It is better to travel around the Crimea by car. So you can choose the route yourself and slowly enjoy every moment, which opens up a lot for the autotraveller. The whole trip may take about 5 days, but any seasoned tourist advises to increase this period by at least three times.

Most popular route

One of the most impressive car routes in the Crimea:

  • Kerch - Feodosia - Planerskoye (Koktebel) - Sudak - New World- Zelenogorie - Yalta - Alupka - Ai-Petri - Scientific.

Only about 500 km one way.

Kerch – Feodosia

The Kerch ferry crossing itself is already an attraction. A kind of mini-sea voyage. Crossing the water section of the path from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the weather. During this time, you can fully enjoy the seascapes and feel like a little sailor. From Kerch to Feodosia by car to go a little over an hour.

One of the main advantages of the city is the lack of congestion. There are always tourists, but there are not too many of them, so walks will turn into enjoying the scenery from the embankment without unnecessary pushing with your elbows.

It is best to leave the car in a shady place and take a walk. In this way, you will bypass the entire city in a few hours.

Legendary Kaffa

Interesting places in Feodosia:

  • Aivazovsky Gallery;

Aivazovsky is the best marine painter in the world. Viewing his creations is a true aesthetic pleasure. Starting a cultural program from this place is the key to a successful holiday and the right attitude for a further journey.

  • Green Museum;
  • Column of Constantine;
  • Genoese fortress.

Do not forget to take a walk around the surroundings near the fortress, but be careful - in some places the seashore is very steep. By the way, have you ever seen capers bloom? Not? Nothing, having been here, fix it.

Koktebel

It bears two names, the second is Planerskoe, which the place owes to Mount Uzun-Syrt and comfortable winds. Also in Soviet years competitions between glider pilots were held on the mountain different countries a truly historic place.

You can spend the night here, there are many places. Decompose faster to enjoy some of the most beautiful views of the Crimea that open from the Uzun-Syrt (Klementieva) mountain for a longer time.

Separately, it must be said about overnight stays in the Crimea for car travelers. Along the entire peninsula there are picturesque camping sites. There you can safely leave the car in the designated parking lot, dial drinking water and spend the night. Although the highlight of the Crimean holiday is the ability to sleep anywhere.

To spend the night, you just need to turn off the busy road. A dream in a mountainous area will leave a special impression, where the stars are closer and the landscapes are colorful.

  • Mount Klementieva;
  • Starfall of memories;

A place where dreams come true. All guests talk about the special energy of space, which is felt more subtle if you enjoy it in the air while flying on a hang glider or paraglider.

Do not forget to swim on the beach of Koktebel, wash off the "air dust" after the flights.

  • Kara-Dag;

Golitsyn trail
Grotto of Chaliapin

Take water and lunch with you. If you do not have a solid experience of climbing steep mountains, it is better not to leave the paths. The Crimean mountains are famous for their steepness and high danger of falling down.

You can stay on the trail all day, there is something to see and take unforgettable photos.

Important point! Practically in any historical or simply beautiful place The Crimean peninsula can be entered for free. To do this, you need to have ingenuity, courage and be ready for adventure. And of course, ask experienced travelers how to do it.

Zelenogorie

The advantage of traveling around the Crimea by car is the ability to independently lay a route. Near Zelenogorye, you definitely should not follow any strictly established tourist routes. Give space to creativity and spontaneous desires. Feel free to turn off the road if it seemed that there, around the corner, something beautiful and new was waiting. Don't refuse to take risks. The most interesting impressions usually arise precisely after unexpected actions.

So it is in the Crimea - here, wherever you turn, you will always see something fascinating. Greenland is no exception: waterfalls, tracts, trails, beautiful views. The choice is large.

Yalta-Alupka

On the way to Yalta, there is the city of Alushta, which, unfortunately, may not leave the most pleasant impressions. For example, you can’t just get parking for a car, you must definitely rent a house. Therefore, this town is just passing by for the time being.

But the surroundings of Alushta delight with their mountains Kastel, Denerdzhi, Chatyr-Dag, fortress ruins and the Valley of Ghosts.

The pearl of the peninsula and its surroundings:

In the lower reaches of the mountain, there are many offering to “bring up” for a certain amount. If you have your own car, it’s better to drive by yourself, of course, if you don’t want to walk and enjoy the beauties of the mountains.

The most common way to get up is by cable car. The trailers, though old, are made to last and special risk not when lifting. It is best to have a bite to eat at least an hour before the ascent, so that once at the top you don’t go to numerous eateries and enjoy the beauties in peace.

Ai-Petri is truly one of the main symbols of the Crimea, so there are many of those who are interested in your pocket. Checkpoints, merchants, guides - remember, you can do without all this.

Back down, you can remember that you have a car and try out a good serpentine road leading through the plateau.

  • Grand Canyon.

It is there that the road from the serpentine leads after Ai-Petri. You need to set aside a whole day to see it. Be sure to take your time and charge your cameras.

Scientific

Nauchny is an urban-type settlement in which the Crimean Astrophysical Laboratory is located. There are several small museums, observatories, telescopes and the atmosphere of real scientific experiments.

In Nauchny, it will be good to stop for the night.

Tired of car life and dusty roads, you will be glad to find yourself in a cozy, quiet hotel away from the hot sun, which is really less there thanks to the densely growing pines.

Summing up

This route involves 500 km of travel to see only a part of the most interesting sights and fascinating landscapes. Crimean peninsula. Of course, if you wish, you can go back by a new route or continue your journey further. It all depends on time, effort and your desire.

I want to tell you about the nuances of traveling to the Crimea from the Russian hinterland.

What awaits you, what to look for, what to avoid, where to visit. All this is here and now. I am writing a review on behalf of an economical tourist who has not managed to save money ..)

The ferry is large and spacious. Since we ended up at the crossing late at night, we didn’t see any special beauties, but we saw exorbitant prices in the buffet on the ferry. So, be full, it will be more economical..) The crossing lasts 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, we finally ended up on the Crimean peninsula. And again the night and again nothing is visible.

end point our trip was city of Yalta.

So. Morning of the first of 10 days in Yalta.

First of all, my husband and I went to the embankment of the pearl of Russia. Yalta met us with rain, which at first made us very sad, but already on the second day, when the sultry heat began, we were grateful for the coolness on the first day, when we walked through beautiful places without languishing from the heat. The embankment in the rain is not a crowded place. What I would like to note with regards to the embankment.

1. Sea. A beautiful expanse of water stretching into the distance. The view is amazing, especially on a cloudy day.

You can see jellyfish, crabs, 5 species of fish right from the embankment.

2. Morning coffee. There is a great place where you can drink KoFishka coffee. The drinks are different, rich, tasty, pleasant desserts, the service is top notch. The cost is acceptable.

3. Nutrition. There are many cafes and canteens on the embankment, which is an important fact for the economical tourist. Choose a cafe with wi-fi, not everywhere (!). I can recommend Garry's burger.

4. Money down the drain. Pandas, squirrels, bears roam. People in suits who impudently demand money for a photo with them after the photo, that is, without stipulating this fact in advance. Neither is good. Neither is cheap. Be careful.

There is an amusement park like "Las Vegas in Yalta", right in the center of the embankment. You won't win anything. Just have fun, play on the rides.

Aquarium. It can be visited for 150r. from the person you will see marine fish. Yes, there are many of them, they are different, there are even already dead ones.

5. Communication. Immediately I advise you to purchase an MTS SIM card on the peninsula. Megafon seems to be all over Russia, but, apparently, Crimea has not yet been taken into account in Megafon and incoming calls will cost you a pretty penny, not to mention outgoing ones.

6. Worthwhile Entertainment. It is worth paying attention to the cable car park (to the right of the embankment, if you are facing the sea). A very interesting project. For 400r. per person you will have the opportunity to walk under the crowns of trees on bridges, ropes and hanging paths.

That's how the first day went. We explored the territory and got acquainted with the area and prices.

Second day. The weather cleared up. We are going to the vicinity of Yalta. I must say right away that traveling by yourself will be much cheaper than buying vouchers and tours in tents on the same embankment (for example, a tour of the three palaces costs from 2,400 rubles per person). There are buses around with directions. And if you get a map of Yalta and its environs, then in general traveling as a savage will not be difficult.

Village "Krasnokamenka" or Skala. 15 km from the Yalta bus station. Located at 430 m above sea level. Standing view. It is from this village that you will have a view of Mount "Bear". The rocks in the Red Stone are steep and sheer. You can watch the climbers, as well as buy a climbing course yourself. Here you can see the fabulous mountain lakes with a mirror water surface and collect mushrooms. You can get there both by car and from the Yalta bus station by bus 110.

Day three. Famous palaces of Yalta.

  1. Vorontsov Palace(Alupka), 21 km. from the Yalta bus station. The most majestic and delightful, fabulous. English style architecture mixed with tall towers reminiscent of the tops of mosque towers. Entrance to the palace park is free. Do not forget to take your swimwear with you, from the territory of the palace there is access to the seashore, where you can swim, get a mussel, catch a hermit crustacean. I recommend taking an underwater mask with you, the beauty is incredible!
    2. Massandra Palace, 11 km. from the Yalta bus station . The palace-terem, not high, is located on a small area. Not particularly impressed. Except at the palace interesting system water supply.
With regards to paid tours again. No one will forbid you to stand next to a group of tourists, to whom the guide tells all kinds of interesting things. So you can find out exactly the same thing for free if you are interested.
Day four. Swallow's Nest. It is better to get on a tourist boat from the Yalta embankment. Round-trip ticket costs 600r. from a person. Swimming lasts approximately 1 hour, during which time the guide will tell you about many interesting facts, about the buildings the view of which will open to you from the sea.

The Swallow's Nest castle itself is not large. The entrance there is usually closed, or it houses some kind of third-party exhibition (entrance for a fee), with us there was an exhibition of flax. Take a satin ribbon with you. On the Swallow's Nest there is a tree of desires, on which you will tie a ribbon.

At the top of the mountain, in addition to enjoying the view and beauty, you can also experience the thrill. The cost of walking along the rope bridge is 500 rubles. from a person.

geophysical cave. Cool, slippery, interesting. 150r. per person and an individual guide who will answer your questions. But dress warmly.

You can descend from Mount Ai-Petri by cable car, descent with a breeze (25-30 km/h), but do not count on comfort (lays ears) and a beautiful view during the descent. There will be 20 people in the booth, and if you do not have time to immediately break through to the window, then you will not be able to see anything .. The cost of the descent is 300 rubles. from a person. After the descent, you will arrive at the Alupskoe highway from which, by bus 102, you can get to Yalta Zoo "Fairy Tale".

My husband and I, two adults, walked around the zoo for 4 hours. A place that is undoubtedly worth a visit, it is mega interesting there (500 rubles per person). Tip: bus 102 should stop at the "Selpo" stop - the name of the supermarket, you will see it right away, quite high building. Go to this supermarket and buy: carrots, cucumbers, greens, apples, juice with straws. Animals will ask you for food ..) And on the territory of the zoo the prices are awful. 1 banana-100 rub., 1 apple-100 rub.

Day six. Marble cave. There is no way to get there by bus. We drove about 100 km by car. The place is amazing. Marble Cave is one of the five most beautiful equipped caves in the world. The cost of visiting is 500 rubles. from a person. At the entrance you can rent warm jackets for 15 rubles.) It is very cold in the cave. The tour will last approximately 2 hours.

Crimea is a peninsula very rich in tourist sites. There was simply no time for the sea. For 6 days we excitedly ran around all sorts of interesting places. And only the last days lay on a pebble beach and sunbathed, enjoying the calmness and purity of the sea air.

Where to swim in Yalta? We went to Massandra beach, this is a very long spit, located on the left side of the embankment (facing the sea). The beach is pebbly. It is possible to both lie on your towel and rent a sunbed for 200 rubles. and a sunbed with a canopy for 400r. The water in July is moderately warm, sea, salty, it stings the skin.

This is how our journey went. It was filled with emotion and admiration. I think that we, for such short term, completed the program to the maximum. More is simply physically impossible to cover. I know one thing. We will definitely return to Crimea again. And we have already noted for ourselves a couple of places that we will definitely visit on our next visit.

Without paying for housing (and our housing was free, friends live in Yalta) and the way back and forth, for 10 days for two we spent about 35,000 rubles. The main expenses were nevertheless for food (taking into account the fact that I don’t drink alcohol at all, and my husband drank a maximum of a couple of glasses of beer a day), and the rest was spent on passing tickets to tourist places.

I wish you a good next year! Make a wish about the journey and it will certainly come true. The main thing is to really want it!)

    Your Nyushka.

It happened: the Kerch bridge was finally opened, which connected the coast Krasnodar Territory with the Crimean peninsula. Now cars are already driving on it.

The event is undoubtedly solemn - but what to do with it? beach season is about to open, including on the Crimean coast. How to get to the bridge and ferry? Yuga.ru tells guests of the Krasnodar Territory and local residents about routes to the Crimea. By the way, it is worth considering that this year the guests of the peninsula have unique opportunity move across the bridge without obstacles in the form of heavy vehicles. Until October, the entrance to the bridge. They will still use the ferry.

Six paths to the Crimea through the territory of the Kuban

The most impressive route in terms of length is the road along the M4 Don highway towards Novorossiysk. From the hero city, you need to go to the Novorossiysk-Kerch highway, which is indicated on the maps as A290. The length of such a path is about 570 km(according to the Yandex.Maps service).

Another route one of the shortest- this is to follow the M4 "Don" highway to the 1159th km of the highway (to the village of Kislyakovskaya), where you need to go to Timashevsk, and then to the A290 highway, which was mentioned earlier.

The third way, the most unloved by Krasnodar residents, is, in fact, via Krasnodar. Get to the entrance to the city, exit to the Eastern Bypass, then to the Western. From it there is an exit to the Krasnodar - Verkhnebakansky highway (on the map it is A146), and from there turn onto the Novorossiysk - Kerch highway. Let's just say that this path is not the longest in length, but you need to be prepared for impressive traffic jams in Krasnodar and not only. We will have to face traffic jams in the area of Krymsk and the village of Verkhnebakansky.

The fourth route runs through detour of Krasnodar. Before reaching the regional center, you need to turn on the section of the highway (on the map it is the 1278th km) M4 "Don" in Korenovsk towards Timashevsk, where you can go through the Bely farm to the A290 highway, which will lead to Crimean bridge. This is one of short routes.

A little earlier, in the area of \u200b\u200bthe village of Pavlovskaya, you can also turn to Timashevsk and, in fact, repeat the previous route. There is no particular difference in them. The only difference is that to Korenovsk you will move along the highway, and turning onto Pavlovskaya, you will immediately find yourself on restrictions up to 40-60 km per hour. That is, the difference in 60-70 km of the way is leveled out in time.

Finally - most short route . Having left the Rostov region, get to the 1145th km of the M4 "Don" highway, where you should turn to the village of Kanevskaya (the turn in the area of the village of Kushchevskaya, do not confuse). Then follow in the direction of Timashevsk and the Bely farm. After - go to the Novorossiysk - Kerch highway, which will lead to the Kerch bridge. On the A290 highway, you need to move to new interchange on the Taman Peninsula(it is difficult to miss it), from which it remains 40 km along the auto-approach to the bridge. This path is the shortest in terms of mileage, amounting to about 390 km.

Further, having overcome 19 km of the bridge, 7.5 of which pass over the sea, you get to the Kerch auto-approach with a length of 8.6 km, and then to the Tavrida highway, which runs through the entire peninsula in its southern part.

Toll road to Crimea

All of the above routes relate to the entrance to the Krasnodar Territory from the Rostov Region, since the main flow of guests arrives in this direction. Moving along the M4 "Don" highway, it is worth considering such a component as paid areas. Us that, moving from St. Petersburg to Krasnodar exclusively on a toll road, you will have to pay about 1.5 thousand rubles at the terminals. If we talk about the segment from Rostov-on-Don to Krasnodar, then the amount will be about 350 rubles, depending on the class of the car and the time of day. At night it's cheaper.

We emphasize that you will give this money for the Rostov-on-Don-Krasnodar route, that is, these are two of the six proposed routes to the Crimea. In fact, the toll road is worth it - if your vacation budget includes additional expenses. Smooth high-quality asphalt, the absence of intersections, traffic police posts and the speed limit of the freeway can save time and nerves. And if you plan to make trips along the highway more than once a year, then the Avtodor company offers to purchase a subscription that will save you money.

Get to Crimea without paid sections

As for the alternative: from the Rostov region it is required to leave through Azov, heading to the village of Starominskaya. Then - through Kanevskaya, Bryukhovetskaya and Timashevsk. It is worth considering speed limits up to 40 km / h and not the most (to put it mildly) the best quality road surface.

On the bridge, you should pay attention to compliance with the rules traffic and, in particular, on the high-speed mode. More than a dozen cameras for photo and video recording of traffic violations were installed along 19 km.

If you are going to the Crimea from Stavropol, then you should move along the P217 highway, through Nevinnomyssk and Maykop. Then the choice will be as follows: either drive a little faster to Taman through Krasnodar, Slavyansk-on-Kuban and Temryuk (about 530 km), or along the picturesque coast, through Khadyzhensk, Tuapse, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk and Anapa. But it is worth considering that the second option is replete with traffic jams on several sections of the A147 and M4 Don highways, in the region of Tuapse, Dzhubga and Gelendzhik.

Have a good trip!

From Moscow to Crimea by car - note to the tourist. Useful articles on the "Subtleties of tourism".

Crimea is one of the most favorite vacation spots for Russians. But getting there today is not easy: by plane it is expensive, by train it takes a long time. A good alternative is a car, and when traveling around the Crimea it becomes an additional advantage: you can explore the peninsula up and down in your car, go to Yalta, Simferopol and Bakhchisaray, find beautiful sea bays where noisy tourists do not get. Everything you need to know about traveling to Crimea by car, you will find in this article.

Road

Many fans of traveling by car admit that the M4 Don highway is one of the best in Russia, if not the best: with good coverage and two-lane traffic in both directions, illuminated, with roadside hotels, motels and cafes for every taste. Paid sections are especially good, where you can go to high speed reducing travel time. One "but". On ordinary, free sections, there are a lot of speed limit signs and cameras, several traffic police posts, the closer to the crossing, the more there are (about every 70 km). In addition, you can meet the "ambushes" of the traffic police. In order not to be discovered upon arrival at mailbox a pack of "letters of happiness" with fines, you need to drive carefully and carefully - cruise control, radar detector and navigator with tips to help you. Speaking of traffic police officers. Cars with Moscow numbers are clearly not held in high esteem, this is especially felt on the peninsula. They can get mad at anything. If you are stopped illegally, do not hesitate to call the federal toll free auto lawyer hotlines (you can refer to consulting your lawyer), practice shows that many problems can be avoided.

The path from Moscow to the Crimea is not close, more than 1600 km, so it is worth paying Special attention technical condition car. “Before driving, check the tire pressure and, if necessary, inflate them to the recommended level, this will make the car more manageable. Take spare technical fluids with you and all essential tool, including tow rope, wires for "lighting up", a balloon wrench and a jack, and as a spare wheel - not a dokatka, but a full-fledged wheel. It would not be superfluous to also change the cabin filter,” advises Natalya Dronova, project manager of the Russian AutoMotoClub.

To be safe, you should stock up on federal roadside assistance phone numbers or purchase a technical assistance car card in advance, which will help out in an unforeseen situation and unfamiliar terrain and will help you avoid unplanned expenses. The same Russian AutoMotoClub will be able to send help to any place of the entire Don highway and the entire Crimea. Also, after the annexation of Crimea to Russia, the OSAGO policy is valid throughout the peninsula, so the need to purchase a “green card” has disappeared.

About the M4 toll highway

There are several paid sections on the highway, the price varies from 40 to 220 RUB for a car, depending on the length of the section. On average, 1 km of the track = 1.30 RUB. The tariff also depends on the dimensions of the vehicle. On some sections at night it is slightly cheaper to drive (by about 15%). The payment process is simple: drive up, stop in front of the barrier at the booth window, the amount to be paid is visible on the scoreboard in front. Drawer pulls out, put money in there. You receive a check, the barrier opens, and you leave. Keep the receipt, sometimes you are asked to present it at the exit from the paid section.

Prices on the page are for September 2018.

In order for the vacation to finally begin, it is not necessary to wait for the sea, you can get a lot of impressions already on the way. There are many on the M4 interesting places and attractions.

Cars at the entrances to the crossing are met by traffic police, they also keep order in the queue. Cars with pregnant women, children under one year old and the disabled are allowed on the ferry first. The port operates around the clock, and some prefer to cross at night - there is no heat and fewer cars. Ferries make 30 trips per day, their schedule can be viewed on the website. A ticket for one passenger will cost 150 RUB, for a child from 6 to 12 years old - 80 RUB. For a car up to 5 m 30 cm long, you will have to pay 1700 RUB, for more big car- 4800 RUB.

Despite all the wonderful innovations, the port simply will not work in a storm, and you will have to wait out the bad weather in the car, fearing to lose your turn. It may take more than one day, so be sure to check the weather forecast for Kerch before your trip. In addition, news about storm warnings is posted on the port's website. You can also download mobile applications, which allow you to monitor the situation at the crossing through video cameras installed there.

What you need in the port

  • Documents: passports, birth certificates of children, car registration certificate, money to buy a ticket
  • There are numerous cafes in the port and on the way to it, but the prices there are quite high, so it is better to take food and drinks with you
  • During the day, it is very hot to stand in line, and sun protection comes in handy, and at night, mosquitoes seize, so take care of repellents

Hooray, Crimea!

So, you and your family decided to go to the Crimea by car. Leaving politics aside, this is a great choice - not only because it's affordable, but also because it's cool in Crimea. And traveling to the Crimea by car is doubly cool. Here is a guide to make your trip easy and memorable.

Let's start with those who have never been to Crimea. There are many of them, because somehow a generation has grown imperceptibly, under the word "resort" perceiving only Turkey and Egypt.

And someone, on the contrary, traveled to the Krasnodar Territory all his life, considering the trip to the Crimea too difficult due to crossing the border. Well, there is no border now, and foreign resorts are either too expensive or potentially dangerous due to the terrorist threat. In short, you went to the Crimea ...

Immediately forget about lying by the pool, animators, a buffet and all this "all inclusive". In Crimea, the attitude to this is the same "primitive" as in Krasnodar Territory: everything is there, but for a lot of money. And people, in general, do not go to the Crimea for this. People come here for the sun, air and sea, greenery, fruits, walks, discoveries - that is, for the atmosphere.

A special feature is that the peninsula is very small and at the same time very different. If you decide to do something other than lie on the beach (a really hard decision) and take a little trip around Crimea, the peninsula will surprise you repeatedly, waking up completely new and at the same time completely different sensations.

Choose a place to your liking

Eastern Crimea, where the plain gradually turns into the picturesque rocky serpentine of Koktebel and the New World, is completely different from western Crimea with its vast steppes and the beauties of Sevastopol and Balaklava. And it's quite apart South coast or the South Coast, where Ai-Petri, Yalta, Foros, a huge number of tourist routes, the perfect combination of mountain and sea air and a riot of subtropical vegetation.

There are few sandy beaches (in the east near Feodosia and in the west beyond Sevastopol), mostly pebbles, but anyone can find their “perfect beach” if desired. In places with a large number of "first line" hotels, access to the beach for everyone, except for the guests of these hotels, is often paid (50-100 rubles per person).

However, there are enough places in Crimea where close to the water, ending in an almost deserted beach, not fashionable hotels are suitable, but small villages, which probably have mini-hotels, guest houses and housing in the private sector. Once you have rested in a certain place, you will almost certainly want to return there again.

The people in Crimea are simple and open. For the most part, residents of coastal cities live exclusively on tourism and try to provide maximum hospitality, realizing that they have to literally fight with the neighboring Krasnodar Territory for customers.

Decide on a budget

Approximate budget for a holiday in the Crimea by car

about 100,000 rubles

A car trip to the Crimea for a couple of weeks by a team of two adults and two children will cost you about 100,000 rubles - if you keep in mind the month of June, actual prices for gasoline (Crimean gasoline costs about the same as the rest of Russia), a road of 4,000 - 5,000 kilometers, a two-way ferry crossing (more on this below), a two-room suite with amenities, a TV and Wi-Fi, but five minutes walk from the sea. For the same money, you can find accommodation closer to the beach, but you definitely shouldn’t book in the city center - it will almost certainly be more expensive, and it’s not a fact that it’s better than somewhere in the suburbs.

Book accommodation through large thematic sites with good feedback, with detailed description places and photos. Consider the area in which you are going to live in advance by viewing street panoramas in Google or Yandex maps - sometimes this makes you radically reconsider your attitude towards an almost chosen option and choose a much more suitable one in terms of convenience and money.

Breakfasts and / or lunches prepared on your own in the kitchen or on the barbecue in the yard can significantly save the budget, so it makes sense to check their availability when booking accommodation. And, of course, the amount indicated here is very approximate, giving only general idea about the order of numbers, but it is clear that in August it will be more expensive (30-40 thousand), and together and "savages" - on the contrary, much cheaper.

Complete the car, check the documents

At this point, we have elementary things, but you know, all the mistakes in this world are stupid. For example, with a driver's license, people periodically experience different strange things: then the rights will remain at home, then their validity period will end right on the trip, then something else ... In short, once again.

Check before the trip, the car must have:

  • Tools (okay, let's not show off, but at least take a spray can)
  • Jack
  • "Reserve"
  • first aid kit
  • Fire extinguisher

Check before you travel, you must have:

  • Rights
  • Registration certificate
  • OSAGO policy
  • Casco (if you insure).

Check the expiration date or expiration date for everything that has it: first aid kit, fire extinguisher, driver's license, OSAGO, Casco. If there are passengers in the back of the cabin, it makes sense to tint the windows - given the hot and bright southern sun, this measure will not hurt even with air conditioning.

Plan your way

It is impossible to predict for sure everything that awaits you on the roads of Russia on the way to the Crimea. If someone wrote on the Internet two weeks ago that repairs were underway at this site, then by now, as you understand, this may not be true.

And vice versa: the “ideal road” of a month ago can turn into a rather broken surface or into a ruined “repair zone”. So you just have to be ready for anything and assume that in near-ideal conditions you can cover about 1,000 kilometers a day.

To Barcelona by car: the birthplace of SEAT and the most dangerous Formula 1 circuits

Spain is big country, numbering in its composition 17 autonomous regions, decomposed, in turn, into 50 provinces. Traveling all five hundred thousand squares in two weeks is not the most trivial...

If there is more than one driver, the mileage can be increased, but you should not abuse this if you are traveling with children and / or pets - they need more frequent rest on the road than you. For the same reason, it is worth making "pit stops" - stops in order to rest and stretch. A good schedule for beginner travelers seems to be this: Travel for 2 hours and 45 minutes, then stop for 15 minutes.

Your car first-aid kit is already in order (see paragraph 3), but in addition to the medicines in it, you need to have a separate “camping” first-aid kit, where, in addition to commonly used medicines, there will be individual ones that may be necessary for one of the travelers. Take on board a sufficient amount of drinking water at the rate of 1 liter per person - this will definitely be enough until you check into the mini market at the gas station.

As a “snack”, kefir or drinking yogurt, as well as apples and bananas, will not be superfluous. For lunch it is better to stay in those roadside cafes, where there are several trucks - truckers eat only where they cook well, tasty, a lot and inexpensively, even if it looks like a rickety hut.

It is better to get up for the night before dark, while the motels are clearly visible from the road and they definitely have free rooms. And also estimate the time of your arrival at the place of rest: it is possible that you will drive up late in the evening or at night, and your room will be vacated only the next day. It makes sense to discuss this moment with the meeting party and either agree on an overnight stay in another room (which is quite realistic), or spend the night somewhere in the neighborhood, or change the trip schedule ... However, everything described in this paragraph is advice on road travel in general. We pass to the Crimean realities.

Bring cash with you

Paying in shops, cafes, restaurants or hotels with Visa or Master Card in Crimea is not a problem now, although last year, say, paying with a Visa was unrealistic (as well as withdrawing money from it). But withdrawing money from cards of Russian banks is still inconvenient. This is due to the fact that many banks left Crimea after 2014 and present moment never returned (in particular, there is not a single Sberbank ATM on the peninsula), and most banks located in Crimea charge a commission of 2-5% of the amount for withdrawing funds from Russian cards.

However, there is a way out: withdraw money from any Russian map it is most convenient in branches and ATMs, do not take it for advertising, the Russian National Commercial Bank. This is Russian bank headquartered in Moscow and approximately 300 branches in the Crimea. RNKB will not charge you a commission for withdrawing money from any third-party bank, and this is a plus. The commission will most likely be from your bank, but it is not too high: in the case of Sberbank, for example, it is 1%, but not less than 100 rubles - that is, it makes sense to withdraw amounts from 10,000 rubles. Or just bring enough cash with you to not think about ATMs at all.

Buy your ferry ticket in advance

On the way to the Crimea, you reach the village of Ilyich in the Krasnodar Territory, and then a ferry across the Kerch Strait to the peninsula awaits you. Transportation of the car will cost you 1,700 rubles, they charge 150 rubles from each adult, 80 rubles from a child from 6 to 12 years old, and children under 6 years old travel free of charge (prices at the time of writing, check them on gosparom.ru) .

If the ferry does not operate due to “actual weather”, which happens in a storm and can delay you for a long time (however, this rarely happens), then the entire procedure for crossing the strait will take you no more than two hours. It's much better now than it was a couple of years ago. Moreover, the queue for loading, paperwork and departure from the ferry will take you the lion's share of time - the trip itself by water lasts about 30-40 minutes.

But "non-core" time can be, if not reduced, then optimized. After all, it is much more pleasant not to stand in line for paperwork and purchase tickets (the procedure takes from 10 to 40 minutes), but to get on the ferry right away, taking a convenient place for the car (first-in and out first) and seating the family at the windows on the covered deck.

To do this, you need to buy tickets in advance on gosparom.ru or through the Gosparom application. Go to the site or download the application, register, arrange a trip, pay by Visa card, Master Card or Maestro, go to Personal Area, print out the ticket and present it at the entrance to the ferry along with the documents for passengers and the car.

Despite the fact that about 60% of tickets are now sold electronically, the queue of “electronic engineers” goes much faster, because they do not need to “stand at the window”, but only need to show the ticket and documents to the inspector at the car. Ferries run every hour, and those who have issued a ticket in advance have a chance to leave on the one that sails earlier.

The only subtle point is that if you are traveling from afar, you need to more or less imagine when you will be at the crossing in order to be guaranteed to get into the time period (time slot) specified during registration (time slot), which is six hours; otherwise, you will have to deal with the exchange of the ticket. The site has a great Q&A section that explains literally everything.

Decide what you want to see in Crimea

We have already said that the Crimea is full of interesting things and it will not be superfluous to ride around the surroundings. Moreover, the entire Crimea is, in fact, the neighborhood: the distance to the point of interest to you on the opposite side of the peninsula can be a maximum of 200-250 km.

However, keep in mind that, most likely, these will not be the 250 kilometers that you are used to in the central part of Russia: there are few direct routes in Crimea, much more - mountain and coastal serpentines. If desired, you can make a longer route, moving along the perimeter of the peninsula along the coast. Then the trip can be stretched for a week, spending the night in a new place each time, combining autotourism with small forays into the sea on a boat, because it is more logical and more interesting to get to some sights by swimming.

Here, let's say, what is not an ideal route - through the wineries of the Crimea: you start in the New World, aggravate in Massandra and, if you allow, (and most importantly - if your health allows) "lacquer" in Inkerman. But it must either go without children and with a non-drinking friend, or somehow negotiate with his wife.

But seriously, those places that you want to visit in Crimea, of course, you can choose while already on vacation, but it’s better to do it in advance - until the moment when you lie like a seal on the beach and don’t want to go anywhere.

beware of thieves

Unfortunately, there is such a topic: in small settlements rob motorists. For example, in the village of Ordzhonikidze (the locals call it Ordzho), which is generally very nice and picturesque, local swindlers, tritely seeding the bushes, “weed” a suitable car with non-local numbers in the parking lot, while the owner nearby enjoys the view or swims, breaks the glass, opens the door and drag everything that is dragged.

This does not happen in cities, and in general in Crimea the criminal situation is favorable, but in suspicious sparsely populated places it is better not to experiment with fortune. If there is no secure parking nearby, there is almost always an option to leave someone at the car or simply not stop where the terrain does not inspire confidence. It is also worth paying attention to roadside announcements - sometimes warning words like "careful, open cars" are conscious locals paint directly on the pavement.

Get ready for different roads in Crimea

When you cross the ferry to the peninsula, you will find yourself in the suburbs of the city of Kerch. The highway passes right through this city, and the roads there are ... Russian. Well, then - differently. Somewhere the roads have been “killed” since the time of Ukraine, but somewhere already lies new asphalt. The serpentine in the Koktebel region is good, as well as on the highway that goes from Simferopol to the north, to Dzhankoy ... But the road from Feodosia to Simferopol last year just started to be repaired and was explosive mixture: sections with repairs taking place on them, a repaired new canvas and pieces of the track with a very old broken surface.

We must be prepared for the fact that both very good and simply disgusting sections of the roadway come across. In addition, repairs that began a year ago will probably continue this year, so some areas may simply be blocked. However, Crimea is very simple in terms of navigation, and there is always an opportunity to choose a detour route. And no matter what road you have in the Crimea, know that you will have a not too long, but certainly an exciting trip. Good luck!
