Personal data privacy policy

This Personal Data Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the Privacy Policy) applies to all information located on the website with domain name www.site.

1. Definition of terms

1.1. The following terms are used in this Privacy Policy:

  • "Site user"(hereinafter referred to as the “User”) – a person who has access to the Site via the Internet
  • “Cookies” are a small piece of data sent by a web server and stored on the user’s computer, which a web client or web browser sends to the web server every time in an HTTP request when they try to open a page on the corresponding site.
  • “IP address” is the unique network address of a node in computer network built using the IP protocol.

2. General provisions

6. Obligations of the parties

6.1. The user is obliged:

6.2. The site administration is obliged to:

7.2. In case of loss or disclosure of Confidential Information, the Site Administration is not responsible if this confidential information:

  • Became public domain until it was lost or disclosed.
  • Was received from a third party before it was received by the Site Administration.
  • Was disclosed with the consent of the User.

8. Dispute resolution

8.1. Before filing a claim in court regarding disputes arising from the relationship between the User and the Site Administration, it is mandatory to submit a claim (a written proposal for a voluntary settlement of the dispute).

8.2 Recipient of the claim within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of the claim, notifies the claimant in writing about the results of consideration of the claim.

8.4. The current legislation of the Russian Federation applies to this Privacy Policy and the relationship between the User and the Site Administration.

9. Additional terms

9.1. The site administration has the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy without the consent of the User.

Scanning using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)

Step 1: Set up Scan to

The first two steps contain 2 types of instructions: for Windows and for Macintosh, respectively. Follow the instructions that apply to your operating system, and then go to step 3.

Step 2-1: Using the Scan To function from ControlCenter

  1. Launch ControlCenter following the instructions in step 1.
  2. On the menu SCAN Left-click on the button with the type of scan you want to perform: Image, Electronic mail (E-mail) or File.
  3. The document will be scanned into one file.

Step 2-2: Using the Scan key on your Brother machine

  1. Make sure that ControlCenter is running by following the instructions in step 1.
  2. Place the document you want to scan in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
  3. Press the key Scanning on your Brother device.
  4. Use the arrows or ↓ to select the type of scan you want to perform: Scanner in image, Scanner via email or Scanner to file.
  5. Click OK.
  6. To start scanning, click Start, B/W Start or Color Start. The document will be scanned into one file.

Scanning from the scanner glass

To scan a multi-page document into a single file, you will need ScanSoft™ PaperPort™ or Presto! PageManager, which was installed on your computer when you installed the package software MFL-Pro Suite.

Scan multiple pages without using the automatic document feeder (ADF)

    Place the first page of the document on the scanner glass and open the HP Director software.

    Click Scan a document

    Select Text as images, Editable text or .

    Save to file.

    Click the Scan button. Click Accept if the preview window opens.

    After scanning the first page as described in steps 1-5 above, you will be prompted to “Scan another page into the current document?” Place the next page on the scanner glass and click Yes.

    To scan all pages, repeat the above steps. Click No after scanning the last page. The Save As window will open.

Scan multiple pages using the ADF

    Place the documents you want to scan in the ADF and open the HP Director software.

    Click Scan a document. The Scan Document window opens.

    Select Text or images as images, Text as images, Editable text or Editable text without images.

    In the destination field at the bottom of the window, click Save to file.

    Click the Scan button. If a preview window opens, wait until all pages are scanned and click Accept. If the preview window does not open, the Save As window will open after all pages have been scanned.

Scanning and saving the document to PDF file

You can scan multi-page documents and save them into a single PDF file. EPSON Scan displays a window in which you can view the scanned pages, rearrange the pages, rotate them, and, if necessary, delete them.

    On Windows:
    Double-click the EPSON Scan icon on your desktop.

    Or choose Start > All Programs or Programs > EPSON Scan > EPSON Scan.

    On Mac OS X:
    Open the folder Applications and click the icon EPSON Scan.


Note:

    Make the settings appropriate for your document and click OK. You will be returned to the File Save Settings window.

    If you are scanning a multi-page document, click Add page, on the flatbed scanner, replace the first page with the second and click Scan. Repeat steps 3-12 for each page of the document. After you finish scanning your document, click Edit page (Selecting images) and go to step 13.

The Editing Page window opens, displaying thumbnails of all scanned pages.


Note:

If the EPSON PDF Plug-in Settings window is Display the Editing Page dialog box before saving the files is removed, the Editing Page dialog box will not open. Go to step 14.
