general information

industrial development Russia at the beginning of the twentieth century changed the attitude of society towards higher education. The construction of new enterprises in the east of the country and the general increase in their technical level necessitated a reform of the system higher education. The most important principle policy in the field of technical education was the specialization of multi-faculty institutes in branch universities.

In 1932, on the basis of the railway-building faculty Siberian Institute transport engineers (Tomsk), with the active participation of Professor V.M. Zavadsky, the Novosibirsk Railway and Construction Institute of Railway Transport Engineers was organized. Sergei Emelyanovich Propastin, a regular military man, was appointed the first rector - head - of the institute.

The first faculty was created - "Puteysko-Construction" (now - "Construction railways"). Specialties appeared: "Artificial structures" of the faculty "Bridges and tunnels"; "Buildings" and "Water supply" - faculty "Industrial and civil engineering".

In 1932, 569 students studied at the university, 60 teachers worked at 17 departments, including 7 professors and 14 associate professors.

In 1934, the Novosibirsk Railway Construction Institute of Railway Engineers (NoPIIT) was reorganized into Novosibirsk Institute military transport engineers (NIVIT).

In 1934, the faculty "Operation of railways" was opened (at present - "Management of the processes of transportation in railway transport").

In 1935, the first graduation of military engineers of railway transport took place, some of the graduates were sent to the People's Commissariat of Defense.

1941 - 1945

On June 22, 1941, NIVIT saw off the first volunteers to the front: A. Yakovlev, Z. Etitain, V. Kolesnikov, V. Golubovskaya, K. Sharikov, M. Gorbunov, V. Gusev, M. Loborev, B. Verzakov, L. Isakov . In October 1941, 64 listeners went to the front as volunteers, of which later the shock combat 6th Airborne Corps was formed.

During the years of the Great Patriotic War many engineers of the first issue became prominent military leaders. Lieutenant General A.P. Ragozin, Major General E.T. Yadov, V.K. Vdovenko, A.L. Yakovlev, colonels A.E. Koshkin, N.A. Tanin and many other pupils of NIVIT wrote glorious pages in the history of the institute with their heroic deeds on the military fronts.

Heroes Soviet Union listeners became V.N. Bezukladnikov, Yu.I. Deryabin, E.I. Sterol.

More than a thousand students and teachers of the institute fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, made a worthy contribution to the liberation of the Motherland from fascist invaders, 65 nivitovites died in battles.

During the war years, the work of the Institute staff continued:
- students were trained in laboratories, design bureaus and workshops; the term of study has been reduced from 6 to 3.5 years;
- the first military graduation of specialists took place - 175 nivitovites became engineers;
- the committee "Scientists - to the front" was actively operating, headed by associate professor S.V. Amelin;
- 1400 listeners participated in harvesting, in the construction of a pontoon bridge;
- the institute handed over to the evacuated instrument-making plant an educational building, two dormitories, a garage, a club;
- students of the first three courses were mobilized to work at a defense plant, logging, loading in a river port
- more than 3 million rubles were collected from loans, to the defense fund and for gifts to front-line soldiers; for the construction of the Nivitovets aircraft - 245 thousand rubles.

From the first days of its existence, talented Russian teachers, scientists, highly qualified specialists of railway transport and transport construction have gathered within the walls of the institute. The best graduates from Moscow, Leningrad, Tomsk became NIVIT employees. The pride of the institute was associate professors A.A. Savelov, L.N. Roznikov, K.A. Kuryndin, F.I. Slyusarchuk, G.A. Konovalov, professor A.F. Lutz, K.N. Mishchenko, L.K. Kudryashov, A.I. Pribytkov, V.E. Jewish.

For 20 years, NIVIT was the only railway university in the country that trained military transport specialists. NIVIT trained military engineers in five specialties: "Construction and survey of railways"; "Repair and maintenance of the track"; "Artificial constructions"; "Building"; "Water supply".

The number of railway university entrants is growing every year. Siberian State University of Communications (SGUPS) and the Omsk State University of Railways (OmGUPS) not only coped with the plan for admission new wave students, but also exceeded it.

Our railway universities knew in advance that recruitment would not be easy this year. This was evidenced by objective factors. This is the peak of the demographic crisis in Novosibirsk region, which fell on school graduates in 2012, and the complication of tasks for the unified state exam, which resulted in a decrease in the average score in general education subjects at final exams for schoolchildren, and the lack of a well-functioning system of career guidance interaction between secondary and higher educational institutions where not always everything depends on the university. Nevertheless, the "reception season" for SGUPS and OmGUPS ended very well.
- Anticipating all this, on September 1 last year, the leadership of our university set the task for the employees: without stopping and not slowing down, but in some places and increasing activity, move into a new career guidance year, - recalls Sergey Shchelokov, executive secretary of the admissions committee of SGUPS.
The Novosibirsk University recruited for four specialties, fifteen areas of bachelor's training and six areas of master's training. It should be noted that this year SGUPS has expanded the area of masters training. By the enrollment of students in 2012 were open new program within the direction of "management" - "logistics and supply chain management", as well as another direction - " Information Systems and technology".
I pleased the applicants with innovations and OmGUPS. According to the group Information Security» two specialties were added: «information security automated systems” and “information and analytical security systems”. A new direction of the master's program was also opened - "finance and credit".
- In general, we evaluate the results of admission positively, - commented the responsible secretary of the admission committee of OmGUPS Roman Simak. – The dynamics of growth is visible, but there is still work to be done. The volume of reception can be increased.

As a result, the admission committee of SGUPS only face-to-face 7162 applications were submitted, which is 6% more than a year ago. With such a number of applicants, the average competition for state-funded places in SGUPS amounted to 11.4 people per place (in 2011 this figure was 11.2).
OmGUPS accepted about 12 thousand applications from those who wanted to study here. Comparing this figure with last year's number of applications - 10.5 thousand - it is not difficult to understand how much the popularity of the university has increased over the year.
– The number of applications managed to increase so significantly, among other things, due to new technology their admission, introduced by our admissions committee this summer, Roman Simak shared. - I'm talking about separate processing of applications, in which applications from applicants were accepted by specially trained technical secretaries, and processed by other employees (previously, the same people were involved in both). Through this optimization throughput our commission has increased. In addition, comfortable conditions were created for applicants in the waiting room of the university: an electronic queue system, air conditioning, and showing videos about the university.
A few more words about the "new items of the season." The so-called "priority system" was introduced in OmGUPS, due to which the minimum passing score increased sharply: from last year's 118 to the current 164. The system is as follows. When submitting an application, the applicant indicates the priority specialties for him. If he does not pass to the most desired one, he goes to the second priority for him, if he is not lucky there either, he goes to the third one. computer program automatically distributes applicants by specialties and directions according to their preferences. Thanks to this, talented youth received a guarantee of admission to one of the three desired specialties, and the university - the best contingent of students.
Roman Sergeevich added that the work of the admission committee of the university is being improved every year, in connection with this, the number of accepted applications is growing every year.
SGUPS noted an increase in competition for technical specialties. So, for the specialty "operation of railways" the competition amounted to 7.4 people per place, for the specialty "construction of railways, bridges and transport tunnels" the specialization "management technical condition railway track" - 4.2, specialization "bridges and transport tunnels" - 6.3, as well as for the specialty "ground transport and technological means", and for the direction "construction" - 10.7 people per place.
In OmGUPS, the greatest competition was for the following railway specialties: "power supply" (8.1 per place), "locomotives" (7.7) and "automation and telemechanics" (7.5) .
The SGUPS fulfilled the set recruitment plan for state-funded places on time, and overfulfilled the off-budget plan for full-time students by almost a quarter. 1824 students were enrolled in the first course for full-time education at the university, 670 of them were enrolled in places with budget funding.
- The number of students admitted to full-time education at SGUPS increased by 18.5% compared to 2011, - Sergey Shchelokov notes with pleasure. - In addition, this year the university received 39 state-funded places for studying in the master's program, which is 2.6 times more than last year.
OmGUPS enrolled 1,336 newly-made students, 622 of them on the budget. Compared to last year, the number of newly enrolled extra-budgetary “full-time students” increased by 15 people. But the number of state-funded places, on the contrary, was slightly reduced (indicator of 2011 - 631 places).
The main customer for the training of specialists with higher vocational education JSC “Russian Railways” remains: out of 340 target students of OmGUPS, 265 students were accepted for branches and divisions of the company, 315 out of 344 target students who entered SGUPS - in the areas of our holding (240 are target employees of the West Siberian Railway).

  • Which Novosibirsk university is the easiest to enter

D even in the most unfashionable university, in the most unfashionable specialty, there will definitely be at least one applicant with prohibitively high USE scores. He is convinced from childhood that his vocation is the artificial insemination of Achatina snails, or is determined to continue family dynasty steam boiler whistle repairmen. In a word, as you understand, it makes little sense to compare the best of the best.

Another thing is the "best of the worst", those who hardly jumped into the outgoing train and became the last ones enlisted in the second wave. It is they who will become reliable reference points for anxious applicants in 2018, it is they (to be honest) that say a lot about the prospects of the university and the level of education in it.

For comparison, we used minimum scores with which applicants managed to enter state-funded places for a particular specialty (bachelor's or specialist's degree) in state universities. If there were too many specialties at the university (as, for example, at NSTU or Pedagogical University), we took the lowest score in each faculty for comparison and indicated the specialty for which this applicant was admitted. Let's make a reservation right away - we did not consider universities and specialties that held their own creative qualifying competitions. As you understand, the decisive factor there was far from USE scores.

Novosibirsk State University (NSU)

It is believed that the scores for admission to NSU should be prohibitively high, but this is true primarily for humanitarian specialties with an extremely low intake plan. To “break through” into linguistics or African studies, the student will really have to work hard.

As for more or less mass specialties, it is most difficult to enter computer science and computer technology and medical business GPA 84.3), the easiest way - on geology (71).

Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU)

Applicants will need high USE scores to enter non-core faculties that train humanities and businessmen. Also, NSTU is a great chance to become programmers for strong good students, who, however, do not have enough points for admission to NSU: the average score in the specialty "Mathematical and software information technologies» 74.3, 10 lower than at NSU.

But for the future thermal power engineers, it’s somehow a little insulting: the average score is 50 - these are C students! It has become a little clearer why every year our utility bills are growing ... However, for the parents of future power engineers, this good news- you can save on tutors.

Novosibirsk State Medical University (NSMU)

What a shame, no, well, what a shame that in the dentist's chair we find ourselves with wide open mouth, which has little to intellectual conversation! Because the titans of the spirit go to dentists, people are widely and diversified, educated, methodical, disciplined and value knowledge above all else: the minimum average score for admission to medical university is 90! No, of course, the requirements for Africanists at NSU are even higher, but... do you know many Africanists? And everyone has a familiar dentist, and this real hero our time!

In general, NSMU still remains a university for excellent students - even the most unpopular specialty - pediatrics (which is a shame) - requires an average score above 70.

Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management (NSUEU, Narxoz)

Novosibirsk State University, Novosibirsk State Technical University and Novosibirsk State Medical University can be safely considered the three leading universities in Novosibirsk, it is much easier to enter all the others. True, only a young talent of seven spans in the forehead can still become a manager in Narxoz (the minimum average score is 84), but good students with an average score of 63 have a chance to study at a respected university in computer science.

Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA), branch in Novosibirsk

An alternative to Narxoz is a branch of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of the Russian Federation. Of course, the Novosibirsk branch is far from the president, but on the prestige educational institution this does not affect in any way: in order to become a lawyer, an applicant will have to present a minimum average score of at least 85.3!

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (NSPU)

Learning English is still fashionable! The minimum average USE score for admission is just above 80, which is a very high figure. The easiest way was to enter the Faculty of Technology and Entrepreneurship (the minimum score is 167). In a word, only solid good students go to teachers - that's right!

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SGUGiT)

SGUGiT is a university that is quite accessible for strong C students. If you can become a nature management specialist with an average score of 64, then optotechnics (a very promising profession, by the way!) Is available to those who have an average score 10 points lower. Agree, in order to get an average score of 54-55 stars from the sky, you don’t need to miss it, just diligently study is enough!

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (SibGUTI)

Perhaps, SibGUTI cannot boast of the smartest applicants, but it should be noted that this year the composition of the groups will be quite even: for several specialties at once, the minimum passing score is equally roundly beautiful - 200, and far from this figure selection committee did not deviate. Of all the applicants who wanted to master nanoelectronics, it turned out to be the least - the minimum average score for this specialty was 58.7. Really "nano" going out of fashion?

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Novosibirsk State Agrarian University (NSAU)

If you planned to scold the exam - you can start. Because 43 points for the organizer Catering... Well, if the applicant will study at the university without much stress, then perhaps it's time to buy the collection "We Eat at Home". It is impossible to mention the recently come into vogue specialty "landscape architecture". Modern gardeners must be solid good students with an average USE score of at least 60.

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Siberian State University of Communications (SGUPS)

Can't be happier for the future transport logistics- only excellent students with an average score of at least 70 are taken there. Otherwise, this is an excellent university for ambitious C students. Do you dream of managing an international corporation, saving companies from bankruptcy, maybe just becoming a lawyer, but you didn’t even get 50 points in the Unified State Examination? Well, it doesn’t matter, the main thing is to believe in yourself and your dream! SGUPS already believes in you!

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Siberian State University of Water Transport (SGUVT)

Wanted to become transport logistics, but there are not enough points for admission to SGUPS? It doesn't matter, there is SGUVT! Here (paradox!) it is the most unpopular specialty. An applicant with a score of 107 was admitted to the budget department. That is, he barely received a certificate, but this did not stop him from continuing his education at the expense of taxpayers ... We believe that the discussion about the inaccessibility of higher education in Russia can be considered over. How accessible! On the other hand - but really, what kind of logistics is on the river? Especially with the flow: you swim and swim ...

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (NGASU, Sibstrin)

NGASU has always been a fallback for those who didn't make it to the more artistically picky NGUADI, where the emphasis is on art rather than construction. But it seems that it is time to reconsider this point of view - it is as difficult to enter a number of specialties here as at NSU. However, the main specialty of the university - construction itself - is still available to most applicants, the minimum average score for admission is below 55.

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Novosibirsk Technological Institute (NTI)

The requirements for applicants planning to become geophysicists are lower than for future merchandisers! Compare: 213 - passing score of GGF NSU, 215 - passing score for merchandising at NTI. so trade is still a prestigious specialty! By the way, there are much fewer people wishing to become technologists at the institute - the minimum average passing score is below 40, which causes serious fears for the future of light industry. Not geophysics, of course, but still it is desirable to be a specialist with a sharp mind who loves innovation ...

(Click on chart to enlarge)

Which Novosibirsk university is the easiest to enter

With what amount of points you can still get to budget education at a particular university.

What conclusions can be drawn from our review?

    The devil is not so terrible as he is painted! It is realistic to enter a university in Novosibirsk with almost any result of the Unified State Examination (if, of course, you don’t care which university).

    If the diploma of a particular university is important to you, and the USE results are not high, then you should look at related specialties - often the passing scores for them differ quite significantly. If a particular profession is important to you, passing scores for the same specialty in different universities can vary by a hundred points. There is room for maneuver!

    Of course, it should be taken into account that graduates this year were born in 1999 - one of the most disastrous from a demographic point of view. But even taking this into account, admission to the budgetary department of graduates who barely overcame the bar for obtaining a certificate - dubious achievement. What will be the qualifications of a graduate who, with grief, mastered school curriculum? Or is it like this ? Perhaps now you will take a different attitude towards the initiatives of the government, which is striving to reduce the number of state-funded places in universities ...

Get ready to apply to universities in 2018! Good luck to children and valerian - to mothers!
