Wife - Evgenia, worked for many years as a model for Vyacheslav Zaitsev, then for Valentin Yudashkin, is currently raising two children - Darina (born in 1992) and Daniel (born in 1995).

With regard to Boris Krasnov, the most fair statement is the well-known phrase "Self made man" - "a man who made himself." He is not yet 40, but he is already deservedly famous, his image as a leading stage designer in modern domestic show business is beyond doubt. The name of designer Krasnov is well known not only in Russia, but also in Greece, USA, Israel, Germany...

It should be noted that Boris Krasnov's father was extremely skeptical of his professional choice, considering the profession of an artist to be an occupation not for a man, and his mother, a professional artist, always believed in her son's success. The first successful theatrical productions of Krasnov allowed him to win the recognition of his father and mother as a fully accomplished person, and the work on the design of the play "So we will win" by M. His life becomes like a run - constant work ahead of schedule. Days are scheduled by the minute, regardless of whether they are weekdays or weekends. He can arrive home after midnight, and early in the morning be already in full combat readiness. Far from everyone manages to maintain such a rhythm - to be able to manage a large team of people, to clearly follow the work schedule, to keep in mind several completely different projects at once, and at the same time remain a creative artist.

Behind him is the design of the performances of the leading theaters in Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus: the Kiev Theater of Pantomime (N. Successfully works in the field of concert and theatrical costume. For a number of years he has been collaborating with the Vali-Moda firm, making out its presentations in Moscow (1990), Paris (1990), Beverly Hills, Hilton, Los Angeles (1991) and Jerusalem.

Boris Krasnov combines three incarnations at once - an artist, set designer and director. The main thing in the work, at the same time, remains an unshakable credo - to do well. Hence the individual creative approach to each person or project.

Boris Krasnov has acquired a unique experience in decorating street parties and public events. Among which stand out: the presentation of the Coat of arms of the city of Moscow (Noviy Arbat St., Moscow, 1994), "Holy Easter on Tverskaya" (Moscow, 1994), "Christmas on Tverskaya" (Moscow, 1995), " Day of Knowledge" (TsPKiO named after Gorky, Moscow, 1995), Day of Moscow (Vasilyevsky Spusk, 1995), solemn procession "There is a holiday on our street" (decoration of the passage of the column of demonstrators of the Eastern District at the celebration of the 850th anniversary of Moscow, the theme "Metro", Moscow, 1997), Holiday "Hanukkah" (Pushkinskaya Square, Moscow, 1997).

His milestone work was the design of the First World Festival-Competition of Circus Art "Golden Bear" on Red Square in Moscow (1996). The idea to build 13 circus arenas-pavilions (each 12 meters high, 25 wide) on the main square of the country - a crazy, daring, difficult idea - inspired the artist. Each of the constructed pavilions symbolized one of the geographical points where the foundations of the modern circus were born. There were also the pyramid of Cheops, where the public was shown numbers with trained pythons, the Greek Parthenon, the Roman Capitol, associated with gladiatorial spectacles. In a huge Russian tower, an artificial ice surface was installed, on which young artists from the "Circus on Ice" showed their skills. The delightful fantasy of Boris Krasnov shocked and stunned then not only the public, but also fellow specialists, and the circus pavilions built have already entered the history of modern art as "13 wonders of the world."

In 1997, after the resounding success of the First World Festival-Competition of Circus Arts, B. Krasnov was invited to Athens. Here he received an order from the Greek Government to decorate the Opening Ceremony of the 6th World Championships in Athletics at the Central Stadium "Kolomarmaros". The proposal was received in April, the stadium was inspected in May, on June 23 (!) all the scenery was ready for loading, and all the work was carried out in Moscow. For the sake of justice, it must be said that the idea of the scenery belonged to the Greek architect Nikos Petropoulos, and Boris Krasnov acted as the designer. Among the design elements are two sculptures of Apollo 6.5 meters each, a 21-meter sculpture of the goddess of peace Irina, special podiums for the orchestra under the direction of the great Greek composer, multiple Oscar winner Vangelis and performances by Montserrat Caballe. The main element of the scenery was the triumphal arch in front of the entrance to the stadium, 100 meters wide, 24 meters high and 50 meters deep. Its upper part was decorated with bas-reliefs reproducing the metopes of the Parthenon temple. Inside the arch, lined with marble-like plastic tiles, control panels for laser light installations were mounted - a whole computer center, elevator to the eighth floor, spiral staircase, air conditioners, etc. The ceremony was watched by a television audience of approximately 2 billion people, and broadcast by more than 160 television companies around the world. The scenery stood until September 7, the date when the International Olympic Committee made its decision on the venue for the 2004 Olympics, and the Triumphal Arch of Krasnov became in these days no less a landmark of Athens than the famous Acropolis.

On May 10, 11 and 12, 1996, concerts of Russian ballet stars and Maya Plisetskaya were held in New York. These concerts have become one of those events that are remembered by its creators, participants and spectators for a lifetime. Boris Krasnov had the high honor of being the designer of the gala performance of the brilliant Russian ballerina. The scenography, reproducing the hall of the Bolshoi Theater, explains the name of the concert - "Straight from the Bolshoi". When, to the solemn sounds of the Polonaise from P.I. Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin", a curtain rose over the stage of the New York City Center and the audience saw the colonnade of the Bolshoi, and the quadriga, and the lanterns, and the chandelier shining with lights, many literally had their hearts pinched and welled up tears in the eyes. And this mood did not leave the audience until the dazzling finale, when the glittering golden boxes of the Bolshoi Theater appeared before the shocked audience. Maya left the main, "royal" box and went to the proscenium, towards the hall, which had long since jumped to its feet and enthusiastically roared. The scenery changed seven times during the performance - four times in the first part, three times in the second. Against this nostalgic background, the final parade-alle of the participants took place under the "Italian Capriccio" by P.I. Tchaikovsky. Maya Plisetskaya concluded the parade along with all its participants in her regal dress from Cardin. This became a kind of world record among spectacles with the participation of Russian actors both in Russia and abroad.

For 10 years, Boris Arkadievich Krasnov has collected a collection of titles, titles, and awards that is unthinkable for show business. He is a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine named after T.G. Shevchenko in the field of culture (1987) for scenography for the play by M. Shatrov "So we will win!", Zaporozhye Youth Theater, laureate of the competition "Slavic dramaturgy" (1989) for scenography for the play "Ham" based on the play by E. Ozheshko at the Vitebsk Theater named after Y. Kolosai, winner of the Grand Prix "Golden Astrolabe" of the festival of television films shot on high-definition equipment for work on the film "Moscow Melodies" (Montreux , Switzerland, 1989), six-time winner of the National Music Award "Ovation" - in the nominations: "Best Stage Designer" (1994), "Best show at concert venues in the country" (1994), "Best scenographic company of the Year" (1994), "Best Production Designer" (1995), "Best Production Designer" for the decoration of the First World Festival of Circus Arts "Golden Bear" and Valery Leontiev's show "On the Road to Hollywood" (1996 d.), "Best director-scenographer" for the super show "On the road to Hollywood" (1996 .); laureate of the "Person of the Year" award in the nomination "Designer of the Year" (1995 and 1996); laureate of Moscow in the field of literature and art for the design of the play for children "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" at the State Academic Theater named after Evg. Vakhtangov (1996); winner of the Russian competition "Manager of the Year" (1998) in the nomination "Culture", as well as many other prizes and awards, including international ones.

Boris Krasnov is a member of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia, the International Union of Variety Workers, the Association of Theater Artists, the Higher Academic Commission of the National Prize "Ovation" in the field of entertainment and popular music (1994). He is the author of the series of lectures "Management in show business" (Russian Institute modern culture, 1993) and "The role of the artist in modern television" (Russian Television Academy, 1994-1995).

The main hobby is work. He has almost no free time. Rare moments of rest are almost always associated with physical activity, sports activities. I used to play a lot: water polo, football, volleyball, basketball, went in for sports badminton. B. Krasnov is fond of collecting white milkmen. They are brought to him and given from all over the world. There are more than a thousand items in this unique collection.

Lives and works in Moscow.

The other day, due to the lack of corpus delicti, the sensational criminal case against the famous designer and stage designer Boris Krasnov, accused of extorting shares of the Inconnect company, was terminated. Previously, it was suspended, and then separated into a separate production due to Krasnov's serious illness. In the fall of 2011, he suffered a stroke, was in a coma, but then began to recover and, with the permission of the investigator, was released for treatment in Germany. The rest of the defendants in the extortion case were convicted in November 2013. Currently, the stage designer has safely returned to his homeland and is ready to continue labor activity. "Lenta.ru" understood the course and features of this not quite ordinary case.

Matryoshkas from the Flower City

The glory of the stage master came to Boris Krasnov back in the 1990s, and after the Russian National Exhibition in Paris in 2010, he could have become a living classic. However, his bold stage decision with a round dance of ten-meter nesting dolls was not positively assessed by all interested parties. In particular, the ideas of the stage designer, according to some reports, did not please Vladimir Putin, who arrived at the exhibition.

The Flower City project from Dunno's Adventures at Expo 2010 in Shanghai was not entirely successful either. Dmitry Medvedev, who was in China on a working visit, was said to be dissatisfied with the fact that the expensive decorations did not reflect current topics in the development of nanotechnology and the country's preparations for the Sochi Olympics. The huge pavilion then had to be left to China, since its transportation to Russia could cost one and a half hundred million rubles. As a result, the cost of the project, which already significantly exceeded expectations, increased from the initial 224 million to 1.5 billion rubles.

high raiders

In preparation for Expo 2012 in South Korea with a budget of 375 million, the famous stage designer was no longer attracted. Perhaps it was precisely because of this that Krasnov did not have a relationship with the organizers of the Russian part of the exhibition - Tatyana Sadofyeva's firm "Inconnect" and her son Andrey Sadofyev.

According to investigators, Boris Krasnov joined the group influential people- officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, who declared a kind of war on Inconnect.

In July 2011, Andrey Sadofiev, one of the leaders of this company, met in the Rice and Fish restaurant on the second floor of the Udarnik cinema with the chief manager of the Magma investment company, Igor Dunaev. Sadofiev was offered to buy out 100 percent of the shares authorized capital"daughters" of "Inconnect" - "GK Inconnect", - received an order for the organization of the Russian exhibition at Expo-2012 for 50 thousand dollars. Otherwise, the company's management expected serious problems from the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and even criminal prosecution. The deal did not take place, and relations between the parties deteriorated even more.

It was then, as it is believed, that Krasnov turned to his good friend Vladimir Kolokoltsev, who in the summer of 2011 held the post of head of the capital's main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with a request to take the Inconnect check under personal control. Claims against the company had very real grounds: the financial connection of Inconnect with the Prostor Design company was checked, with the help of which the Sadofievs may have evaded taxes.

However, the confrontation between the Sadofievs and Krasnov's friends did not last long. By the beginning of autumn 2011, the leadership of Inconnect turned from potential criminals into victims. On September 7, on suspicion of extortion, the ex-head of the department of foreign economic relations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Sergei Shilov (later, according to the verdict of the Zamoskvoretsky court, he will receive 8 years in prison), deputy head of the exhibition department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Yury Bogdanov (sentenced to 7 years in prison), deputy general director of Sportivnoe news agency Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation "Oleg Litoshenko (sentenced to 7.5 years in prison) and Igor Dunaev, which was discussed above. The latter received 4 years in prison.

On the same day, September 7, Boris Krasnov himself was detained. He spent two days behind bars, and then was released on bail of 5 million rubles.

And on September 22, Krasnov suffered a stroke. And it was precisely at the moment when he was discussing the line of defense with his lawyer Imanali Uzalov. The stage designer was urgently taken first to Pervaya Gradskaya, and then to the intensive care unit of the Federal Medical Biophysical Center. A.I. Burnazyan. Another lawyer for the patient, Alexander Dobrovinsky, said that Krasnov was in a coma.

The employees were also able to verify the reality of the diagnosis. law enforcement who visited him in the clinic. When the patient's condition stabilized a little, Krasnov was sent by plane to Berlin, and then to one of the clinics in Switzerland. No procedural rules were violated in this case.

If a person is on bail, he even has the right not to ask for permission to travel abroad. Boris did not give any undertaking not to leave - the money was paid, and he could go anywhere, - lawyer Dobrovinsky noted.

Shuvalov's successor and the struggle around the All-Russian Exhibition Center

And 2011 began for Boris Krasnov on the most positive note. On his 50th birthday, the decorator gathered not only domestic and foreign pop stars, but also "top" officials and businessmen. On January 22, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, future Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Sberbank President German Gref were spotted at the Forum Hall celebrating the Krasnov jubilee.

Nine months later, the stage designer, who so spectacularly flaunted his lobbying abilities and achievements, became a defendant in a criminal case of extortion. Perhaps a certain role in this was played by the conflict around the most important domestic exhibition - the All-Russian Exhibition Center, the former and future VDNKh.

Just at the end of summer - beginning of autumn, the issue of the candidacy of a new chairman of the board of directors of the All-Russian Exhibition Center was decided. The powers of Igor Shuvalov, who held this position, expired on October 1. As his possible "successors" German Gref, the former governor of Kaliningrad region Georgy Boos and Boris Krasnov.

The All-Russian Exhibition Center was preparing for a large-scale restructuring, which was contracted by major capital developers Zarakh Iliev and God Nisanov. As expensive as the project is - an estimated cost of 2-3 billion dollars - it is also risky. It is no coincidence that some observers started talking about "megacherkizon", remembering that Iliev and Nisanov were related to the infamous metropolitan flea market, and also own a number of large Moscow shopping malls.

The role of the chairman of the board of directors and his non-affiliation with the "rebuilders" of the exhibition center in such a situation could not be overestimated. Moreover, the All-Russian Exhibition Center at that time did not have a sole proprietor. Its shares were divided 70/30 between the federal government and Moscow. Such joint-stock dual power, in the presence of friendly or at least neutral board of directors and management, provided almost unlimited freedom of action for the development of 300 "exhibition" hectares.

By the way, against the background of the Krasnov ordeals, Alexei Mikushko, the former manager of the hotel business of Iliev and Nisanov, became the general director of the All-Russian Exhibition Center in September 2011. There was a hitch with the chairman of the board of directors. George Boos took up this post only in December. But on the other hand, God Nisanov also entered the supreme deliberative body.

However, as it turned out later, this was by no means the final battle for exhibition billions and hectares. Already in the summer of 2012, Boos gave way to the deputy mayor of Moscow, Natalya Sergunina. The business press claimed that the ex-governor did not work well with Iliev and Nisanov.

A funny detail: around the same time in July 2012, Boris Krasnov appeared in front of the general Russian public for the first time after the initiation of a criminal case and a stroke. He spoke on the air of a talk show on Channel One dedicated to the birth of a child with Philip Kirkorov. The decorator did not give the impression of a seriously ill person: he spoke clearly and distinctly, was in high spirits, sat on the couch, and not in a wheelchair. The shooting took place in Ostankino, and not in a Swiss clinic. Although no one has officially announced the removal of the charges against the decorator.

On the other hand, there were signs that the mayor's office was taking power at the All-Russian Exhibition Center, hardly exclusively in the interests of Iliev and Nisanov. Another major developer, the head of the Barkley Corporation, Leonid Kazinets, joined the board of directors of the exhibition center. And in May 2013, by decision of the federal authorities, Moscow received 100 percent of the All-Russian Exhibition Center. In parallel, Iliev and Nisanov received the go-ahead for the construction of an oceanarium on its territory, the largest in the European part of the Russian Federation.

A little later, in the fall of 2013, businessmen announced their intention to build two hotels with 600 and 400 rooms. But these plans were called into question.

In April 2014, Alexei Mikushko relinquished the position of CEO to Vladimir Pogrebenko, Sergunina's former subordinate in the Moscow Property Department. And as a result, VVC Revival LLC, controlled by Iliev and Nisanov, commenting on its plans, mentioned only an oceanarium and the creation of a children's leisure center.

It seems that the hotels do not really correspond to the image of the All-Russian Exhibition Center-VDNKh, which has developed among Moscow officials. At least, Natalya Sergunina speaks about the park, the museum town, the sports cluster, but not about the concentration of retail and office real estate.

silent return

And Boris Krasnov, meanwhile, again went into the shadows, trying not to fall into the field of view of the press. It was only possible to find out that the decorator returned safely to his homeland and even started to work. This, in particular, was mentioned in an interview with Chanson radio in October 2014 by singer Elena Vaenga.

The investigating authorities - the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Central Administrative District - could not find out about the prospects for further investigation of the criminal case against Krasnov. However, lawyer Lyubov Trushina told reporters that the case had already been closed due to the absence of corpus delicti in Krasnov's actions.

This news was received with hope by Dmitry Chesnov, the defender of the already convicted defendant in the Inconnect case Sergei Shilov.

A lawyer's request for familiarization with the decision to terminate the criminal prosecution against Boris Krasnov has been prepared. I think the arguments contained there can be used to justify my client as well, - the lawyer told Lente.ru.

However, a few days later Supreme Court news came about the refusal to transfer his cassation appeal for consideration. The department did not see any grounds for reviewing the Inconnect case. Therefore, the former "accomplices" of the famous stage designer will remain behind bars.

Boris Krasnov himself, in an interview with Kommersant, said that he was satisfied with the way the investigation ended: “I am not guilty and have always said this. Did you think that it could be otherwise?
