Women's chamber choir Cantilena (Cantilena) performed sacred works in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Sokolniki

There are many advantages in the life of our district - this is clean air, and scope for the eyes, and some slowness, unusual for the inhabitants of the capital. Indeed, is it possible to imagine that in our age of eternal haste, adult working women would gather in the evenings to sing for the soul? However, this has been happening for quite a long time - more than 20 years.

The academic choir "Cantilena" was founded in 1986 by R.A.Kazakova. Now the choir director is a graduate of the Moscow State Institute of Music. Schnittke N.V. Svirina, accompanist - Yu.V. Safonov.

During its existence, the choir has repeatedly become a laureate and diploma winner of international, all-Russian festivals and competitions: "Prague Christmas - 2015" (Czech Republic), "Chorus Inside" (Moscow); "Chorus Inside-2013" (Italy), "Sholokhov Spring" (Moscow), International Choral Assemblies "Eurasia Cantat-2011" (Yekaterinburg), etc.

"Cantilena" actively participates in the programs of the territorial club system "Solntsevo", district, city: "In memory for centuries", "With pride in the heart", "Dearest", "Soul of Russia", "Song of the Soul", "Moscow Spring "(Olympic Village), "Night of Museums", "Autumn Waltz", "Night of the Arts", "I Love You, Mom", "Moscow Frontiers", "Native Melodies", the festival "Moscow Jam" (Poklonnaya Gora). The choir took part in the celebration of the 700th anniversary of St. Sergius of Radonezh; organized a concert, together with the arrival of the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh (Solntsevo).

The team closely cooperates with organizations such as the Moscow Council of Veterans, the Congress of National Associations of Russia (KNOR), the Writers' Union of Russia, and various social organizations. Conducts socially-oriented activities (concerts in geriatric centers, libraries, work with pensioners, veterans, members of large families).

November 7, 2015 in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Sokolniki hosted a charity concert of the women's chamber choir Cantilena (Cantilena) (St. Petersburg). The musical evening is dedicated to the memory of the clergyman Sergius Pravdolyubov. Archpriest Alexander Dasaev, Archpriest Mikhail Pravdolyubov and other clerics of the church took part in the event.

The Cantilena Women's Chamber Choir (St. Petersburg) has existed since 1992. The choir's repertoire is very rich and varied. Being an active popularizer, connoisseur, careful keeper and successor of the best choral traditions, Cantilena performs classical, sacred and modern music of Russian and foreign composers of the 2nd-20th centuries, as well as folk songs from various countries in the original language (in more than 18 languages).

Cantilena annually takes part in the Days of Culture of Foreign Countries in St. Petersburg, organized by the House of Friendship and Peace with the Peoples of Foreign Countries and the House of Nationalities.

Cantilena is a laureate and diploma winner of many prestigious international and Russian choral competitions. Among them are festivals in Arezzo (Italy), Prague (Czech Republic), Albena and Dobrich (Bulgaria). In 2010, the choir won a gold medal at the XII International Competition Europe&Its Songs (Barcelona, ​​Spain), in 2012 — a gold medal at the early music competition of the Florence Choral Festival (Italy), in 2013 became a laureate of the competition in Orchid (Macedonia) ), in 2014 he participated in the music festival in Vienna (Austria).

The permanent conductor, artistic director and inspirer of the choir is Elena Nikolaevna Petrova. For her professionalism, Elena Nikolaevna Petrova was awarded numerous prizes and diplomas, including the Silver Cross of the St. George's Union "Badge of Honor".

The creator of the choir and the permanent leader is the Honored Worker of Culture of Russia, holder of the Order of Honor Sarnatskaya Irena Leonovna.

Choir "Cantilena" is the choral department of the Children's School of Arts named after S.P. Diaghilev (director Rotchev E.V.). More than 100 children aged 10 to 16 sing in the choir. All members of the choir learn to play the piano, study solfeggio and musical literature.
From the first years of its existence, the choir has been leading an active concert life, performing a lot in Moscow, Zelenograd, touring the cities of Russia, near and far abroad, and taking part in many international competitions.

The choir repeatedly participated in scientific and practical conferences on the development of children's voices, where such outstanding figures of choral culture as V.Sokolov, K.Ptitsa, H.Kaljuste, B.Baranov, V.Popov, G.Struve and other. In the biography of the choir there is a creative collaboration with famous composers A. Pakhmutova, R. Boyko, Y. Chichkov, Y. Tugarinov, E. Krylatov.

The extensive and diverse repertoire of the choir includes the best works of musical classics from different eras and peoples, styles and genres.

A great contribution to the development of the choir was made by teachers: Vinogradskaya M.Ya., Osipova I.B., Barchukova N.V.
Gracheva L.N., Tuzhikova M.V., Popova N.P. have been working with junior choirs for many years. Theoretical disciplines are taught by Chirva L.V., Dubinina N.E.

Since 1981, a graduate of Cantilena Saluk Elena Eduardovna has been working with the junior choir. And since 1991 she has become the second director of the choir.

The choirmasters are graduates of the choir Alexandra Alexandrovna Balakireva, Anastasia Igorevna Vishnevskaya, N.M. Overchukova.
