About 907 guide from Jova. New reward system

Object 907- a tank that cannot be upgraded or bought for real money, has good mobility, beveled armor and a small silhouette. But compared to other top medium tanks, the Object 907 gun is noticeably weaker.

Conditions for obtaining Object 907 in World of Tanks

Object 907 can't get in the usual way by type: pumping any branch of research or buying gold for real money. The promotional tank and you can get it only for completing special tasks in the game. In the same way, you can get other cars, namely: medium tank M60 from the USA and a heavy tank from Germany VK 72.01(K).

Total machines for all players 30 thousand, that is, when the first 30 thousand users who have earned maximum amount Glory points in the individual classification "Third Company" will receive one of the machines of level 10. In addition, the player will have the opportunity to choose a tank, unlike previous tasks, where the prize was chosen by the developers.

Characteristics of Object 907 in Wot?

All top soviet cars presented as universal multi-tasking combat vehicles, they are characterized by mobility, good weapons and medium armor.

Armor Object 907 due to its roundness, it gives a high chance of ricochet, including this applies to the sides of vehicles. The tower of the tank is very similar to the tower Object 140, there is a protruding cover that is easily penetrated by any weapons at these levels, and the rest is rounded, has high angle and therefore better protection.

Since the tank is issued during a certain promotion, it does not have modules upgrade.

Advantages:

  1. Armament has a good rate of fire, armor penetration, as well as very good accuracy.
  2. high maximum speed, to which Object 907 and mobility, agility can accelerate.
  3. Inconspicuous dimensions, due to which Object 907 is not entirely easy to notice. In addition, he can use some cover, such as mounds.
  4. Frontal armor often ricochets from enemy shells, it is very difficult to penetrate it in the forehead.

Disadvantages:

  1. The turret cover and hatches are easily penetrated by all opponents.
  2. The ammunition rack is very vulnerable.
  3. Vertical aiming angles are below average.

A Soviet medium tank "Object 907" drove up to our review. What is he like, does he look like relatives and what is the best battle tactic? Let's talk further.

Object 907 - promotional soviet tank Tier X Middleweight. You can get it at. Despite the fact that 30,000 top players received the tank in the third campaign, it was also available for selection in subsequent campaigns.

Tactical and technical characteristics

We start our review with the strength of the machine. The 907th has a durability of 2000 units. This is not the highest result among classmates, but it is very close to it. So, T-22 Wed. has a durability of 1900 units, and the American T95E6 has a top 2150 units.

Booking at first sight does not cause delight: the hull is 110/100/45 mm, the tower is 228/180/46. The main thing here is not millimeters of armor, but the shape of the tank itself. It is streamlined, down to earth, hard to catch. It will be extremely difficult to break through such a technique “in the forehead”, but the sides should be protected. The turret, as if recessed into the hull, is almost inaccessible, one has only to protect the commander's turret from accurate aimed strikes.

The review of 400 meters also does not go beyond the scope of its classmates, holding somewhere in the middle, however, this good review and exactly the advantage of this machine.

The mass of the 907th armored car is from 36 to 39 tons. It is endowed with a 610 hp engine. Consequently, the specific power of equipment cannot be high - only 16.94 Horse power per ton. In comparison with classmates, this result is low. For example, the specific power of the M60 is 20.53 hp / t.

The maximum speed is again within the framework: 55 km / h. The T-22 Sr has the same result. Turning speed - 40 degrees / s, turret rotation - 30 degrees / s. These are quite good indicators of the speed and maneuverability of the armored vehicle.

gun

The next item will talk about the armament of the Object. Its gun is similar to its Soviet relatives, it has the usual damage of 320/320/420 units. This is a low result among classmates. For example, the M60 has 390/390/480 damage, while the American T95E6 has 400/400/515 damage.

However, this damage figure is offset by the Object's rate of fire: 9.23 rounds per minute results in almost 3,000 damage per minute. Only T95E6 can compete with such a result among classmates, their difference of seven units is not visible, which is why we can say with confidence about the highest result in rate of fire.

The armor penetration value of 264/330/50 will allow you to successfully attack special vehicles. Of course, difficulties can arise with heavy equipment, but here you can get out of gold or, using maneuverability, attack from the side.

The vertical aiming angles, on the contrary, are very upsetting. The gun can bend down only five degrees - inconvenient.

But accuracy shouldn't be a problem. Precisely at close and medium distances. But with long-range fire, inconvenience may appear. The dispersion at 100 meters is 0.36 meters, the stabilization is average, but the aiming speed of two seconds is excellent.

Advantages and disadvantages

It will help us to systematize all the knowledge gained precise definition pros and cons of this technique. So we will clearly see and remember all of the above.

The benefits include:

  • mundane silhouette;
  • booking;
  • maneuverability;
  • rate of fire;
  • good accuracy.

Cons of Object 907:

  • vulnerable commander's cupola;

Equipment

There are always two ways to install equipment. Hiding cons or improving pros. Having seen a clear picture, we go along the second path and strengthen the armored car.

  • Rammer will increase the amount of damage per minute. We already have a good result, so we will increase it to be with the top indicator;
  • Vertical stabilizer will provide even greater accuracy of the gun with our average;
  • Improved ventilation will increase all crew skills.

The third paragraph can be replaced coated optics for more better view, which will be needed on open maps.

Crew training

Object 907 has four people in its crew team: commander (radio operator), gunner, driver and loader.

The choice of crew skills must always be approached thoughtfully. The outcome of the game on your tank may depend on the skills of the team. We offer the following training sequence:

  • Commander (radio operator)"Sixth Sense", "Repair" , « The Brotherhood of War» , "Radio Interception";
  • Gunner -"Repair", "Smooth turn of the tower", "The Brotherhood of War", "Disguise" ;
  • Driver mechanic- "Repair", "Smooth running", "The Brotherhood of War", "Disguise" ;
  • Charging- "Repair", "Non-contact ammo rack", "The Brotherhood of War", "Masking" .

Equipment

A standard purchase with a lack of silver can be considered a set:

  • small first aid kit;
  • small repair kit;
  • manual fire extinguisher.

However, if it is possible to take a better set, we take this:

  • large first aid kit;
  • large repair kit;
  • additional rations (you can also take an automatic fire extinguisher, but this technique rarely burns, so this is better).

How to play Object 907

The Soviet tank is a very promising vehicle. She is interesting and ready to implement different tactics.

On the Object, you can fight from the second line, thanks to excellent camouflage and accuracy. Or you can use it as an attack aircraft, having excellent frontal armor, damage per minute and maneuverability.

To move, attack on the sides or stand in the bushes to demonstrate their accuracy is the business of every tanker. This tank will be able to show itself in battle from different angles. It remains only to try it!

On May 20, 1952, a special meeting of the chief designers of tank and diesel plants was held at the Ministry of Transport Engineering with the participation of the commander of the BT and MB SA, Marshal of the Armored Forces S.I. Bogdanov, where the prospects were discussed further development and improvement of domestic armored weapons and equipment, as well as the development of new models of tanks with more powerful weapons, enhanced armor protection, high dynamic and operational performance.

And already on June 18, 1952, the chairman of the STC GBTU, Lieutenant General V.V. Orlovsky sent it to the Deputy Minister of Transport Engineering ON. Makhonin and the head of the Glavtank N.A. Kucherenko brief TTT for the design of a new medium tank. At the same time, copies of the TTT project were sent to the design bureaus of factories No. 75, No. 174, No. 183 and VNII-100.

These requirements called for the creation of a medium tank with sharply increased tactical and technical indicators compared to the T-54 (in terms of armor protection, movement speed, maneuverability, armament, rate of fire, accuracy of fire and reliability). According to TTT, the combat weight of the vehicle was 34 tons. The crew consisted of four people. dimensions: width - no more than 3300 mm, height - no more than the height of existing medium tanks, ground clearance - no less than 425 mm. Travel speeds: maximum on the highway - at least 55 km/h, average on a dirt dry road - 35-40 km/h. The average ground pressure is 0.65 kgf/cm². Obstacles to be overcome: ascent and descent - at least 40°, roll - at least 30°. The cruising range of the car had to be at least 350 km (using fuel in additional tanks, and the supply of fuel placed inside the tank must be at least 75% of its total amount).

As the main one, it was supposed to install a 100-mm tank rifled gun D-54 (D-46TA), equipped with a stabilizer and having an initial speed of an armor-piercing projectile of 1015 m / s. Part additional weapon included exchange rate (in front of the tank hull) and coaxial machine guns of 7.62 mm caliber. To protect against enemy aircraft, a 14.5 mm KPVT anti-aircraft machine gun was provided as an auxiliary weapon. The ammunition included 50 unitary shots for the gun, at least 3,000 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber and at least 500 rounds of 14.5 mm caliber.

The armor protection of the frontal and side parts of the hull and turret, in comparison with the armor protection of the T-54 tank, was to be strengthened by 20-30%.

To ensure a continuous all-round view over the workplace of the tank commander, a commander's cupola was mounted with a viewing device that had a stabilized field of view. For aiming the gun at the target, a sight of the TSh-20 type served. In addition, it was planned to use a rangefinder or a rangefinder sight (in the case of a rangefinder being placed by the tank commander, the commander's device was not installed in the tank).

As part of power plant it was supposed to have a diesel engine or a blade-type engine (GTE. - Approx. Aut.). At the same time, the value of the specific power should have been at least 14.7 kW / t (20 hp / t), and the transmission of the machine should provide a continuous change in gear ratios in a wide range, good agility, the most complete use of engine power and ease of control . In addition, the possibility of using a silencer to reduce noise (if necessary) generated during the exhaust gas process of the engine was not ruled out. Mandatory was the requirement of the possibility of overcoming water barriers depth up to 5 m along the bottom.

For external communication, it was planned to install a radio station of the RTU type, the installation of which was carried out in the dimensions of a 10RT radio station.

The performance of the tank had to be ensured in various climatic conditions in the ambient temperature range from -40 to +40°C and heavy dust content within the warranty period of at least 3000 km.

Due to the great complexity of the tasks set, the Ministry of Transport Engineering decided to conduct a preliminary design study of the new tank layout schemes for the design bureau of factories and VNII-100 to identify the possibility of meeting the requirements of the GBTU. The main hopes associated with the fulfillment of the assigned tasks were pinned on the design bureau of plant No. 75, headed by A.A. Morozov. According to his memoirs, already in December 1952, the Kharkov project of a new medium tank received the code "Object 430". Despite being involved in the preliminary design of the layout of the new medium tank by the Design Bureau of Plant No. 174, this task was subsequently removed from it due to its workload with the creation of the previously mentioned self-propelled guns "Object 500" and "Object 600", as well as other types of armored vehicles and weapons on their base.

In accordance with the requirements of the design bureau of factories No. 75, No. 183 and VNII-100 during 1952 - early 1953. carried out preliminary studies of a new medium tank, the design of the armor protection of which took into account the recommendations of TsNII-48, obtained during the development of armor protection schemes for the preliminary design of the T-22sr medium tank and the results of shelling the hull and turret of the A-22 model.

Consideration of projects for a new medium tank took place at the Ministry of Transport Engineering on March 8-10, 1953.

A report on the project of a medium tank designed by VNII-100, which later received the name "Object 907" (project leader - K.I. Buganov), was made by the director of the institute P.K. Voroshilov. AT this project the hull of the tank was cast and provided a larger reserved volume than that of the medium tank T-54 and the experimental heavy "Object 730" (T-10). It was supposed to install a longitudinally located shortened V12-5 diesel engine with a power of 551 kW (750 hp) with an ejection cooling system on the machine and use the components and assemblies of the T-54 and T-10 tanks.

The 100 mm D-10T tank gun was used as the main weapon, but the option of installing a 122 mm M-62 tank gun was also envisaged. The armor protection of the tower with large angles of inclination was equivalent to the armor protection of the T-10 tank. Generally armor protection machine was increased by 30% compared with the armor protection of the T-54 tank. In this case, the driver was located in the hull under the shoulder strap of the tower.

The transmission of the machine was offered in two versions - hydromechanical and mechanical (similar to the T-54 and T-34 tanks). In the undercarriage (in relation to one board), a six-roller scheme was used.

The estimated combat weight of the tank was 35.7 tons.

The project of a medium tank, developed by the Design Bureau of Plant No. 183, was reported by the project manager - Deputy Chief Designer Ya.I. Ram. The layout of the machine was based on a combined version, combining the front part of the T-54 tank hull and the aft part of the T-34 with a longitudinal diesel engine with a capacity of 449 kW (610 hp) and extensive use of T-54 components and assemblies. It should be noted that in the process of working on the project, the Design Bureau considered various options layouts: with the landing of the driver in the tower and the body of the machine; with front and rear turret. However, all of them did not provide a significant reduction in the mass of the machine compared to the accepted option.

scheme experienced tank object 907

The installation of the 100-mm D-54 tank gun as the main weapon made it possible to reduce the height of the tower by 83 mm. Due to the use of a new engine of a lower height than that of the V-54 diesel engine, it was possible to reduce the height of the hull by 57 mm and place an ejection cooling system above the engine. Due to the increase in the temperature of the coolant to 120°C, the dimensions of the radiators of the cooling system were reduced by 1.5 times. These measures made it possible to carry out the laying of ammunition for the gun on both sides of the engine. A further reduction in the height of the hull limited only the position of the driver in the control compartment.

Increased engine power provided the desired speeds. In the undercarriage, support and support rollers of a smaller diameter with external shock absorption were used. The suspension elements were removed from the body through the use of plate torsion bars, which ensured its satisfactory performance.

The estimated combat weight of the vehicle compared to the T-54 tank was reduced by 3635 kg (of which: for the hull - by 1650 kg, for the turret - by 630 kg, for installing the engine - by 152 kg), and the frontal armor was strengthened by 19%, sides of the tower - by 25%.

In the process of discussing the project, the chief designer of ChKZ for engine building I.Ya. Trashutin expressed great doubts about the possibility of creating a B-2 engine with a power of 449 kW (610 hp) without the use of supercharging. In his opinion, one could really count only on the power of 427 kW (580 hp) naturally and 625 kW (850 hp) - supercharged. However, at present ChKZ could not deal with new engines due to the heavy load of serial production. As an alternative, it was proposed to abandon water cooling and switch to air. Exhaust gases of the engine should be used for ejection.

According to E.A. Kulchitsky, in terms of armament, armor protection and dynamics, things seemed to be going well from the point of view of the given TTT. However, they were obtained on the basis of an unrealistic engine with a short stroke and elevated temperatures. In addition, the air-cooled engine overheated in the summer and was difficult to start in the winter. The proposed design of the undercarriage could not provide the tank with a speed of 35 km / h along the country road: the external rubber cushioning of the rollers would not withstand, since the expected increase in speed was achieved only by increasing the speed of the roller. Therefore, there was no reason to reduce the diameter and width of the rollers. A fundamentally new chassis was needed.

Due to the fact that in the presented projects of new tanks (in addition to VNII-100, plants Nos. 183 and 75 put forward their projects), the tactical and technical requirements of the GBTU were not fully developed, the Ministry of Transport Engineering decided to continue work. In addition, in March 1953, the Ministry of Heavy and Transport Engineering (since March 28, 1953, according to the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 928-398, the Ministry of Transport Engineering became part of the Ministry of Heavy and Transport Engineering (headed by V.A. Malyshev ) in accordance with the requirements of the GBTU for a new medium tank, issued an assignment to diesel plants to develop an engine for it.

Based on the consideration of the drafts of the preliminary layouts of the new TTT medium tank for it in May 1953, they were refined and finalized at the STC GBTU, agreed with the Ministry of Heavy and Transport Engineering and sent to plants No. 183 in September of the same year (plant director - I.V. Okunev, chief designer - L.N. Kartsev), No. 75 (factory director - K.D. Petukhov, chief designer - A.A. Morozov) and VNII-100 (director - P.K. Voroshilov) to present pre-draft designs by January 1, 1954

On the basis of these brief TTTs, the STC GBTU compiled and agreed with the Ministry of Heavy and Transport Engineering thematic cards for R & D on the creation of a new medium tank, which in November 1953 were sent to the design bureaus of factories No. 183, No. 75 and VNII-100, Unlike approximate brief TTTs, in these thematic cards, the ammunition load for the main weapon was increased to 45 rounds, the non-penetration speeds and course angles of shelling of the armor plates of the hull and turret were specified, the maximum speed on the highway was increased to 55 km / h and the engine type B-2 with 5 kW generator.

Clarification allowed performance characteristics tank after consideration of draft designs.

The estimated cost of the work was determined at 1 million rubles, of which 600 thousand rubles were allocated for 1954, and 400 thousand rubles for 1955. The activities of factories No. 75 and No. 183 were financed by the USSR Ministry of Defense. The customer from this ministry was the NTK GBTU. VNII-100 conducted its development at the expense of funds allocated by the Ministry of Heavy and Transport Engineering on the topic of determining the possibility of creating a cast hull of a medium tank.

The chief designer and, accordingly, the design bureau and the subsequent manufacturing plant were determined on a competitive basis after reviewing the draft designs.

Further work on the creation of a new medium tank was carried out on the basis of the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 598-265 of April 2, 1954. military equipment opened new topic- development of a medium tank with improved performance characteristics compared to the T-54 (in terms of armor protection, movement speed, maneuverability, armament, shooting accuracy and reliability). Plants No. 75, No. 183 and VNII-100 were identified as the lead performers of this R&D theme.

The developed pre-draft designs of a new medium tank designed by the Design Bureau of Plant No. 75 (“Object 430”), No. 183 and VNII-100 (“Object 907”) during 1954 twice (February 22 - March 10 and July 17-21) were considered in Ministry and STC GBTU. As a result, the STC GBTU put forward a number of additional requirements and comments to the project of a new medium tank, sent on September 6, 1954 to the design bureau of factories and VNII-100.

As for the further participation of VNII-100 in the creation of a new medium tank, during 1954-1956. he, together with TsNII-48 and his Moscow branch, conducted a series of experimental studies to develop the armor protection of the Object 907 tank. Along with this, they made prototypes hull (in the mass of the hull of the T-54 tank) and turret. Carried out in April 1955 at the NIIBT training ground, shelling tests of experimental armored hulls of the Object 907 tank, made both in a solid cast and in a welded version - from large cast assemblies ( top part- rolled, lower frontal and aft parts - cast, while the cast armor had curved shapes of variable section with large structural angles of inclination of the parts), showed a significant increase in projectile resistance compared to the hull of the T-54 tank, especially in terms of protection against damage HEAT rounds 76.2 and 85 mm caliber, as well as PG-2 and PG-82 grenades of the RPG-2 hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher and mounted grenade launcher SG-82.

The joint work of TsBL-1 and TsNII-48 to study the feasibility of manufacturing cast armor hulls for a new medium tank began in 1953. During 1954, studies were carried out on the optimal forms of armor protection in relation to the layout of the medium tank "Object 907", working drawings were issued towers and hulls in three versions: one-piece and two welded. Moreover, the first version of the welded hull was assembled mainly from cast armor parts (with the exception of the upper frontal sheet, roof and bottom), and the second had sides from profiled rolled products of variable thickness. At the same time, technological processes for welding and assembling hulls were developed, laboratory studies were carried out using the technology of armored rolling of sheets of variable thickness, and model equipment for a one-piece cast hull was made. However, at the end of 1954, only the turret and hull, made according to the third option, were manufactured and submitted to the NIIBT training ground for shelling tests.

With an equal mass of armored hulls of the T-54 tank and the Object 907 tank, the latter showed an advantage in tests in protection against armor-piercing shells when firing at the frontal part and on the sides. The heading angle of non-penetration by an armor-piercing projectile for the sides of the Object 907 tank was ± 40 °, and for the T-54 tank - ± 20 °. In the joint decisions of the Academic Council of TsNII-48 and VNII-100 dated July 28, 1955, as well as in the decision of the Ministry of Transport Engineering dated July 16, 1956, the significant advantages of the new type of armor and the need for its introduction into tank building were indicated. However, in view of the possibility of fulfilling the TTTs in force at that time to protect tanks from being hit by conventional armor-piercing shells Due to the old constructive types of armor and the lack of TTT to protect tanks from cumulative ammunition, tank design bureaus of factories refrained from the widespread use of fundamentally new constructive forms of armor protection for the hull and turret of the tank, associated with the need to use large castings of a complex profile.

Object 907 did not go into the series: it was let down by excessive "advancement". During consideration at the plenum of the scientific and technical committee of the GBTU, it was indicated that the project of object 907 with a hydromechanical transmission, a new hull and an improved turret meets the tactical and technical requirements and surpasses the T-54 tank in the main parameters, but due to the complexity and underdevelopment of the design of a number nodes and mechanisms cannot be accepted. The Plenum recommended to send a preliminary design of object 907

"... to factories No. 75 and 183 for use in the development of technical projects for a new medium tank."

The only thing that was proposed to continue was a test by shelling with armor-piercing and cumulative shells armored corps because it had great importance for objects 140 and 430. By the summer of 1954, VNII-100, using the project of object 907, had already developed a project for an armored hull in relation to the layout of the Tagil tank.

Object 907 was planned to be made mainly from armor casting. The direct developers of the design and technology were the Moscow branch of VNII-100 (in the recent past - the Central Armor Laboratory) and TsNII-48, which is part of the Ministry of the Shipbuilding Industry, but continues to cooperate with tank builders.

The advantages of casting technologies in the manufacture of armored structures have long been known and widely used. Their main advantage in the joint report of VNII-100 and TsNII-48 for 1955 was presented as follows:

"Cast armor expands the design possibilities in creating armor protection structures of any shape and provides the necessary anti-projectile resistance of individual areas of the structure, depending on the tactical and technical requirements."

The main disadvantage of cast armor, namely: lower resistance compared to katana, at large angles of impact with shells, from 45 degrees or more, had practically no effect.

IN USSR teamwork two institutes to study the possibility and feasibility of manufacturing cast armored hulls or their components for a new medium tank began in 1953. In 1954, research was continued in the form of a broader topic "Development of armor protection for a promising medium tank." During the year, research was jointly carried out on the optimal forms of armor protection in relation to the layout of a medium tank, working drawings of the turret and hull of the medium tank object 907 were issued in three versions: one-piece and two welded, and if the first was assembled mainly from cast parts (with the exception of the upper frontal plate , roofs and bottoms), then the second one also had a board made of profiled rolled products of variable thickness. At the same time, technological processes for welding and assembling hulls were developed, laboratory studies were carried out using the technology of armored steel with variable thickness, and pattern equipment for a one-piece cast hull was made. However, in 1954, only the corps last third type.

At the beginning of 1955, tests were carried out on a hull welded from cast parts. In general, it met the requirements for new medium tanks and significantly surpassed the T-54 tank in terms of projectile resistance. After that, a shortened one-piece cast hull was made and fired, which is a closed contour of full-scale elements of the bow, side and stern parts. It turned out that the developed technological process ensures the production of a high-quality casting with the planned projectile resistance. By the end of the year, it was planned to cast a full-size hull with changes based on the results of the first tests; its shelling was planned for the beginning of 1956.

However, it became clear that modern cumulative ammunition, for example, 85-mm non-rotating projectiles, quite confidently penetrate the frontal protection of the 907 object, regardless of the manufacturing technology. The tower, for example, was struck at any heading angles. More or less, only the frontal parts of the hull held the blow, but only in those parts that had a maximum angle of inclination to the vertical.

Playing at Object 907

This tank in its gameplay is similar to pumped medium tanks Soviet Union. It has poor horizontal aiming angles. However, he has a strong tower. Therefore, a person needs to act carefully in every battle. Experienced Players recommend playing through the tower. With its help, the gamer will beat off shells even of tank destroyers of the tenth level.

The tank is best shown as an attack aircraft. You need to find a lone heavy tank or tank destroyer. Then rush in and destroy it. In the clinch, the enemy will not be able to penetrate the armor of Object 907. In addition, the tank has good accuracy and camouflage. In some situations, the gamer can stand in the bushes and support his allies.

On city maps, the car performs well. The gamer can ride with both heavy and medium tanks. The user needs to try not to take damage. Since exchanging HP on this tank will not work due to the low margin of safety.
