is that the body and gaze of a Muslim must be turned strictly in the direction of the Kaaba, i.e. to the Sacred Mosque in Mecca. A Muslim is obliged to know Mecca, even if he prays far from his country or even on another continent. In this he is helped by certain landmarks.

Muslims living in different countries say their prayer in the same language -. However, this does not mean at all that it will be enough just to memorize incomprehensible Arabic words and pronounce them. The meaning of all the words that make up the prayer should be clear to anyone who reads it. Otherwise, prayer will generally lose any effect.

In principle, the reading of this prayer between men and women does not differ much, but there are some peculiarities here. Men who perform prayers should make sure that their shoulders, as well as part of the body from the waist to the knees, are covered with clothes. Before starting to read a prayer, a Muslim must clearly pronounce its name, then raise his arms bent at the elbows to the sky and say: "Allahu Akbar." After the glory of Allah has been expressed, the worshiper is obliged to fold his hands on his chest, covering his left hand with his right hand, and say the prayer itself.

Men do not have to pray loudly, just move it. After reading the prayer, the Muslim man should make a waist bow, keeping his back straight, and again say: "Allahu Akbar." After that, they need to bow to the ground: the man first touches the ground with his fingers, and then with his forehead and nose. In this position, he must once again pronounce the words of glory to Allah.

Reading by women has its own characteristics. The main thing is clothes. A praying woman should have only her face and hands open - nothing more! In addition, during the performance of the waist bow, women are not recommended to keep their backs as straight as men do. After bowing to the ground, she must sit on her left leg and point both feet to the right.

Ablution. Namaz. Performing a prayer. How to do namaz?

Many people and even those who were born Muslim do not know how start praying (perform prayer). Some can't start praying- something is bothering them. Some are afraid start praying because they believe that over time they will abandon this business. Only the Almighty knows the future, and these doubts are the tricks of Satan.
Leaving prayer- a grave sin, can lead a person into disbelief - the unbeliever will burn forever in hell.
Namaz is the second most important pillar of Islam, after Shagadadata(certificate- "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet").
Namaz is the duty of a Muslim.

And so let's get started ... Where to start performing prayers?

First of all, this is ablution before prayer. (Small ablution). We do everything in order.

Arabic is read from right to left.

Intention for ablution: Bismillagyi RahImani RahIim. I intend to perform obligatory ablution, for the sake of Allah Almighty, Allahu Akbar.

1. Then my hands, we read a prayer: اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذي جَعَلَ الْماءَ طَهُورًا
"Al-khIamdu lillagyi-llazi jagIalal-maa taguraa" - Praise be to Allah who made water cleansing.

2. face wash, we read the following: اَللّهُمَّ بَيِّضْ وَجْهي بِنُورِكَ يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهُ أَوْلِيائِكَ وَلا تُسَوِّدْ وَجْهي بِظُلُماتِكَ يَوْمَ تَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهُ أَعْدائِكَ
"Allagyumma bayyiz vajgyi binurika yavma tabyazzu vujugyu avliyaika wa la tusavvid vajgyi bizulyumatika yavma tasvaddu vujugyu gIdaika" - O Allah! Lighten my face with Your darkness on the day when the faces of Your favorites are illuminated, and do not blacken my face with Your darkness on the day when the faces of Your enemies are blackened.

3. Washing the right hand, to the forearm (from the tip of the fingers to just above the elbow). In doing so, we read the following: اَللّهُمَّ أَعْطِني كِتابي بِيَميني وَحاسِبْني حِسابًا يَسيرًا
"Allagyumma agItini kitabi biyamini wa hasibni hisaban yasira". - O Allah, offer me my records of earthly deeds on the Day of Judgment on the right side and reprimand me with a light report.

4. Washing the left hand, to the forearm (from fingertip to just above elbow). In doing so, we read the following: اَللّهُمَّ لا تُعْطِني كِتابي بِشِمالي وَلا مِنْ وَراءِ ظَهْري
"Allagyumma la tugItIini kitabi bishimali wa la min warai zagri". - O Allah, do not offer me my notes on the left and behind.

5. We rub our heads (moistened with the palms of both hands, we draw from the forehead to the back of the head (as in shampoo ads) three times, each time with new water). Reading:
"Allagumma hIarram shagIri wa bashari gIala-nnar". - O Allah, make my hair and skin forbidden to the fire of Hell.

6. Washing the right leg (I wash my legs with my left hand, although it’s a little uncomfortable, but always with my left). In doing so, we read: اَللّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْ قَدَمَيَّ عَلَى الصِّراطِ يَوْمَ تَزِلُّ فيهِ الْأَقْدامُ
"Allagumma sabbat qadamayya gIala-ssiratI and yavma tazillu figil-akdam". - O Allah, fix my feet on the bridge of Sirat on the day when they slide.

7. Washing the left leg (I also wash with my left hand). We read the same as when washing the right leg.

If you do not know prayers, then you can read suras or verses from the Koran. For example suras 112-114. One sura for each arm or leg and of course the face. When wetting the head, one can say Allahu Akbar (Allah is great) or Bismillagyi rahImani rahIim(in the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful)

After ablution, it is advisable to read duIa (raising the palms to the level of the face, turning the palms to the sky - I read all the arcs in this way). Reading: Prayer:

"Ashgadu Halles illyaga illyallag vahIdagu A ball lyag wa ashgadu Anne Muhammadali gIabdugu va rasulyugu. Allagumma-dzhgIalni mine-ttavvabina vadzhgIalni minals-mutatIagirina, vadzhgIalni min gIibadika-c-salihIina, subhIanakallashgumma va bihIamdika, ashgadu Halles ilyaga illa anta, astagIfiruka va Atuba ilyaika, wa sallyallagu gala sayyidina Muhammadiv-va galya alighi wa sahbigyi wa sallam." - I I testify with my tongue, I acknowledge and believe with my heart that there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, the One, Who has no partner, and I once again testify, acknowledge and believe with my heart that, verily, Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, make me of those who repent of their sins, and make me of those who keep cleanliness, and make me of Your pious servants who serve You well. You are pure from all shortcomings, praise be to You. I testify that there is nothing worthy of worship except You. I ask Your forgiveness and I repent before You. And the blessing of Allah to our master Muhammad, his family and companions, peace and prosperity to them.

Namaz: Performing a prayer. How to do namaz?

After ablution, a Muslim can begin to pray. Exists five obligatory prayers which a Muslim is required to do every day.
Five obligatory prayers these are: 1. Morning, 2. Noon (dining) 3. Afternoon (afternoon), 4. Evening, 5. Night.
Morning prayer consists of 2 rak'ahs; Evening prayer consists of 3 rak'ahs; Noon, Afternoon and Night consist of 4 rak'ahs. What are rak'ahs we will describe below.

And so, let's start praying.

Get on the prayer mat (we will consider the rug as a place for prayer). We lay the rug so that you stand up and look at it. towards the Kaaba(Qibla). Any prayer is performed facing the Kaaba.

Making an intention(for example, for the evening prayer of 3 rak'ahs): Bismillagi RahImani RahIim. I intend to perform the obligatory evening prayer of three rak'ahs, for the sake of Allah, Allahu Akbar ( the moment we speak Allahu Akbar, raise your hands with open palms, slightly touching the lobes of your ears with your thumbs). Then we lower our palms to the area under the heart, first we put the left palm, and on top of it the right. And now you are already in prayer.

We make the first rak'ah.

1. In this position we read Sura Al-FatihIa:

1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيم
"Bismillagi RahImani RahIim"- in the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

"AlkhIamdulillagi rabbil gIalyamin" - Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

"Ar-RahImani-r-RahIim" - Merciful, Merciful.

"Maliki Yaumiddin" - Lord of the Day of Retribution.

"Iyyaka nagI will be wa iyyaka natagiin" - Only to You is our worship, only to You is our prayer for salvation.

"Igdina ssiratIal mustakim" - Lead us to the straight path.

"SiratIal lyaziina angIamta gIalaygyim, gairil magzubi alyaygyim va lyazooalin"- The path of those to whom You sent down Your mercy, not those on whom Your anger fell, and not those who fell into error.

Amen! (Amen Rabb-al gIalamin).

2. After Surah Al-FatihIa, Pronounce alahu akbar and bend forward and put your hands on your knees (become the letter "G" -waist bow). We pronounce:
"SubhIana Rabbi-l-GIazim" - Impeccable is my Great Lord! 3 times.

3. We straighten up saying:
سمع الله لمن حمده
"SamigIa-Llagyu li-man hIamida" - May Allah hear the one who praised Him!

4. After that, saying Allahu Akbar let's go to the earth (judgment). First, put your palms on the mat (if health allows, if it doesn’t work out, then you can fall on your knees and only then put your palms on), then we touch the rest of the rug, these are: knees, face. In general, seven parts of the body should touch the mat: the face (forehead, nose), palms, knees, and the balls of your toes. The palms should be directed in the same direction as the one who is praying. (to the sideKaaba- necessarily), put them at shoulder level.
In this position we read:
سبحان ربي الأعلى
"Subhana Rabbi-l-Giala" - Impeccable is my Supreme Lord! 3 times.

5. Before tearing your forehead off the mat, you should say Allahu Akbar and then sit down. We sit down so that the buttocks rest on the heels. We put our palms on our knees. This moment is called "sitting between judgments" We freeze in this position for 2-3 seconds.

6. Having said Allahu Akbar, again put the palms on the mat and touch the face (forehead and nose) of the mat. Those. we do the same as in the fourth paragraph. After reading
"Subhana Rabbi-l-Giala"- 3 times, we say Allahu Akbar and we get up. And we end up in a situation like in point 1. One rakah completed!!!

Second rak'ah- everything is done the same as in the first one. But now, after point 6, we do not get up, but remain in the position "sitting". The palm of the left hand is also left on the knees, and the right palm is clenched into a fist, leaving the index finger straight (preferably semi-straight). In this position we read: AttachahIiyatu.

"Al-TahIiyyyatu-mubarakatu-ssalyavatu-ttIayyibatu lillyag. As-Salam gIalyayka ayyyuga-nnabiyyyu wa rahImatullagi wa barakatug. As-Salam gIalyayna wa gIalya gIibadillyagi-ssalihIin. Ashgadu Halles ilyaga illyallag wa ashgadu anna Muhammad-rrasulyullag. Allagumma Sally gIalya MuhIammad, wa gIala ali Muhammad, kama sallayta gIala Ibragim wa gIala ali Ibragim. - All greetings, blessings, prayers and good deeds belong to Allah. Prophet, peace be upon you, the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and the God-fearing, pious servants of Allah. I testify with my tongue, acknowledge and believe with my heart that there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, and I once again testify, acknowledge and believe with my heart that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
O Allah! Grant the Prophet Muhammad and his family more honor and greatness, just as You gave honor and greatness to the Prophet Ibrahim and his family. O Allah! Give more blessings to the Prophet Muhammad and his family, just as you gave blessings to the Prophet Ibrahim and his family - in all the worlds. Verily, You are the Praised One and we praise You.

In this case, salavat is given: "As-Salat al-Ibrahimiya"(because we still can’t find the salavat we need)

When you read Shaghadat(evidence) in its first part ( Ashgadu alla ilyagya illallag) we tear off the index finger from the knee by 3-4 centimeters, in the second ( wa ashgadu anna Muhammad-rrasulullagh) lower to a level of 1-2 cm. Do not lower your finger and do not pull, (this is important!). We pronounce Allahu akbar and get up, as in paragraph 1 - two rak'ahs are done.

Doing one more rak'ah and read again AttachahIiyatu to finish the prayer. this is the last third rak'ah, turn your head to the right and say: "As-salamu gIalaykum wa RahImatul-lag", then turn left and say the same thing.

So you performed the Evening three rak'ah prayers.

This prayer performed according to the Shafi'i mazgab.

I want to draw your attention to the fact that this is the easiest way to perform namaz for beginners. Over time, when you become more knowledgeable, you can add short surahs and verses from the Koran to prayer, read duIa, etc.
Namaz is performed only in Arabic.

If you notice mistakes, please correct me, I am not an Alim and I can make a mistake. If there is a text of Attukhiyatu in Arabic and a transcription, please show me.

Today it seems to many that the traditions of another people are too difficult and meaningless. But it is not in vain that they say that judging another is a thankless task. For Muslims, daily prayer is not hard labor, but a mandatory item. Moreover, in addition to direct prayer, one has to undergo preparation for it, which is individual for men and women.

The fairer sex has a harder time, because a lady is not always clean before Allah. How is prayer performed for women?

What it is?

This is a special prayer in Islam, which is a strictly regulated action, since the number and time of prayers are determined, as well as the direction in which one must turn to the Almighty. Prayer for women should be preceded by a small ablution. That is, you need to wash your face, ears, neck, hands and feet. Many religious authorities believe that ablution is not considered complete if the lady has nail polish left. It needs to be erased. If there is no water, then it is permissible to bathe with sand, which is suitable for desert conditions. There is no such practice in Russia. After ablution, one should put on clothes in accordance with the requirements of Islam. It must be a full body suit that is not form-fitting and is not considered enticing.

At the same place, at the same time

Namaz for women can be performed at home, but men often go to the mosque. If the family lives in a city without a temple, then it is possible to pray at home, although the husband and wife usually pray separately. A woman can also visit a mosque, where there is a special room for religious rites. Regardless of the gender of the believer, prayer is performed five times a day. Namaz for women is different in the process itself.

You can not raise your hands up, unlike a man. The last words of "Allah Akbar!" the woman speaks with her elbows close to her body. And in general, she should be restrained in her movements. In the process, the hands should be folded on the chest, and not on the stomach, as men do. There is a peculiarity when making a bow to the ground, called "sajda". The woman completes the correct prayer by bringing her body as close to the ground as possible and sitting on her knees. By the way, in the text itself there are no differences from the male version, so only the movements are specific.

Allah and his servants

The Almighty could not place a greater burden on his slaves than they could bear, therefore Islam is considered a religion of relief. Some types of worship for girls are limited during the menstrual cycle. For example, ablution for women before prayer does not give a full result. Therefore, it is not necessary to make a prayer, and it does not require replenishment. You don't have to fast, but then you have to make up for it. There is no need to circumambulate the Kaaba during the Hajj, but other rites are allowed.

It is said that Aisha was talking about the journey with the Messenger of Allah when there was a conversation about the pilgrimage, and at the end of the walk she began to menstruate, which caused profuse tears. Then the Messenger of Allah was curious about the cause of tears. When he found out, he said that in this state you can do everything that pilgrims do, except for going around the Kaaba. During the period of menstruation, a woman should not have sexual intercourse, come to the mosque, touch the Koran and read its surahs.

Duties

Each woman keeps her own calendar and therefore knows the schedule of her cycle. Naturally, its duration is different for everyone, but, according to scientists, it lasts from a day to 15 days. Bleeding more than this period is considered an anomaly, therefore, if on the 16th day the discharge continues, you need to bathe and begin to perform your duties, since the nature of the bleeding is no longer considered menstrual.

If the discharge lasted less than a day, then they are not considered menstruation, and therefore it is necessary to compensate for the missed fast and prayer, but it is not necessary to perform a full ablution. If the bleeding is accompanied by pain, then it is not necessary to leave prayer. A woman should wash herself, insert a tampon, put on a pad and put on everything clean. By the way, ablution for women before prayer in the month of Ramadan excludes a tampon, as this is contrary to the rules of fasting.

Why can you postpone prayer?

Morning prayer for women can be postponed for a number of reasons, the first of which is the shelter of the awrat.

A weighty reason will be going to a mosque or waiting for a collective prayer. If blood came out before prayer, then this does not interfere with prayer, since there is no fault of the woman. It happens that a girl forgot to put tampons or postponed prayer for worldly reasons. In such cases, only farz prayers or sunnat prayers are performed. Chronic bleeding for a woman gives the right to one obligatory prayer after each bath. It is said that once Muaza asked Aisha about making up for missed fasts and prayers after menstruation. She replied that the Messenger of Allah ordered to compensate fasting, but he did not say this about prayers. And Said Mansur reported that a woman who cleared her menstruation during the afternoon prayer should perform lunch and afternoon prayers. The continuous discharge, which lasted 5 days, should end with a full ablution and a refund of prayers and fasts.

How to act during menstruation?

I wonder how to pray for a novice woman. It is necessary to pronounce Dhikr more often, turn to Allah with requests, surround yourself with pious sisters and read spiritual literature. It is allowed to read verses with the words of prayer when making a request. The Prophet's wife Aisha related that Muhammad spoke of the monthly defilement as a blessed purification. If on the first day of desecration a woman repents before the Almighty, then she will be included in the list of those liberated from hellfire. Those representatives of the weaker sex who do not follow the cycle and miss prayers are called absent-minded and predict difficulties for them on the Day of Judgment.

How to pray for women with manicure? Before bathing, you should not cut your nails, as there are words in the hadeeth that the removed nails and hair return on the Day of Judgment in a defiled state. Another interesting question is about a woman teaching the teachings of the Koran. According to some, she can work during menstruation, but her work is limited, but she can teach the alphabet.

Bathing

After the completion of menstruation, it is necessary to conduct ritual bathing, or the so-called ghusl. It cannot be postponed, and before the procedure, niyat should be expressed. Now you can start ablution with words addressed to Allah. First of all, the perineum is washed, then the head and the right side of the body are poured. Then the left side. Now wash the whole body again. Women mostly have long hair and braids, and if the water does not go inside, then they must be untangled and washed. In Shariah, a mark is made in case water does not enter naturally curled hair.

According to etiquette

Before doing prayer, a woman needs to fulfill all her natural needs so as not to offend Allah with them. There is even a peculiar etiquette for these processes. So, you need to choose a secluded place, avoid contamination of the body and clothes, avoid mounts in the water. After that, you need to clean both passages with water or paper. A woman during ablution should not be in a state of poisoning, sleep or be unconscious. You can not eat camel meat, touch the genitals, cook food on fire, laugh or touch sewage.

The question of how to pray for a novice woman arises when she reaches the age of majority. In addition, the girl must be of sound mind, have the intention to perform prayer. Prayer becomes invalid if a person is an apostate, refuses the obligatory actions of prayer, performs only bows or bows to the ground, distorts sounds, or deliberately eats and drinks.

Before doing prayer, a woman should not look up, put her hands on her belt, close her eyes. In addition, it is impossible to state the intention to perform namaz verbally, to get ahead of the imam in collective prayer. There are a number of places where it is not recommended to pray. So, how to pray for women? Avoid prayer in the cemetery, in the bathhouse and toilet, in the camel pen. By the way, you can not pray after childbirth and miscarriage. During this period, fasting is also prohibited.

Prayer is one of the obligatory pillars of the Islamic religion. It must be followed by every true believer. Prayer frees the mind, calms the soul and clears the mind. Namaz is a fivefold prayer that helps Muslims turn to the Lord and cope with difficult situations. But in order to read prayer correctly, it is necessary to follow certain rules and perform prayers at certain times of the day and night.

Prayer times and names

Each prayer includes several rak'ahs, sequences of actions. They consist of reading certain surahs of the Qur'an in a standing position and two types of bows: to the belt and to the ground.

  • Morning prayer is called Fajr and consists of 2 rak'ahs. It is performed from the moment, as soon as the first signs of dawn appeared, until the final sunrise. Prayer stops as soon as the sun is completely behind the horizon line.
  • Lunch - Zuhr - 4 rak'ahs. Starts a couple of minutes after noon.
  • Afternoon - Asr - 4 rak'ahs. Takes place a few hours before sunset. It is fundamentally necessary to finish praying before the sun begins to be lost behind the horizon line.
  • Evening - Maghreb - 3 rak'ahs. It is performed immediately after the sun has set, but even before the evening glow has disappeared.
  • Night - Isha - 4 rak'ahs. Done late in the evening. Prayer time is until dawn. However, it is better not to delay and pray on time.

In addition to the main actions, there are desirable prayers, for the performance of which Allah will reward the believers. For beginners, of course, to begin with, it is enough to learn the main part of the ritual and get used to the regular schedule of five times prayer. But after it becomes a habit, it is advisable to add the rest of the sunnat prayers.

Preparing for prayer

Before you start praying, you need to:

  • Cleanse the body: do a small bath, wudu. If necessary, the believer must make a ghusl.
  • Wear clean and tidy clothes: Muslim women must cover their 'awrah, but they may not cover their face, feet and hands. In this case, the hair should be hidden under clothing. Men do not need to cover their heads.
  • Observe the time of this or that prayer.
  • Turn towards the qibla, the shrine of the Kaaba, which is located in Saudi Arabia, Mecca.
  • Lay out a prayer rug, a clean towel, or a sheet.
  • Get into a pose. Women should stand up straight, legs together, and arms along the body. Men should put their feet shoulder-width apart, freely lower their hands, and look down in front of them.
  • Mentally express the intention in the heart to read namaz. Every Muslim should begin such an important matter with sincerity and reverence and with full responsibility approach the intention to perform prayer for the pleasure of the Almighty Lord.

Once all of the above points are completed, the believer can proceed to prayer.

How to read namaz correctly

If the intention is pronounced to oneself, then everything else - the introductory takbir, dua, suras of the Koran, is spoken aloud. Not necessarily in a full voice, perhaps in a whisper, because the situation does not always favor complete unity.

  1. From the position in which you are standing, raise the palms of your hands to your shoulders and say out loud the expression "Allahu Akbar!" This will be the opening takbir. Watch the awrah: the sleeves must not come down. Otherwise, prayer will not be performed.
  2. Fold your arms crosswise at chest level. Place your right hand on top. Read Surah Al-Fatiha.
  3. Bow at the waist. Remember, men should bow lower than women and look down at their feet. Place your hands on your knees, but do not clasp them.
  4. Return to the starting position.
  5. Make a bow to the earth and say the phrase "Allahu Akbar" at the same time. To do this, kneel down, then lean on your palms and elbows and touch the ground with your nose and forehead. At the same time, rest your toes on the ground.
  6. With the same words, move to a sitting position and say the phrase "Subhanallah."
  7. Again, bow to the ground and at the same time say the phrase "Allahu Akbar."
  8. Return to the starting position in order to make the second rak'ah.
  1. Begin, as at the very beginning, by reading Surah Al-Fahita. You can choose the words of dhikr, read any small sura.
  2. Now bow to the waist and to the ground, as was the case with the first rak'ah.
  3. Sit on your feet so that your palms are on your knees, and both legs are turned to the right side. Thus, you will not sit on your feet, but on the floor. In this position, say Dua Attahiyyat. After, if you perform Fajr prayer, say the end of the prayer.

If you are reading a prayer, which consists of three or four rak'ahs, then after the dua, change your position: get up, stand up straight and do the next rak'ahs. Then Muslims can turn to Allah Almighty in a free form in any language with prayers and requests for personal. The Lord will surely hear you after prayer and help you.
