What equipment should be installed on the Guard Tiger p. G. Tiger (P) is a German Tier VIII self-propelled gun. Equipment for G.W. Tiger

G. W. Tiger– top at level 9

Geschützwagen Tiger (from German Geschützwagen - carriage and German Tiger - tiger) is an experienced German self-propelled 170 mm howitzer. The decision to create a heavy self-propelled gun artillery support was adopted in June 1942. Work on the car was carried out by Krupp. The concept of the self-propelled guns implied the possibility of installing four different artillery systems: 170 mm 17-cm K.Mrs.Laf cannon, 210-mm 21-cm Mrs.18 howitzer, as well as 305 mm and 420 mm Skoda super-heavy mortars (30.5-cm Gr.W; 40-cm s. Gr.W), in connection with which the car received a rather long official name Geschützwagen VI fuer 17-cm K.Mrs.Laf(Sf), fuer 21-cm Mrs.18/1(Sf) und 30.5-Gr.W (Sf) I-606/9. A similar concept was used as the basis for the Soviet heavy self-propelled gun SU-14 (1939).

The order of studying the modules:

After purchase, if possible (if they are open on other tanks), you should install the FuG 12 radio station and the Maybach HL 210 P30 and Maybach HL 230 P45 engines. These engines are unlocked on the VK 3001 (H) and VK 3601 (H) tanks.
- in any case, then we open the top-end chassis G.W. Tiger verstärkteketten. The chassis will make it possible to install all the modules and, most importantly, a top-end weapon.
- then we install the top gun and begin to feel our art for real.
- if you didn’t have engines to begin with, then we’ll make our game a little more comfortable by pumping them up.
- Well, if there was no radio station, then we take it.
- we are reaching the finish line to G.W. E100

Pros of the tank:
+ monstrous damage
+ huge splash
+ presence of armor-piercing shells

Disadvantages of the tank:
- very long recharge
- very long mixing
- very small horizontal aiming angles
- poor mobility
- huge sizes
- flat trajectory projectile flight

Equipment:

There is nothing new on the modules in this art. The rammer and mixing are simply not discussed. Of all the rest, only a camouflage network can benefit us, and we’ll take it. So:
- Camouflage network
- Reinforced aiming drives
- Large caliber howitzer rammer

Crew Leveling:
There is a lot that is ambiguous here. For example, many people think that it is necessary to upgrade camouflage for art. For this art, as well as for the previous and next ones, camouflage is not a priority, because a huge barn cannot be hidden with camouflage. This is due to the fact that disguise gives a bonus in the form of a coefficient from initial value, but we have it sadly little. Therefore, as the first cell, I offer the following set: The commander - a sixth sense, the gunner - a smooth rotation of the turret, the driver - a virtuoso, the radio operator - radio interception (although the benefit is very doubtful and you can use camouflage), both loaders - camouflage. The second perk is for the entire crew military brotherhood. Next, whoever did not receive a disguise gets one. The rest can take anything at all, since it is equally useless. The priority is still desperate.

Equipment:

Rem. a kit and a first aid kit are needed and this is not discussed. We are unlikely to burn, so we take gasoline (gold if possible) to add at least some dynamics to our barn. Alternatively, you can use chocolate instead of gasoline.

Tactics:
You should start by choosing a position. It should be occupied taking into account the trajectory of the projectile. You must immediately come to terms with the fact that throwing this is not for us. We charge for more than 40 seconds, so there will be plenty of time to take a position.
Next, about choosing a goal. There are only three priorities. The first is to inflict as many hit points as possible on your opponents, who will be difficult for your allies to kill. It's about about such targets as Maus, E-100, top-end anti-tank missiles, as well as a number of heavily armored or especially dangerous targets. The second priority is to reduce the number of guns on the enemy team. It is worth picking up the enemy if delay will lead to significant damage from this target, and also if you see that there is no one else to reach the target. The third priority is goals for which it is guaranteed will be complete(or close to full) damage. Here we include WT auf E100, WT auf. Pz.4, as well as all targets that are facing us broadside, and what’s even better – stern.
Remember that the reload time is more than 40 seconds, which means you need to work on every shot. We periodically miss even with full aim, so we cannot afford to shoot without full aim either. Trying to catch a firefly in motion is a rather hopeless task with our characteristics; I do not recommend doing this (although sometimes this task needs to be done).
It takes us a very long time to get together, which means we can’t afford to re-get together often. In this case, you need to know the maps and likely places where the enemy will appear. It’s worth going to such places in advance. The advice is relevant for most self-propelled guns (those without a rotating turret) - secure the chassis (X button by default), because going beyond the horizontal aiming angles is fraught with loss of aim, and if you are targeting the target, you will miss the opportunity to shoot. This is especially true for GVT due to very small UGNs and long mixing times.
To complete the guide, I’m posting a video in which I receive the “Master” class badge for 5 shots on this machine:

In the spring of 1942, the well-known German company Krupp received an order for the design and manufacture of a German heavy self-propelled gun, the chassis of which was used from the Tiger 2 heavy tank (at that time there was no tank itself, although the chassis was already in full use for other tank and self-propelled gun projects, unification, everything...). The GW Tiger II self-propelled gun was planned to be used for remote fire impact on the enemy at a distance of 25-26 kilometers with the help of an aircraft spotter or an artillery and instrumental reconnaissance specialist. The self-propelled guns did not have serious armor protection (maximum anti-ballistic protection); for close combat, an MG-34 machine gun was installed in the frontal plate of the hull.

Wooden model of a self-propelled gun

In January 1943, thanks to the titanic efforts of Krupp engineers, a preliminary draft of a self-propelled gun was ready, which for the first time received the designation Geschützwagen “Tiger”. The self-propelled gun was armed with a 170-mm 17cm Kanone 72 cannon, which could fire at a distance of up to 25.5 km with 68-kg shells. In parallel with this, the designers were carrying out a project to arm this self-propelled gun with a 210-mm 21cm Morser howitzer, which could fire at a distance of up to 17.3 km with 111-kilogram shells. The guns had a maximum vertical aiming angle of 65 degrees. up to -5 degrees. Since the ammunition was very large and also heavy, only 5 shells could be placed inside the hull in the ammunition rack.

In a fit of “enthusiasm,” German designers proposed installing the Czech 305-mm Skoda GrW L/16 mortar on the GW “Tiger II” self-propelled gun, however, these projects were not implemented beyond the sketches.

Captured equipment captured by the Americans, including the GW Tiger II self-propelled gun

As for the chassis of the GW Tiger II self-propelled gun, it almost completely copied the chassis of the Tiger 2 tank, but during the design process it turned out that the chassis was too short for such a powerful weapon, therefore, it was decided to lengthen the suspension by 3 road wheels ( i.e. 10 road wheels arranged in a staggered pattern + 1 independent roller at the rear). The chassis of the self-propelled gun was made of a torsion bar, individual. There was a guide wheel at the back and a drive wheel at the front.

As conceived by the designers and military, the GW "Tiger II" self-propelled gun was not supposed to engage in combat with enemy armored vehicles and infantry, however, this vehicle was provided with projectile-proof armor made of sheet metal homogeneous armor. The body was assembled by welding. At the stern of the self-propelled gun there was a conning tower. The side and frontal part of the GW "Tiger II" hull had a reservation thickness of 60 mm, the bottom - 25 mm, and the roof - 40 mm. Engineers from Krupp deliberately went for such a reduction in the thickness of the armor (which was unusual for the Germans); this was done for the sake of saving nickel and the weight of the self-propelled gun as a whole.

Presumably, the weight of the GW Tiger II self-propelled gun was 60 tons. A 700-horsepower engine was located in the front of the hull. gasoline engine Maybach HL230P30, it also housed a mechanical transmission and a driver with a gunner-radio operator. The exhaust system pipes were planned to be routed to the sides in front of the conning tower. The self-propelled artillery unit consisted of eight crew members: a commander, a driver, a gunner-radio operator, a gunner and four shell carriers.

In modern literature and some Internet resources, “Grille” auf Pz.VIB or “Grille Königtiger” is often found, however, this is not true.

Good day and welcome to the site! Friends, some of us hate art, others like to at least sometimes play with this class of equipment, but both the former and the latter should know what these or those specimens are. Now we will talk about the German Artillery SPG of the ninth level - this is G.W. Tiger guide.

TTX G.W. Tiger

Among the self-propelled artillery units at the ninth level, our unit boasts the largest safety margin. This will allow us to survive one, or even two shots from not very powerful enemy guns, but in general the amount of HP we have G.W. Tiger WoT very small. As for basic overview, it is as bad as it should be, only 295 meters.

If we consider G.W. Tiger characteristics survival, everything is very sad here. The first thing I would like to draw your attention to is that our cart has a very large sizes, which causes the disguise to limp.

There is nothing to say at all regarding booking, tank art G.W. Tiger is almost completely devoid of armor, even low-level fireflies encountered in battles can easily penetrate us, and most land mines are capable of inflicting full damage.

Mobility is no better. Due to the huge dimensions and heavy weight, has low specific engine power, very poor maneuverability, and although maximum speed We have good movement, you will have practically no opportunity to develop it.

gun

The situation with weapons in our case is quite contradictory, because the gun installed on board, with a caliber of 210 millimeters, has a number of positive and negative qualities.

First of all, G.W. Tiger gun boasts the largest alpha strike at the level, which allows us, with a successful hit, to kill most vehicles of the ninth level and below with one shot.

In terms of rate of fire, G.W. Tiger art has the longest recharge time among its classmates. For large one-time damage you have to pay for accuracy, because the spread and aiming time also leave much to be desired.

Now let's decide on the ammunition:
1. Land mine - the main type of projectile we will use most of We have better time and radius of scattering of fragments than others, which is good news.
2. Gold land mines - they differ from ordinary ones only in their increased splash; for insurance, you can buy about 4-5 of these babies, since we have small ammunition. But it’s worth taking them with you in any case, especially after update 0.9.18, in which artillery pieces with a caliber of over 152 millimeters were able to stun enemy equipment, thereby causing not only damage to the safety margin, but also temporarily reducing the characteristics of tanks caught in the affected area by fragments.

The last thing I would like to say is - G.W. Tiger World of Tanks has extremely uncomfortable vertical and horizontal aiming angles. The fact that the gun goes down only 2 degrees does not bother us much, but the angle of the gun only 5 degrees in each direction is very small;

Advantages and Disadvantages

In view of everything said above, we can conclude that this German unit has quite a lot of disadvantages, but its advantages in the form of firepower can overcome them, if played correctly. To make it easier for you, now we will break down all the strengths and weaknesses Art-SAU G.W. Tiger point by point.
Pros:
The largest alpha strike on the level;
Large radius of scattering of fragments;
A good margin of safety (compared to other classmates).
Cons:
Barn dimensions;
Lack of armor;
Poor mobility;
Long mixing;
Longest cooldown on the level;
Uncomfortable UVN and UGN.

Equipment for G.W. Tiger

In selecting and installing additional modules on this machine, we will adhere to the so-called standards. Due to the fact that for artillery there is not much variety in this matter, on G.W. Tiger equipment set the following:
1. - everything is simple, we improve our rate of fire, because the artefact takes a very long time to reload.
2. is another obvious option that will make the mixing speed at least a little more enjoyable.
3. - we have very large dimensions and this module will improve our camouflage.

Crew training

As for upgrading the skills of six crew members, there is nothing particularly difficult here either, but this issue must always be approached responsibly. From the right choice your success in battle largely depends on sau G.W. Tiger perks download in the following order:
Commander - , , , .
Gunner - , , , .
Driver mechanic - , , , .
Radio operator - , , , .
Loader - , , , .
Loader - , , , .

Equipment for G.W. Tiger

Another standard known to everyone is the choice of consumables, and if you need to save money, you can take, without any problems. However, the most correct option would be to carry G.W. Tiger equipment in the form of , , , and if you don’t want to spend 20,000 silver every battle, you can take .

Tactics for playing G.W. Tiger

As you already know, we have at our disposal a machine that has quite a lot weaknesses. Fortunately for artillery, lack of mobility or weak armor is not such a problem, because Art-SAU G.W. Tiger should be away from the battle, and we won’t move around much.

If we talk about how to play G.W. Tiger World of Tanks, then at the very beginning of the battle you should take the most advantageous position from the point of view of shooting comfort and safety and immediately begin to converge.

You can aim either at the expected positioning location of enemy artillery, so that when outgoing tracers are detected, you can remove competitors from the battle. In other cases tank art G.W. Tiger WoT should aim at the place where the enemy medium and heavy tanks are supposed to have gone.

Given our enormous firepower and the fact that G.W. Tiger art is capable of disabling an enemy with one shot, it is necessary to remember the lack of horizontal aiming angles. Thus, you need to start targeting in advance, so that as soon as the enemy lights up, you can make an accurate shot and inflict maximum damage.

Otherwise, everything is extremely simple - do not let anyone from the enemy team get close to you, always move as soon as you make a shot, constantly look for a better place to fire and try to focus on the most armored or strong opponents, sending them to the hangar. U sau G.W. Tiger World of Tanks there is huge potential, but you need to get used to this car and realize it.

German self-propelled artillery installation eighth level. It has monstrous firepower and a large radius of fragmentation (due to the 210 mm howitzer), as well as huge dispersion, long convergence and low mobility.

The predecessor of the self-propelled gun G.W. Tiger.

Research and leveling

Self-propelled gun G.W. Tiger (P) is being investigated at G.W. Panther for 113,600 experience.

  • The 21 cm Mörser 18/1 gun is a top gun that is lighter than stock and does not require chassis replacement
  • Chassis G.W. Tiger (P) verstärkteketten - improves agility and dynamics
  • Engine 2 x Porsche Typ 101/1 - research as desired, increase is minimal
  • Radio FuG 12 - should be inherited from G.W. Panther.

Combat effectiveness

G.W. Tiger (P) turned out to be quite slow, so you won’t be able to get away from fireflies like Chaffee. Therefore, it is worth looking for places on the maps where we will not be spotted at the very beginning of the battle.

The only chance to escape from a firefly is to hit it with direct fire (“one-shot”) or hit it with a close splash. The gun is very powerful, but at the same time the monstrous dispersion (0.88) and extremely long aiming do not allow us to shoot at fast targets.

Therefore, it is worth aiming at slow heavy tanks. For a self-propelled gun, we have unexpectedly good frontal armor. We have a base from a Porsche Tiger, and a 100 mm forehead. This means that if detected, we will be able to repel a couple of enemy shells.

Advantages:

  • the highest one-time damage among self-propelled guns of its level;
  • good communication range;
  • decent frontal armor;
  • a good radius of scattering of fragments from a high-explosive fragmentation projectile.

Flaws:

  • huge dimensions;
  • huge dispersion of the gun;
  • small horizontal aiming angles;
  • poor mobility;
  • low rate of fire;
  • open cabin.

Crew

  • Combat Brotherhood will increase the characteristics of the tank.
  • Camouflage will increase the machine's stealth.
  • The combination of Eagle Eye + Radio Interception will give a 5% increase in visibility.
  • The combination of Smooth turret rotation + Smooth movement will allow you to waste less time on alignment when moving and turning the turret.
  • The sixth sense will help determine whether a tank is detected or not.
  • The off-road king will increase mobility on soft soils.
  • Desperate will increase DPM in heated battles.
  • Intuition will help you change shells faster.
  • Non-contact ammunition rack will increase the strength of the ammunition rack.
  • Virtuoso will improve maneuverability slightly.
  • The repeater will slightly improve allied radios.

Equipment

  • The rammer will speed up reloading slightly.
  • The camouflage network will increase the stealth of the vehicle.
  • Reinforced aiming drives will speed up the aiming of the gun.

Equipment

The equipment is standard - Repair kit, First aid kit, Fire extinguisher, but if necessary, to increase dynamics, the fire extinguisher can be replaced with 100-octane gasoline or 105-octane gasoline.

Ammunition

The main shells are high-explosive fragmentation.

Geschützwagen Tiger(from German Geschützwagen - carriage and German Tiger - tiger) - experienced German self-propelled 170 mm howitzer. The decision to create heavy self-propelled guns for artillery support was adopted in June 1942. Work on the car was carried out by Krupp. The self-propelled gun concept implied the possibility of installing three different artillery systems on one base chassis: a 170 mm 17 cm Kanone 72 cannon, a 210 mm 21 cm Morser howitzer and a 305 mm Skoda GrW L/16 mortar, which is why the vehicle received a rather long official name Geschützwagen "Tiger" fur 17 cm K72(Sf), fur 21 cm Mrs 18/1(Sf) und 30.5 cm GrW Sf I-606/9. A similar concept was used as the basis for the Soviet heavy self-propelled gun Su-14.

Research and upgrade of GW-Tiger

GW-Tiger can be researched after Gw-Panther for 166,000 experience

By purchasing the GW-Tiger self-propelled gun, you move to level 7 of the German artillery tree. To start the game on GW-Tiger with maximum return- install previously researched modules on it. These could be the FuG 12 radio and engines: Maybach HL 210 P 30 and Maybach HL 230 P 45, which are being studied on VK 3001 (H) and VK 3601 (H). First of all, it is recommended to study the chassis of the GW-Tiger-Ketten Ausf. B for 16940 experience. It will increase the carrying capacity and allow you to install all the necessary modules, as well as a top-end weapon. Then the research can be directed towards the 21cm mortar Mrs 18/1(Sf) for 67500 experience. This is one of the best tier 7 self-propelled guns in the game. Its projectiles have splash damage of 7 squares around the point of impact and cause significant damage to heavy equipment.

In the image: GW-Tiger self-propelled gun model

Combat effectiveness of GW-Tiger

GW-Tiger- very effective self-propelled guns. This is due to low maneuverability and long reload times, but to a greater extent However, with the fact that the art predecessor Gw-Panther has a completely different effective play style, so you will actually have to learn to play all over again. On the other hand, if you understand this tank, learn to converge in advance, change position in time, then the enemies will be unpleasantly surprised by their losses from each of your shots.

Advantages of GW-Tiger

  • High damage from 210 mm mortar shells
  • Large radius of dispersion of fragments of HE shells
  • High (for self-propelled guns) durability

Disadvantages of GW-Tiger

  • The large size of self-propelled guns makes camouflage more difficult
  • Low maneuverability
  • Very small horizontal aiming angles
  • Long mixing

Playing style GW-Tiger very much reminiscent of the Grille - the first thing that catches your eye is the small horizontal aiming angle, which sharply contrasts with the angle of the GW-Panther. We have to get used to this inconvenience again. However, unlike Grill, who had good, but rather average damage, GW-Tiger can easily destroy any tank up to level 8 (and often 9) with one hit, and inflicts critical injuries on level 10 tanks.

History of the creation of GW-Tiger

The chassis was chosen as the base chassis for the self-propelled guns heavy tank PzKpfw VIB Tiger II, which was slightly redesigned - lengthened with the addition of another roller. Engine Maybach HL 230 P 30, 650 hp. located in the front part of the hull. The design maximum speed of the self-propelled guns reached 35 km/h. The armor protected only from shrapnel and rifle and machine gun fire.

Weight Self-propelled gun GW-Tiger was supposed to reach 58 tons, the crew of the vehicle included 7 people. Initially, it was planned to provide the possibility of all-round firing, but further developments showed that such a requirement was unrealistic; as a result, the horizontal guidance angle was 5 degrees in both directions. If necessary, the gun could be detached from the chassis and moved back onto a special rotating platform, providing all-round firing.
