64-BIT SYSTEM: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Last month we told you about the project's upcoming transition to a 64-bit system. The new product is designed to fix game crashes due to
shortage random access memory(currently it is a 32-bit application, and therefore is unable to fully utilize the resources of PC users) and give developers more opportunities to create new content.
But that's not all the changes! At the same time, the developers are fixing the bug that leads to crashes. Although the problem occurs quite rarely, it leads to a sharp increase in RAM consumption, which can cause discomfort. In other words, Warface will not only interact better with available RAM and resources hard drive, but will also get rid of some technical problems.

Let's move on to questions and comments.

ANSWERS ON QUESTIONS
Kleverbot: Will the problem with the memory allocation failed error be fixed? RAM 16GB

Yes, this is the main reason for the transition. Being a 64-bit application, the game can use PC resources that the 32-bit version cannot.

But these are not all the changes: in parallel, the developers are fixing the bug that leads to crashes. Although the problem occurs quite rarely, it leads to a sharp increase in RAM consumption, which can cause discomfort.

Intel220593: How can I find out how many bits I have?

Go to "My Computer".
Right-click on an empty space in the window.
Select Properties.
Find the "System Type" line.
Please note that this line also indicates the bit depth of your processor. It will also be useful to us.

An alternative option: click on the “System” line and go to the “Control Panel”.

kiyam92: I have 2 gig slots, a total of 4 gigs, is this enough for 64bit?

System requirements for Windows 10
Here's what you need to upgrade to Windows 10 on your computer or tablet.

Latest OS Version: Make sure you are using the latest version: Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 Update.
Find out what version of OS you are using.
Need latest version? Download Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or Windows 8.1 Update.
Processor: at least 1 GHz or SoC
RAM: 1 GB for 32-bit system or 2 GB for 64-bit system
Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS or 20 GB for 64-bit OS
Video adapter: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
Screen: 800 x 600

u_2a9f62a7b8: Seriously? you need a suitable percentage to start with

It's like that. If your processor does not support 64-bit, then the new OS will not be able to work with it. Such outdated processors were widely used in 2003, but their mass production was discontinued in 2010. We hint to you: it's time to dust off your PC and improve the components. Over the past 8 years, many more modern and very inexpensive models have been released.

Dedokingi: how to switch to a 64-bit system if you have 32

To reinstall Windows, you need to have the official distribution and product activation key. The distribution kit and installation instructions can be contained on a disk or flash drive, or can also be downloaded from the official Microsoft website. As a rule, you receive the key along with the distribution kit and instructions after paying for the product.

It is not necessary to buy a new OS: just find the media, instructions and key that you used before - modern operating systems come in two versions at once.

Before reinstalling, make sure that you really have a 64-bit processor and a 32-bit OS, and that all valuable files are saved to a cloud service or external storage device.

If you encounter any difficulties, you can use the instructions on the official Microsoft website or contact Windows technical support.

Xelvart: will all files be deleted when switching to 64bit?

It depends on the installation method. When upgrading to versions of Windows 7, 8 and 10, you have the option to keep all your old files. They are usually moved to a folder on the system drive called windows.old.

If you have other local drives that do not have the OS installed, the information on them will also be saved. The main thing is not to accidentally format extra space.

Before reinstalling Windows We recommend making a backup of your most important files and drivers. You can use standard Windows tools, as well as cloud storage or portable storage.

h3ySt0ojka: You want to say that when the warface switches completely to 64 bits, then modern cars Will the fps in the game be much higher?

Whether there will be an increase in performance will only become clear after full testing. On this moment we can only say one thing: performance will remain at least at the same level, while client crashes due to lack of memory should stop.

stalker198999: I already have 64 and 4 gigs of RAM, but the fps is 40 50 because it’s a laptop

Often not designed for modern games Laptops have a weak video card that runs on RAM resources. Perhaps this is the reason. In addition, some laptops provide expansion of RAM: there is one or more unoccupied slots for this. But each case is individual.

Also, do not forget that any device must be cleaned: both physically (from dust) and programmatically (from unnecessary processes and caches).

Dynamix004: Guys, what about the kernels? Will 2 still work or will you do at least 4?

The game includes many different data streams. The operating system distributes these threads across the processor cores. How the distribution will go depends on many factors, including the frequency and generation of your processor, the total volume of the active load, and the power of other PC components. The system independently evaluates these factors and uses the required number of cores: two or more.

The interaction between the game and the processor is a topic for a separate large material. Here we will answer briefly: Warface supports working with four processor cores or more.

In the future, developers will continue to optimize, but the current transition of the client to 64 bits is not related to this.

rhgrahgrag: how to overclock the processor to maximum speed?

TheMordorGX: I have x64. It's been standing for a long time. RAM - 16 GB. The rest of the “systems” are the most unpretentious. The game crashed three times yesterday! But the bug report is not sent. The computer is "clean". This problem is only in Warface. To say that “crashes” occur due to a lack of RAM is stupid. DL, Witcher, and minecraft with shaders think the same.

We are very sorry that you did not carefully read the previous news. The problem lies not in the bitness of your OS, but in the bitness of the game (program) itself - it is still 32-bit. And in this context, the amount of RAM you have plays virtually no role.

The games you listed have long ago abandoned the 32-bit system and switched to a new standard, which is what we are striving for - our news is about this. In order not to draw erroneous conclusions and to better understand the situation, please carefully re-read the previous article.

27dimarik27rus: you can't go from x64 to direct x9, so either direct x11 or direct x 12

Can. And we will certainly do this!

Even if you have DirectX 11 or 12 installed, there is no need to worry. You can play Warface without any problems, since all older versions of DirectX contain the files and libraries necessary to run applications on DirectX 9 and lower.

There are no plans to transfer the game itself to DirectX 11 or 12 yet, but we will take your request into account.

11GSX11: Interesting, have you estimated how many people you will lose? After all, not everyone will want to switch to 64 bits.

It continues to hold a leading position among the games, featuring high-quality graphics, a variety of game modes and story operations. Exciting skirmishes and frequent updates attract thousands of new players who dream of testing themselves in fierce battles. Already existing content is diluted by introducing new modes, campaigns and weapons. The project contains all the best elements of online shooters, each fighter will find a suitable class, equipment and map to destroy opponents. Interested gamers should watch the action-packed trailer and review Warface's minimum system requirements before deciding whether to download the client or look for another MMO. You need to check the power and relevance of your computer or laptop in advance so that registering and downloading the game client is not in vain.

Warface minimum system requirements

The assembly you have must match the specified components, which guarantees stable operation and an acceptable number of fps. Some developers deliberately overestimate the minimum required characteristics so that users do not experience possible problems with startup and delays. At manual setting graphic parameters, you can achieve the best performance, getting high fps. Disabling unnecessary effects will help reduce the load on your PC, concentrating on shooting. Owners of legacy systems will have to set the settings to the lowest possible, select a low resolution and stop other applications from running.

The required configuration may change with the release of large-scale patches that add a lot of graphic and content innovations. The editors closely monitor popular online games, promptly updating Warface system requirements, news and materials for each game.

In shootouts it is necessary to achieve complete absence delays, because a weak computer can freeze at the most crucial moment of the battle. It is the recommended PC build that will produce the required frames per second and a smooth image at medium video settings. Owners of gaming laptops and modern PCs have access to high settings, because it is much more pleasant to fight while watching all the colorful effects. If your PC is not powerful enough, you should think about upgrading the components so as not to be inferior to players with good technology.

After checking your system, you can start registering and exploring the new game universe, destroying hundreds of enemies and meeting your loyal comrades.

Before purchasing Warface on PC, do not forget to check the system requirements stated by the developer with your system configuration. remember, that minimum requirements often mean that with this configuration the game will launch and run stably at minimum quality settings. If your PC meets the recommended requirements, you can expect stable gameplay at high graphics settings. If you want to play at quality set to “ultra”, the hardware in your PC must be even better than the developers indicate in the recommended requirements.

Below are the Warface system requirements, officially provided by the project developers. If you think there is an error in them, please let us know by clicking the exclamation mark on the right side of the screen and briefly describing the error.

Minimum configuration:

  • OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
  • Processor: Intel/AMD dual-core 2.0 GHz
  • Memory: 1.5 GB
  • Video: 256 MB (GeForce8600 GT/ATI Radeon X1950)
  • HDD: 6 GB
  • OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
  • Processor: Intel Core2Duo E6-series/Athlon64 X2
  • Memory: 2 GB
  • Video: 512 MB (GeForce9600 GT/ATI Radeon HD 4830)
  • HDD: 6 GB

In addition to checking the Warface system requirements with your PC configuration, do not forget to update your video card drivers. It's important to remember that you should only download final versions of graphics cards - try not to use beta versions, as they may contain a large number of no errors found or corrected.

Warface requires a lot of computer resources to run properly. Her graphics on normal level, but you can only enjoy it if you have a good video card from the nVidia GeForce 8600 GT category or stronger. You can find information about the video card if you use the context menu on the desktop in the “Settings” tab, or it is better to open the computer’s system settings and look in the “Display” tab.

In addition to the video card, the computer must have Direct X version 9.0c or higher. Windows XP does not support versions higher than 9.0, which means that for Windows 7 or Vista you will have to install more advanced versions of Direct X on your computer. You can download Direct X from the official website, where you can select the current version that suits your operating system.

The game works on operating systems Windows XP/ Vista/ 7/ 8. The game will not work on older versions, and it will not work correctly on new versions.

RAM is an important part hardware. The game requires about 1.5 Gb. You will need about 4 GB of hard drive memory to install the application. You can find out whether there is enough memory on your hard drive using the context menu called up by clicking on local disk in the My Computer window.

Intel processor Core 2 Duo 1.8 Ghz or stronger is capable of adequately processing Warface game data and not being overloaded.

Ways to check system requirements

1. You can find out your computer’s system parameters using the Win+R key combination, after which you must enter dxdiag and press Enter.

2. On the desktop, right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties in the window that opens.

If your computer starts to perform poorly while the application is running, you can reduce the settings to the minimum levels, which will increase performance at the expense of worse graphics. If this option does not fix the problem, then you can check out other similar games on the site that will meet the system requirements of your PC.

Description of the game Warface

The game is known as a dynamic, exciting shooter. Players have many opportunities - missions are released every day, due to which you can level up a unit very quickly (and it’s also fun). PvP mode is an ideal option for testing a hero's strength.

The class system deserves special attention - there is still room for innovation in MMOFPS projects. For example, Warface players are divided into medics, attack aircraft, snipers and engineers - these are very good assistants for those who appreciate tactical battles and love to study different types weapons All classes perform well in PvE; roles in battles are divided in a balanced manner.

Warface system requirements - will the game work or not?

Warface is a growing online shooter that is gaining thousands of new players every day. In addition, Warface is one of the rarest representatives MMOFPS genre. I personally haven’t played anything like this before, I don’t know about you. However, many people are concerned that the system requirements for playing Warface may be too much for their computer. Whether these fears are justified or not, I invite you to understand this material with me. I tried to collect as much as possible myself various information about how Warface really behaves with different video cards, different amounts of RAM, processor, etc. Therefore, the picture of what Warface’s system requirements actually are, in my opinion, turned out to be as complete as possible. If you have not yet registered and downloaded the client, then do it right now and the client will download while you read this material.

We analyze the minimum system requirements of Warface

First, let's look at the requirements that the guys from Crytek themselves recommend, and only then I will comment on each position separately:
Of particular importance, whether you are on Windows XP or Windows 10, there is no way for Warface to work. The only thing is, if you have a multi-core processor and Windows XP, then you should know that you are not using its capabilities to the maximum. And this will also affect the performance of the game, of course.

CPU/Processor. As can be seen from the table, both in the minimum and recommended system requirements Warface is indicated dual core processors. What idea does this lead us to? Right! Warface is not designed to work with multi-core CPUs. Consequently, any multi-core CPU will use only part of its potential and therefore the performance of one core comes to the fore, and not all cores together. And in this case, the Intel chipset is currently out of competition. However, the game will simply fly on any more or less recent AMD. Are Warface system requirements strict in terms of CPU? Not at all.

Everything is even simpler here than in the previous paragraph. The minimum required memory for playing Warface according to Crytek is 1GB (1.5GB for Vista), and the recommended memory is only 2GB. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to test on a system with such a ridiculous amount of RAM by today’s standards, but I can say that on a system with 8GB the load reached 70% during the game. We minus 40% from here, which Windows always uses, and we get 30%. Thus, it turns out that the most suitable amount of memory for playing Warface is 4GB. If you have less, you can still play the game, but you will have to sacrifice graphics somewhere.

Perhaps this is the first point where the developers did not cheat and slightly underestimate the real Warface system requirements. The shooter is surprisingly well adapted to work with, to put it mildly, not the most top-end video cards currently on the market. I’ll tell you even more - those models that are presented in the system requirements for the game are no longer produced at all, but, nevertheless, they take out Warface without problems at maximum speed.

Disk space. Kraitek writes that to install Warface you need 6GB. In principle, this will certainly be enough, but try not to leave too little space on your hard drive. Especially if it is a system disk or a disk where Windows gets the page file from - all this is fraught with problems and slowdowns in the game.

Internet and communications. None special requirements Warface does not have access to the Internet. You can shoot quite comfortably even with ADSL. You won't notice any ping. Regarding communications, it will be better if you get a microphone (if you haven’t already, of course), since communication with the team plays an important role in Warface. However, this is not mandatory.

Now that you know that Warface system requirements are not a problem for your system, it's time to register! To register, just click on the button below and you definitely won’t get lost 😉
