Kim Dima lost his leg. Russian pop stars collect money for a Kazakh dancer who lost his leg. It wasn't a selfie

Dmitry Kim lost his left leg to the knee in Los Angeles three days before his 30th birthday.

The accident ended the career of the talented dancer Dmitry Kim, who, in particular, danced in the ballet of the singer Anita Tsoi and the Vintage group. Fatal for him was an attempt to take a selfie in Los Angeles, which eventually ended in the amputation of his left leg.

The accident happened to a native of Alma-Ata during the New Year holidays in the California metropolis. He decided to take a couple of shots near the white stone wall in the rays of the setting sun. While Dmitry was choosing the most successful angle, part of the fence collapsed on his leg.

The victim was rushed to one of the best clinics cities where they fixed a broken leg. However, this did not help: the doctors could not save the soft tissues, as a result of which blood poisoning began. In total, Kim underwent four operations, as a result of which his leg was amputated to the knee.

And it happened three days before his 30th birthday. Now the dancer's friends are raising money for rehabilitation and a prosthesis, thanks to which he will be able to move and, possibly, even dance, reports Life.

Dmitry painfully recalls the day when the doctors told him about the need for amputation.

I had suicidal thoughts, he admitted. - I became very scared. I cried for 16 hours straight and didn't want to come to real life disabled. I went through terrible pain. Only close friends from America knew about this, I didn’t even tell my mother right away. But now I pulled myself together and appreciate every moment, every day given to me.

According to Kim, "you have to fight even when it seems that everything is over!".

You can bury yourself now, or you can be reborn again, the dancer believes. - small, but confident steps i go to new life! So let's dance in a couple of months!

Dmitry's whole life was connected with the stage: the young man always earned money by dancing. As a child, his grandmother could not tear him away from watching dance programs: the boy, as if enchanted, repeated the movements he saw on the screen for hours. It was then that a dream appeared - to become a famous dancer.

At the age of 17, Kim moved from his native city to Ivanovo. Once in one of the trendy nightclubs, he was noticed on the dance floor and immediately offered a job. Then he moved to Moscow, where he first got into the dance team of Coca-Cola, the sponsor of the Olympic torch relay in 2014.

Once upon a time there was a musician Dima in Naberezhnye Chelny. Dima played at weddings and funerals, made quite good money for himself, got married and dreamed of children, better than two. Live and rejoice, but here, in his serene life, without declaring war, a black streak invaded, I would even say a black hole. In the beginning, Dima's wife left Dima for some Tatar, and only then she, together with this Tatar, kicked Dima out of the house. Checkmate.

There was nowhere to live. And our hero, on reflection, reasoned: it is better to have nowhere to live in Moscow than in Naberezhnye Chelny. So he collected all his things (which were not useful to the Tatar) - a guitar and a backpack with music discs, bought a reserved seat ticket and went to conquer the capital.

With almost all the money, Dima rented an apartment in a new building - completely empty, without furniture and even without a floor, and from morning to evening he ran around the city in search of ways to conquer Moscow.

The conquest began with the tragic loss of a beloved guitar, as a result of a demonstrative massacre on the Old Arbat. They don't really like new street guitarists there, they have nowhere to put their own. Dima's muzzle was very swollen and no longer looked like a photo in his passport, and this, of course, not for free, was confirmed by every expert he met in a cop uniform.

The money is almost completely over, and going to interviews with black eyes only makes people laugh.

Another week and you will have to pay for the apartment. And here also the birthday did not add joy at all - it's not just a birthday, but a serious date - 40 years.

Dima woke up in the middle of the night from a hard, cold floor, pumped up an air mattress, lay down again, thought and decided: to hell with them with the last money. Anyway, today is my birthday. What am I, not a man? I'll buy a big, delicious cake, make a cup of tea and arrange for myself real holiday. And nothing that without guests, I will get more.

Evening came.

Dima with a knife was sitting on the floor in front of a large chocolate cake and carefully took aim, where to stab him, and in his soul from something it became so unbearably sad that at least jump out the window:

Well, what the fuck is an anniversary? What cake? He spent so many grandmas on him. What about tomorrow? A forty-year-old uncle, his face is broken like a bum from a heating main, but I behave like a little boy!

Dima took a closer look at the cake box and realized that this is his chance. The cake was one day late.

It is necessary to carefully pack it, since the check was not thrown away, and return it to the store as soon as possible. The remaining money, plus a refund for the cake, should be enough for a ticket to Chelny, there are still at least some people there, not like here, the desert ...

No sooner said than done, Dima packed the cake, went down the elevator and left the entrance. Suddenly he sees: a small Toyota is slowly but surely rolling around the yard with the driver's door wide open, and behind it a woman minces and shouts funny:

Ouch! Ouch! Ay! Ay! Ouch! Ouch!

She opened the garage and, apparently, did not put the car on the "handbrake".

Toyota had already accelerated well and was aiming directly at the side of an expensive black Mercedes.

Dima was standing very close to the Merc, but, with all the desire, he couldn’t stop the car with his hands and he had no choice but to slip his long-suffering, chocolate cake between the cars.

There was a light “chvyak”, the cake was flattened into a whole square meter, but on the machines there is not a single scratch, only frozen chocolate splashes.

The owner of Toyota, who ran up, thanked her resourceful savior with a bruised face for a long time, and tried in every possible way to compensate him for the damage suffered, but Dima nobly refused:

Well, stop it, don't, I won't take money, superheroes don't take money.

Thank you Superhero, but you went somewhere with a cake, but now you need to buy a new one.

Yes, don’t worry, you don’t need it anymore - it’s my birthday today, but there won’t be any guests anyway, I’ve been in Moscow for less than a month and I still don’t know anyone.

Oh, congratulations.

Thank you, now quickly clean the Mercedes door before the owner notices the chocolate fireworks, and all the best to you, good luck on the roads.

Dima returned to the apartment and, cursing himself for his senseless unprofitable heroism, began to count all the remaining money, including kopecks.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door (there was no call). Anna, the owner of Toyota, was standing on the threshold. In one hand she held a large plate of homemade buns, and in the other a bottle of cognac:

Dear newborn Superhero, am I too late? Let's celebrate and play pranks.

On this Dimina, the black stripe dried up and was replaced by a white one.

Anya got Dima a job as a sound engineer in our television company, married him and bore him two children, as he dreamed of ...

When a black streak comes in my life, I always remember this story and carefully look around so as not to miss my saving cake ...

Have a nice week everyone...

Dima Kim, 30, is a famous Russian dancer who now lives in Los Angeles. He flew to California looking for freedom of expression full of plans and hopes, he believed that in new country will start a new life and will surely succeed. But a terrible tragedy almost put an end to all his dreams ...

Dima began building his career at the age of 17, having moved from his native Almaty to Ivanovo. Then the guy moved to Moscow. There he had a chance to take a place in Anita Tsoi's ballet. Of the 120 applicants, only three were selected, one of which was Dmitry Kim. He was called the favorite dancer of the singer. After working with Anita for a year, the young man decided to change the situation and got a job in the Vintage ballet group, and then set a new goal - a career in America.

The accident happened to Dmitry during the New Year holidays in Los Angeles, when he wanted to take a selfie. Dima went for a walk with a friend, stopped to take a picture near a pretty wall, grabbed it with his hand and ... The wall collapsed, crushing the dancer's leg. He underwent four operations: at first it was about the amputation of the fingers, then already - about the amputation of the foot and even the leg to the thigh. On January 16, Dima's leg was cut off just below the knee. In his monologue, the dancer talks about how not to give up and go towards your goal at all costs. Further - from the first person.

I danced with early childhood, but never specifically studied it. I have no choreographic education - my teachers were video cassettes and clips on the MTV channel. I grew up in Alma-Ata and, after graduating from school, I realized that suddenly it was not enough for me that I have. Then I decided to move to Russia and somehow miraculously ended up in the city of Ivanovo, where I entered college. In Ivanovo, I started dancing at the Coliseum - it was the coolest club then. At the age of 17, I became a senior dancer in this club, recruited a team for myself, coached and taught dancers. In Ivanovo, I was a little star, and it was great.

But these limits quickly became too narrow for me, and I decided to leave for Moscow, which seemed to me incredible, incomprehensible. Over time, I also headed the Moscow luxury clubs - I worked in the most popular club in Moscow in the very cool show, for two years in a row he took awards at the competition of the Russian club industry as the best choreographer and performer. After that, I worked in the team of Anita Tsoi, the Vintage group, Yegor Creed. As you already understood, even this was not enough for me, and therefore I left for the States.

Why did I go to America? To be honest, I can't live either in Russia or in Kazakhstan. I love these countries, but they are not for me. Here people have a lot of stereotypes, stupid rules that I don't like. As a dancer, I wanted to take it to another level. And I had a three-week vacation at Vintage, I flew to Los Angeles to see what kind of city it was. Then I stayed there for another month, and then said that I would not return.

Here a situation happened to me that slowed down my development for a while. But this in no way prevents me from living on and striving for my goal. When the wall fell on me, it was really psychologically difficult, I had to gather all my will and faith in myself.

Did it feel like my life was in shambles when I found out about the amputation? Yes, sure. I even had suicidal thoughts. It was very hard, very scary. The prosthesis is not just “put on and ran”, the prosthesis rubs the leg, it swells, hurts, shoots. At night, you need to jump to the toilet on one leg or have a tank next to you - then who chooses what.On the day of the operation, I said to myself: "I can bury myself now or I can be born again" - and chose the second option.

I had all my operations in the most expensive hospital in Los Angeles - Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz gave birth there. I managed to get there because the incident happened near this hospital, and it was from there that the ambulance arrived. Well done Americans, they did everything cool, because I had neither money nor insurance.I was accepted and cured, and the state paid millions of bills.

They made me a prosthesis, it is functional, excellent, I can walk with it. Such a prosthesis costs 12 thousand euros. But I can't dance with him. A dance prosthesis costs from 30 thousand euros and more. I also need prostheses for running, for swimming - it's like sneakers, only very expensive. And I need a lot of them for the rest of my life, because I live actively. Everything will be, you just need to try and save money.

I used to just live and not appreciate simple moments. Now I understand how important our legs are. This is a wonderful phenomenon, a gift from God or the Universe, I don’t know what to call it.And when one leg is missing, it is very difficult. Here you look at your legs, and one is there, and the other is not - it is psychologically very painful. But life does not end there, you need to think more positively and be glad that you are alive and that everything is fine with you in principle. I will try to make myself better and better without showing my pain.

I do not live some kind of dream, I live here and now, I do not have any grandiose plans. I know that I will dance, the stage for me is a thrill. In no way will I be stopped by the fact that I have one leg, not two.

Every day I fight and get stronger. I started going to the gym to get back in shape - the left leg lags behind the right, it dries out very much, it lacks load. But I can’t load it now, because the leg still hurts where the foot was cut off.

I am very grateful to my friends and subscribers for their support. They write to me every day, I keep in touch with everyone, I answer everyone. I have 35 thousand followers, and I talk to everyone, give recommendations to those who are very ill, who are in similar situations. I try to support them psychologically. Basically, just be human.

Behind Dmitry Kim is work in dance groups of the singer Anita Tsoi and the Vintage group. The dancer planned to work in America, but all his dreams were shattered in one moment.
